In the current study, second-grade micropolar nanofluid flow past an exponential curved Riga sheet in the presence of Cattaneo–Christov double diffusion is studied. The slip impacts are considered. The model of governing equations in PDE’s (Partial Differential Equations) form is formulated because of the boundary layer approximation. The suitable transformations of similarity variables are defined to implement the approach of Lie symmetry method to change the set of formulated PDE’s into ODE’s. Then bvp4c scheme is adopted to numerically describe the dimensionless expressions of ODE’s. The influences of involving physical factors on the velocity, microrotation, temperature, and concentration distributions are plotted with the help of graphical figures. Numerical findings of involved parametric impacts against physically interested quantities which are skin friction, couple stress, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are comprehensively described in tabular format. A comparison with the literature work is also conducted to check the validity of modeled problem. The values of velocity are found to be diminishing by an increment of second-grade parameter. The values of shear thickening increased and fluid viscosity enlarged but the increment of second-grade parameter ultimately fluid velocity reduced at Riga stretching curved sheet.

The investigation of thermal transport in the nanofluid over a curved Riga surface is significant and extensively used in many industries as well as in engineering. Therefore, the study is conducted to analyze the thermal transport rate in H2O composed of nanomaterial, namely, carbon nanotubes (CNTs). To improve the thermal conductance, a thermal conductivity correlation based on the length and radius of CNTs is plugged in the energy equation. After that, the flow model was reduced into a self-similar form via feasible transformations and tackled numerically. From the plotted results, it is experienced that the nanofluid velocity drops against a more curved surface. The momentum boundary layer intensifies against larger curvature. An enhanced temperature is experienced in the nanofluid due to varying the parameters. Further, thermal conductivity of the nanofluids rises due to the high volume fraction factor, which plays a significant role in thermal transport. This paper investigates the phenomena of heat transfer and entropy generation on time-dependent electro-magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of viscous fluid past a curved oscillatory stretchable Riga surface. Also, the impacts of thermal radiation and Joule heating are accounted for in the energy equation. To develop the flow model in mathematical form, curvilinear coordinates system is followed. The series solution of the governing nonlinear partial differential equations is attained with the help of the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The impacts of various involved parameters like dimensionless radius of curvature, modified magnetic parameter, the proportion of frequency of oscillation of the sheet to its stretchable rate parameter, magnetic parameter, Prandtl number, Eckert number, radiation parameter and Brinkman number on entropy generation, Bejan number, temperature and flow equations are comprehensively examined and results are displayed through graphs. Numerical variation in the magnitude of surface drag force and local Nusselt number under the influence of aforesaid parameters are presented through the tables. Entropy generation is enhanced with an enhancement in a radius of curvature and Brinkman number, while the Bejan number shows opposite behavior for both parameters. The flow of nanofluid over a curved Riga surface is a topic of interest in the field of fluid dynamics. A literature survey revealed that the impacts of freezing temperature and the diameter of nanoparticles on the heat transfer over a curved Riga surface have not been examined so far. Therefore, the flow of nanoparticles, which comprises the influences of freezing temperature and nanoparticle diameter in the energy equation, was modeled over a curved Riga surface. The model was reduced successfully in the nondimensional version by implementing the feasible similarity transformations and effective models of nanofluids. The coupled nonlinear model was then examined numerically and highlighted the impacts of various flow quantities in the flow regimes and heat transfer, with graphical aid. It was examined that nanofluid velocity dropped by increasing the flow parameters γ and S, and an abrupt decrement occurred at the surface of the Riga sheet. The boundary layer region enhances for larger γ. The temperature distribution was enhanced for a more magnetized nanofluid, and the thermal boundary layer increased with a larger R parameter. The volume fraction of the nanoparticles favors the effective density and dynamic viscosity of the nanofluids. A maximum amount of heat transfer at the surface was observed for a more magnetized nanofluid.
