This article analyzes how the poetry collection Susy, secretos del corazón (1989) by the Argentinian poet, playwright and cultural manager Susana Villalba (Buenos Aires, 1956) establishes a critical dialogue with the comic strip of the same name, published in the sixties and seventies in Latin America. The collection of poems also engages in dialogue with other cultural references through an enunciative process that reveals the social constructs aiming to define and establish femininity. The critical stance of the text becomes evident as it illuminates how the experience of romantic love in women is codified. At the discursive level, from the use of textual mechanisms related to collage and pastiche, an open, mobile, multiple, playful poetic voice is generated-it unfolds to reveal the role of social factors in the construction of subjectivity. Abstract This article examines the history of synchronized swimming in Ontario, with a specific focus on Peterborough, between the 1920s and the 1950s. Two factors explain the rise and consolidation of “synchro” as a women’s sport in the period. The first factor relates to earlier changes in women’s sport in the interwar period, alongside the rise of modern hegemonic beauty culture. As synchro struggled for official recognition, coaches and swimmers embraced feminine beauty constructs to generate popularity for their sport. The second factor relates to the nationalistic approach to sport development in the 1940s and 1950s. Financial and ideological investment in sport as important for national health and physical fitness allowed synchro to grow and flourish. As exemplified by the Peterborough club, these two factors allowed Canadian women to play a formative role in the national and international development of synchro as a sport to produce fit and beautiful bodies.

- Abstract
This work is part of our master's research, which has proposed to investigate, from narratives of black women, the perceptions and meanings of their experiences as women, as well as to identify the markers of the difference in their experiences around femininity and what makes a black woman experience femininity in her own way. We rely on the methodological perspective of psychoanalytic research on social and political phenomena, understanding that our issue stems from a political-social impasse, which has been examined from the transferential relationship and the inseparability between theory, clinic and research. We have used the interview resource as an instrument for the production of analysis material. Thus, we have interviewed three black women, which were invited to share their stories and experiences as women. From the theoretical debate and from the material that have raised in the interviews, it was possible to identify the complexities of the process of becoming woman and black, from the markers scattered through the social bond, as it has subjective specificities. Furthermore, thinking about the meaning of the symbols used by black women and relying on another black woman to present these elements are directions that can impact these women's experience of femininity. In this article titled "Truly Victoria: A journey towards her origins," the author Virginia Lárez Cotúa examines the sources of identity construction in a psychoanalytic process through the analysis of an adult patient named Victoria. The analysis of the patient is reviewed through the transference and countertransference movements that occur in the analytic process and reveal the construction of identity through the analysis of her origins with the analyst. The importance of emotional and physical support provided by the mother for the baby to acquire their own singularity and become an independent subject is highlighted. Additionally, the importance of internal space and the mother's capacity for containment in the construction of female identity is mentioned. The text also addresses the relationship between the analyst and the patient and the importance of establishing boundaries in the analytic process. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the analysis of origins can provide the patient with a sense of continuity and structure in their psyche. [Extracted from the article]

The main objective of this qualitative and quantitative research paper is to explore the occurrences and relations of the anima, animus and androgynous in dreams, with particular emphasis on the consideration of the androgynous in the human psyche. The sample consists of 9 series of dreams (141 dreams in total), from 9 dreamers, 7 women (female sex/gender) and 2 men (male sex/gender), aged 25–57, heterosexual, undergoing Jungian psychotherapy, and presenting couple‐related themes. Statistical results and qualitative analysis offer new input for the re‐vision of the classical anima‐animus model, and the addition of in‐depth explorations into the androgynous, paving the way for a new model of psychopathology and psychotherapeutic clinical work, in transition.

This article analyzes the importance of textile work carried out by women in ancient Greece. Some Homeric passages in the article will be used to guide the recognition of the concept of thinking hands, where a theoretical/hands-on activity can transmit powerful unspoken messages from the vulnerability of the feminine that, contrary to what might traditionally be thought, have a political dimension. To do so, the article will proceed in three sections. In the first, the way in which the Greek world saw manual work as an intellectual exercise will be shown; in the second, we will review how fabric is understood from the human point of view and the way in which Athena is a symbol of the textile that covers the human. In the third, we breakdown the practice of weaving as an ideal way of vindicating the female figure. The article closes by showing this practice prevails today. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper aims to develop one of the findings of the doctoral research "Representations of the body during pregnancy: the experience of the gestating body in primigravidae". The expression "gestating body" is proposed as a concept to name feminine corporal materiality where it takes place, through pregnancy, the dispute between the patriarchal ideals of femininity, women's ego ideal, and the gazes of otherness embodied by other women. The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the relational dance project The poetics of pleasantness, considering that this creative process and the product constitute an artifact of feminine resignification and a personal transformative rite, given that this scenic proposal elaborates with criticism on pleasantness as a mandate of hegemonic femininity. We propose that this initiative is inserted in the recent feminist approaches about care, the need for personal deconstruction and the formation of an affective community among women. Based on a qualitative methodology, the video art of the work as the interviews with the participants in the project are analyzed. The conclusions suggest that the symbolic efficacy of the scenic proposal resides in its congruence with feminist stakes and in the representation of a feminine ethos built collectively during the creation process. The present study problematizes gender relations in Higher Education from the dichotomies between femininities and masculinities. Of qualitative approach, the production of narratives occurred through semi-structured individual interviews in three undergraduate courses at the University of Pernambuco, Petrolina Campus: Full Degree in Pedagogy, Full Degree in Mathematics and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. In general, the production of data from the research points to the dissonances and processes of exclusion that cross the institutional daily life, the teaching and the curricula of the courses studied, regarding the maintenance of practices marked by sexism, binarisms and heteronormative patterns in the university. Higher education, according to the narratives analyzed, reproduces gender inequities that have hegemonic models of femininity and masculinity as the foundation for the maintenance of discourses and power mechanisms that have repercussions, especially in the experiences and formative processes of women and LGBTQIAP+ people. Introduction. Sexism is a cognitive and behavioral pattern in which the male figure attributes to the female characters that reflect vulnerability and helplessness around all dimensions of development. Although this is a topic on international agendas, few are the academic studies aimed at investigating its presence in school pedagogical materials. Objective. The objective of this work is to analyze the academic books of language and social sciences linked to the academic proposal that offer a sample of public and private educational institutions belonging to the Colombian Caribbean sector (Cartagena de Indias) under the purpose of identifying possible sexist elements such as, for example, the predominance of male roles over female ones. Materials and method. Eight elementary and lower secondary school textbooks from the 2020-2021 period were selected from official and private educational institutions. An analysis of illustrations was carried out using an image reception matrix and a quantitative analysis using gender indicators. Results. The results indicate a survival of sexist standards in seven of the eight books analyzed, highlighting the imbalance in the number of female illustrations, and indicators of presence and relevance in relation to the male gender. Conclusions. The findings obtained invite the educational community to review in greater detail the illustrations that they attach to the curricular content offered in their schoolbooks, given that the disproportion observed promotes the sexist imaginary and the notion of helplessness in the female student community. 35.

- Abstract
Research about the feminine essence is a fundamental task in our time. However, it is an effort that has fallen into disrepute because it does not take into account women's individual differences and contribute to the female submission. Especially, through the formation of stereotyped images. In this article we will study Edith Stein's conferences on women, and some of her anthropological studies, with the intention of approaching an understanding that unites the feminine essence with action and manifests her intrinsic unity with individuality. Stein is convinced that every woman has a triple vocation: on a human, feminine and individual level that must be developed in an integral and complementary way. However, this will only be possible if she recognizes the metaphysical -Christian- order on which her being depends. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The usual characteristics of anorexia nervosa -- starvation, emaciation, amenorrhea -- justify that it be considered, from a psychopathological point of view, much more as a "clinic of the object" than as an "eating dysfunction" or a "disorder of body representation." In fact, this highlights not only the fact that food presents the "object of desire" in the form of "nothing," but also the fact that if the body of the anorectic subject is consumed, it is because it is the seat of a specific jouissance of the feminine position, an "Other jouissance," which it paradoxically contributes to containing and pacifying. The objective of this Metasynthesis study is to provide scientific evidence by combining knowledge, based on the selection of previous studies that collect results about the processes of gender subjectivation and their link with the genesis of psychosomatic processes. From the methodological point of view, this study is carried out using the PRISMA method. Articles that address the subject are analysed, offering a detailed summary, of which the complete article will be used as the Unit of Analysis. Due to the current state of knowledge on the subject, it is considered pertinent to include in the sample articles related to the research object that, although they do not specifically address the research problem, offer theoretical arguments and data on the subject. Articles in Spanish will be selected. On the other hand, articles to which it is not possible to access the full content free are not included. Results: have been searched. 8 AU were selected, coming from the Google Scholar and Redalyc databases. The results found indicate that the processes of construction of ideals in the constitution of the feminine and masculine subjectivities are inscribed in the subjects (through culture, language and a complex web of meanings), these are so subtle that they reach make it difficult to oppose or even challenge it. This means that it is only possible to express this discomfort through somatic vulnerability. Traits of over adaptation towards generic ideals are observed, a mechanism highly associated with the genesis of psychosomatic disorders. It is concluded that the subject is constituted in the link, and in the exchange traces are inscribed, both in his body and in his process of subjectivation. The body is not exclusively determined by biology or culture. This interaction occurs within a cultural and symbolic context, where the ways of raising and existing social representations in the culture are building particular styles of gender subjectivity. Mechanisms that promote modes of connection with one's own body and particular ways of becoming ill are inscribed in this process of subjectivation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This work aimed to analyze the possible meanings of the feminine from the character Cersei from the Game of Thrones series. The psychoanalytic method was used, through the techniques of psychoanalytic observation, clinical diary, and reading directed by listening and transferring the researcher to the text. Cersei presents herself as masked, as she covers herself with representations of the mother and the whore. The female mask can be understood as a phallic sign that confers value and acceptance in a phallocentric and patriarchal society. This mask would be anchored in performance and not in singularity and self-recognition. Thus, to the extent that women make use of this artifice to establish themselves, they reinvest the same system that signifies the feminine as depreciated. The feminine is approached from the castrated/non-castrated dichotomy, revealing a phallic-narcissistic functioning of horror at castration and repudiation of femininity. The psychic register of femininity is confronted with the phallic register opening up primitive drive inscriptions, which are often hidden by omnipotent defenses. The use of violence emerges as a primitive defensive reaction to the reality of castration, whose target embodies the being castrated: subjects, men and women, attack women to destroy their femininity. The female experience permeates diversity since the becoming a woman process reveals countless possibilities for exercising womanhood. In this way, the search for female identity reveals a decentering of the subject who seeks a new way of being in the world through the admission of femininity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This article aims to present the theoretical construction on female sexuality and femininity in Freud, and then question it from a racial and gender perspective. To this end, the main references employed were works from black female authors who discuss the ethno-racial subject, as well as some which address gender and theories of intersectional feminism. This paper observed the conception of a universal woman that includes the attribution of traits of femininity which are linked to a white, bourgeois and motherly woman figure and, therefore, aren't comprehensive of gender, race and class in their totality, in order to erase the black woman's experience, marked by racism and a slavocratic history. Thus, an omission from Psychoanalysis can be observed regarding to the racial issue and, therefore, the need of think about a contextualized psychoanalysis, which takes into account the historical and social aspects of the reality in which it is inserted, is evident. - Abstract
The 2000s are characterized by the significant influence of pop culture in shaping the society of the time. Celebrity culture, post-feminist narrative, the cult of extreme thinness, and unattainable beauty standards were prevalent. This research explores media misogyny and the patriarchal system that turned the private lives of female public figures into “entertainment.” It seeks to compile key concepts to understand how the 2000s were experienced, especially from the female celebrity experience and its impact on the imaginations of girls who grew up during this era., A década de 2000 é caracterizada pela grande influência da cultura pop na construção da sociedade da época.

- Abstract
It is the same for gender, as we are categorized and led down the path of a pre-established idea. With these facts in mind, it is vitally important that we ask ourselves what factors are governing social identity in the contemporary era. Within this context of globalization, the way in which we present ourselves to the world starts from an external base and denies our own voice more than ever, occurring in a physical, personal and behavioral sense. This Doctoral Thesis project proposes a study of these facts for the review of the images created and shared within the platforms, with the intention of going beyond the formal, reduced by many to a simple and frivolous appearance, to expose what is really happening. The analysis of these concepts will be necessary to achieve a greater depth in the understanding of the artistic practice that is born as a result of the consequent changes of women’s liberation and the consequent identity alterations of our context, and also to contextualize contemporary creation from different disciplines, focusing on photography, but without discarding others such as painting, video creation or performance.

- Abstract
This article studies the representation of gender construction in Palomero’s film analysing the female subjectivation process of the main character. To do so, we start by reflecting on three notions that bring together the lines of force of the film: habit —Peirce—, biopower —Foucault— and embodied experience —De Lauretis—. From this perspective, we analyse the way in which the Catholic and segregated education is articulated through the representation of female subjectivation as an embodied experience, traversed by inferential processes of signification and disciplinary practices. The conclusions of the analysis establish that, both at the narrative and representational levels, this process is shaped by structural elements associated with the coming-of-age film genre and formal aspects of haptic visuality.
