Lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2) and graphite-based Li-ion batteries have been widely applied for consumer electronics because of the long cycle life and easy preparation. However, the limited capacity for traditional materials hampers the practical application for high energy-density battery. Conventional electrolyte system could not satisfy the need for high-capacity materials. Here, methylene methanedisulfonate (MMDS) was chosen as electrolyte additive for enhancing the available capacity for LiCoO2 and graphite-based battery. The effect of MMDS on the LiCoO2 cathode and graphite anode was investigated via multi electrochemical methods. It was found that the capacity for cells with MMDS electrolyte additive increases (from 142.6 mAh g−1 for pristine to 193.4 mAh g−1 on LiCoO2/Li battery, from 275.5 mAh g−1 for pristine to 407.0 mAh g−1 on graphite/Li battery). The experimental results indicate that improved capacity by MMDS electrolyte additive can be attributable to the stabilized interface on both cathode and anode sides, leading to superior interfacial Li+ kinetics and mitigated bulk structural degradation, which was further confirmed by the ex-situ electrochemical and structural characterization. The consumption of contaminated finfish from the polluted river channel of Turag‐Tongi‐Balu, Kamarpara site, Dhaka poses significant health hazards to humans. We used mass spectrometry on chemically digested liquid samples from five fish species from Turag‐Tongi‐Balu to estimate the concentrations of 10 elements (Cr, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Cd, Fe, and Pb). Except M. vittatus, the mean concentrations of Cd, Mn, Pb, and Se exceeded the Food Safety Guideline (FSG) value in all fish species. Among the species studied, L. rohita, C. punctata, C. batrachus, H. fossilis, and M. vittatus exhibited higher Mn concentrations surpassing the FSG threshold, thus elevating the non‐carcinogenic risk across all species. There were statistically significant differences (p <.05) in the mean concentrations of heavy metals among fish species. The Target Hazard Quotient (THQ) value of Mn poses a significant non‐carcinogenic risk to human health, while the hazard of other metals is negligible. Except for M. vittus, the Hazard Index value (HI ≥ 1) revealed the risk that all metals exceed the limit and pose a threat to human health. Cd, As, and Ni metals pose a significant carcinogenic risk to human health from the consumption of fish samples, which is a particularly alarming target cancer risk (TCR). In conclusion, regular dietary consumption of fish from this polluted ecosystem of the Turag‐Tongi‐Balu River channel's Kamarpara site poses a significant health risk and is indicated as cancer. Vocs have become a weak base for air pollution control compared to particulate matter, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide. Petrochemical, chemical, industrial coating, packaging and printing, oil storage and Marketing Industries (hereinafter referred to as key industries) are China’s key sources of VOCs emissions. In order to win the battle of protecting the blue sky and improve the air quality, it is urgent to strengthen the comprehensive treatment of VOCs in key industries. In order to fully understand the comprehensive treatment and emission control of industrial sources of organic waste gases in the city, an updated survey was conducted on the emission of VOCs from industrial sources in the region, and the results of the survey were analyzed Analysis report on VOCs emission and comprehensive treatment in key industries.

It is imperative to improve the monitoring level of organic waste gas pollution by carrying out real-time monitoring of working conditions, which is in line with national policy and social development. Due to the complex composition, widespread distribution of pollution sources and unorganized emission, it is difficult to control organic waste gas effectively only by current emission regulation. The government should follow up continuously and in real time the status of environmental protection equipment opened by polluting enterprises when the technical conditions permits. It is realized the real-time data collection, transmission, storage and form various reports to monitor, check and judge the working status. Through the implementation of the real-time monitoring of working conditions, the supervision efficiency is improved, the management means is enriched, and a great deal of manpower and management costs are saved.

Considering the land shortage features of a given district in Hangzhou city, the High-sludge sedimentation tank + denitrification filtering tank + nitrification filtering tank + cloth media filtering tank process is adopted for purification treatment. When the system (with the treatment scale of 15,000m3/d) runs for 60 days, the average removal rate of COD and ammoniacal nitrogen are 86% and 96% respectively and the effluent quality reach the quasi grade IV standard.

The aim of this work was to investigate the biomass proliferation and its impact on the operation of a submerged membrane bioreactor (sMBR). A programmable logic controller (PLC) was used to control the process of the sMBR with no discharge of sludge. When MLSS was 9670 mg/L and the solid retention times (SRT) ranged from 20 to 40 days, the optimal removal efficiencies of COD, NH3-N, TP were 93.89%, 93.02%, 80.57%, respectively. Accompanying with the decreasing of the sludge loading, the substrate and nutrition were insufficient in the sMBR, leading to endogenous respiration of the activated sludge, which decreased the activity of sludge and resulted in the death of more microorganisms.

The copper-cerium binary oxide catalysts supported by titanium dioxide with nanosphere core-shell structures, nanotube (TNT) core-shell structures, impregnation (imp) nanoparticles and sol-gel nanoparticles were prepared for NH 3 -SCR of NO x under medium-low temperature conditions. The effect of different morphologies on the Cu-Ce/TiO 2 catalysts was comprehensively studied through physicochemical characterization. The results showed that the sol-gel nanoparticles exhibited 100% NO x reduction efficiency in the temperature range of 180-400 °C. Compared with the other catalysts, the sol-gel nanoparticle catalyst had the highest dispersion and lowest crystallinity, indicating that morphology played an important role in the NH 3 -SCR of the catalyst. The in situ DRIFTS study on the sol-gel nanoparticle catalyst shows that cerium could promote Cu 2+ to produce abundant Lewis acid sites, which would significantly increase the adsorption reaction of ammonia on the catalyst surface, thereby promoting the occurrence of the Eley-Rideal (E-R) mechanism. With the Ce-Ti interaction on the atomic scale, the Ce-O-Ti structure enhanced the redox properties at a medium temperature. In addition, cerium oxide enhances the strong interaction between the catalyst matrix and CuO particles.
