Energy is one of the most important elements for countries to exist in the competitive market in social, economic, technological and international areas. With the developing technology and increasing energy consumption, the importance of energy efficiency comes to the fore. In this context, the automotive industry, which is an important part of the industrial sector where energy is used intensively, was preferred in the study. Besides the automotive industry's need for energy, its interaction with other industries is the reason for preference. In the study, Energy Efficiency Strategy criterion weights in the Automotive Industry were calculated by using Multi-Criteria Decision Making methods. As a result of the literature research, nine main criteria and thirty-three sub-criteria were determined. The criteria weights of the Energy Efficiency Strategy in the automotive industry are analyzed separately with AHP, which is frequently used in the literature, and BEST & WORST, which is newly introduced to the literature. Comparing the solution results of the two methods is the aim of the study. In the light of the results obtained, it has been determined that the AHP and BEST & WORST methods give close results.

This study aims to investigate the application of green banking on the tendency for efficiency in banking companies. This study designs green banking using serial logic from green accounting, green innovation, and green technology in its tendency to increase company efficiency. Furthermore, stakeholders strongly influence the creation of an ethical company with three pillar objectives: social, environmental, and economic. This study explores banking companies because they are unique in their position as economic drivers but are required to be able to have an impact on society and the environment. This study uses existing banking data in Indonesia in the 2015-2021 range, which produces 231 observational data. This research found that banking companies can implement the three pillars, which include social, environmental, and economic, by encouraging stakeholders. Furthermore, in its position as an economic driver, banks will make efficiency in their budget costs so that the economic pillars are maintained without leaving the social and environmental pillars. Finally, this research has implications for the role of stakeholders who can encourage the implementation of green banking and strategies for implementing green banking for the banking industry.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) network readiness competency improves service quality and provides efficient service in implementing successful e-governments. By confirming ICT network readiness of e-governments, it must be redesigned using limited resources effectively to achieve realistic goals. When ICT investment and economic performance are featured, e-government's network readiness competency improves potential demand, supply, and service maturity. It reflects information technology (IT) development competency on performance effectively. In this study, we propose the Data Envelope Analysis (DEA) method to present a method of improving ICT network readiness between countries. We derived the ICT network's readiness competency level and strategic plan by comparing each country for efficient ICT operation of e-governments. If we make rankings in a non-traditional and efficient manner, it will become a successful strategy for ICT in the future. This effort provides guidance for each government and a solution for the growth delay problem, which is required for advancement in ICT investment and productivity. Studies of the phenomena known as the “rebound effect,” “backfire,” and the “Jevons Paradox” have cast doubt on the effectiveness, in terms of reduction of energy use, of measures based on efficiency gains. Some of them have shown that efficiency improvements are less effective than expected, others have lent strength to the hypothesis that efficiency improvements are counterproductive in the long run. The difference between the two groups is thus all but negligible. Moreover, it is of considerable pragmatic significance as it may undermine the foundations of solid expectations that had led to ongoing systems and repertoires of action. In this paper we provide a model about the hypothesis that the expectations related to the effects that efficiency gains have on energy and resource consumption may exacerbate the rebound effect and that they prevent alternative strategies, that may turn out to be more effective in reducing energy and resource use, to be enacted. In the concluding paragraph, we propose possibilities for further hypothesis and empirical research that could lead to the refinement of the model.

Commercialization strategy is an all-encompassing plan that organizes technology transfer office goals to commercialize a university’s technologies. Measurement strategy requires feasible variables that make up those goals. This strategy also ensures that all variables that are important in measuring contribute to the larger goals. A useful way to assess and explain the effectiveness of the technology transfer office (TTO) of universities is to model this within a production function/frontier framework. Such a production function is typically estimated econometrically. This study presents evidence on the relative efficiency of research commercialization in the university through the data envelopment analysis (DEA) model. The implication of the DEA efficiency result is to derive the efficiency level of the TTO’s strategy from the observed performance. It also helps in identifying the benchmarking of other TTOs, which would be valuable information for improving their new technology commercialization strategy. In detail, a benchmark is provided to improve the weakness of strategy and resource allocation of a poorly performing TTO. The proposed matrix of indicators is an exploit of how performance could be measured within the decision-making units that have been chosen. By introducing the measure to commercialization strategy framework the development of technology transfer offices policies are considered.

Third sector partnerships are under pressure to change in the light of the increasing cost pressures on local public services. The literature throws doubt on the level of economies of scale and suggests that more attention should be given to economies of scope and learning. The common conflation of economies of size with economies of scale has led policymakers to overemphasize larger scale providers and has distorted the strategies which third sector organizations have adopted, pushing them towards mergers and consortia based on scale.
