Objectives: To assess the efficacy of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for patients with chronic pain. Materials and methods: The research conducted a systematic search of the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO, and Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) databases following the PRISMA guidelines. The retrieval time limit was from the establishment of the database to October 2023. A meta-analysis was carried out for the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria by using RevMan 5.3. Results: Twenty-one RCTs were included. At post-treatment, a significant medium effect size (ES) was found in measuring pain interference, functional impairment, pain acceptance, psychological inflexibility, and depression; Pain intensity, anxiety, and quality of life (QOL) had a small ES. At three months post-treatment, a large ES was found in measuring functional impairment, and a medium ES was found in the other indicators. Conclusion: The researchers provided evidence for the effectiveness of ACT as an intervention for patients with chronic pain, which can be applied by clinicians or nurses in practice. Future research should explore the applicability of ACT to different pain conditions and modalities. Implications for nursing: Post-treatment data highlight the efficacy of ACT in moderating pain-related outcomes. Clinical nurses are encouraged to incorporate ACT into routine patient education and interventions, including promoting pain acceptance, promoting mindfulness practices, and using cognitive stress reduction techniques. Standardized follow-up after an ACT intervention for patients with chronic pain is critical, including regular assessment, feedback, and realignment of treatment strategies. This meta‐analysis is intended to evaluate the effect of both robotic and open‐cut operations on postoperative complications of stomach carcinoma. From the earliest date until June 2023, a full and systemic search has been carried out on four main databases with keywords extracted from 'Robot', 'Gastr' and 'Opene'. The ROBINS‐I instrument has been applied to evaluate the risk of bias in nonrandomized controlled trials. In these 11 trials, a total of 16 095 patients had received surgical treatment for stomach cancer and all 11 trials were nonrandomized, controlled trials. Abdominal abscesses were reported in 5 trials, wound infections in 8 trials, haemorrhage in 7 trials, wound dehiscence in 2 trials and total postoperative complications in 4 trials. Meta‐analyses revealed no statistically significantly different rates of postoperative abdominal abscesses among patients who had received robotic operations than in those who had received open surgical procedures (OR, 0.91; 95% CI, 0.25, 3.36; p = 0.89). The incidence of bleeding after surgery was not significantly different from that in both groups (OR, 1.37; 95% CI, 0.69, 2.75; p = 0.37). Similarly, there was no significant difference between the two groups (OR, 0.78; 95% CI, 0.52, 1.18; p = 0.24). No significant difference was found between the two groups (OR, 1. 28; 95% CI, 0.75, 2.21; p = 0.36). No significant difference was found between the two groups of patients who had received the robotic operation and those who had received the surgery after the operation (OR, 1.14; 95% CI, 0.78, 1.66; p = 0.49). Generally speaking, this meta‐analysis suggests that the use of robotics does not result in a reduction in certain postsurgical complications, including wound infections and abdominal abscesses. Thus, the use of a microinvasive robot for stomach carcinoma operation might not be better than that performed on the surgical site after the operation. Rutin, a flavonoid glycoside, has been reported to exert neuroprotective effects. Loss of endogenous estrogen and dysregulation of the estrogen receptor (ER) signaling pathway are associated with the increased risk of stroke in women after menopause. This study was performed to investigate whether rutin could protect against cerebral ischemia by modulating the ER pathway. Ovariectomized (OVX) rats were given intraperitoneal injections of vehicle (dimethyl sulfoxide), rutin (100 mg/kg body mass) or 17[beta]-estradiol (100 [micro]g/kg body mass) for 5 consecutive days. Then, the rats were subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) for 1 h followed by a 24 h reperfusion to establish the cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury. We found that rutin improved the sensorimotor performance and recognition memory of rats subjected to I/R, decreased the infarct size, and attenuated neuron loss. Rutin treatment also increased the levels of ER[alpha], ER[beta], brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF), tropomyosin receptor kinase A (TrkA), TrkB, and phospho-cAMP-responsive element binding protein (p-CREB) in rat hippocampus and cerebral cortex. The protective effects of rutin were comparable to that of 17[beta]-estradiol, and were partially blocked by ICI182780, an ER antagonist. The above results suggest that rutin preconditioning ameliorates cerebral I/R injury in OVX rats through ER-mediated BDNF-TrkB and NGF-TrkA signaling. La perte d'estrogenes endogenes et la deregulation de la voie de signalisation du recepteur des estrogenes (ER) sont associes a un risque accru d'accidents vasculaires cerebraux chez les femmes apres la menopause. Cette etude a ete realisee afin d'examiner si la rutine pouvait exercer un effet protecteur contre l'ischemie cerebrale en modulant la voie du ER. Des rats soumis a une ovariectomie (OVX) ont recu une injection intraperitoneale de vehicule (DMSO), de rutine (100 mg/kg de masse corporelle) ou de 17[beta]-estradiol (100 [micro]g/kg de masse corporelle) pendant 5 jours consecutifs. Par la suite, les rats ont ete soumis a une occlusion legere de l'artere cerebrale pendant 1 heure, suivie d'une reperfusion de 24 h afin d'etablir un dommage cerebral d'ischemie-reperfusion (I/R). Les auteurs ont trouve que la rutine ameliorait la performance sensorimotrice et la memoire de reconnaissance chez les rats I/R, diminuait la taille de l'infarctus et attenuait la perte neuronale. Le traitement a la rutine accroissait aussi les niveaux d'ER[alpha], d'ER[beta], du facteur neurotrophique derive du cerveau (BDNF), du facteur de croissance du tissu nerveux (NGF), de la kinase du recepteur de tropomyosine A (TrkA), de TrkB et de la proteine liant l'element de reponse a l'AMPc phosphorylee (p-CREB) dans l'hippocampe et le cortex cerebral des rats. Les effets protecteurs de la rutine etaient comparables a ceux du 17[beta]-estradiol et etaient bloques partiellement par l'ICI182780, un antagoniste du ER. Les resultats ci-haut suggerent qu'un preconditionnement a la rutine ameliore le dommage d'I/R chez les rats OVX par les voies de signalisation du BDNF-TrkB et du NGF-TrkA mediees par le ER. Objective.To investigate the expression of mucin 5AC (MUC5AC) in airway of children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP), and to provide clinical value for early diagnosis and treatment of MPP mucus plug. Methods.A total of 94 children with MPP who were hospitalized for alveolar lavage from April 2022 to October 2022 were included in the MPP group. According to whether mucus plug was observed under the first fiberoptic bronchoscope, the MPP group was divided into mucus plug group (n = 41) and non-mucus plug group (n = 53). Relevant clinical data and laboratory examination data were collected. Results.Compared with non mucus plug group, the mucus plug group had a longer heat duration and hospital stay, and the levels of CRP, LDH,PCT, D-dimer, MP-DNA copy value of lavage fluid, IL-17, MUC5AC were all increased,with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). MUC5AC was positively correlated with LDH and IL-17 levels (r = 0.54, P = 0.002, r = 0.39, P = 0.019). The ROC curve plotted based on the level of MUC5AC had an area under the ROC curve of 0.811, a sensitivity of 86.2% and a specificity of 71.4% for predicting formation of mucus plug in MPP. Conclusions.There was an increase in the level of MUC5AC in children with mucus plug group in MPP, and the level of MUC5AC had a certain value for predicting mucus plug formation.
