The stress and strain analysis is indispensable for the design and development of high field superconducting magnet. In this paper, a stress analysis with elastic and plastic theory for high magnetic field split superconducting magnet was introduced. By the stress analysis theory, the stress of 13 T split superconducting magnet for neutron scattering was simulated and discussed. Based on the analysis results, the structure of coils was modified by three ways including reduce the maximum magnetic field, applied pre-stress and increased thermal stress. After modified, the peak stress is 165 MPa appeared on the third Nb3Sn coils when the magnet is charged to operating current of 114 A. The peak value of radial stress on superconducting coils is 11.4 MPa appeared on the inner Nb3Sn coils reduced from 21.3 MPa. The stress along axis on the coils is less than 80.7 MPa reduced from 90.6 MPa. The hoop stress on the superconducting coils is 154 MPa which effected on the inner side of the third Nb3Sn coils reduced from 171 MPa. The developing risk of 13 T split superconducting magnet for neutron scattering is reduced significantly.

Recently, the dark sleeper [Odontobutis potamophila (Günther, 1861)] was selected as a potential aquaculture target. However, the feeding behavior of this species remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the influence of water temperature, habitat type, light intensity and photoperiod on the predatory performance of dark sleepers against juvenile demersal mrigal carp [Cirrhinus mrigala (Hamilton, 1822)] in the laboratory. Our results showed that both the prey consumption and the feeding rate of dark sleepers increased significantly with increases in water temperature (22–34 °C) and stabilized between 26–34 °C. Additionally, both the prey consumption and the feeding rate were higher in vegetated habitats than those in open areas at 22–30 °C, although no significant differences were detected. The prey consumption and the feeding rate of dark sleepers increased significantly with decreased light intensity (0–1350 lx) and shortened light duration (0–14 h), indicating that this fish prefers feeding in dark environments. These results will help elucidate the influence of environmental variables on this species’ predatory performance and create suitable protocols for its culture.

According to the procurement agreement with the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP) in China is responsible for the construction and performance testing of 31 sets of feeder systems, which contain also 60 high-temperature superconducting (HTS) current leads. In 2014/2015, three pairs of prototype current leads of three different types are being built and tested. A first pair of correction coil (CC) type, 10-kA current lead prototypes was built and cold tested in ASIPP in early 2015. The test items cover the joint resistance, overheating time test, mass flow consumption in steady-state operation for various currents, and the pulsed current scenario test. This paper presents the test results for the prototype CC 10-kA HTS current leads.

In order to objectively evaluate the systematic differences in the area of annual disaster relief before and after the scientific implementation of artificial flood control in the Akesu area of Xinjiang, the effect of artificial flood control in the area was analyzed. This paper uses the data of the annual disaster area of the Akesu area from 1978 to 2013, and starts the year of artificial flood control operation in 1996 as a science. Using the statistical methods such as sequence test, unpaired rank sum test and Welch test, artificial prevention of science The systematic differences in the annual disaster area of each 18a before and after the operation were analyzed. The results show that the hail disasters in the Akesu area are significantly reduced after the artificial anti-mite operation. The non-parametric unpaired rank sum test has a significance level of 0.05, the parametric Welch test has a significance level of 0.01, and the average annual disaster area is reduced by 15063 hm2. The reduction rate was 43.14%. Combined with agricultural economic data, the annual average reduction of disaster relief losses is 281.09 million yuan, the annual input-output ratio is 1:6, and the statistical significance level reaches 0.1. Therefore, after the scientific implementation of artificial flood control operations in the Akesu area, the hail disaster losses are significantly reduced, and the social and economic benefits of disaster reduction are significant.

To further evaluate the differences of annual hailstorm areas before and after the scientifically carrying out artificial hail suppression period in Akesu in the hope of analyzing the effect. In this paper, the method of the regression test of areas was applied, the differences of annual hailstorm areas before and after 18a of the scientifically carrying out artificial hail suppression period in Akesu were analyzed with annual hailstorm areas data from 1978 - 2013 in Akesu and Kashi with 1996 as the year of artificial hail suppression. The results showed that the average annual hail area was reduced 23802 hm2, and the relative loss rate was 54.5% after the operation of scientifically artificial hail suppression in Akesu. Combined with the agricultural economic data, the average annual reduction of hail disaster loss was 444,170,000 RMB, annual input and output ratio nearly was 1:10. The statistical significant level highly reached α=0.01. Therefore, through scientifically carrying out artificial hail suppression operations, it is obvious that hail disaster losses reduced and the social and economic benefits are great in Akesu.
