International trade is a critical part of the United States economy. Land border crossings between the United States and Mexico accounts for a large proportion of the USD 779 billion in trade between these two countries. Monitoring and managing the operations of these land border crossings is critical for ensuring efficient trade and providing appropriate security. This paper examines the opportunity to use connected vehicle data to monitor the travel time delay of passenger vehicles crossing the border for system level assessment across 26 border crossing locations over an analysis period of 25 days in August 2020. A sample size of 51,341 trips from the US to Mexico and 41,708 trips from Mexico to the US were used in this study. Furthermore, 97% trips to the US and 76% trips to Mexico experienced delays. The average delay was 34 min for trips to the US compared to only 2 min for trips to Mexico. In terms of the predictability of border crossing times, there was also substantial variation by direction. The interquartile range of vehicle delay from the US to Mexico was 2 min, while the interquartile range of delay for vehicles travelling from Mexico to the US was 46 min. Border crossings were also ranked using four performance metrics—trip counts, median delay, delayed trip counts and total delays in vehicle hours. Methods for summarizing delay trends by time of the day and day of the week to identify time windows of interest are also presented. Land border crossing operations have a significant influence on security and economic efficiency. We believe the techniques presented in this paper provide a scalable methodology for providing near real-time factual data on border crossing delays that provide important information for land border transport-managing stakeholders to make informed management decisions that balance security and economic efficiency. Abstract Background The US-Mexico border is the busiest in the world, with millions of people crossing it daily. However, little is known about cross-border utilization of cancer care, or about the reasons driving it. We designed a cross sectional online survey to understand the type of care patients with cancer who live in the US and Mexico seek outside their home country, the reasons why patients traveled across the border to receive care, and the barriers faced when seeking cross-border care. Results The online survey was sent to the 248 cancer care providers working in the six Mexican border states who were registered members of the Mexican Society of Oncology. Responses were collected between September-November 2022. Sixty-six providers (response rate 26%) completed the survey. Fifty-nine (89%) reported interacting with US-based patients traveling to Mexico to receive various treatment modalities, with curative surgery (n = 38) and adjuvant chemotherapy (n = 31) being the most common. Forty-nine (74%) reported interacting with Mexico-based patients traveling to the US to receive various treatment modalities, with immunotherapy (n = 29) and curative surgery (n = 27) being the most common. The most frequently reported reason US-based patients sought care in Mexico was inadequate health insurance (n = 45). The most frequently reported reason Mexico-based patients sought care in the US was patients’ perception of superior healthcare (n = 38). Conclusions Most Mexican oncologists working along the Mexico-US border have interacted with patients seeking or receiving binational cancer care. The type of care sought, as well as the reasons for seeking it, differ between US and Mexico-based patients. These patterns of cross-border healthcare utilization highlight unmet needs for patients with cancer in both countries and call for policy changes to improve outcomes in border regions.

This paper argues that to understand the impact of former U.S. President Donald Trump on the U.S.-Mexico border, his presidential agenda needs to be compared with other presidential administrations from the 1990s to the present. It looks at presidential policy agendas, as seen in executive orders, legislative policies, binational initiatives, deployment of the National Guard and military, presidential visits, and use of the bully pulpit with visits to the border region. These are compared to border operations indicators, highlighting formal and informal crossings of people and movement of goods. Though Mr. Trump has been specifically negative and aggressive toward the border, the securitization of the region has been part of presidential agendas since the 1990s. A key takeaway is to think about and discuss these results to ensure the border is livable, manageable and ready for the challenges of the 21st century. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BORDER crossing ,GENDER inequality - Abstract
This study aims to analyze Reyna Grande's A Dream Called Home (2018), through the lens of crossing borders in search of home and belonging. The memoir exemplifies Patricia Hill Collins's intersectional approach, which, according to the authors of The Matrix Reader: Examining the Dynamics of Oppression and Privilege, "examines how race, gender, and other systems of inequality interact and intersect within a matrix of oppression and privilege" (xi). Thus, Grande's work will be examined using the intersectional approach, along with the concepts of trauma, insidious trauma, hostipitality, and Leo R. Chavez's "Latino Threat Narrative" to analyze representations of multiple border crossings and their effects on the main character. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study examines the evolution of Ukrainian refugees during the first year after the start of the full-scale armed conflict on 24 February 2022, which resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis and high levels of migration both within Ukraine and towards Europe. Using official statistics, the changes in border crossings from Ukraine to neighboring countries during the first year of the conflict are investigated. Additionally, surveys conducted with Ukrainian refugees in several European countries and author interviews conducted in Bulgaria, Spain, and Germany reveal the specific needs of refugees and the main challenges to successful integration into host labor markets and societies. The Temporary Protection Directives and other local protection programs are analyzed in this study, accompanied by a comprehensive discussion on similar initiatives. The primary conclusion drawn from this research affirms the presence of substantial challenges in the successful integration of Ukrainian refugees into host societies, despite the efforts made by the respective governments. The article identifies the priority approaches to the technical and technological modernization of the main modes of transport of Ukraine and allied countries to ensure high-quality transportation of various goods, especially military goods, in the conditions of hostilities and during the period of economic recovery. The author proposes an algorithm for the formation of logistics chains for the delivery of military cargoes according to two schemes (from the United States and Western Europe). The necessity of creating a unified transport system, addressing the issue of further proportional development of the unified transport system and each of its components (modes of transport, structural units) is described. The main aspects that will affect the prospects for the development of a unified transport system are identified. The main tasks of the transport system that need to be solved to meet the needs of the state economy and the population in transportation are described. It is determined that when establishing the priority and order of restoration of the economic and social sectors destroyed by the war, it is necessary, first of all, to direct all resources (financial and material) to the restoration and development of transport, primarily rail and air transport. This is the only approach to solving the complex problem of improving the quality of transport. The complexity of its solution lies in ensuring, taking into account the actual volumes of transportation, the proportional development of each element of the transport modes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Legal status is an important social determinant of health. Immigration enforcement policies may be an important contributor to health disparities in the form of interior border checkpoints (IBCs). These checkpoints may prevent immigrants and their families from seeking needed medical care. Currently, we do not know how these barriers are perceived by the public. We administered a survey of 6,178 respondents from 13 November to 19 November of 2023 that contained a survey experiment to assess public attitudes on the issue. Respondents were generally not supportive of detaining individuals at IBCs or medical facilities for emergencies regardless of characteristics of the care-seeking individual. A majority was supportive of detention when medical treatment was complete. Respondents were generally more sympathetic towards children and pregnant women. Partisanship and sympathy expressed towards immigrants influenced attitudes towards detention. Findings based on race and ethnicity showed inconsistencies. A majority of Americans did not believe that IBCs should impede undocumented immigrants from accessing medical care, especially in emergency situations and for children and pregnant women. Our findings indicate that there is broad public support for expanding existing policies to allow for undocumented individuals to pass through IBCs to access medical care.

18. RESEARCH ON LOGISTIC COSTS IN TRANSPORTATION OF AGRICULTURAL CARGO BY ROAD AND RAIL TRANSPORT MODES
- Abstract
Goal. Starting with the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, the aggressor country began to make it difficult to access major ports in southern Ukraine, limiting the importation, transportation, and export of grain. This forced shippers to look for alternative routes for transporting grain to foreign seaports. A large share of the transportation of grain cargo fell on railway transport and on western terminals, which caused long queues at crossing points. Restrictions also affected the capacity of internal railway lines. To restore the transportation of agricultural goods and increase the efficiency of the organization of grain transportation, it is necessary to conduct a study of the logistics costs of road and rail transportation, considering such factors as the type of shipment, the volume of cargo, time costs, the cost of transportation, and the capacity of border crossings and terminals. Method. The research was carried out based on statistical analysis, methods of operational work for calculating the norms of mass and length of route trains, a comprehensive analysis of logistics costs when transporting various types of shipments by rail and road modes of transport, considering the technical equipment of terminals and the capacity of crossing points, the train formation plan (TFP). The results. Based on calculations, the conditional lengths of route trains are determined, with their further bringing them to the current PFP on the railways of Ukraine; the cost of delivery of grain cargoes when transported by rail was calculated for various types of shipments, and a comparison was made with road transport; terms of cargo delivery, main advantages and disadvantages of each type of transportation are determined; analysed and selected the best method of transportation of agricultural cargo, taking into account the weight of the cargo being transported, the time spent on transportation along the tracking routes; a comparison of financial costs per ton of cargo w

This study aimed to investigate the impact of people's sentiments toward border crossings on personal vehicle and pedestrian crossings along the US–Mexico border. This study focused on regional factors and employed data derived from Google Trends as a proxy for people's sentiments. Monthly data from the first quarter of 2004 to February 2020 were used. Different regression models were used to address stationarity. After controlling for economic conditions and external events, the primary findings are as follows: first, pedestrian and personal vehicle crossings are sensitive to exchange rate fluctuations. Second, the economic cycle has a slightly higher impact on pedestrians than personal vehicle crossings. Third, an increase in the hostile environment toward immigration in the U.S. may negatively impact pedestrian crossings, especially in Texas. Moreover, a rolling regression was used to examine the impact of people's sentiments on crossings over time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

City Limits Magazine discusses the contrasting immigration policies of the two main presidential candidates, former President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump's agenda focuses on mass deportations, border security, and ending birthright citizenship, while Harris supports maintaining asylum restrictions and comprehensive immigration reform. The candidates' approaches have sparked debates on xenophobia, racism, and the impact of their policies on immigrant communities. Despite their differences, both candidates aim to address border security issues, albeit through different strategies. [Extracted from the article]

Motivated by the NEXUS program between the US‐Canada border, we consider a security screening process where travelers such as cars and trucks are assigned to a selectee or nonselectee lane depending on whether their threat values exceed a threshold level. The goal is to design a two‐tier system to maximize the probability of detecting a threat subject to the waiting time and operating cost constraints. We formulate the problem as an optimization program, in which the objective function and some variables can be estimated only by simulation. We then develop algorithms to compute the global optimum, within a proposed bounding region, for the Markovian and non‐Markovian systems, respectively. The convergence analysis and extensive numerical results are provided to demonstrate the algorithms' promising performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In accordance with the von Ribbentrop-Molotovpact, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union occupied Polandin September 1939. Germany took control of the western sector and the Soviet Union the eastern sector. Families considered their options and made critical choices about staying in place or crossing the border. As entry points became more heavily guarded, movement became more difficult. At Soviet request, the Nazis opened the border for fifteen minutes on November 15, 1939. Using Yizkor (memorial) books from the author’s ancestral villages of Ostrów Mazowiecka on the Nazi side and Zaręby Kościelne on the Soviet side, this article examines the effect of the early occupation on the people living in these villages and their migrations within the larger historical context. It pays particular attention to the no-man’s land the Germans called the Judenpass, the Jewish land strip, that both safeguarded and threatened refugees and separated these two villages.

One of the main objectives of the project "Integrating multimodal connections in the Adriatic-Ionian region" (ADRIPASS) is to deal with the commonly recognized lack of efficient maritime -- hinterland connections, which are mainly caused by the existence of various bottlenecks at borders. This is achieved by identifying and analysing these -- physical and non-physical -- bottlenecks along the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T) corridor sections in the Adriatic -- Ionian (ADRION) region, with specific attention paid to those corridors that have been indicatively extended to the Western Balkans (WB) region, where the issue of border crossings is quite relevant. The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak affects the entire globe, including Europe, in many and different ways. In the fight against the spread of Covid-19, national governments of the European Union (EU) introduced temporary restrictions to border traffic of various degrees, ranging from border controls to outright closure. In this framework, ADRIPASS took duly into account the experience gained during the period of Covid-19 in the Transnational Strategy for the improvement of multimodal transport and accessibility in the ADRION region, developed as the final output of the project. The current paper presents in a summarized way the activities, results and outputs, including the defined Strategy and specific proposals related to transport facilitation for the period to follow. WHO recommends surveillance for COVID-19 among travelers at Points of Entry (POE) to countries. At 13 selected POE at the Nepal-India border, between March 2021 and July 2021, we describe the screening, testing, diagnosis and isolation practices of COVID-19 amongst travelers. Those who stayed in India or elsewhere for > one day and those who did not have a negative RT-PCR result within the last 72 h of travel were tested for COVID-19 with rapid antigen diagnostic tests. Daily surveillance reports maintained at POE were used for analysis. Of 337,338 travelers screened, 69,886 (21%) were tested and 3907 (6%) were diagnosed with COVID-19. The proportions tested averaged 15% during April-May when screened numbers were high and increased to 35% in July when screened numbers had decreased. The proportions diagnosed positive peaked at 10% in April-May, but decreased to below 1% in June and July. Testing coverage varied from 0–99% in the different POE. Most COVID-19 cases were Nepalese, male,

In this paper, we examine the permeability of the border between the Slovak Republic and Ukraine. On the basis of data from the Office of the Border and Alien Police of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic we analyse the development of legal migration of persons and transport means through the border crossings of Vyšné Nemecké – Uzhhorod and Ubľa – Malyj Bereznyj, also the border crossing for pedestrians and cyclists Veľké Slemence – Mali Slemenci during years 2013 ‒ 2017. We found that the border crossing of Vyšné Nemecké is highly dimensioned, the number of people passing the border is constantly rising, but there is a different situation in the means of transport, where we record, first, decrease and later on gradual increase of the numbers. The number of border crossings also rises at the border crossing of Ubľa, though there has been a decrease in transport vehicles after 2014, followed by an increase later on. A significant change in the increase of the number of persons legally crossing the Slovak Republic and Ukraine border occurred in 2017 in the context of the change of Ukraine's visa regime with the EU countries.

This paper discusses narratives by Ukrainian Canadian queer writer Marusya Bociurkiw, showing that culinary remembrances in her texts figure as powerful symbols of ethnicity, crossing various borders of nationality, ethnic belonging, and sexuality. Zooming in on her most recent work Food Was Her Country: The Memoir of a Queer Daughter (2018), I argue that Bociurkiw's ethnic culinary narratives can be read as queer border narratives, which engage the complex narratives of home, belonging, and crossing boundaries. Intervening in debates about displacement, diasporic identity, and national affiliation, Bociurkiw's culinary texts expose the logic of "culinary citizenship" (Mannur 2010: 20), allowing the narrator to position herself vis-à-vis her home countries via her affective encounters with food. This study focused on regional factors and employed data derived from Google Trends as a proxy for people’s sentiments. Moreover, a rolling regression was used to examine the impact of people’s sentiments on crossings over time.

33. Complex Operation of Types of Transport in the Conditions of Military International Transportation
- Abstract

ETHNIC groups , *BORDERLANDS , *KURDS , *SYRIANS , *GEOGRAPHIC boundaries , *NATION-state , *SOVEREIGNTY - Abstract
The nation-states in the Middle East emphasize the concepts of sovereignty and boundary they acquired from the West, although they do not conform with the actions of these states. It is remarkable that most of these borders are artificial and the ethnic groups living in the region are not taken into consideration. This causes an ethnic group to often stay within the borders of multiple countries. Kurds are one of the examples of the division of the same ethnic group with modern borders, by staying within the borders of more than one country. In this study, Nusaybin and Qamişlo districts at Turkey and Syrian border which are positioned as two opposite cities by the drawing of the borders are examined and envisagement forms and the development of border crossings between the two cities are discussed. As a result of the study, it occurs that the image of the border is not always the same for the states and the people in the border region. Because, while borders define the area that sovereignty is applied for states, it is mostly a simple wire fence or minefield for the people. Thickening of the border, on the other hand, took form due to ethnic continuity across the border. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

REFUGEES ,SYMPATHY - Abstract
The emotional reaction and outrage following the publication of photographs of Alan Kurdi who drowned while crossing borders in September 2015 highlighted the major impact visual representations of refugee deaths at border crossings can have on public opinions and political will. The impact of these photographs also shows that depictions of deaths as a result of border crossings are relatively rare in the media; analyses of such representations and their potential impact on policy are also neglected in the literature. This article offers a commentary on the key themes linked to visual representations of refugee deaths at border crossings by considering three recent examples, and argues for further interdisciplinary discussions on such images. It focuses on two points: that depicting refugees alone has a greater impact on viewers and is more likely to trigger sympathy or outrage; concurrently, that anonymity can reduce viewers’ ability to connect with the tragedy. This discussion adds to the body of literature on the links between media representations and policymaking, and on the mediation of human vulnerability through visual means. The themes outlined here have much currency in contemporary discussions on refugee deaths at border crossings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article focuses on border crossings in travel stories, which were published in hand-written newspapers in 19th- and early 20th-century Finland. These papers were a popular tradition in student organizations and popular movements. Border crossings appear in travel stories in three different representations. Firstly, border crossings are repeated motifs in travel stories, both as challenging events and as small gestures and encounters. Travel stories demarcate boundaries, but they also provide a means for transgressing them. Secondly, hand-written newspapers as a literary practice highlight borders between oral and written communication. They were produced as one single manuscript copy, and published by being read out aloud in social events. Thirdly, the authors of hand-written newspapers were placed on the border of different positions in society such as class, gender and age. My analysis is based on the methodological discussion of small stories and personal experience narratives; travel stories can be defined as "local event narratives". I have outlined four basic models for travel stories which emerge from hand-written newspapers: the great mission story, the grand tour story, the flaneur story and the retreat story. The analysis of travel stories is presented through four different case studies with a time range from the 1850s to the 1920s: these materials have been produced in two provincial student fraternities (osakunta), in the temperance society "Star" in Helsinki in the 1890s, and in the Social Democratic Youth Club in the small industrial town of Karkkila in the 1910s and the 1920s. Many parallel features can be observed in travel stories, even though the social background and ideology of the authors are quite different. Time and space are important aspects in travel stories, and they often demarcate boundaries of class and gender.

XENOPHOBIA , *IMMIGRANTS , *MEXICANS ,UNITED States emigration & immigration - Abstract
I am an assistant professor at New Mexico State University; however, the path to getting to this position has been about crossing borders, about learning in and from the borderlands. The borderlands that my body has had to cross, physically and figuratively, have left many heridas abiertas (open wounds) but have also provided me with knowledge. The pain and struggles are constant reminders of the collisions that happen between el primer y tercer mundo and how these experiences leave open wounds. The inextricable relationship between Mexico and the US is deepened as Mexicanos like me are forced to come to El Norte, whether by choice or brought by parents. At almost 11 years old, my life changed—I crossed, with the help of a coyote, into Los Angeles, California. In the US, xenophobic spaces and actions have influenced and shaped my epistemologies and my awareness/conocimiento about navigating anti-immigrant spaces. This conocimiento was affirmed by and informs my teaching and research. This acute awareness, facultad (Anzaldúa, 1987), and use of these teaching tools are what I term pedagogical border crossings. In this article, I focus on the social expulsion of the migrant. Social expulsion refers to the multivalent ways in which those in power demean, vilify, exclude, displace, and strip people of hope for the future. Specifically, I write about fault-zones-the material realities of borders and border crossings-that render the lives of immigrants precarious, such as draconian U.S. immigration policies and actions that result in the death, criminalization and mass incarceration of migrants. I contend that in the present climate of hate against immigrants, artists' interventions provide a means by which to create social awareness of dehumanizing social conditions and foster community engagement to mobilize resistance movements against injustices across geo-political and cultural locations. In this article I argue that the growing plight of migrant children can be better understood when seen at the intersections of geopolitics, gender, class and especially age discrimination. Their plight is composed of journeys and border crossings. As a theological activity, I engage the predicaments of migrant children with the theology of incarnation in the light of new developments in children-related theologies. The theology of incarnation offers inclusive notions of migration and resources to resist and interrogate exclusion. A fresh view of incarnation as the birth and movement of a human child provides a compelling understanding to accept migrant children as the signs of God's presence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

45. Trade costs and borders in global value chains.

The effects of trade cost magnification due to multiple border crossings along global value chains are known from the scholarly literature and the reports of international organizations. However, evidence supporting or challenging this view has been limited. This article proposes two new measures of cumulative resistance to exports in global value chains and a measure of the average number of border crossings that build on the inter-country input-output framework. Data from the World Input-Output Database are supplemented with estimates derived from the UN Comtrade and UN TRAINS, allowing for an experimental computation of the accumulated import tariffs faced by exporters in 2001, 2005 and 2010. The average number of border crossings exhibits a slow upward trend, but the accumulated tariffs decline quickly. Trade liberalization therefore neutralizes the risk of higher cumulative protection associated with the international fragmentation of production. The benefits of liberalization or facilitation of trade within free trade agreements accrue to non-members, and this effect can now be estimated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Danışman: DR. ÖĞR. ÜYESİ ONUR ÖZDEMİR Yer Bilgisi: İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi / Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü / Ekonomi Finans Ana Bilim Dalı / Ekonomi ve Finans Bilim Dalı Konu: Ekonomi = Economics, Bu tezin amacı, dış ticaret haddinin (terms of trade – TOT) Irak ekonomik büyümesi (GSYİH) üzerindeki etkilerini sermaye stoku ve işgücü dikkate alınarak araştırmaktır. TOT'un olumsuz etkisi, ürünlerin ithalat fiyatının genellikle ihracat fiyatından daha yüksek olması veya ithalat fiyatındaki artış oranının genellikle ihracat fiyatındaki büyüme oranından daha yüksek olması ile açıklanabilir., The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effects of terms of trade (TOT) on Iraqi economic growth (GDP) considering capital stock and labor force. Data from the World Bank and Iraqi government statistics were used to create a time series from 1990 to 2019. To investigate the interrelationship among the variables, the ARDL model has been chosen in this study because it can be applied on models where variables included in the equations are stationary at different levels. The empirical findings of the study demonstrate that labor and capital have a beneficial impact on economic growth both in the short and long run. The findings also reveal that TOT has statistically significant, negative long- and short-terms effects on Iraqi economic growth. The negative effect of TOT can be explained by the fact that the import price of products is generally greater than the export price, or that the rate of increase in the import price is generally higher than the rate of growth in the export price.

In the divided Berlin of the 1960s to 1980s, the S-Bahn held a specific position: it was object of controversial political debates, setting for numerous migration attempts, and of ten addressed as a metonymic representation of the (divided) urban architecture that was specific to Berlin. Thus it served as an important medium of ref lection for a number of authors, especially from the eastern part of the city: this article primarily examines poetry, essay writing, and prose texts by the former GDR authors Uwe Johnson, Günter Kunert, Fritz Rudolf Fries, Elke Erb, Johannes Jansen, and Annett Gröschner. Special attention needs to be payed to the S-Bahn as a poetic instrument for identifying an own position within the multi-layered Berlin topography: between East and West, affiliation and rejection, collective urban identity and self-assertion, performed and hindered border crossings.

In this paper, in collaboration with a friend, who is an artist and a licensed counselor, I use a mixed-medium art project to enact Gloria Anzaldúa’s theorizations of nepantlera. I do so by making visible how I operate from the liminal space that Anzaldúa terms nepantla, as a transnational woman of color in US higher education. Using Anzaldúa’s framework of autohistoria-teoría, I integrate fragmented storytelling, art-making, and theorization, exposing the wounds that accompany my movement through personal and professional spaces in academia. Critical to this exploration are a sense of isolation and exile, unsettling understandings of home and belongingness, and the deep excavation of wounds that maintain and proliferate divisions between self and other. Such divisions offer sites of interrogation into our complicity with our oppression through denying power that comes from within, waging war on ourselves, and venerating oppressive externalized power structures. Since the mid-1980s, migrants from North African and sub-Saharan countries have irregularly crossed the Strait of Gibraltar in the hope of a better future for themselves and their families. Travelling in small, poorly equipped boats without experienced captains has cost the lives of myriad border-crossers. Exploring the junction of death and belonging, I first open a discussion about the enigmatic relation between a dead body and a dead person and argue for the importance of the physical presence of the body for mourning. Second, I show how the anonymity of dead border-crossers and their uncertain belongings are generated, concealed, or rewritten. Following the story of an undertaker, I third examine post-mortem border crossings. Depicting the power relations within identification processes, I outline the ambiguity of the term belonging by emphasising the constitutive significance of personal belongings such as clothes to restore a person's identity. Reflecting on the ethical relationships which different actors (including the researcher) undertake with the deceased, I aim at gaining a better understanding of the multiple belongings of dead border-crossers found on Spanish shores.
