Studien Kvinnor i karriären i Kriminalvården har sin utgångspunkt i begreppet jämställdhet. Svenska Kriminalvården är en statlig myndighet och måste, precis som alla som verkar inom svensk arbetsmarknad, se till att lagar och regler efterföljs. De närmaste åren behöver Kriminalvården expandera för att möta samhällets behov och krav, vilket kräver ytterligare rekrytering till alla befattningar inom Kriminalvården behövs. Kriminalvården vill fortsätta sträva mot jämställdhet och attrahera kvinnor till de historiskt sett mansdominerade arbetsrollerna. Enligt Kriminalvårdens årsredovisning från 2021 ses att än idag återfinns kvinnor främst i de omhändertagande professionerna, vilka skulle kunna betraktas som traditionellt könsstereotypiskt kvinnliga roller. Kvinnor återfinns vanligtvis inom de lägre arbetspositionerna där de även tenderar att bli kvar. Studiens syfte är att studera skillnader mellan mäns och kvinnors intresse och vilja till avancemang inom en av Kriminalvårdens klass 1-anstalter och därigenom bidra med kunskap till eventuella orsaker. För att studiens syfte ska uppnås har en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ metod använts, där sex intervjupersoner låtits delge information och ytterligare 27 respondenter besvarat en enkät. Intervjupersonerna befinner sig i arbetsledande positioner och respondenterna arbetar inom anstaltens största yrkesgrupp- kriminalvårdare. Studien påvisar att där inte finns några tydliga skillnader mellan mäns och kvinnors vilja till att avancera till högre arbetsledande positioner. Den väsentliga skillnaden ligger i att mäns och kvinnors sätt att visa intresse till avancemang skiljer sig åt. Det framkommer att fenomenet att män och kvinnor visar olika intresse till att avancera beror på samhällelig nivå med normer och värderingar som grundar sig i genus, snarare än på en organisationsnivå. Även om Kriminalvården eftersträvar jämställdhet spelar samhällets attityder och beteenden en avgörande roll där det formella ansvaret på arbetsplatsen ser lika ut oavsett kön. Det har under studiens gång dock visat sig att det informella ansvaret kan vara minst lika omfattande som det formella, där kvinnor både bär och tar på sig det största ansvaret. The study Women’s career in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service is based on the notion of gender equality. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is a government agency and must, just like everyone who operates in the Swedish labor market, ensure that laws and regulations are followed. In the next few years, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service needs to expand to meet society's needs and demands, which requires further recruitment for all positions within the agency. The agency wants to continue to strive towards gender equality and attract women to the historically male-dominated work roles. According to the Prison Service's annual report from 2021, it can be seen that even today women are found mainly in the caring professions, which could be considered traditionally gender-stereotypically female roles. Women are usually found in the lower working positions where they also tend to stay. The purpose of the study is to study differences between men's and women's interest and desire for advancement within one of the agency’s class 1 prisons, and thereby contribute with knowledge to possible causes. In order to reach the purpose of the study, a qualitative and quantitative method have been used, where six interviewees were providing information and further 27 respondents answered a questionnaire. The interviewees are in managerial positions and the respondents work within the institution's largest occupational group - prison officers. The study shows that there are no clear differences between men's and women's willingness to advance to higher managerial positions. The essential difference lies in the fact that the way men and women show interest in advancement differs. It appears that the phenomenon that men and women show different interest in advancing is due to a societal level with norms and values based on gender, rather than an organizational level. Although the Swedish Prison and Probation Service strives for gender equality, it is the existence of attitudes and behaviors of the society that play a decisive role where formal responsibility within organizations are the same regardless of gender. During the work of this study, it has, however, been shown that the informal responsibility can be at least as extensive as the formal one, where women both bear and take the greatest responsibility.

Research suggests that the coronavirus pandemic disproportionately affected poor communities. However, relatively little is known about how this differential impact affected support for, and compliance with, COVID-19 lockdown policies. This article examines the relationship between socioeconomic inequalities and public opinion towards COVID-19 containment measures in Peru. Despite the strict quarantine measures adopted by the government of Peru, the country struggled to contain the spread of the disease. We designed and implemented a nationally representative survey in Peru and found that economically vulnerable sectors are more likely to oppose the quarantine and are more likely to defy the stay-at-home recommendations to leave home and go to work. Our contribution highlights that poor citizens’ housing and economic conditions can explain why the poor are more likely to react negatively to COVID-19 lockdown policies.

Dissertação de Mestrado apresentada no ISPA – Instituto Universitário para obtenção de grau de Mestre na especialidade de Psicologia Social e das Organizações Mandar a beata para o chão é um comportamento social que se verifica em vários países, incluindo Portugal, e vários são os danos provocados por este comportamento, nomeadamente sujidade dos espaços exteriores e diversas implicações ambientais. Diversas medidas têm sido postas em prática para diminuir este comportamento: legislação, campanhas publicitárias, etc. Porém, as beatas de tabaco são ainda uma problemática atual, desta forma mostra-se pertinente estudar este comportamento com maior profundidade a fim de obter novo conhecimento passível de ser aplicado na intervenção desta problemática. A mudança de comportamento trata-se de um desafio complexo para a psicologia social, contudo o recurso a modelos teóricos tem mostrado pertinência e resultados. Nomeadamente a Teoria do Comportamento Planeado tem sido amplamente utilizada para compreender e prever comportamentos. Assim, este estudo propõe-se a prever e compreender o comportamento de mandar a beata para chão à luz da teoria do comportamento planeado, por via da intenção de comportamento constituída por três dimensões: atitude, normas subjetivas e perceção de controlo. The cigarette butt disposal it is a social behaviour seen in many countries, including Portugal, and there are many consequences resulting from that, as uncleanness of the places and numerous environment implications. Several measures have been taken to decrease this behavior: laws, advertising campaigns, etc. Despite that, the cigarette butts are still a nowadays problem. However, the cigarette buts disposal is still an issue, as so, study this behavior in more detail reveals to be relevant to obtain more knowledge valuable in intervention in this situation. Changing behaviours is a hudge challenge in social psychology, nevertheless theoretical frameworks application had shown results. Particularly, the Planned Behaviour Theory have been widely applied to understand and predict behaviours. Thereby, this study intends to understand and predict the cigarette butts disposal on the floor applying the Planed Behaviour Theory, thru behaviour intentions that is composed by those three dimensions: attitudes, subjective norms and perceived control. In this research, the model did not predict the disposal behavior of the cigarette butts, once that only perceived control dimension showed significance in all participants and specifically in smokers.

Attitudes towards geographic information technology is a seldom explored research area that can be explained with reference to established theories of attribution. This article reports on a study of how the attribution of success and failure in pedestrian navigation varies with level of automation, degree of success and locus of control. A total of 113 participants took part in a survey exploring reflections on personal experiences and vignettes describing fictional navigation experiences. A complex relationship was discovered in which success tends to be attributed to skill and failure to the navigation aid when participants describe their own experiences. A reversed pattern of results was found when discussing the navigation of others. It was also found that navigation success and failure are associated with personal skill to a greater extent when using paper maps, as compared with web-based routing engines or satellite navigation systems. Practitioner Summary: This article explores the influences on the attribution of success and failure when using navigation aids. A survey was performed exploring interpretations of navigation experiences. Level of success, self or other as navigator and type of navigation aid used are all found to influence the attribution of outcomes to internal or external factors.

The purpose of this study is to determine the undergraduate tourism students' attitudes and behaviours towards the environmentally friendly products. For this purpose, a questionnaire was conducted to undergraduate students at Balıkesir University, Faculty of Tourism in Balıkesir, Turkey. The frequency and percentage analysis were utilized for the interpretation of data on demographic variables. In order to determine the dimension of the students' attitudes and behaviours towards environmentally friendly products, the statements were subjected to factor analysis. Mann-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to determine whether the dimensions obtained from factor analysis differ with its demographic characteristics. The regression analysis was conducted to measure the relationship between variables. According to the results of the study, the attitudes and behaviours of undergraduate tourism students towards environmentally friendly products was found to be at positive level. According to the results of the factor analysis for the attitudes and behaviours of the students participating in the study towards environmentally friendly products, four dimensions were yielded: environmental interest and behaviour of environmentally friendly products, environmental awareness, the image of environmentally friendly products and satisfaction including the perception of environment-friendly products. In these dimensions, the significant differences were found in terms of variables for the students' gender, department, willingness for the preference to the department and purchasing environmentally friendly products. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the most important dimensions that affect the behaviour of the students' environmental interest and purchasing the environmentally friendly products are the environmental awareness and eco-friendly product image and satisfaction. ÖzetBu çalışmanın amacı lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin çevre dostu ürünlere ilişkin tutum ve davranışlarının belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Balıkesir Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi (BTİOYO) öğrencilerine anket uygulanmıştır. Demografik değişkenlere ilişkin verilerin yorumlanmasında frekans ve yüzde analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin çevre dostu ürünlere ilişkin tutum ve davranışlarının hangi boyutlardan oluştuğunu belirleyebilmek amacı ile ifadeler faktör analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Faktör analizinden elde edilen boyutların demografik özellikleri itibari ile farklılık gösterip göstermediğini belirlemek amacı ile Mann Whitney U-Testi ve Kruskal Wallis Testi uygulanmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri ölçmek için regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre turizm öğrencilerinin çevre dostu ürünlere ilişkin tutum ve davranışlarının olumlu düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin çevre dostu ürünlere ilişkin tutum ve davranışlarının faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre çevre ilgisi ve çevre dostu ürün davranışı, çevre duyarlılığı, çevre dostu ürün imajı ve memnuniyet, çevre dostu ürün algısı olmak üzere dört boyut elde edilmiştir. Bu boyutlarda öğrencilerin cinsiyet, okudukları bölüm, okudukları bölümü isteyerek tercih etme, çevre dostu ürün satın alma değişkenleri açısından anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda, öğrencilerin çevre ilgisi ve çevre dostu ürün satın alma davranışını etkileyen en önemli boyutların çevre duyarlılığı ve çevre dostu ürün imajı ve memnuniyet boyutları olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The paper uses structural equation modelling applied to survey data to test determinants’ influence on UK cattle farmers’ intentions towards Escherichia coli O157 control. Results suggest that farmers more likely to be willing to control Escherichia coli O157 are those who think that farmers are most responsible for controlling disease; whose income depends more on opening farms to public; with stronger disease control attitudes; who were affected by outbreaks; with better knowledge and more frequent information access; with stronger perceptions towards practicality of biosecurity measures; who use health plans; who think farmers are main beneficiaries of controlling disease; whose farm is dairy rather than beef.

Despite the claim that plurality - be it religious, cultural, moral, or other - is important to the way in which schools achieve socialisation, there are few empirically validated data concerning the effects of a school system organised around plurality. This contribution explores the influence of faith-based schools on outcomes of schooling outside the traditional core curriculum, using data from the religiously segmented school system in The Netherlands. Based on an overview of earlier studies and an exploratory descriptive and multi-level analyses of data from 7600 pupils in secondary schools, the authors conclude that 1) the empirical basis for drawing valid conclusions about the effects of faith-based schools on outcomes outside the core curriculum is not very solid as yet, and 2) although some effects do seem to exist, the indicators used in this study provide little reason to expect substantial and systematic differences between schools.

International audience; We investigate the European food market in two selected European countries, Great Britain and Denmark, identifying main differences and similarities. We focus particularly on consumer perceptions and priorities, labelling schemes, and sales channels as a basis for assessing market stability and prospects for future growth. We employ a unique set of household panel data that includes information on stated values and concerns as well as registered purchasing behaviour. Most organic food on both markets is produced and processed by large-scale industrialised units and distributed through mainstream sales channels, consumer confidence being sustained at present by organic labelling schemes that appear to function well. However, a parallel market, based on the supply of goods through various direct sales channels to heavy users, prevails. We find that organic food purchase decisions are primarily motivated by 'private goods' attributes such as freshness, taste and health benefits, attributes that may be perceived as being compatible with modern production and sales structure. Mature markets for organic foods nevertheless appear to be vulnerable to consumer dissatisfaction, particularly among heavy users of organic food products.

Los inmigrantes marroquíes, en realidad, ¿son tantos? o, ¿es más un problema de actitud y comportamiento? Este artículo intenta dar respuesta a esta doble pregunta, en primer lugar, intentando conocer cuántos y de qué nacionalidad son, para enfrentarnos de esta manera a una “guerra” de cifras; en segundo lugar, vamos a concretar la imagen y percepción que tienen los jóvenes (de 14 a 25 años) de Granada frente a estos inmigrantes marroquíes; para ello, nos vamos a apoyar en los resultados de la encuesta realizada dentro del Proyecto: Ciudades contra el racismo. Granada, ciudad integradora, subvencionado por la Comisión Europea., Are there really so many Moroccan immigrants or is it more a question of attitude and behaviour? This paper is an attempt to answer both questions. Firstly, to try to establish how many they are and their nationality, in which a conflict arises concerning their numbers. Secondly, we shall attempt to explain the attitude and opinion of the young people in Granada (between the ages of 14 to 25) in the face of these Moroccan immigrants. In order to do so, we shall refer to the results of the survey carried out within the Project, Cities against racism, “Granada, an integrating city”, subsidised by the European Commission., Les immigrants marocains, en réalité, sont-ils aussi nombreux?
