Abstract

A new nitridolithosilicate La4Ba3Li3Si9N19 was synthesized by the flux method. The La4Ba3Li3Si9N19:Pr3+ phosphor shows a narrow-band red emission peaking at 640 nm with an fwhm of 50 nm when excited under near-UV light.

Abstract

We report a novel narrow-band blue emitting phosphor Sr7.92Mg7Si9N22:0.08Eu2+. The crystal structure of Sr8Mg7Si9N22 is composed of corner-sharing and edge-sharing [SiN4] tetrahedra and distorted square-pyramid [MgN5] polyhedra. Under 350 nm excitation, Eu2+ doped Sr8Mg7Si9N22 emits narrow-band blue light with maximum intensity at 450 nm and a fwhm of 38 nm.

Abstract

Flux synthesis is an effective method to discover large crystals of new compounds. In this paper, a solid-state reaction in Li flux produced a new nitridolithosilicate La4Ba3Li3Si9N19 in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm (No. 63) with lattice parameters of a = 9.7263(1), b = 18.2746(2), c = 11.2929(1) Å, and Z = 4. The La4Ba3Li3Si9N19 exhibits a 3-D framework based on triangular clusters (3-rings) formed by vertex-sharing SiN4 tetrahedra. The rare earth Pr3+-doped La4Ba3Li3Si9N19 emits a narrow-band red emission peaking at approximately 640 nm with a full width at half-maximum of 50 nm when excited under ultraviolet light. Abstract

The effects of Ta content on the phase transitional behavior, Raman spectrum, microstructure and dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties of the lead-free [[([K.sub.0.458][Na.sub.0.542]).sub.0.96][Li.sub.0.04]]Nb[O.sub.3] ceramics are examined. The X-ray diffraction results have shown that the phase structure has undergone a transition from orthorhombic to tetragonal phase.

C17H16N5O5Zn, monoclinic, C12/c 1( no. 15), a =2 3.87(1) A, b =9 .887(4) A, c =1 8.929(9) A, * =1 26.840(5)°, V =3 575.3 A 3 , Z =8 , Rgt(F) =0 .046, wRref(F 2 ) =0 .152, T =2 98 K. Source of material The title complex was obtained from the mixture of Zn(NO3)2 · 6H2 O( 0.075 g, 0.25 mmol), 5-methyl-2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid (2mpac, 0.067 g, 0.5 mmol), 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy, 0.071 g, 0.5 mmol) and distilled water (8 mL), which was placed in aT eflon-lined stainless steel Parr bomb at 393 Kf or three days. After slowly cooling to room temperature, colorless single crystals were obtained (yield 39 %).
