Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyse changes in tourism as a local economic development sector, considering environmental degradation and new global scenarios during and after the pandemic. The objective is to propose a sustainable, collaborative, and happinessoriented tourism management model to revive the tourism sector. Methodology/Design/Approach - The study utilizes grounded theory methodology, incorporating a systematic document review and a critical analysis of the successful UsiacuríAtlántico municipality in tourism management. This approach aids in developing the TUGMECOL tourism model, emphasizing collaborative networks and promoting dynamic, productive, participatory, legitimate, and respectful heritage tourism management. Results - The study’s findings converge in the TUGMECOL tourism management model, notable for its emphasis on quality of life and objective happiness as innovative dimensions for sustainable tourism sector development. This model is evident as a manifestation of political trust in local development. Originality of the research - This research is unique in its approach to sustainable tourism management as a collaborative strategy for local economic development. The use of grounded theory and critical analysis in the successful case of Usiacurí-Atlántico enhances the study’s originality and significance for potential replication in similar rural areas, opening avenues for further research to enhance the model.

In the era of globalized geo-economics, international big channel are changing the way geo-economic elements flow across borders, expanding cooperation spaces such as ports and border-free trade zones to more distant inland areas and shaping new ways of cross-border geo-economic cooperation. As an international land and sea channel connecting China and Myanmar, the China-Myanmar Indian Ocean New Channel (hereinafter "the Channel") is of great importance for promoting geo-economic cooperation between the two countries and the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. However, owing to various obstacles in geo-economic cooperation, the geo-economic effect of the Channel has not been effectively brought into play. In this study, the obstacles to geo-economic cooperation in the Channel and its collaborative mechanisms were analyzed to provide important scientific and technological support for enhancing its geo-economic effects and strengthening geo-economic cooperation between China and Myanmar. The natural geography of the region with its high mountains and deep valleys and the frequently occurring natural disasters are natural obstacles that limit the geo-economic effect of the Channel. Moreover, the difference in economic development between China and Myanmar is not conducive to the deepening of geo-economic cooperation in the Channel. Complex armed conflicts have disrupted the construction of the Channel and China's investment in its route, and the potential intervention of India and the United States will become an added constraint on its further development. Furthermore, the multiple stakeholders game in the construction of the Channel may bring geo-risks. Contrary to preconceived notions, geo-economic cooperation in the Channel is not a strategy for regional control, but rather to create an international trade corridor deeply related to transportation logistics, supply chains, industrial chains and value chains. To promote geo-economic cooperation in the Channel, its construction should be based on a multi-level collaborative mechanism for geo-economic cooperation. At the national level, the docking of development strategies between China and Myanmar should be strengthened by promoting integration of the Channel into the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening the docking of China-Myanmar policy communication mechanisms, and formulating a long-term development strategy plan for the Channel. At the channel level, the geo-economic effect of the Channel should be upgraded by promoting the linkage of internal and external infrastructures, strengthening geo-economic element cross-border flow and industrial cooperation, and deepening economic and trade cooperation with Myanmar and the Indian Ocean region. At the stakeholder level, a consultation mechanism involving multi-stakeholder participation should be established by strengthening the docking of multi-stakeholder interests, coordinating the mechanism of China-Myanmar port docking, and creating a three-dimensional risk prevention mechanism for the Channel.

This paper presents frameworks for auction‐based and posted price mechanisms for exchanging requests between carriers operating in the same geographical areas. Similar mechanisms have been studied before in a rather isolated manner. In this work, all mechanisms are tested within the same scenario and by comparing their results; the aim is to obtain insights regarding the efficiency gains they offer to the network and the required information for their application. Moreover, this comparison provides a clear idea of what is needed to implement each mechanism and the results to expect if one invests in the mentioned implementation, i.e., how much would the net profit be affected. The mechanisms' main objective is to give carriers the chance to improve their original sets of requests in order to increase their overall efficiency. Due to the nature of routing problems, requests usually have different costs for different carriers, depending on the location of the depots as well as on the requests that have to be serviced. The exchange mechanism should find a new allocation such that carriers obtain requests with higher value (i.e., lower cost) for them. Results obtained here show that individual auction‐based mechanisms provide similar results, on average, to centralized auction‐based mechanisms, both outperforming posted price mechanisms. Nevertheless, this improvement difference comes at the cost of providing more information (included in the carriers' bids). Readers can use the presented comparison and results to improve decisions taken prior to collaboration, specifically deciding which mechanism is the best option for a specific situation. Whether from government policies, customer expectations or personal beliefs, there is increasing pressure on firms and their supply chains to adopt sustainable practices. Manufacturing companies are particularly targeted, for example, to reduce CO2 emissions, offer sustainable products, etc. Research in this field has significantly increased in recent years. Most research states the importance of collaboration with upstream and downstream entities as a critical success factor when aiming for a sustainable supply chain and proposes various collaborative mechanisms (CMs) to enable firms in the implementation of a sustainability-oriented initiative. The goal of this paper is to investigate the role of collaboration in these initiatives and explore the proposed CMs via a systematic literature review method. A total of 404 articles were reviewed and the multitude of CMs proposed in the literature were classified into seven categories: relationship management, contractual and economic practices, joint practices, technological and information sharing practices, governance practices, assessment practices, and supply chain design. This systematic mapping of the field provides an in-depth view of the current state of research as well as research gaps. Amid advancements in information technology, this study explores the integration of blockchain technology in supply chain management, particularly for improving collaborative production mechanisms. Known for decentralization, transparency, and data security, blockchain is seen as a solution for issues like information delays and asymmetry in traditional supply chains. To address a gap in empirical research, a model incorporating blockchain for information collaboration in supply chain production management was developed using the Stackelberg game model. Furthermore, a consensus decision model aimed at enhancing supply chain collaboration was established within the blockchain network. The article provides an analysis of the factors contributing to the integration of the countries in BRICS and studies the reasons for rising attention of world community to the unit. BRICS is considered as a united organization compared with rest of the world communities (for example with G7) as well as a set of countries with common specifics of development. The author divides the analogies into internal and external. Among internal analogies there are the level of socio-economic development and the political systems. The external analogies include the positions of countries in the structure of international relations, the striving for multipolarity and the emerging role in the world community that means the striving for the promotion of national interests and the similar approaches to peaceful settlement of the international conflicts. The author highlights the actual mechanisms for collaboration between the parties and the future model of cooperation.

Local government administrators have embraced intergovernmental collaboration as a viable alternative in the delivery of public programs for many years, characterizing an increasing emphasis on interlocal cooperation as a response to common problems and situational needs. In the process of collaboration, local governments often use a combination of linking mechanisms, ranging in degrees of formality and specificity. This study longitudinally examines the administrative networks and mutual organizations that comprise the collaborative mechanisms of municipalities in the state of Nebraska. The findings suggest that, over time, the nature and use of interlocal cooperation mechanisms have shifted toward the more informal and general varieties. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
