2. Uniform Convergence Rate of the Nonparametric Estimator for Integrated Diffusion Processes

Abstract

Nonparametric estimation of integrated diffusion processes has been thoroughly studied, primarily focusing on point-wise convergence. This paper firstly obtains the uniform convergence rates of the Nadaraya-Watson estimators for the coefficients of the integrated diffusion processes. We derive the uniform convergence rates over unbounded support under the shrinking observation interval and long time span assumption. While existing literature suggests that the convergence rate for the diffusion coefficient estimator in continuous-time diffusion processes can reach $(\log n/n)^{2/5}$, which corresponds to the minimax lower bound in sup-norm risk for nonparametric estimation with i.i.d. data. However, we find that the diffusion coefficient estimator of integrated diffusion processes can not attain this rate. Our results are necessary tools for specification testing and semiparametric estimation of certain types of diffusion processes and time series, based on nonparametric estimators, with applications in fields such as finance, geology, and physics.

3. Nonparametric estimation of FBSDEs with random terminal time

Abstract

This paper investigates the nonparametric estimation of the functional coefficients of the FBSDEs with random terminal time, including the local constant and local linear estimators. We provide complete two-dimensional asymptotics in both the time span and the sampling interval, allowing for the precise characterization of their distribution. Moreover, the empirical likelihood (EL) method to construct the data-driven confidence intervals for these estimators is provided. Some numerical simulations investigate the finite-sample properties of the estimators and compare the performance of the EL method and the conventional method in constructing confidence intervals based on asymptotic normality.

Abstract

Continuity of care is the basic principle and core feature of general practice. A high level of continuity of care is beneficial to improve patient satisfaction and reduce mortality. Accurate assessment of continuity of care is the prerequisite for improving the level of it. Quantitative assessment indexes of continuity of care can not only guide medical staff to improve continuity of care, but also assist healthcare administrators in improving governance measures, so as to provide the best service for patients by reflecting the level of continuity of care. Therefore, quantitative assessment of continuity of care is necessary and crucial. However, at present, there are few researches on the concept and application of quantitative assessment indexes of continuity of care in China. Therefore, by summarizing domestic and foreign literature, this paper classifies the common quantitative assessment indexes of continuity of care, summarizes the diseases and populations to which the indicators are applied, and analyzes the limitations of existing indexes and possible improvement directions in the future, in order to provide a theoretical basis for domestic researchers to select indexes for application.

Abstract

With advancements in radiology, endoscopic techniques, surgical treatments, cell biology and molecular biology, the understanding of temporomandibular disorders(TMD)has increased. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a complex structure comprising both soft and hard tissues. Within the TMJ, the temporomandibular disc is a soft tissue structure that connects the mandible to the skull, providing cushioning and stability during joint movement. Different imaging techniques have their own advantages and limitations in the diagnosis and treatment of TMD. Therefore, using image registration technology to assess the condition and position of the articular disc provides new research perspectives for evaluating TMD, which may contribute to the diagnosis and treatment. This article reviews the latest advancements in TMJ imaging, explores the applications of various image registration techniques, particularly in the context of TMD diagnosis and treatment, and discusses future prospects. Combining the research results of some scholars at home and abroad with the author’s clinical experience, the article aims to provide valuable insights for clinicians.

12. Finite element and integral equation methods to conical diffraction by imperfectly conducting gratings

Abstract

In this paper we study the variational method and integral equation methods for a conical diffraction problem for imperfectly conducting gratings modeled by the impedance boundary value problem of the Helmholtz equation in periodic structures. We justify the strong ellipticity of the sesquilinear form corresponding to the variational formulation and prove the uniqueness of solutions at any frequency. Convergence of the finite element method using the transparent boundary condition (Dirichlet-to-Neumann mapping) is verified. The boundary integral equation method is also discussed.

Abstract

Suppose that a plane wave is incident onto an impenetrable grating profile of Dirichlet or Impedance type or a penetrable grating. The grating interface is assumed to be given by a Lipschitz function in two dimensions. We derive stability estimate of the grating diffraction problem via variational method with an explicit dependence of solutions on the incident wavenumber and incident angle.

Abstract

Background In 2019, the National Health Commission launched the construction of compact county medical alliance to strengthen chronic diseases management in primary care, and the construction of chronic disease management models varies among county medical alliance sites. Xindu District, as one of the first national compact county medical alliance sites in Sichuan Province, has explored both dimensions of theoretical and practical innovation in the construction of the innovative model of chronic disease management in compact county medical alliance with treatment-prevention integration, providing a new approach for the innovative development of primary compact county medical alliance in China. Objective To analyze the innovation model and its effectiveness of chronic disease management in compact county medical alliance with treatment-prevention integration of Xindu District with the experience of international integrated medical models. Methods The chronic disease management in compact county medical alliance with treatment-prevention integration of Xindu District was constructed with "one center, two integration, three reforms and four safeguard mechanisms" under the leadership of Xindu District Health Bureau, to strengthen the management of chronic diseases mainly including hypertension and diabetes.
