The article is devoted to enterosorbents — one of the most widely used groups of drugs in pediatric practice. Under consideration are the mechanisms of medical action of these drugs and their classification. The article shows that the principal characteristics of enterosorbents are the values of sorption capacity and their active surface. Following the evidence-based medicine data, the authors put emphasis on the natural and safe composition of drugs and also recommend the prescription of enterosorption therapy in whole and various drugs of the group in particular in order to prevent the digestive system diseases and metabolic disorders.
