Cet article analyse la constitution d’un collectif de recherche autour d’un essai clinique de thérapie génique à la lumière du concept d’objet-frontière. Il décrit les dimensions scientifiques, organisationnelles et réglementaires de la réalisation de l’essai et interroge la nature de l’objet-frontière, entre paillasse, clinique, patients et instances réglementaires que constitue cet essai. Il analyse ensuite la façon dont le collectif réuni autour de l’essai va être mis à l’épreuve suite à la survenue d’un « événement indésirable ». Propulsées sur la scène publique, soumises à interrogation de la part d’un collectif désormais étendu, la pertinence et la solidité de l’essai deviennent l’enjeu d’une nouvelle démonstration. L’article pointe ainsi vers la nécessité de prendre en compte, dans l’analyse des collectifs de recherche et des objets-frontières qui contribuent à les fonder, les propriétés de ces objets, leur capacité à bousculer et obliger les acteurs. This paper analyzes the creation of a research collective around a gene-therapy clinical trial thanks to the concept of boundary-object. It describes the scientific, organizational and regulation dimensions of the trial, and analyzes the different boundary-objects upon which the realization of the trial is based. It then interrogates the way these boundary-objects are challenged by an unexpected event happening during the course of the trial: the pertinence and the robustness of these objects have to be demonstrated again in front of a broader audience. The argument thus points towards the necessity of taking into account the trajectory in time and public space of boundary objects in order to analyze research collectives. Este artículo analiza la constitución de un colectivo de investigación acerca de un ensayo clínico de terapia genética con la ayuda del concepto de «objeto-frontera». Describe las dimensiones científicas, organizacionales y reglamentarias de la realización del ensayo y explicita la naturaleza de los diferentes objetos-fronteras que permiten su realización. El artículo continua interrogando la manera en la cual esos objetos-fronteras están puestos a prueba con el surgimiento de un «acontecimiento indeseable» durante el ensayo. Propulsados en la escena pública, cuestionados por un colectivo desde ahora extendido, su pertinencia y su firmeza tienen que pasar por otra demonstración. El análisis subraya la necesidad de tomar en cuenta, en el análisis de los colectivos de investigación, de la trayectoria, en el tiempo y en el espacio público, de los objetos-fronteras que los constituyen.

Aujourd’hui, les objets se voient attribuer un rôle important dans l’analyse des dynamiques sociales, notamment au travers des mécanismes de coordination entre les acteurs humains. Le concept d’objet-frontière a, pour sa part, permis d’enrichir l’approche de l’innovation. Cet article vise à illustrer le rôle des objets-frontière dans le découpage temporel et social d’une innovation de service. Une enquête de type ethnographique a été menée dans un laboratoire de recherche afin d’analyser le processus de partage et de diffusion d’un outil de diagnostic du stress et de l’expertise qui lui est associée. Ce cas permet de montrer le rôle des objets-frontière d’une part dans la réduction de l’incertitude inhérente à tout processus innovant (découpage temporel) et, d’autre part, dans la définition d’un service innovant (découpage social). Today, an important role is attributed to objects in the analysis of social dynamics, in particular where the mechanism of coordination between human beings is concerned. The concept of boundary objects has made it possible to develop the approach to innovation. This article aims to illustrate the role of boundary objects in the social and temporal repartition of an innovating service. An ethnographic study was conducted by a research department to evaluate the distribution and transmission process of a tool for stress diagnosis and the expertise associated with it. This study demonstrates the boundary object’s role in reducing the uncertainty inherent to all innovating processes (temporal repartition) as well as its role in the definition of an innovating service (social repartition). Hoy en día se atribuye a los objetos un papel importante en el análisis de las dinámicas sociales, sobre todo a través de mecanismos de coordinación entre actores humanos. El concepto de objeto frontera permite, por su parte, enriquecer el enfoque de la innovación. Este artículo sirve de ilustración del papel de los objetos frontera en la fragmentación temporal y social de una innovación del servicio. Se ha llevado a cabo una encuesta de tipo etnográfico en un laboratorio de investigación con objeto de analizar el proceso de compartir y difundir una herramienta de diagnóstico del estrés y el conocimiento especializado asociado. Este caso permite mostrar la función de los objetos frontera, en cuanto a la reducción de la incertidumbre inherente a todo proceso innovador (fragmentación temporal), por un lado, y en cuanto a la definición de un servicio innovador (fragmentación social), por otro.

Face à « l’injonction d’innover », les projets de conceptions d’innovations technologiques font de plus en plus appel aux sciences humaines et sociales. L’implication que suppose ce type de démarche impose souvent la nécessité d’une matérialisation de la production de connaissances sous formes d’objets divers (films, scenarios, etc.). Le présent article s’appuie sur l’étude d’un tel projet, où le concept d’objet-frontière fut introduit par des sociologues pour faciliter la caractérisation des objets en cours de réalisation, dans un contexte de travail interdisciplinaire. En revenant sur la fabrication des objets, nous montrerons comment l’identité du projet s’est redéfinie suite à l’introduction de cette notion, et combien il est difficile de fabriquer de tels objets au cours de l’action : en réalité, les objets prennent des formes diversifiées et s’inscrivent dans des trajectoires complexes. Cette analyse permettra aussi d’éclairer la dynamique du projet et ces changements de perspective, en mettant en exergue les tensions liées aux langages hétérogènes et à la faiblesse des standards Faced with the “requirement to innovate” design projects for technological innovations have increasingly relied on the social sciences in recent times. These approaches often necessitate the material actualisation of knowledge production in different forms (films, screenplays, etc). This article focuses on the study of such a project, wherein the boundary‑object concept, introduced by the social researchers, is operationalised in order to facilitate the depiction of objects created in an interdisciplinary context. By returning to the objects production, we will demonstrate how the project’s identity is redefined following the introduction of this notion, as well as the difficulties faced in the process of making such objects: in reality, the objects assume diverse forms and follow complex trajectories. Furthermore, this analysis clarifies the project’s dynamics and the project’s outcome shifts in perception, by highlighting the tensions related to the heterogeneous languages and to the standards’ weakness. Frente a la «obligación de innovar», los proyectos dedicados a la concepción de innovaciones tecnológicas apelan, cada vez más, al campo de las ciencias humanas y sociales. La repercusión en la praxis de este tipo de conducta impone, a menudo, la materialización de la producción de conocimientos en forma de objetos diversos (películas, guiones, maquetas...). El presente artículo se apoya en el estudio de uno de estos proyectos donde el concepto de objeto‑frontera fue introducido por un equipo de sociólogos para facilitar la caracterización de objetos en curso de realización, en un contexto de trabajo interdisciplinario. Volviendo a la fabricación de objetos, mostraremos como la identidad del proyecto se redefine tras la introducción de esta noción de objeto‑frontera, y cuán difícil es producir tales objetos en el curso de la acción: en realidad, los objetos toman formas diversas y se inscriben en trayectorias complejas. Este análisis permitirá también explicar la dinámica del proyecto y sus cambios de perspectiva, poniendo de manifiesto las tensiones relacionadas con los lenguajes heterogéneos y con la debilidad de los estándares.

Cet article s’intéresse aux conditions de maintien et de pérennisation des dispositifs et des organisations chargées de la gestion préventive de phénomènes intermittents de faible fréquence soumis à l’épreuve de l’attente. Il propose une lecture sociologique centrée sur les modalités d’instauration et de fonctionnement d’un dispositif de gestion des invasions de criquets pèlerins en Mauritanie. À partir d’une analyse empirique à trois niveaux (étude des conditions historiques de la structuration du dispositif de lutte préventive contre les invasions acridiennes, étude des discours gestionnaires contrastés qui accompagnent la fabrique d’une attente vigilante et étude ethnographique au sein d’un centre de lutte contre les invasions de criquets pèlerins), les auteurs proposent une analyse interprétative qui débouche sur la proposition et la caractérisation de la notion d’objet-frontière-transitionnel. This article focuses on the conditions for maintaining and sustaining devices and organizations responsible for the preventive management of intermittent and low frequency phenomena. It offers a sociological study centered on the modalities of enactment and operation of a locust invasions management system in Mauritania. From an empirical analysis at three levels (a study of the historical conditions of the structuring of preventive control device against locust invasions, a study of contrasted management speech which accompany the construction of a watchful waiting, ethnographic study in a national locust control center) the authors propose an interpretative analysis which leading to the proposal and the characterization of the notion of transitional-boundary-objects. This work proposes an original contribution to the analysis of the monitoring procedure in the structuring of the regimes of biosecurity involving unstable life forms. Este artículo se centra en las condiciones para mantener y para sostener los dispositivos y organizaciones responsables de la gestión preventiva de los fenómenos intermitentes de baja frecuencia. Ofrece una lectura sociológica centrada sobre las modalidades de creación y de funcionamiento de un sistema de gestión de las invasiones de langostas en Mauritania. A partir de un análisis empírico en tres niveles (un estudio de las condiciones históricas de la estructuración del dispositivo de control preventivo contra la langosta, un estudio de los discursos de gerentes que acompaña a la fábrica de una espera vigilante y un estudio etnográfico de un centro nacional contra las langostas), los autores proponen un análisis interpretativo que lleva a la propuesta y la caracterización de la noción de objeto-frontera-transicional. Este trabajo propone una contribución original al análisis del procedimiento de vigilancia en la estructuración de planes de bioseguridad que implican formas de vida inestables.

The pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the way in which the disease is propagated involves a clear risk for the hospitality industry. This industry, particularly in countries whose economies depend largely on tourism, has been forced into implementing many different kinds of measures to guarantee safety and hygiene. This has involved a great logistical challenge and has radically changed the gastronomic experience, making it more complicated. From a point of view that is less focussed on the resolution of the “urgent”, the situation we are experiencing may constitute an opportunity to reconsider the cognitive and institutional framework in which gastronomy has developed until now. This paper proposes a new paradigm called gastrology, which is a departure from the social imaginaries of gastronomy, with its common sense definitions, burdened with normativity. COVID-19 is a challenge to the scales in which we think about the world. The pandemic teaches us that, for example, the micro and the macro -the propagation of the virus in the form of aerosols and the global economic crisis, or the microbiome and climate change-are intimately related. In this multiscale context, gastrology is an attempt to resignify gastronomy as a boundary-object: a convergence of all those scales that range from the planet to our intestine. This paradigm will require the confluence of multiple scientific disciplines that are disposed to abandon their certainties and rethink themselves as a consequence of contact with an object of study that is as complex as gastronomy.

National audience; This article initiates a theoretical, empirical and sociological reflection on the concept of digital mockup considered in BIM projects. By comparing these two types of mockup, some theoretical and empirical characteristics of a digital mockup will be suggested. Then, the article assumes some sociological considerations as the heterogeneous diversity of actors involved with this new artifact to complete the description. This leads us to link the concept of digital mockup with the concept of boundary object.; Cet article cherche à initier une réflexion théorique, empirique et sociologique sur le concept de maquette numérique considéré dans le cadre de projets BIM. Ainsi, nous considérons dans un premier temps la maquette physique qui, par effet miroir, nous sert à identifier certaines caractéristiques théoriques et empiriques inhérentes à la maquette numérique BIM. Puis, portés par l’intérêt de considérer l’hétérogène diversité des acteurs qui lui sont rattachés, nous approfondissons notre description par le prisme de la sociologie. En particulier, ceci nous permet d’envisager un rapprochement entre la maquette numérique BIM et le concept d’objetfrontière.

The Bologna process, which begun in 1999, aims at building a European higher education area and involves the participation of a very large number of heterogeneous actors who do not necessarily attribute the same objectives to higher education and who,for most of them, never meet, which raises the question of coordination. This involves a set of public policy instruments that must be implemented within each higher education system, including the ECTS system, the Diploma Supplement, the European Qualifications Framework, the Global Qualifications Framework for the European higher education area, and the quality assessment of higher education. These instruments are connected by the same element that compose them, i.e. learning outcomes. Starting from the French-speaking Belgian higher education, this article offers an analysis of the actors’ coordination work by mobilizing the concepts of policy instruments and boundary-objects.

Ce mémoire de maîtrise est une étude d’un phénomène émergent, le biohacking. Depuis 2008 et la création du groupe Boslab à Boston, le biohacking se pratique dans différents groupes autour du monde. Les biohackers se réunissent autour d’un vivant que l’on ne découvre plus mais que l’on fabrique. Ils hackent, bricolent le vivant et son code génétique, comme l’on hackerait un programme informatique. À travers une ethnographie qui suit la création du groupe de biohacking de Montréal, mais aussi à travers une ethnographie en passant dans différents groupes d’Europe et d’Amérique du Nord, je propose de comprendre le phénomène du biohacking à travers une étude médiatique du vivant. Ainsi, je propose de penser le vivant comme un medium, entendu comme un intermédiaire, un moyen, mais surtout un milieu. Un milieu qui permet de placer la notion de relation au centre de la réflexion, plutôt que sur l’objet en lui même. Un milieu dans lequel des groupes se développent, vivent et cohabitent à l’intérieur d’une communauté plus grande. Des groupes qui échangent des matériaux, des connaissances et des pratiques, entres eux, mais aussi avec les grandes institutions. Cette recherche propose de repenser notre rapport au vivant pour comprendre un phénomène à la base d’une révolution scientifique et sociale., This thesis is a study of an emerging phenomenon, biohacking. Since 2008, and the creation of the Boslab in Boston, biohacking is practiced in different groups around the world. Biohackers meet around the idea that the living is no longer discovered but made. They hack, tinker the living and its genetic code, like one would hack a computer program. Through an ethnography that follows the creation of the biohacking group of Montreal, but also through an ethnography in different groups in Europe and North America, I propose to understand the phenomenon of biohacking through a media study of the living. I propose to think of the living as a medium, understood as an intermediary, a support, but above all an environment. A medium which places the notion of relation at the center of the reflection. An environment in which groups develop, live and cohabit in a larger community. These groups exchange materials, knowledge and practices, among themselves, but also with major institutions. This research proposes to rethink our relationship with the living to understand a phenomenon which could very well be the basis of a scientific and social revolution, biohacking.

C’est en situant le concept du vivant tel qu’appréhendé par les technosciences et la nouvelle bio-économie, que le texte tente d’articuler la place du bio-art dans la production de la connaissance scientifique. La notion d’objet-frontière est utilisée afin de comprendre le dialogue qui peut s’établir entre deux mondes hétérogènes autour du statut du vivant. D’un côté, le monde de l’art qui met en scène le vivant dans ses oeuvres en le manipulant de manière créative et qui s’immisce dans la pratique scientifique et biogénétique à des fins « est-éthiques » et politiques, et qui tente d’interroger l’avenir de l’humain en explorant les possibilités du vivant. De l’autre côté, le monde scientifique qui tente de s’approprier le vivant en le redéfinissant dans le contexte de la bio-économie dans une logique endogène de production des savoirs. L’article explore les façons dont l’univers du bio-art, en intervenant dans le vivant, peut ouvrir de nouveaux espaces de réflexion sur le statut du vivant dans un monde post-naturel., By locating « life » as a construction of technoscience and of the new bioeconomy, the article attempts to articulate the role played by Bio-art within the production of scientific knowledge. The concept of boundary-object is used to investigate the dialogue that can arise between two heterogeneous worlds around the notion of « life ». On the one hand, bioart explores the possibilities of life and living materials in its works by creatively manipulating it, and interrogating the future of humanity. The art world intervenes in scientific and biogenetic practice by using life and living materials, as a form of political resistance. On the other hand, science appropriates life by redefining it within the logic of endogenous production of knowledge in the context of the bioeconomy. The article explores the ways in which the bioartistic world, by intervening in living processes, can open up new reflexive spaces for considering life in a post-natural world., Situando el concepto de lo viviente tal como es aprehendido por las tecnociencias y la nueva bio-economía, es como el texto intenta articular un lugar del bio-arte dentro de la producción del conocimiento científico. La noción de objeto-frontera es utilizada con el fin de comprender el diálogo que puede establecerse entre dos mundos heterogéneos alrededor del status de lo viviente. Desde un extremo, el mundo del arte que pone en escena de lo viviente dentro de sus obras manipulándolo de manera creativa y que se inserta en la práctica científica y biogenética con fines est-éticos y políticos, y que pretende interrogar el futuro de lo humano explorando las posibilidades de lo viviente. En otro extremo, el mundo científico que intenta apropiarse de lo viviente definiéndolo dentro del contexto de la bio-economía dentro de una lógica endógena de producción de saberes. El artículo explora las formas a través de las cuales el universo del bio-arte, interviniendo dentro de lo viviente, puede abrir nuevos espacios de reflexión sobre el status de lo viviente dentro de un mundo post-natural.

International audience; As a result of the literature request for a methodological and conceptual renewal, this communication initiates an original approach for the study of social support in enterprise restructuring and downsizing : it analyzes the coordination arrangements of the network of actors involved in the outplacement process to examine the operationalization of the outplacement. These coordination artifacts are considered as boundary objects that convey an invisible infrastructure of interpretation of employability to the different social worlds of outplacement. A multi-level case study of the boundary objects of outplacement is conducted in a complex Layoffs procedure (Air Littoral airline group in 2004-2005, with 856 dismissals) and it analyses and sheds a light on six boundary objects, the way the actors use them and their employability infrastructure.; Répondant à une demande de renouvellement théorique et méthodologique exprimée dans la littérature, cette communication adopte une approche originale de l’étude de l’accompagnement social des restructurations d’entreprise : elle analyse l’opérationnalisation du reclassement à partir des artefacts de coordination des acteurs impliqués dans le processus. Ces artefacts sont considérés comme des objets-frontières, qui véhiculent une infrastructure invisible d’interprétation de l’employabilité propre aux différents mondes sociaux présents. L’étude de cas exploratoire multi-niveaux de la cellule de reclassement d’un Plan de Sauvegarde de l’Emploi complexe et de grande ampleur (celui du groupe de transport aérien Air Littoral en 2004-2005, avec 856 licenciements) permet alors d’analyser six objets- frontières, leur manipulation par les acteurs et leur infrastructure sur l’employabilité.

Today's global market means that raw materials are sought and bought from all over the world. This creates an higher demand for a well-functioning supply chain. In our thesis we have studied a large paper mill in northen Sweden which experiences issues with flow of raw material. Our aim has hence been to examine which aspects affect the flow of raw materials to the mill, and how these can be adressed using an IT-system. The question we sought to answer was; What factors are important to consider and how do these affect the ability of an IT-system which will support the flow of raw material at the paper mill? We have found that the problems are strongly connected to the low amount of information sharing between the mill and the suppliers. We have come to the conclusion that the paper mill and the suppliers could benefit from boundary-spanning, and that a so-called awareness display which indicates current capacity would support that.

The new unified financing system, base on the production measures, place hospital structures vis-a-vis an alternative: to implement the model suggested by supervision (ENCC) or to develop its own model. This choice is particularly crucial for non for profit establishments their originality being any more taken into account by the law HPST. The Hospital Group St Augustin made the choice of an autonomous instrumentation. Choice based on a participative approach associating the health professionals to the structuring of the economic model and the definition of the restitutions intended for control. This text puts in perspective the development of an instrumentation and debate on the governance of the hospital structures and proposes a track to bypass the traditional conflict between medical and administrative power by calling upon the concept of boundary-object., La mise en place de la tarification à l'activité comme mode de financement unifié des structures hospitalières place ces dernières face à une alternative : se couler dans le modèle proposé par la tutelle(ENCC) ou développer leur propre instrumentation. Ce choix est particulièrement crucial pour les établissements à but non lucratif dont l'originalité n'est plus prise en compte par la loi HPST. Le Groupe Hospitalier St Augustin a fait le pari d'une instrumentation autonome. Pari qui s'appuie sur une démarche participative associant les professionnels de santé à la structuration du modèle économique et à la définition des restitutions destinées au pilotage. Ce texte resitue la démarche d'instrumentation par rapport au débat sur la gouvernance des structures hospitalières et propose une piste pour le dépassement du conflit traditionnel entre pouvoir médical et pouvoir gestionnaire en faisant appel à la notion d'objet frontière.

Geographic Information Technologies are now widespread. Geomatics tools are no longer restricted to a small number of technicians but impact on all of the actors within the land management sector (planners, geologists, foresters...). Many partnerships have emerged due to the increasing number of GIS expert as well as the increasing needs of integrated land approaches. Beyond their original purpose of basic map dissemination, these groups require spatial data infrastructures in order to organize thematic data coproduction. That is the reason why a switch is occuring : from spatial data sharing to spatial knowledge sharing. In this context, the thesis intends to understand and analyse the issues of this new interorganizational geomatics. Spatial data build a territorial reality reflecting experience and expectations of its producer. That is the reason why the issues are numerous. How can spatial data be simultaneously the result of collective negotiation as well as the object of individual representation ? So, the aim of this research is to understand the role of spatial data on the cooperation process of land managers (and stakeholders in land management). In order to give an answer, we choose to study the spatial data appropriation process. This process opens the analysis of how data can be used by a group that has not produced the data itself, as well as in a multi-actor context. We adopt a qualitative, inductive and exploratory methodology called "grounded theory" to build and specify our working hypothesis throughout the research. Four iterations allow a "roundtrip" process between empirical observations and theoretical analysis thus progressively exploring different aspects of explanation. A socio-cognitive approach, supported by observations, analyzes spatial data as a boundary-object in a socially and cognitively distributed actor network. Distributed cognition theory offers a framework to understand data as a cognitive and collaborative artefact. Eight exploratory case studies help to identify typical appropriation trajectories, factors and socio-cognitive processes. A systemic approach is applied to the results in order to propose an integrated and complementary vision of appropriation trajectories. The systemic framework of Eric Schwarz is used to highlight the importance of mediation process and focuses on the emergence of spatial knowledge sharing. Finally, an action agenda can be emerge from an assessment of this new way to analyze the interorganizational geomatics. This agenda comprises organisation (from consensus or compromise to an argumentative consensus process), actors (from animator to a facilitator competence) and technology (from standardizing ontologies to negociating ontologies). This research offers a different vantage point on the spatial data question. Systemic and socio-cognitive approaches suggest a new integration of knowledge and information in the context of geographical information technologies. The thesis therefore provides understanding and operation elements so that spatial data sharing can progressively evolve into geomatics learning networks, also termed "communities of practice"., Dans le contexte actuel de diffusion rapide des technologies de l'information géographique, les outils de la géomatique ne sont plus réservés à quelques techniciens mais touchent désormais l'ensemble des acteurs du territoire (aménageurs, urbanistes, géologues, forestiers, gestionnaires de réseaux, etc.). Face à cette multiplication de systèmes d'information géographique experts et devant les besoins croissants de visions intégrées du territoire, de nombreuses initiatives partenariales voient le jour. Leurs finalités tendent à évoluer progressivement : de la diffusion de catalogues à la mise en ligne, l'échange voire l'harmonisation et la coproduction de données géographiques. On observe, ainsi, un basculement progressif des logiques de porter à connaissance vers des objectifs plus ambitieux de partage de connaissances. Dans ce contexte, la thèse vise à comprendre et analyser les enjeux de cette nouvelle géomatique interorganisationnelle. La donnée géographique est la construction d'une réalité territoriale qui reflète l'expérience et les attentes de son producteur. Par conséquent, les enjeux de sa coproduction et de son partage sont multiples. En effet, comment la donnée géographique peut-elle être à la fois un objet de négociation collective (les réseaux géomatiques inter-organisationnels se créent avant tout pour les échanger, les cataloguer, les coproduire) tout en étant objet de représentation individuelle (i.e. traduction des modèles cognitifs territoriaux de leur producteur) ? Aussi, l'objectif de la recherche est de comprendre le rôle joué véritablement par la donnée géographique dans la coopération entre les acteurs du territoire. Pour ce faire, nous avons choisi d'étudier les démarches d'appropriation des données géographiques. Elles nous permettent d'analyser comment, dans un contexte multi-acteurs, une donnée peut trouver une place et un usage au sein d'une organisation qui ne l'a pas produite. Notre questionnement nous amène à adopter une démarche qualitative, inductive et exploratoire où, selon les principes méthodologiques de la théorie ancrée, nos hypothèses de travail se construisent et se précisent au fil de la recherche. Quatre itérations ont, ainsi, permis d'effectuer des aller-retours entre observations empiriques et analyses théoriques afin d'en faire émerger progressivement différents éléments de compréhension. L'approche socio-cognitive, consolidée au fil des observations sur le terrain, étudie le rôle de la donnée géographique en tant qu'objet-frontière de réseaux d'acteurs socialement et cognitivement distribués. Le cadre unificateur qu'offre la cognition socialement distribuée permet, en particulier, de comprendre le rôle d'artefact cognitif et collaboratif que peut jouer la donnée. Huit études de cas exploratoires servent à identifier des trajectoires-types d'appropriation et les facteurs et processus socio-cognitifs qui y sont associés. Ces résultats sont prolongés par une approche systémique qui propose une vision intégrée et complémentaire des trajectoires d'appropriation. La mobilisation du méta-cadre systémique de Schwarz met en exergue l'enjeu essentiel des processus de médiation (entre acteurs et entre acteurs et données) et insiste sur le caractère émergeant des connaissances partagées que peuvent révéler des situations collaboratives. Enfin, un bilan de cette nouvelle façon d'aborder la géomatique inter-organisationnelle permet de proposer quelques leviers d'action, aussi bien au niveau des organisations (des logiques de compromis au consensus différencié), qu'au niveau des acteurs (de l'animateur au facilitateur) ou des outils (des ontologies pour standardiser aux ontologies pour négocier). Cette recherche offre, en effet, un regard différent sur la problématique du partage de données géographiques. La mobilisation d'une approche à la fois systémique et socio-cognitive permet d'envisager un nouveau rapport à la connaissance et à l'information au sein des technologies de l'information géographique. La thèse fournit ainsi des éléments de compréhension et d'intervention pour accompagner la transformation des dispositifs collaboratifs autour de l'information géographique en réseaux géomatiques apprenants, que nous qualifierons également de communautés de pratique.

In this article, we confront the boundary-object model proposed by Star and Griesemer with an exemplary case of coordination between the nature management world and the academic research world: the production of an estimation of the wolves' number in France. In a first section, we show that this production constitutes a collective activity, orchestrated by a nature manager: the national Office for Hunting and Wildlife, and involving several actors, including research laboratories. We present these actors and precise their motivations and their role in the treatment chain of the wolf presence material signs collected on the field. We observe that the coordination between these actors does not prevent them from maintaining their own practices and aims. In the second section, we show that this coordination relies on a boundary-object — the wolf “hair” — and more precisely on its equipment (codes, conventions) during the various stages of its treatment: “invisible infrastructures” are indeed attached to the wolf “hair”, that are transported and transformed with him, enabling its inscription in various practise communities and, finally, the production of a quantitative estimation of the wolves' number in France., Dans cet article, nous confrontons le modèle d'objet-frontière proposé par Star et Griesemer (1989) à un cas exemplaire de coordination entre le monde de la gestion de la nature et celui de la recherche académique : l'élaboration d'une estimation de l'effectif de la population de loups en France. Dans une première partie, nous voyons que cette élaboration constitue une entreprise collective, orchestrée par un acteur de la gestion de la nature : l'Office national de la chasse et de la faune sauvage, dans laquelle interviennent plusieurs acteurs, dont des laboratoires de recherche, que nous présentons et dont nous précisons les motivations et le rôle dans la chaîne de traitement des indices matériels de présence des loups recueillis sur le terrain. Nous observons que la mise en place d'une coordination entre ces acteurs ne les empêche pas de maintenir leurs communautés d'objectifs et de pratiques propres. Dans la deuxième partie, nous montrons que cette coordination repose sur un objet-frontière — le « poil » de loup —, et plus particulièrement sur son équipement (codes, conventions) au cours des différentes étapes de traitement : des « infrastructures invisibles » sont en effet attachées au « poil » de loup, qui sont transportées et transformées avec lui, et qui rendent possible son inscription dans des communautés de pratiques différentes et, au final, la production d'une estimation chiffrée du nombre de loups sur le sol français.

In the event of a public controversy involving technoscientific developments, the cultural authority of science is confronted with an array of knowledge taking its origins from a variety of horizons (pro-fessional, popular, militant…). At first sight, it seems that television can provide a scene for the vari-ous interpretations to be expressed. However observations over the last six years show, as the con-troversy around genetically modified organisms has been under media attention that this diversity is being both restructured and prioritised. Rather than providing a forum facilitating negotiations, it seems that television reinforces – or so is the hypothesis we put forward – the cultural authority of the scientific institution. Indeed, rhetorical boundaries ensuring/protecting a “pure and independent” science are constantly repositioned with a view to restore the confidence people have towards the institution. Thus the “television cartography” of the controversy aims at preserving the values of industrial society rather than facilitating the emergence of reflexive modernity., Lorsque qu’une controverse publique concerne les développements technoscientifiques, l’autorité culturelle de la science est confrontée à une pluralité de savoirs émanant d’horizons différents (professionnels, populaires, militants…). À première vue, la télévision constitue une scène accueillant ces diverses interprétations des problèmes. Mais, l’observation de six années de médiatisation de la controverse autour des organismes génétiquement modifiés (OGM) montre que cette diversité est réordonnée et hiérarchisée. Plutôt que d’offrir un espace à la négociation, la télévision renforcerait – telle est notre hypothèse – l’autorité culturelle de l’institution scientifique. En effet, les frontières rhétoriques assurant et protégeant la crédibilité de la science « pure et autonome » sont perpétuellement repositionnées dans le but de restaurer la confiance des publics envers cette institution. En ce sens, la « cartographie télévisuelle » de la controverse préserverait les valeurs de la société industrielle, plus qu’elle ne favoriserait l’émergence d’une modernité réflexive.

Dans une approche sémio-pragmatique et temporaliste, on y analyse les conditions dans lesquelles se mettent en place des fenêtres temps où se concentrent et s’arriment visionnements et commentaires. Le temps de cette rencontre entre réseaux sociaux et médias sociaux, l’internaute peut investir son expérience de visionnement comme un espace de communication où il entre en quasi-interaction avec le youtubeur et sa communauté d’internautes. Alimenté par le sentiment d’authenticité et l’absence de distinction entre fiction et non-fiction, le dispositif de visionnement du vlog apparaît comme un objet-frontière qui est à la fois une plateforme de visionnement et de distribution, un réseau social et un média social., This article questions the contribution of social networks to the experience of a YouTuber’s follower. In a semio-pragmatic and temporalist approach, we analyze the conditions in which time windows, concentrating views and comments, are set up. At the junction of social networks and social media, internet users invest their viewing experience as a communication space where they are in quasi-interaction with the YouTuber and its internet community. As the vlog nurture a feeling of authenticity and the lack of distinction between fiction and non-fiction, it appears as a boundary-object. The vlog as a boundary-object is both a distribution and viewing platform, a social network and a social media.
