- Abstract
Background: Religious institutions play a crucial role in health promotion and hold significant influence in the public health field. Aim: The aim of this review is to examine outcomes of health-promoting interventions involving the use of mosques as the intervention venue, its role in promoting health behavior change, and the role of theory in each intervention. Methods: A scoping review was conducted across 17 databases for relevant publications published up to and including August 2023 that involved the use of mosques as the intervention venue. Fourteen articles met inclusion criteria and were reviewed. Results: The studies featured a wide range of interventions. However, only eight of these studies integrated theoretical frameworks into their approaches, indicating a need for more structured guidance in this field. These theoretical frameworks included Participatory Action Research (PAR), the theory of planned behavior, behavior-change constructs, the patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) framework, and prolonged exposure techniques within Islamic principles. The review identified three main health-focused intervention categories: mental health, prevention, and communication, each providing valuable insights into initiatives within Muslim communities. Conclusions: This review underscores the significance of inclusive and culturally sensitive health interventions, emphasizing the effectiveness of faith-based approaches in improving health outcomes, promoting positive health behaviors, and addressing communication and cultural barriers. The reviews findings stress the need for further research that incorporates theoretical frameworks and tailored interventions to meet the specific cultural needs of these communities, ultimately contributing to enhanced well-being within them. The concept of soft power has engendered lively discourse within the international community. The development of a nation's soft power frequently hinges on cultural communication and the promotion of language. This manuscript concentrates on Japan as a case study and undertakes an investigation of the methods it has employed to cultivate its soft power. To accomplish this objective, Japan's strategies for cultural communication and the promotion of the Japanese language are comprehensively examined. From the perspective of language planning, prestige planning of language and culture constitutes a crucial mode of cultural communication, whereas language education planning (or acquisition planning) is the primary method of language promotion. Japan has adeptly disseminated its culture overseas through cultural communication and language promotion. On one hand, it fashions a "cool culture" embodied by anime and manga to augment cultural appeal and amplify national image. On the other hand, it advances the Japanese language abroad by establishing supportive institutions, dispatching experts and volunteers, and creating online teaching materials. Building on Japan, this paper establishes a theoretical framework for the construction of soft power, employing the aforementioned two approaches as valuable guides for research on soft power. The Buddhist culture of the Grand Canal arises from the interaction and dynamic interplay between Grand Canal culture and Buddhist culture. This cultural phenomenon is not merely a simple superimposition of two elements; rather, it represents a unique cultural form that has evolved historically through the intersection of temporal and spatial dimensions. Its connotations can be understood from multiple perspectives, including the ephemerality of time, the dispersion of space, the plurality of types and the intermingling of subject and object. The Buddhist culture of the Grand Canal developed along both sides of the canal and has been historically deposited, embodying an amalgamation of reality and history. Therefore, the study of this culture should not be confined to specific temporal or spatial contexts but should encompass a multidimensional and expansive cultural exploration centred on the Grand Canal. By examining the connection between human excellence and the flow of water within this context, the cultural characteristics of the Buddhist culture of the Grand Canal extend into the cultural flow between the north and south. Here, Buddhist culture serves as the connecting thread, linking, communicating and integrating the spiritual worlds of people across different regions. The scope of research primarily encompasses diverse fields such as Buddhist history, Buddhist thought, cultural relics, social folklore, literature and art. Contribution: This paper emphasises that an in-depth understanding of the connotations and qualities of the Buddhist culture of the Grand Canal is one of the most important ways to correctly understand the culture of the Grand Canal, especially the cross-culture of the Grand Canal and Buddhism, and points out the way in which and the scope of the research should be carried out.

With the continuous change and progress of the world system, cultural communication has become a vital topic in today's society. This study aims to optimize the communication effect of Chinese film in Portuguese-speaking countries and promote the development of cultural communication in China through deep learning (DL) technology. First, this study utilizes DL technology to design film feature recognition and classification models to provide technical support for Chinese film communication. Second, by exploring the principle, development, and function of the digital Internet of Things, the study analyzes the evolution and spread of Chinese film in Portuguese-speaking countries and uses the Bayes algorithm to optimize the model. The results show that the calculation time of the designed model is shorter and the accuracy is higher, which offers an important reference for the effective communication of Chinese films in Portuguese-speaking countries. Hence, this study not only provides technical support for the improvement of the international communication effect of Chinese film but also contributes to the development of cultural communication in China.

COMMUNICATION in sports , *PUBLIC services , *DIGITAL technology , *DIGITAL communications , *ARCHITECTURAL design - Abstract
In recent years, digital public services have evolved rapidly, garnering significant attention within the socio-cultural domain, particularly in the sports sector. A pivotal concern is how to effectively consolidate and disseminate public digital sports resources that are distributed nationwide. Addressing this, our study proposes the architectural design and pivotal technologies for a nationwide public digital sports resource sharing cloud service platform. This platform is specially tailored for the National Sports Center, aiming to enhance the digital engagement of the sports community and promote the open sharing of digital sports resources. By focusing on the sports context, we explore the interaction design principles of an online sports research public service platform from an academic research perspective, aimed at enriching the digital sports experience. Furthermore, we delve into the dynamics of sports communication in the era of big data, analyzing its characteristics, and the internal and external forces influencing these dynamics. The establishment of a robust public data open information platform for the National Sports Center is examined, highlighting the challenges and opportunities it presents for sports communication. This is posited as an effective strategy to navigate the evolving landscape of sports communication in the contemporary era. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

COPPER mining ,GEOGRAPHIC information system software - Abstract
Zahedan city is located in the center of Sistan and Baluchistan province and is one of the areas with copper mines in the south-east of Iran, the surface of which had a lot of scattered metal slags. These sites are based on the study of surface finds related to the middle centuries of Islam. The questions raised in this research are based on: 1) What is the relationship between the distribution pattern of the metallurgical areas of Zahedan city with the environmental resources (mineral resources and fuel resources) and the old communication routes in this area? And 2) What is the relationship between the metallurgical areas of Zahedan city and the population centers of that time such as Sistan, Zahedan, Fahraj and Bam in Kerman province? Therefore, the purpose of this research is to know and why the formation of these ancient metallurgical sites and its relationship with the studied variables in this area. For this reason, the metallurgical areas of Zahedan city were first introduced and then, using the output maps from the GIS software, the distribution pattern of the metallurgical areas was analyzed and identified with the distribution pattern of mineral resources. According to the mentioned studies, it was found that most of the metallurgical areas of the region were highly dependent on copper mines, fuel sources and old communication routes in the region, and often near these mines, fuel sources and communication routes and caravanserais and castles exist between the centers. Bam-Fahraj-Nusrat-Abad-Zahedan-Sistan population has been formed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Intercultural romantic relationships are increasingly common. While past work has focused on how satisfied intercultural couples are compared to monocultural couples, we focus on factors within intercultural relationships that predict partners' relationship quality. We propose that diversity ideologies —people's beliefs about cultural diversity—are one set of factors that influence communication about cultural differences and relationship quality. Across two cross-sectional studies of individuals and one longitudinal study of couples in intercultural relationships (N total = 838), we found that people who endorsed colorblindness —ignored cultural differences—expressed their own culture more but accepted their partner's culture less in the relationship, in turn experiencing mixed relational outcomes. However, participants who endorsed multiculturalism —acknowledged cultural differences and aimed to preserve cultures as distinct—or polyculturalism —recognized cultural differences and viewed cultures as interconnected—expressed their own culture and accepted their partner's culture more and in turn experienced higher relationship quality. Our studies provide the first empirical examination of how diversity ideologies shape the way intercultural couples communicate about their cultural differences and subsequently impact their relationship quality. Based on the theory of language landscape, the study examines the presentation characteristics of the language landscape of the Beijing Winter Olympics through video observation and then summarizes its construction experience, and then further proposes strategies to enhance the language landscape of the events with Chinese characteristics in the future. The study concludes that: at first, the official landscape is dominant, the carrier types are diverse, the modal combinations are pluralistic, and the code layout is standardized, which are the presenting features of the language landscape for the Beijing Winter Olympics. Secondly, the confident and standardized use of language, the in-depth combination of characteristic cultures, and the rich and diversified forms of presentation are the constructive experiences of the language landscape for the Beijing Winter Olympics. And finally, in the future, it should establish and improve the standard norms of language landscape for all kinds of events,so as to promote the understanding and recognition of cultural exchanges; fully exploring the excellent culture of the venue, in order to create a language landscape with local characteristics; and also applying modern high-tech means so as to broaden the channels and forms of language landscape presentation. Change in the paradigm of the documentary heritage also leads to a change in the concept of memory institutions, whereby the most important function of a memory institution becomes active participation in the process of creating the collective memory. Audience engagement is important in this process. Evaluating the reception of documentary heritage communication allows us to assess the involvement of cultural users in cultural communication. Data from a study of the reception of visitors to an exhibition of one of the most important documents to the country’s statehood, the Act of 16 February, conducted using quantitative methods, showed that visitors to the museum where the Act of 16 February was on show rate the exhibition very highly and contribute to its communication in social networks and by oral communication. Recently, content has been found on TikTok where people share their sad stories in the form of music videos. This phenomenon is called sadfishing, which involves fishing for sympathy from others on social media by provoking sadness. This research aims to examine the viral hashtag #rumahkokkayu on TikTok as an initial trigger for the occurrence of sadfishing and to observe the dramatization that emerges from the communication culture surrounding the posts under the #rumahkokkayu hashtag on TikTok. The research utilizes dramatism theory. It is a qualitative study employing netnography as the research method to investigate the communication culture regarding online interactions. Netnography involves four stages: the first stage is investigation, which includes data search, sorting, and archiving; the second stage is interaction; the third stage is note-taking, and the fourth stage is interpretation. The findings of this research indicate that sadfishing has evolved to the extent that it can be visualized in the form of videos deliberately choosing music as background sound and narrating their living conditions. A consistent pattern has been found in subsequent content when these videos receive the sympathy and encouragement they sought. The use of the #rumahkokkayu hashtag constructs the TikTok social media platform and shapes the meaning associated with sadfishing.

This study employs gray system theory to refine the multiple linear regression model, resulting in the development of the gray multiple linear regression method. Utilizing School A as the primary subject, this approach involves gray scaling the intercultural communication skills of college instructors (independent variable) and the effectiveness of Chinese culture dissemination (dependent variable). This transformation aids in resolving the sequence of whitened background values for each variable. This transformation aids in sequencing the whitened background values for each variable. The regression coefficients are then calculated using the Cholesky method to determine the linear correlation between the variables and assess how intercultural communication skills influence cultural dissemination outcomes. The analysis of the influence of college teachers’ intercultural communicative competence on the effect of cultural transmission found that the language competence of college foreign language teachers is related to “attitude toward learning Chinese excellent culture” (0.432) and “whether it is necessary to teach the idea of Chinese excellent culture in the classroom” (0.503) both have significant correlations. The analytical results of this paper provide a reference basis for promoting the wide dissemination of Chinese excellent culture, as well as a direction for improving the cross-cultural communicative competence of foreign language teachers in colleges and universities.

Based on the ADDIE model, this paper designs an innovative dissemination and communication strategy for Chinese opera culture and utilizes a questionnaire to explore the effects of opera culture dissemination and communication after the application of this strategy. The questionnaire is designed from the basic information of the audience, the cognition, attitude, and behavioral level of the opera culture communication, and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire are examined by using Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient method and KMO test and Bartlett’s sphericity test, respectively. The survey results showed that only 16 people were exposed to opera culture for pure entertainment. The mean score of “I learned a lot of knowledge about opera” at the cognitive level is 3.48. In contrast, the mean scores of the audience’s attitude and behavior towards the dissemination of opera culture reach 3.79 and 4.03, respectively, which fully proves the positive application of this paper’s strategy. The innovative dissemination and communication strategy of opera culture constructed in this paper provides an effective path to improve the dissemination effect of opera culture. Also, it provides a reference basis for the inheritance and dissemination of other traditional Chinese cultures.

In this paper, a multimodal phrase corpus is created, enabling phrases to be searched automatically. The phrase structure is constructed through phrase centroids, and multilevel linguistic measurements are obtained for vocabulary, syntax, and parts of speech styles. A joint feature analysis model for the automatic conversion of English-Chinese machine translation is constructed through distributed feature fusion and joint parameter analysis. Linear statistical features and feature analysis detection are utilized to compute the optimal solution for English-Chinese machine automatic translation text. The graph embedding technique was used to pretrain the knowledge graph and obtain information about the network structure. Combined with the graph convolution technique, deep semantic information mining was carried out to achieve efficient content matching and cultural dissemination. It has been proved that the method of this paper has an AUC value of 0.921 and a satisfaction rate between 80% and 95% in English-translated movie data. The proposed method can accurately translate information from English to foreign propaganda content, which further promotes the development of international cultural exchange and communication.

In the late 1990s, the landscape of the Korean film industry underwent a major change as Korean films emerged strongly and swept through Asia and the world with their consumer culture. With the advent of the Internet+ era in the new century, the consumer culture of Korean cinema has changed dramatically. In order to study the impact of the Internet+ era on Korean film consumption culture clearly, this paper analyzes the change in Korean film genres with the Internet trend and the distribution of the Korean film industry in the Internet+ era through Internet information dissemination model and personalized recommendation algorithm. From 2012 to 2021, the main genres of Korean movies changed from romance, drama, and war movies to crime, action, and disaster movies. Among them, the average share of war films reached 11.20%. The average share of disaster films reached 11.11%. The average share of action films is 10.88%. The average share of drama films was 10.97%. In terms of the film industry, the market share of local Korean films has always been able to keep from being surpassed by imported films after surpassing them. 2013 saw the largest gap between imported and local films, with a difference of 19.4 percentage points. In the Internet+ era, audience psychology, consumer demand, and business models have had a profound impact on the consumer culture of Korean films, not only changing the traditional layout of the Korean film market but also allowing film creators to consciously or unconsciously introduce new consumer culture themes in line with the Internet public.

Paul Celan is present on the Internet not only where knowledge of his work might still be expected—in poetry, music, and visual art. Celan references can also be found in song lyrics and album titles of various bands, crime novels, and fantasy prose. He seems to provide users on Twitter and other social media the material for their account names, and companies not only in German-speaking countries use his poems for their names. This article provides an overview of these references that helps us understand the status of Celan's vocabulary in the context of current appropriations. A special focus of this essay is the role of references to his famous poem "Todesfuge" on political pages and in song lyrics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Heritage responsibility in cultural communication has gotten minimal scholarly study and may face additional challenges as a result of discourses of heritage dissonance. Through the lens of the combination of critical heritage studies and communication science on a sample of residents in the heritage site of Genglubu, Tanmen, China, this study critically analyses the heterogeneity of residents' heritage responsibilities in the process of heritage cultural communication (divided into two dimensions: environmental and psychological), under the interaction between the official discourse and vernacular discourse. Combined with 284 respondents' questionnaires and 65 in-depth interviews, this study has shown that: (a) residents were exposed to Genglubu heritage culture primarily through communication space, followed by media space and physical space; (b) four groups of residents were identified using two-step cluster analysis. In order of numbers, they were heritage value approvers, indifferents, qualified heritage protectors, and active heritage protectors. We argue that heritage practices dominated by authorised heritage discourse (AHD) suppress community voices. Although most Tanmen residents recognise heritage value, they fail to benefit from it, resulting in a lack of heritage responsibility. The findings of this study may provide some insights into how to ensure effective community involvement in heritage conservation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
There are accepted academic traditions about how data is visually represented, most often in the form of graphs, tables and maps. To visually represent the findings of a study about quilt makers in New Zealand and be congruent with the research topic, the researcher made a quilt to represent the findings. While much of the existing research about quilts focuses on the analysis of meaning, this article is about encoding meaning in a quilt. The article describes the processes of design and making which drew on a diverse range of quilt making traditions and forms of data representation exemplified by the theory of social semiotics. Quilt design decisions were informed by pattern, symbolism and fabric choice and drew on traditions where quilts have been made to convey information such as quilts as signs for escaping slaves on the underground railroad, storytelling tivaevae quilts from the Cook Islands, and the contemporary temperature quilts where daily high and low temperatures are recorded. Data is also communicated in traditional ways such as through graphs made from fabric. This article describes the process of conceptualizing the design and includes photographs of the finished work. Against the backdrop of historical communicative actions, the news is the outcome of knowledge in the reality of everyday life. The homo sociological communication model consists of behaviors that refer to collective norms and values, especially laws that declare a requirement, a social order which is then ensured by normative conventions. Through actors and cultural symbols, social action, transcendence, and objectivity become communication acts in the form of news framing. The State Capital or Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) has been the subject of news in the media. This study then aimed to determine news context on the unity of land and water (Tanah dan Air) as a metaphor for the State Capital's relocation from Jakarta to East Kalimantan Alfred Schutz's Communicative Action theory. POWER (Social sciences) , *CHINESE language , *MODERN civilization , *INTERNATIONAL communication , *STORYTELLING - Abstract
In the long and splendid process of civilization development, China has many vivid stories and epic practices, as well as outstanding writers, artists and other talents. From the perspective of international cultural communication, Chinese culture should return to the basic question of "what kind of Chinese story to tell and what kind of Chinese image to create" from the perspectives of who will spread it, through what media, and what to spread, so that we can understand what to communicate and how to communicate. Based on this, it is proposed that the return of Chinese stories and Chinese images is essentially a return to daily life, tracing back to tradition and inheritance, and showing Chinese stories and the ideological power and spiritual core behind them. First, it should be based on the cultural connotation of Chinese traditional consciousness and contemporary value, based on Chinese discourse and Chinese narrative system; The second is the expression of Chinese stories beyond the "language limitation", allowing traditional culture to return to daily life; the third is the "self-molding" of Chinese image in international cultural communication, rejecting narrow Western centrism, and reflecting on modern civilization to maintain traditional feelings; Finally, discussing the future development of Chinese image and Chinese stories entering a new stage of communication from the perspective of international cultural communication. The pond paddy field model was mainly unearthed from the Han tombs in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province, Sichuan and Chongqing Provinces, Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces, Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces, and there are some regional differences in the internal characteristics of these models. It is found that their distribution in the southwest China and south of the Five Ridges were point-like distributed nearby the Han people’s settlement areas and strip-like distributed along the main traffic roads. Moreover, the propagation of the inter-regional model went through at least two stages, namely, the early and later ones, and the Sichuan, Chongqing were the center, connecting the whole transmission chain of the pond paddy field model.
