Currently, colorectal cancer has the third highest incidence worldwide. As its incidence is increasing, focus on quality of life after laparoscopic radical resection for colorectal cancer has also increased. This study aimed to compare the effects of retention or resection of the Denonvilliers'fascia on urinary and sexual functions in men who underwent laparoscopic radical resection for rectal cancer. Relevant national and international literature databases, including China Knowledge Network, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Excerpta Medica Database, were searched according to the established retrieval scheme. Review Manager 5.3 was used to analyze data, and the correct effect model was selected based on heterogeneity. In total, 22 studies involving 2255 patients were included in the meta-analysis. The studies were categorized into the experimental and control groups. The incidence of urinary dysfunction was lower in the experimental group than in the control group at 1 and 6 months postoperatively. In terms of sexual function, the experimental group had lower rates of erectile and ejaculatory dysfunctions than the control group at 1, 3, and 6 months and 1 year postoperatively. However, the experimental group had a longer operation time than the control group. No significant differences in incidence of postoperative complications, intra-operative blood loss, and number of lymph nodes dissections were observed between the two groups. Overall, laparoscopic radical resection for rectal cancer with preservation of the Denonvilliers' fascia has been proven effective in improving postoperative urinary and sexual functions in men without affecting the number of lymph nodes dissected and enhancing postoperative quality of life.

This paper presents an innovative fusion model called “CALSE-LSTM,” which integrates Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Long Short-Term Memory Networks (LSTMs), self-attention mechanisms, and squeeze-and-excitation attention mechanisms to optimize the estimation accuracy of the State of Charge (SoC). The model incorporates battery historical data as input and employs a dual-attention mechanism based on CNN-LSTM to extract diverse features from the input data, thereby enhancing the model's ability to learn hidden information. To further improve model performance, we fine-tune the model parameters using the Pelican algorithm. Experiments conducted under Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) conditions show that the CALSE-LSTM model achieves a Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of only 1.73 % in lithium battery SoC estimation, significantly better than GRU, LSTM, and CNN-LSTM models, reducing errors by 31.9 %, 31.3 %, and 15 %, respectively. Ablation experiments further confirm the effectiveness of the dual-attention mechanism and its potential to improve SoC estimation performance. Additionally, we validate the learning efficiency of CALSE-LSTM by comparing model training time with the number of iterations. Finally, in the comparative experiment with the Kalman filtering method, the model in this paper significantly improved its performance by incorporating power consumption as an additional feature input. This further verifies the accuracy of CALSE-LSTM in estimating the State of Charge (SoC) of lithium batteries.

Currently, the increasing numbers of one anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB) brought this technique in the third position in order of frequency, behind sleeve gastrectomy (SG) and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). However, OAGB is still considered lack of evidence in reducing obesity- related comorbidities. Our study aimed to compare the efficacy for SG and OAGB improving type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remission and weight loss in obese patients.PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing OAGB and SG. Review Manager 5.4.1 was used to analyze the data, and the right effect model was chosen based on heterogeneity.Five randomized controlled trials were included in the study. The remission of T2DM in the OAGB group was more efficient at 1 year and 5 years. Meanwhile, the OAGB group has a greater improvement than the SG group in terms of hypertension (HTN) and fasting plasma glucose (FPG). Although the percentage of excess BMI loss (%EBMIL) between the OAGB and SG groups was not significant at 6 months, the OAGB group had a conspicuous %EBMIL at 1 year. And 5 years after surgery, a higher percentage of excess weight loss (%EWL) was found in the OAGB group. Besides, the OAGB group showed a lower body mass index (BMI) at 5 years than the SG group, but the BMI at 6 months and 1 year were not significant. Finally, at 6 months, the OAGB group exhibited a more remarkable percentage of total weight loss (%TWL) than the SG group.In general, OAGB exhibited a better therapeutic effect in T2DM, HTN, and weight loss than SG in the medium-term follow-up period. To assess the long-term efficacy, clinics should be encouraged to continue longer-term follow-up studies and possibly RCTs.

For achieving higher energy transferring efficiency from the resources to the load, the Combined Cooling, Heating, and Power (CCHP) systems have been widely researched and applied as an efficient approach. The key idea of this study is designing a novel structure of a hybrid CCHP system and evaluating its performance. In this research, there is a hybrid energy storage unit enhancing the whole system’s operation flexibility while supplying cooling, heating, and power. An ORC system is integrated into the CCHP system which takes responsibility of absorbing the low-temperature heat source for electricity generation. There are a few research studies focusing on the CCHP systems’ performance with this structure. In order to evaluate the integrated system’s performance, investigation and optimisation work has been conducted with the approaches of experimental studies and modelling simulation. The integrated system’s configuration, the model building process of several key components, the optimisation method, and the case studies are discussed and analysed in this study. The design of the integrated system and the control strategy are displayed in detail. Several sets of dynamic energy demand profiles are selected to evaluate the performance of the integrated system. The simulation study of the system supplying selected scenarios of loads is conducted. A comprehensive evaluation report indicates that the system’s efficiency during each study process differs while supplying different loads. The results include the power supplied by each component, the energy consumed by each type of load, and the efficiency improvements. It is found that the integrated system fully satisfies the selected domestic loads and various selected scenarios of loads with high efficiency. Compared to conventional power plants or CHP systems, the system efficiency enhancement comes from higher amount of recovery waste heat. Especially, the ORC system can absorb the low-temperature heat source for electricity generation. Compared to the original following electrical load (FEL) control strategy, the optimisation process brings overall efficiency improvements. The system’s overall efficiency was increased by from 3%, 3.18%, 2.85%, 17.11%, 8.89%, and 21.7% in the second case studies. Through the whole study, the main challenge lies within the design and the energy management of the integrated system.

The mobile terminals must be compensated for the Doppler effect in their moving communication. This special characteristic of mobile communication can be developed in some new applications. This paper proposes methods to realize mobile navigation calculation via Doppler shifts. It gives the theory of relationship between the motion parameters, like directions and speed, and frequency shifts caused by multibase stations. The simulation illustrates how to compute the movement parameters of numerical calculation and what should be care for the problem near angle 90 degree. It also gives an application with Google map and dynamical locating position and direction on a mobile phone by public wireless network. Given the simulation analysis and navigation test, the results show that this method has a good effect.

The DC bus voltage stability control is one key technology to ensure that Active Power Filter (APF) operates stably. The external disturbances such as power grid and load fluctuation and the system parameters changing may affect the stability of APF DC bus voltage and the normal operation of APF. The mathematical model of DC bus voltage is established according to power balance principle and a DC bus voltage piecewise reaching law variable structure control algorithm is proposed to solve the above problem, and the design method is given. The simulation and experiment results proved that the proposed variable structure control algorithm can eliminate the chattering problem existing in traditional variable structure control effectively, is insensitive to system disturbance, and has good robustness and fast dynamic response speed and stable DC bus voltage with small fluctuation. The above advantages ensure the compensation effect of APF.

A new method of transformer fault diagnosis based on relevance vectormachine (RVM) is proposed. Bayesian estimation is applied to support vector machine (SVM) in the novel algorithm, which made fault diagnosis system work more effectively. In the paper, the analysis model is presented that the solutions of RVM have the feature of sparsity and RVM can obtain global solutions under finite samples. The process of transformer fault diagnosis for four working statuses is given in experiments and simulations. The results validated that this method has obvious advantages of diagnosis time and accuracy compared with backpropagation (BP) neural networks and general SVM methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As one of the main power devices of active power filter (APF), iron core reactor DC magnetic bias would affect the performance of APF. Based on the study of DC magnetic bias mechanism of APF iron core reactor, the data model was established in this paper. The performance of APF device impacted by iron core reactor DC magnetic bias was analysed through the simulation in different DC current conditions, and optimization scheme was proposed to reduce DC magnetic bias to improve working performance of APF. To reduce DC magnetic bias, main circuit parameters and control characteristics were uniform, and reluctance of iron core was increased. Results of the simulations and experiments validated that the improved method could restrain reactor DC magnetic bias to reduce even harmonic current in APF output current, which could greatly optimize APF performance.
