The use of team management to enhance organizational performance in the Bahrain government sector has become a serious situation for the government in the Kingdom of Bahrain. However, in spite of the increasing number of studies relating to team management in developed countries, few studies have been made in the same context within gulf countries. The aim of this study is to determine how the factors of team management can affect the performance of government organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The study adopted a quantitative method approach for the purpose of the study. The sample size of the study is selected from Bahrain government sector organizations, data were collected from 150 respondents, and the sample was selected based of those who were working for the government and semi-government organizations from the employees who are representing the basics of the organization to the managers who are the responsible persons of team’s formation. The generated data from the government and semi-government organizations were analyzed using many statistical tools, we used the Correlation analysis to test the relationship between our variables and Linear Regression was to test the hypothesis of the study. The results showed that only team decision has a significant positive influence on organizational performance in Bahrain government sector. However, the study result showed that there is no influence on organizational performance in the Bahrain government sector from team trust, team motivation, team cohesiveness, and job satisfaction. Background: Health technology, including wearable fitness trackers, MRI equipment, and telehealth systems, improves medical treatment, accessibility, and efficiency. This systematic review explores technologies promoting health education for chronic diseases. Method: A thorough search of databases, including Scopus, PsycINFO, and Web of Science, was conducted to categorize relevant research published between 2019 and 2023. The inclusion criteria was for this, studies on health education technology in preventing chronic diseases conducted in the healthcare setting, published in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, or English-written reports. The selected studies must also offer helpful information on team dynamics and employ recognized measurement scales. Following an initial screening and quality evaluation, fifteen studies were included in the synthesis. Results: The study database was searched through electronic databases, identifying 426 records. Fifteen unique papers were assessed for eligibility based on titles and abstracts. After initial screening, 15 studies were selected for full-text assessment. After an independent review, 15 studies met the criteria and were included in the systematic review. The selected studies were conducted between 2019 and 2023 and varied in design. The PRISMA flowchart illustrates the selection process. Quality evaluation involves peer-reviewed journals, overall assessment, and quality management. The result suggested themes of health technology education for preventing various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, TB, arthritis, and neurological diseases. Conclusion: A systematic review suggests that health education technology can prevent chronic diseases like cancer, TB, arthritis, lung and neurological disorders, and lung illness. However, resource limitations and fewer neutral results may suggest bias in favour of promising technology. Healthcare technology education is recommended, with free programs for healthcare professionals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PurposeWhile the importance of leadership in various domains has been highlighted in the extant literature, effective leadership in the context of higher education sector has not been well addressed in the leadership scholarship. There is a need to address the challenge of leadership effectiveness in the education sector, including business schools, given the failures noticed in the sector attributed to poor-quality leadership. The purpose of this study was therefore to explore the factors that affected leadership in the context of higher education institutions.Design/methodology/approachThe research is exploratory in nature as the study critically reviewed extant literature surrounding leadership practices specifically from a public-sector context to identify factors affecting leadership effectiveness.FindingsThe findings of the study pointed out that, regardless of the nation or organisation, leadership effectiveness is a factor that is dependent on how well the followers have accepted the leader. This indicates that, amongst the different challenges explored in this study, leadership effectiveness is not only a challenge by itself but is also affected by other challenges, including leadership practice and style.Research limitations/implicationsThis research provides a better understanding of the critical factors affecting leadership practice of deans of business schools and how the styles’ influence on leadership practice, the relationship between leadership practice and leadership effectiveness and how leadership style translates into leadership effectiveness.Originality/valueThis research contributes to the growing body of knowledge surrounding leadership scholarship from a public-sector context about the challenges that affect leadership effectiveness in the context of HEIs and stimulates further investigation into those challenges.

- Abstract
Past research indicates the importance of assessing the role of higher education (HE) students’ Learning Readiness’s (LR’s) two-dimensions (Self-Directed Learn- ing - SDR and Motivation for Learning - MFL) on learning behaviors (Knowledge Sharing Quality -KSQ) during e-learning in developing countries. This article is a critique of a literature review led to a conceptual framework which in turn was empirically investigated (correlation analysis, using Pearson and Spearman corre- lation), with findings shedding new contributions to knowledge, and opening new avenues for the research in progress. This deductive cross-sectional research con- firms this role via an adopted survey, data-collection from 253 Ahlia University un- dergraduate students who constantly participate in e-learning practices on Moodle. Empirical analysis of this study confirmed a positively significant relation between SDL → KSQ and, MFL → KSQ. Limitations and implications are discussed in this article. The empirical findings of this article are new contributions to knowledge, which are particularly generalizable to Ahlia University’s undergraduate business students; thus a knowledge contribution with higher education private institutions in Middle Eastern developing countries, as this study occurred in the Kingdom of Bahrain (a literate driven need for such research).

This paper presents Ahlia University research skills framework that was developed and adapted to assure integration of research as a major skill as part of teaching, learning, delivery, and assessment. The paper will provide an oversight from the extensive literature review on the basis of development of the adapted framework and demonstration of number of courses with A2 integration. As a conclusion areas for further investigation were drawn in particular in the GCC context that requires attention by HEIs and researchers.

The results of regression models found significant positive impact of ESG on operational, financial and market performance. However, the relationship between performance and these disclosures is varying if measured individually; the environmental disclosure found positively affect the ROA and TQ. Whereas, the corporate social responsibility disclosure is negatively affect the three models (ROA, ROE and TQ). Last but not the least, the corporate governance disclosure found negatively affects the financial and operational performance. However, positively affect the TQ.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to describe the principal reasons why Emirate women are under‐represented in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) information technology (IT) sector; and the barriers and challenges that national women have encountered while working in this sector of the national economy.Design/methodology/approachThe paper draws on data from 20 structured in‐depth interviews conducted with Emirate women who had worked for a minimum of five years in IT.FindingsAlthough national women have made remarkable inroads into almost all professions and occupations in recent years, they are still noticeably under‐represented in IT, particularly in the private sector. In addition, very few are in senior‐level positions and there are, at the time of writing, no Emirate women technology‐entrepreneurs. The results show that cultural and familial factors still inhibit many young Emirate women from choosing careers in this profession, and negative gendered attitudinal assumptions about women are still prevalent within the local IT sector.Research limitations/implicationsThe sample size was small, so we were unable to test specific research hypotheses, or compare our results with quantitative cohort surveys conducted in other countries. Nevertheless, the findings warrant additional research, as increasing numbers of Emirate women graduate from local universities with IT/MIS degrees, and further research on this topic is described.Practical implicationsFive practical strategies are identified to encourage more young Emirate women to embrace IT careers in the future.Originality/valueThis is the first research on this issue conducted in the UAE/GCC region.
