Abstract

Journal of high energy physics 06(6), 137 (2021). doi:10.1007/JHEP06(2021)137, We report the first measurement of the exclusive cross sections e$^{+}$e$^{���}$ ��� $ B\overline{B} $, e$^{+}$e$^{���}$ ��� $ B{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $, and e$^{+}$e$^{���}$ ��� $ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $ in the energy range from 10.63 GeV to 11.02 GeV. The B mesons are fully reconstructed in a large number of hadronic final states and the three channels are identified using a beam-constrained-mass variable. The shapes of the exclusive cross sections show oscillatory behavior with several maxima and minima. The results are obtained using data collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e$^{+}$e$^{���}$ collider.[graphic not available: see fulltext], Published by SISSA, [Trieste]

Abstract

doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.105.012004, We report the first direct measurement of the inclusive branching fraction $\mathcal B (B_s \to D_sX)$ via $B_s$ tagging in $e^+e^��� ��� ��(5S)$ events. Tagging is accomplished through a partial reconstruction of semileptonic decays $B_s ��� D_sX�����$, where X denotes unreconstructed additional hadrons or photons and $���$ is an electron or muon. With 121.4 fb$^{���1}$ of data collected at the $��(5S)$ resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^���$ collider, we obtain $\mathcal B (B_s \to D_sX)=(60.2��5.8��2.3)%$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

Physical review / D 106(1), 012003 (2022). doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.106.012003, We search for a new gauge boson $Z'$ that couples only to heavy leptons and their corresponding neutrinos in the process $e^{+} e^{-} \rightarrow Z'(\rightarrow \mu^{+}\mu^{-}) \mu^{+}\mu^{-}$, using a 643 fb$^{-1}$ data sample collected by the Belle experiment at or near the $\Upsilon(1S,2S,3S,4S,5S)$ resonances at the KEKB collider. For the first time, effects due to initial state radiation are used in estimating the detection efficiency. No signal is observed in the mass range of $0.212-10$ $GeV/{\it c}^2$ and we set an upper limit on the coupling strengh, $g'$, constraining $Z'$ as a possible contributor to the anomalous magnetic dipole moment of muon., Published by Inst., Melville, NY

Abstract

Physical review / D 104(1), 012007 (2021). doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.104.012007, We report the first search for the penguin-dominated process $B_{s}^{0} \rightarrow \eta^{\prime} X_{s\bar{s}}$ using a semi-inclusive method. A 121.4 fb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity $��$(5S) data set collected by the Belle experiment, at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider, is used. Abstract

We report searches for the processes $e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\chi_{bJ}$ and $e^+e^-\to\phi\chi_{bJ}$ (J=1,2) based on data samples collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB collider. We report the first observation of the process $e^+e^-\to (\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)_{\rm non-\omega}\chi_{b1}$ and first evidence for $e^+e^-\to\omega\chi_{bJ}$ in the vicinity of the $\Upsilon(11020)$ resonance, with center-of-mass energies from 10.96 to 11.05~GeV. The significances for $(\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)_{\rm non-\omega}\chi_{b1}$ and $\omega\chi_{bJ}$ are greater than $5.3\sigma$ and $4.0\sigma$, respectively. We also investigate the energy dependence of the $e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\chi_{bJ}$ cross section, but we cannot determine whether the contributions are from the $\Upsilon(10860)$ and $\Upsilon(11020)$ resonances or non-resonant continuum processes. The signals for $e^+e^-\to \phi\chi_{bJ}$ are not significant, and the upper limits of the Born cross sections at the 90\% confidence level are $0.7$ and $1.0$~pb for $e^+e^-\to \phi\chi_{b1}$ and $\phi\chi_{b2}$, respectively, for center-of-mass energies from 10.96 to 11.05~GeV., Comment: 8pages, 3 figures

We have searched for the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $\Lambda_c^+\to\phi p\pi^0$ in $e^+e^-$ collisions using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 915 $\rm fb^{-1}$. Abstract

We report the result from the first search for $D^0$ decays to invisible final states. The analysis is performed on a data sample of 924 $\rm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at and near the $\Upsilon(4S)$ and $\Upsilon(5S)$ resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The absolute branching fraction is determined using an inclusive $D^0$ sample, obtained by fully reconstructing the rest of the particle system including the other charmed particle. No significant signal yield is observed and an upper limit of $9.4\times 10^{-5}$ is set on the branching fraction of $D^0$ to invisible final states at 90\% confidence level., Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures, submitted to PRD(RC)

Abstract

We report a study of the decay $D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S$ using 921~fb$^{-1}$ of data collected at or near the $\Upsilon(4S)$ and $\Upsilon(5S)$ resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The measured time-integrated CP asymmetry is $ A_{CP}(D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S) = (-0.02 \pm 1.53 \pm 0.02 \pm 0.17) \%$ and the branching fraction is $\mathcal{B} (D^{0}\rightarrow K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0})$ = (1.32 $\pm$ 0.02 $\pm$ 0.04 $\pm$ 0.04) $\times$ 10$^{-4}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the normalization mode ($D^0 \to K_S^0 \pi^0$) used in the analysis. These results are significantly more precise than previous measurements for this mode. The $A_{CP}$ measurement is consistent with the Standard Model expectation.

Abstract

We have searched for the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $\Lambda_c^+\to\phi p\pi^0$ in $e^+e^-$ collisions using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 915 $\rm fb^{-1}$. The data were collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ asymmetric-energy collider running at or near the $\Upsilon(4S)$ and $\Upsilon(5S)$ resonances. No significant signal is observed, and we set an upper limit on the branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+\to \phi p\pi^0)

Abstract

We report a study of the decay $D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S$ using 921~fb$^{-1}$ of data collected at or near the $\Upsilon(4S)$ and $\Upsilon(5S)$ resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The measured time-integrated $CP$ asymmetry is $ A_{CP}(D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S) = (-0.02 \pm 1.53 \pm 0.02 \pm 0.17) \%$, and the branching fraction is $\mathcal{B} (D^{0}\rightarrow K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0})$ = (1.321 $\pm$ 0.023 $\pm$ 0.036 $\pm$ 0.044) $\times$ 10$^{-4}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the normalization mode ($D^0 \to K_S^0 \pi^0$). These results are significantly more precise than previous measurements available for this mode.
