LINC00937 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) up-regulated in multiple human carcinomas, such as oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). However, the significance and potential mechanisms of LINC00937 in OSCC progression are still primarily need discussed. In our study, we first showed the part of LINC00937 in OSCC progress, and our data showed that LINC00937 has up-regulated in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) datasets and OSCC tissues. At the same time, LINC00937 is located in the cell nucleus. Up-regulate level of LINC00937 was correct with advanced clinical survival as well as HPV expression. Receiver operating curve (ROC) results showed the diagnostic ability of LINC00937 (AUC = 0.712) in OSCC patients. Meanwhile, LINC00937 is positively correct with FGR and IL10RA expression, downstream genes for LINC00937 in OSCC progress by PPI. In addition, pathway analysis showed LINC00937 was correlated with immune infiltrated cells relative-singling pathways. Finally, the silence of LINC00937 suppresses OSCC cell growth, induces apoptosis, inhibits migration, and invades in vitro. Our findings demonstrated that LINC00937 regulates expression of the downstream gene (FGR/IL10RA) and then regulates cell growth as well as metastasis in OSCC. Our data proved a piece of evidence that LINC00937 could serve as a prognostic biomarker for OSCC controlling immune infiltration.

Dam removal is considered an effective measure to solve the adverse ecological effects caused by dam construction and has started to be considered in China. The sediment migration and habitat restoration of river ecosystems after dam removal have been extensively studied abroad but are still in the exploratory stage in China. However, there are few studies on the ecological response of fishes at different growth stages. Considering the different habitat preferences of Schizothorax prenanti (S. prenanti) in the spawning and juvenile periods, this study coupled field survey data and a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model to explore the changes in river morphology at different scales and the impact of changes in hydrodynamic conditions on fish habitat suitability in the short term. The results show that after the dam is removed, in the upstream of the dam, the riverbed is eroded and cut down and the riverbed material coarsens. With the increase in flow velocity and the decrease in flow area, the weighted usable area (WUA) in the spawning and juvenile periods decreases by 5.52% and 16.36%, respectively. In the downstream of the dam, the riverbed is markedly silted and the bottom material becomes fine. With the increase in water depth and flow velocity, the WUA increases by 79.91% in the spawning period and decreases by 67.90% in the juvenile period, which is conducive to adult fish spawning but not to juvenile fish growth. The changes in physical habitat structure over a short time period caused by dam removal have different effects on different fish development periods, which are not all positive. The restoration of stream continuity increases adult fish spawning potential while limiting juvenile growth. Thus, although fish can spawn successfully, self-recruitment of fish stocks can still be affected if juvenile fish do not grow successfully. This study provides a research basis for habitat assessment after dam removal and a new perspective for the subsequent adaptive management strategy of the project.

Borehole heat exchangers (BHEs) are widely used with ground source heat pump (GSHP) system for utilization of shallow geothermal energy. In this paper, heat transfer between a single BHE and the surrounding soil is investigated, in which convection at ground surface and advection of vertical water flow are considered in heat conduction process. The length of the borehole is much greater than its diameter, hence it is treated as a line source, and then an improved finite line source model is developed to describe the heat transfer process. The governing equations of the model are presented, and an analytical solution is established by introducing a new variable and using the Green’s function method. The analytical solution is compared with a numerical solution to confirm the derivation and programming process, and then computational examples of the analytical solution are presented. The effect of vertical water flow on the temperature response of the ground outside the borehole is demonstrated; the line source model under a convective boundary condition is compared with that under a prescribed surface temperature to show the error caused by neglecting the surface convection effect; the mean borehole wall temperature and the total heat flux at ground surface are computed, and their responses to variations of external factors are analyzed.

miR21-mediated activation of TLR8 controls neuropathic pain., TLRs have been well characterized in the context of immunity, although TLR8 is understudied due to its controversial function in mice. In this issue of JEM, the new work by Zhang et al. (https://doi.org/10.1084/jem.20180800) demonstrates that TLR8 activated by miR-21 controls neuropathic pain using a non-MyD88–dependent pathway.

Aiming at the difficult problem of Smoggy forecast, this paper puts forward a model which is based on support vector regression (SVR) method, and the GA method to optimal parameters is used. Factor analysis is used to reduce eigenvector dimension. Optimal parameters of SVR is find by the cross validation. GA method with optimal parameters is put into the SVR model to the predict PM2.5 of Baoding city. The prediction result and the actual are compared to select PM2.5 forecasting model.

A miniaturized varactor-tuned microstrip bandpass filter (BPF) based on an improved ring resonator is presented in this paper. The proposed BPF is comprised of a ring as 1/2 λ resonator with two varactors in the middle section and a coupling scheme. The variation of coupling coefficient can be controlled by using a capacitor. The center frequency of the lower passband can be tuned from 3.2 to 3.9 GHz, while the center frequency of the upper passband is at 4.9 GHz and it is fixed during the process. Theoretical analysis and design approach are demonstrated. Finally, the predicted results are compared with measured data and good agreement is reported.

In this paper, a compact tunable dual-stop-band fllter is proposed. The proposed fllter is based on the combination of double H-shaped defected ground structure (HDGS) and E-shaped defected microstrip structure (EDMS). The loaded HDGS/EDMS varactor diode is introduced to realize the tunable dual-stop-band fllter. The equivalent-circuit models and theoretical analysis of the proposed structure are presented; also its performance evaluation is compared with traditional structure. The proposed fllter has the characteristic of two independently adjustable stopbands and wide tuning range. EDMS also shows size reduction up to 38% compared with the T- shaped defected microstrip structure. The measured performance of the tunable dual-stop-band fllter agrees well with the simulation results.

A novel compact microstrip-fed planar monopole antenna with quad-notched bands is presented. The proposed antenna is based on one rectangular-stepped-patch. To achieve the higher resonance over the 12GHz, one lateral L-shaped structure is embedded in the ground. By inserting four U-shaped slots in the radiation patch, quad band-notched properties in the WiMAX (3.3{3.6GHz), INSAT (4.5{4.8GHz), lower WLAN (5.15{5.35GHz) and higher WLAN (5.725{5.825GHz) are obtained. Experimental results indicate that the designed UWB antenna can obtain broadband matched impedance values, good frequency selectivity over the notched bands, relatively ∞at group delay and nearly omni-directional transmission characteristics across the UWB frequencies. More importantly, the quad-notched bands can be reconflgurable by shorting the corresponding U-shaped slots.

In this paper, a modified macroscopic traffic flow model is presented. The term of the density-dependent relaxation time is introduced here. The relation between the relaxation time and the density in traffic flow is presented quantitatively. Besides, a factor R depicting varied properties of traffic flow in different traffic states is also introduced in the formulation of the model. Furthermore, the evolvement law of traffic flow with distinctly initial density distribution and boundary perturbations is emphasized.
