30. 3D-Graphite Felt Self-loaded Rich Co3O4 Nanoparticle Electrodes for Chlorine Evolution Reaction at Low Concentration Chloride Ion.

Abstract

To investigate a highly active catalyst for CER and explore low concentrations of Cl− electrocatalytic product Cl2, Co3O4/GF catalysts were constructed by a methanesulfonic acid system plating and calcination process. SEM shows Co3O4/GF-0.1 has a uniform distribution of nanoparticles. TEM, XRD, and XPS results confirmed the formation of Co3O4. The catalytic activity in high concentrations of Cl− and low concentrations of Cl− are discussed. LSV suggests Co3O4/GF-0.1 with an initial potential of 1.06 V, The overpotential at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 is 232 m V, Tafel slope 109.26 mV dec−1, the CER reaction order is 0.54 at 1, 2 and 3 M NaCl, and 0.18 at 4, 5 and 6 M NaCl, too high concentration of Cl− slow down control of speed. In low concentration solution, the CER reaction order is 0.99, which can achieve the degradation rate of 90.8% in 50 ppm ammonia nitrogen. The apparent constant and the concentration of Cl− conform to the equation K = 1.44 × 10–3 C00.95. From low concentration to high concentration, energy consumption decreased, and Faraday efficiency increased. Electrode with jECSA = 0.52 mA cm−2, 3D structure GF has a large specific active area that promotes the diffusion of Cl−. This work provides analysis methods and ideas for the preparation of the high activity and stability CER catalyst at low Cl− concentrations in the actual water body. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

42. Electrochemical behaviors of graphene decorated sulfurized polyurethane foam-based ultra-microporous carbon

Abstract

Polyurethane foam is a typical commercial polymer with a large production quantity and its waste needs to be recycled. This work reports a facile method to prepare ultra-microporous carbon from the polyurethane foam (PUF) waste and use it as a reservoir to impregnate sulfur for Li-S batteries. The raw PUF was carbonized and then activated with KOH. By controlling the activation temperatures, four carbon materials (PUFC-T) with different textures and N-doping levels were obtained. PUFC-800 shows the highest BET surface area, microporous volume, and quaternary N and pyridine N-oxide species. The electrochemical test results showed that higher microporous volume is beneficial to increase the uniform distribution of sulfur, as a result, the cycle stability and rate capacity is improved significantly. A large reversible capacity of 542 mAh g-1 can be retained at a large current of 0.5 C after 200 cycles with high sulfur loading of 70%.

Abstract

In the field of robust audio watermarking, how to seek a good trade-off between robustness and imperceptibility is challenging. The existing studies use the same embedding parameter for each part of the audio signal, which ignores that different parts may have different requirements for embedding parameters. In this work, the constraints on imperceptibility are first analysed. Then, we present a segment multi-objective optimization model of the scaling parameter under the constrained Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in Spread spectrum (SS) audio watermarking. Additionally, we adopt the Nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) to solve the proposed model. Finally, we compare our algorithm (called SS-SNR-NSGA-II) with the existing methods. The experimental results show that the proposed SS-SNRNSGA-II not only provides flexible choices for different application demands but also achieves more and better trade-offs between imperceptibility and robustness.

46. Marital Satisfaction, Family Functioning, and Children’s Mental Health—The Effect of Parental Co-Viewing

Abstract

Using 318 household data concerning children during middle childhood (8–13), we examined the association among each parent’s marital satisfaction, the child’s perceived family functioning, and the child’s anxiety and depression. Second, we investigated whether the other parent could buffer or facilitate this chain effect by co-viewing programs via various devices with their child so as to improve the child’s perceived family functioning. Results verified the mediation effect that maternal marital satisfaction was positively associated with the child’s perceived family functioning, which, in turn, decreased the child’s depression. In addition, the results indicated that increased paternal co-viewing enhanced the positive association between maternal marital satisfaction and the child’s perceived family functioning and then decreased the child’s depression. The theoretical and practical implications are discussed within the framework of family systems theory, parental media interventions, and the different roles of the father and mother in family functionality.
