Abstract

Avertical oxide semiconductor thin film transistor (VTFT) with channel lengthof 0.4 μm wasdeveloped in our work. This VTFT has a small footprint, which isconducive to achieving higher resolutiom. In this work, we produced a VTFT by usinga hardmask etching process and designed different vertical structures, such asslope, hole, etc. The device achieved an on‐state current of 20.6 μA (normalized with width) and an off‐state current below 1 pA. Abstract

Based on Vietnam’s 2009 population census, we use a population prediction model with three schemes (high, medium, and low) to predict the population and structural changes in Vietnam from 2010 to 2049, and we analyze the trend of Vietnam’s future aging population. Our results show that (1) Vietnam’s population will continue to increase in the next 40 years, but the population growth rate will continue to decline, and the population will exceed 100 million in approximately 2024; (2) Vietnam’s demographic structure will change significantly as the fertility level and life expectancy increase; and (3) Vietnam will enter an aging society starting in 2018, while the degree of aging will continue to deepen. The proportion of the population over the age of 60 in Vietnam will exceed 25% of the total population by 2049. In the next 40 years, Vietnam will face the severe challenge of an aging population.

Abstract

This paper formulates the optimal power flow (OPF) problem with the consideration of minimizing many objective functions including the basic fuel cost, fuel cost with valve-point effects, transmission active power loss, basic fuel cost with transmission active power loss as well as basic fuel cost with voltage deviation. To solve the OPF problem, a novel crisscross search based grey wolf optimizer (CS-GWO) is proposed, in which the hunting operation in GWO is firstly modified by introducing a greedy mechanism and then the horizontal crossover operator is added to refine the first three ranking wolves. In addition, the vertical crossover operator is applied to maintain the population diversity so as to prevent the premature convergence, which provides a unique mechanism for GWO to get rid of dimensional local optimum. The cooperation of last two operators can accelerate convergence speed and avoid falling into dimensional local optimum of hunting process. The proposed CS-GWO is validated on IEEE 30-bus system and IEEE 118-bus system. The experimental results demonstrate the CS-GWO has obvious advantage over the original GWO and the other state-of-art heuristic algorithms, especially in large-scale system.

Abstract

Trading volume changes based on market microstructure will impact asset prices, which will lead to transaction price changes. Based on the extended Hasbrouck–Foster–Viswanathan (HFV) model, we study the statistical characteristics of daily permanent price impact and daily temporary price impact using high-frequency data from Chinese Stock Markets. We estimate this model using tick-by-tick data for 16 selected stocks that are traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. We find the following: (1) the time series of both the permanent price impact and temporary price impact exist in stationarity and long-term memory; (2) there is a strong correlation between the permanent price impact among assets, while the correlation coefficient of the temporary price impact is generally weak; (3) the time interval has no significant influence on the trade volume and the price change at the tick frequency, which means that it is not necessary to take into account the time interval between adjacent transaction in high-frequency trading; and (4) the bid-ask spread is an effective factor to explain trading price change, but has no significant impact on trade volume.
