Content shared on social media platforms is increasingly centred on images and conversations discussing television on digital platforms are also influenced by this trend. This article examines the visual data posted by viewers while watching the 2019 edition of the Spanish and British adaptations of the international Reality Show 'The Voice'. With the sample including images posted by viewers on Twitter during the broadcast of the episodes, the production formats, the type of content, the purpose of the images and the connection between the visual data and the text in the tweet have been analysed. The results highlight three different trends: the parallel visual narrative created by viewers on Twitter through the use of digital culture, the showcasing of their private sphere and the appropriation of images from the television episodes altering the discourse presented by the broadcasters. El contenido compartido en las redes sociales se focalizacada vez más en las imágenes y las conversaciones sobre televisión en las plataformas digitales también se han vistoinfluenciadas por esta tendencia. Este artículo examina los datos visuales publicados por los espectadores mientras ven la edición de 2019 de las adaptaciones española y británica del reality show internacional 'The Voice'. Con la muestra de imágenes publicadas por los espectadores en Twitter durante la emisión de los episodios, se han analizado los formatos de producción, el tipo de contenido, la finalidad de las imágenes y la conexión entre los datos visuales y el texto del tuit. Los resultados destacan tres tendencias diferentes: la narrativa visual paralela creada por los espectadores en Twitter a través del uso de la cultura digital, la exhibición de su esfera privada y la apropiación de imágenes de los episodios televisivos alterando el discurso presentado por los canales de televisión

Hacia el año 1899, Pietro Gori emprendió, junto a Juan Vucetich, un viaje de estudio a la Penitenciaría de Sierra Chica con el objetivo de estudiar al sistema carcelario de la Argentina y a la población allí recluida. Los resultados fueron publicados en Criminalogía Moderna (1898-1901), revista que Gori dirigió en su estadía en Buenos Aires, en una sección titulada Estudios Carcelarios. En el presente artículo propongo indagar en clave teórico-metodológica dicha sección; más concretamente, mi interés radica en describir de qué maneras fueron construidos los datos que refieren a las distintas características de la Penitenciaría y de los penados., Towards the year 1899, Pietro Gori undertook, together with Juan Vucetich, a study trip to the Penitenciaría de Sierra Chica with the aim of studying the prison system of Argentina and the detained population there. Ausgehend von der für die Grounded-Theory-Methodologie (GTM) zentralen Prämisse des "all is data" und vor dem Hintergrund zunehmender Beschäftigung mit visuellen Daten in der qualitativen Forschung, bietet der Beitrag einen orientierenden Rahmen für eine visuelle Grounded-Theory-Methodologie. Aufbauend auf Überlegungen aus der objektiven Hermeneutik, der dokumentarischen Methode, der Segmentanalyse sowie GTM-internen Perspektiven wird gezeigt, wie dieser traditionell textorientierte Ansatz auf visuelle Daten bezogen werden kann. RESUMEN Este trabajo describe el proceso creativo de elaboración de un ensayo audiovisual y explora su valor como informe de una investigación educativa en curso. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es documentar un proyecto de I+D+i, explorando a su vez las posibilidades del uso de datos audiovisuales en el ámbito de la investigación educativa. Para ello, se ha documentado la experiencia desarrollada por los equipos mixtos de trabajo, compuestos por investigadores de la Universidad y de los centros educativos, durante el curso 2012/2013 en varios centros de Cantabria en las etapas de infantil y primaria. Este trabajo explora, por tanto, las posibilidades de la utilización de diferentes sistemas semióticos en la producción de resultados de investigación. Por un lado, se ha empleado el lenguaje verbal para relatar la experiencia de investigación individual para el desarrollo del ensayo mientras que, por el otro, se ha utilizado el audiovisual para narrar las principales características, retos, etc. del proyecto de investigación documentado. ABSTRACT This paper describes the creative process of making an audiovisual essay and explores its value as an ongoing educational investigation report. The main objective of this paper is to document an R&D&I project, in turn exploring the possibilities of using audiovisual data in the field of educational research. To do this, the experience developed by mixed groups composed of researchers has been documented from the University and schools during the 2012/2013 academic year in several centers in Cantabria on stages of nursery and primary. This paper explores therefore the possibilities of the use of different semiotic systems in the production of research results. On one hand, we used the verbal language to relate the experience of individual research for the development of this essay while on the other, audiovisual has been used to narrate the main features, challenges, etc. of the documented research project. Hinsichtlich der Besonderheit des Visuellen sollte beachtet werden, dass alle auf Fotografien bezogenen Interpretationen besonderen Aufwand erfordern. "Etwas ansehen" bedeutet "gerahmt sein durch", und das bezieht diejenigen mit ein, die die Bilder machen und die von den Betrachter/innen mit gesehen werden. Für die Sozialwissenschaften bieten Bilder sowohl persönliche Einsichten wie auch mit persönlichen Erfahrungen versehene Belege sozialer und räumlicher Beziehungen. Deswegen können Fragen gestellt werden wie: "Welche Muster kehren im Laufe der Zeit wieder?", "Wie sind soziale Vorgänge organisiert?" oder "Welche Rolle spielen Gefühle im gesellschaftlichen Leben?" Das sind die Fragen, zu deren Auflösung die Analyse visueller Daten beitragen kann. Es sollte hinzugefügt werden, dass sich die methodologische Diskussion nicht nur auf die Datenerzeugung und die Datenanalyse richten sollte, sondern auch darauf, wie Forschungsergebnisse mitgeteilt werden können. Einige dieser Fragen können bspw. durch kontrollierte Foto-Beobachtungen oder durch Foto-Elizitierung angegangen werden. Der vorliegende Artikel beschreibt die Methode des Fotointerviews und stellt praktische Erfahrungen aus einem partizipatorischen inter- und transdisziplinären Forschungssetting dar. Er zeigt, dass sich das Fotointerview in der Nachhaltigkeits- und Umweltforschung bewährt hat, wo lokale Bevölkerung eingebunden war und einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Forschung lieferte. Ausgehend von Forschungserfahrungen in verschiedenen Ländern beschreibt und analysiert die Autorin den Fotointerviewprozess und seinen Einfluss auf das Datenmaterial. Dieser wird in drei Phasen beschrieben: Beteiligen von Forschungspartner/innen, Mitteilen und Teilen von Ergebnissen zwischen Forscher/innen und nichtwissenschaftlichen Partner/innen, Analysieren und Interpretieren von Daten. In der ersten Phase des Fotointerviewprozesses wird die Methode eingesetzt, um Beteiligte aus verschiedenen Gesellschaftsschichten in den Forschungsprozess einzubinden. The photo interview has proven particularly useful for sustainability and environmental studies in which eliciting community points of view is crucial to the research effort. Based on experiences in several countries, the author describes and analyses the photo interview process and its three phases—involving, sharing and analysing—and explores potential influences on data quality. In the first phase, researchers use the photo interview method to involve community residents from different levels of society in the research process. In the second phase, the photo interview method encourages community residents and scientists to share insights and perspectives and to partner in developing a common understanding of local structures, processes, and possible solutions. In the third phase, the photo interview method allows researchers to analyse visual and textual data as a representation of a local societal context. In decoding images, researchers ground the analysis in subjective perspectives, use residents' visual codes along with other methods to further analyse community data, and explore the wider societal context in which the study is embedded. La entrevista fotográfica se ha mostrado especialmente útil en estudios de sustentabilidad y medio ambiente en los que suscitar los puntos de vista comunitarios es crucial en la tarea de investigación. Basado en experiencias en diferentes países, la autora describe y analiza el proceso de entrevista fotográfica y sus tres fases – involucrar, compartir y analizar – y explora su potencial influencia sobre la calidad de los datos. En la primera fase los investigadores emplean el método de la entrevista fotográfica para involucrar en el proceso de investigación a residentes de la comunidad de diferentes procedencias sociales. En la segunda fase el método de la entrevista fotográfica estimula a residentes y científicos a compartir reflexiones y perspectivas y a desarrollar conjuntamente una comprensión de las estructuras, procesos locales y posibles soluciones. En la tercera fase, el método de la entrevista fotográfica permite a los investigadores analizar los datos visuales y textuales como una representación de un contexto local societal.
