This paper is devoted to the study of the asymptotic dynamics of the stochastic damped sine-Gordon equation with homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. It is shown that for any positive damping and diffusion coefficients, the equation possesses a random attractor, and when the damping and diffusion coefficients are sufficiently large, the random attractor is a one-dimensional random horizontal curve regardless of the strength of noise. Hence its dynamics is not chaotic. It is also shown that the equation has a rotation number provided that the damping and diffusion coefficients are sufficiently large, which implies that the solutions tend to oscillate with the same frequency eventually and the so called frequency locking is successful., Comment: JDE 248 (2010). arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1207.3864

We consider the synchronization of solutions to coupled systems of the conjugate random ordinary differential equations (RODEs) for the $N$-Stratronovich stochastic ordinary differential equations (SODEs) with linear multiplicative noise ($N\in \mathbb{N}$). We consider the synchronization between two solutions and among different components of solutions under one-sided dissipative Lipschitz conditions. We first show that the random dynamical system generated by the solution of the coupled RODEs has a singleton sets random attractor which implies the synchronization of any two solutions. Moreover, the singleton sets random attractor determines a stationary stochastic solution of the equivalently coupled SODEs. Then we show that any solution of the RODEs converge to a solution of the averaged RODE within any finite time interval as the coupled coefficient tends to infinity. Our results generalize the work of two Stratronovich SODEs in \cite{9}.

This paper is devoted to the study of the asymptotic dynamics of a class of coupled second order oscillators driven by white noises. It is shown that any system of such coupled oscillators with positive damping and coupling coefficients possesses a global random attractor. Moreover, when the damping and the coupling coefficients are sufficiently large, the global random attractor is a one-dimensional random horizontal curve regardless of the strength of the noises, and the system has a rotation number, which implies that the oscillators in the system tend to oscillate with the same frequency eventually and therefore the so called frequency locking is successful. The results obtained in this paper generalize many existing results on the asymptotic dynamics for a single second order noisy oscillator to systems of coupled second order noisy oscillators. They show that coupled damped second order oscillators with large damping have similar asymptotic dynamics as the limiting coupled first order oscillators as the damping goes to infinite and also that coupled damped second order oscillators have similar asymptotic dynamics as their proper space continuous counterparts, which are of great practical importance., Comment: 20 pages

The existence of a global attractor for the solution semiflow of the extended Brusselator system in the $L^2$ phase space is proved, which is a cubic-autocatalytic and partially reversible reaction-diffusion system with linear coupling between two compartments. The method of grouping and re-scaling estimation is developed to deal with the challenge in proving the absorbing property and the asymptotic compactness of this typical multi-component reaction-diffusion systems. It is also proved that the global attractor is an $(H, E)$ global attractor with the $L^\infty$ regularity and that the Hausdorff dimension and the fractal dimension of the global attractor are finite. The results and methodology can find many applications and further extensions in complex biological and biochemical dynamical systems., Comment: 30 pages
