- Abstract
Phytoplankton are aquatic biota that have a rapid reaction to changes in water quality. Increased activities such as tourism and KJA in Cikoncang Reservoir can potentially reduce water quality. Phytoplankton is a bioindicator of water quality, phytoplankton diversity can describe water conditions. The purpose of the study was to analyze phytoplankton diversity, water quality, and the relationship between diversity and water quality of Cikoncang Reservoir. The research was conducted in March and April 2023. There were 5 research stations taken based on the purposive sampling method. Phytoplankton diversity is generally included in moderate diversity with a stable community and the distribution of individuals of each species with a range of values of 1.857-2.122. Based on the saprobity index, it can be seen that the Cikoncang Reservoir waters are included in moderate to light pollution. Based on PCA analysis, diversity has a positive relationship or correlates with brightness, temperature, DO, pH, nitrate, and TDS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu araştırmada, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nde bulunan 12 göletin fitoplanktonik organizmaları taksonomik ve ekolojik yönden incelenmiştir. Her gölet için, sadece bir adet örnekleme istasyonu seçilmiştir. 22 Haziran 2002’de 12 istasyondan 60 μ göz açıklığındaki plankton kepçesi ile toplanan örnekler % 4’lük formaldehit ile fikse edilerek, optik mikroskopta incelenmiştir. Çalışmada tayin edilen organizmaların 15’i Cyanobacteria, 24’ü Heterokontophyta, 3’ü Dinoflagellata, 9’u Euglenophyta ve 34’ü Chlorophyta’ dan olmak üzere toplam 85 fitoplankton taksonu tespit edilmiştir. Göletler, fitoplankton taksonlarının varlık ve yokluklarına baz alınarak uygulanan kümelenme ve metrik olmayan çok boyutlu ölçeklendirme analizine göre 4 gruba ayrılmıştır. Yarı kurak iklim koşullarından etkilen göletlerdeki sığlaşmanın ve tuzluluğun fitoplankton dağılımında ana faktör olduğu değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda saptanan taksonlar, fitoplanktonik organizmalar üzerine çalışmaların mevcut olamadığı K.K.T.C tatlısu alg florasi için ilk kayıtlardır.

Feed residues and fish waste from floating net cage activities in Kedung Ombo Reservoir are the main issues in decreasing water quality, impacting the abundance of phytoplankton as primary producers. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship of nutrients and turbidity with phytoplankton abundance. This study used a field survey method with a purposive sampling technique. Samples were collected 3 times at intervals of 1 month at 3 different stations. Samples of water and phytoplankton were taken on the surface. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the nitrate concentration was 0.2–0.7 mg/L; phosphate 0.1–0.87 mg/L; and turbidity of 3.52–20.18 NTU. The phytoplankton abundance was 17,882–90,280 cells/L with a low diversity index (1.127–1.849), a high uniformity index (0.406–0.701), and a low dominance index (0.243–0.557). There is a strong correlation between nutrients, turbidity, and phytoplankton abundance, with a value of r = 0.800. The coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.640 indicates that phytoplankton abundance is influenced by nutrients and turbidity by 64%, while other factors influence the remaining 36%. Phytoplankton, as autotrophic organisms, play a role as primary producers and are often used to measure the fertility of a body of water. Palabuhanratu Waters, which has fishing resources, experiences various human activities in its vicinity. This study aims to determine the community structure in Palabuhanratu Waters. Phytoplankton samples were collected in October 2022 from four stations, and water parameters such as temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO) were measured. Six classes and 27 genera of phytoplankton were found, including Dinophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Oligotrichea, Chlorophyceae, Polycystina, and Trebouxiophyceae, with Bacillariophyceae being the dominant class. The abundance of phytoplankton was relatively low, ranging from 66 to 695 ind/l. The diversity index was classified as moderate, with values ranging from 1,552 to 2,234. The water parameters indicated that the conditions still support the growth of phytoplankton. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

10. Yeşilırmak Havzasının Yüksek Rakımlı, Küçük ve Derin Göllerinde Fitoplankton İndeksleri ve Trofik Durumun Değerlendirilmesi.

The Yeşilırmak basin, with an area of 36.114 km², is Türkiye's fifth-greatest area for precipitation. The primary sources of pollution in the basin are population increase, unplanned urbanization, industrial and animal waste, usage of fertilizers and pesticides. In this study, five lakes with high altitude, small surface area, and deep characteristics in the Yeşilırmak Basin (Boraboy, Büyük, Dipsiz, Düden, and Zinav Lake) were assessed by using the phytoplankton indices (PTI and Q) and trophic status index (TSI). Phytoplankton and water samples were collected (April, July, and September 2018), and 85 species were identified. Total phosphorus, total nitrogen, chlorophyll a, and Secchi depth parameters were used to estimate the trophic status of the lakes. Linear regression analysis was performed separately for PTI and Q indices with total phosphorus, the limiting element in lakes. As a result, the Q index correlated with total phosphorus higher (r²=0.75) than the PTI index (p<0.05). The ecological quality statuses produced by the Q index were comparable to the TSI index. Considering the results collectively, the status of Boraboy Lake was assessed as "good/oligotrophic", Büyük Lake as "moderate/oligotrophic", Düden and Zinav Lakes as "moderate/mesotrophic", and Dipsiz Lake as "moderate/eutrophic" in terms of phytoplankton composition and trophic status. As a result, while Boraboy and Büyük Lakes' quality should be maintained, steps should be taken to improve the quality of the Dipsiz, Düden, and Zinav Lakes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Phytoplankton is an autotroph organism that produces its own food through the process of photosynthesis with the help of sunlight which forms the basis of water productivity to be utilized by trophic organisms above and is used as an environmental bioindicator because it is sensitive to environmental changes. Phytoplankton live in waters, one of which is in the river ecosystem which is a flowing water with a plankton community called potamoplankton. Because of the importance of phytoplankton for life, it is necessary to conduct research on Comparison of Phytoplankton Composition and Abundance in Different Land Use in Cisadane River, Tangerang Regency. In this study, purposive sampling method was used to measure parameters such as pH, temperature, and water transparency. Identification of phytoplankton composition and abundance was carried out using the Sedgwick Rafter Counting Cell (SRCC) using the sweep method. The results of this study were obtained 23 genus of phytoplankton derived from 6 classes consisting of: Bacillaryophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Conjugatophyceae, Trebouxiophyceae, and Zygnematophyceae. Phytoplankton abundance was 185-490 Ind/L with the highest abundance in both areas being the class Bacillariophyceae and genus Navicula. The diversity index were 1.307-2.124 and the dominance index were 0.201-0.461. Water quality parameters that affect the composition and abundance of phytoplankton are water transparency, water pH, and water temperature. The fertility level of the Cisadane River waters in terms of phytoplankton abundance has an oligotrophic fertility level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

14. Kelimpahan dan Indeks Ekologi Jenis Plankton di Perairan Pulau Seurudong, Aceh Selatan.

- Abstract
Plankton are organisms that live in the ocean water column and move with the currents. The plankton is divided into two types, namely phytoplankton and zooplankton. This study aims to determine the abundance anda ecologycal index of phytoplankton and zooplankton in the waters of Seurudong Island, South Aceh district. Water sampling with a volume of 100 liters was filtered using a plankton net at each station. There are 3 sampling locations. Each station has 4x repeats. Measurement of water quality is carried out simultaneously with water sampling to identify the type of plankton. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in abundance at each station. The abundance of phytoplankton at station 1 was 12520 cells/L, Station 2 was 5643 cells/L, and Station 3 was 3510 cells/L. The abundance of zooplankton at station 1 was 918 ind/L, station 2 was 1225 ind/L and station 3 was 1575 ind/L. Based on ecologycal index, phytoplankton and zooplankton respectively showed H’ (0,97 – 1,05), C (1,0) dan E (0,26 – 0,33) while H’ (0,55 – 0,78), C (1,0) dan E (0,21 – 0,24). The composition of phytoplankton and zooplankton in these waters is closely related to availability of food sources for aquatic organisms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Napredak u molekularnoj biologiji doveo je do snažnog razvoja molekularnih metoda u biomonitoringu. Metabarkoding je porcedura zasnovana na upotrebi DNK molekula koja može da dopuni ili čak potpuno zameni klasičan biomonitoring u skorijoj budućnosti. Sproveli smo istraživanje fitoplanktonske zajednice, važnog biološkog parametra kvaliteta, u Markovačkom jezeru sa ciljem da uporedimo tradicionalni i molekularni pristup u biomonitoringu. Ukupno smo pronašli 105 sekvenci algi i cijanobakterija, ali usled nepotpunosti baze, lista taksona dobijena metabarkodingom je nepotpuna. Iako se rezultati metabarkodinga trenutno ne mogu koristiti za procenu ekološkog statusa u Republici Srbiji, primena molekularnog pristupa u biomonitoringu je obećavajuća., The advancement in molecular biology resultet in development of molecular methods in biomonitoring. Metabarcoding is a DNA based procedure that can supplement or even replace classical biomonitoring in the near future. We conducted a study of phytoplankton, an importtant biological quality element, in Markovačko lake aiming to compare morphological and metabacoding approach in biomonitoring. In total, 105 sequences were obtained, but due to the incompletness of the reference library the metabarcoding taxonomic list was not comprehensive. Although, the metabarcoding results can not be currently used for ecological status assessment in the Republic of Serbia, its application in biomonitoring is promissing.

Sungai Gunung Anyar Surabaya digunakan untuk pembuangan limbah rumah tangga karena terdapat pemukiman padat penduduk di sepanjang alirannya. Selain itu, terdapat tambak-tambak yang membuang sisa pakan dan sisa metabolisme ke Sungai Gunung Anyar. Limbah yang mengandung unsur hara seperti nitrat dan fosfat akan dimanfaatkan oleh fitoplankton untuk pertumbuhannya. Masuknya bahan organik nitrat dan fosfat, ke muara dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air yang berpengaruh pada keberadaan fitoplankton. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan konsentrasi nitrat dan fosfat terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton di Perairan Mangrove Gunung Anyar, Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pertengahan bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2021. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada sembilan stasiun dengan metode pengambilan fitoplankton secara horizontal. Analisis fitoplankton menggunakan Sedgwick Rafter Counter Cell (SRCC). Sampel air digunakan untuk menganalisis nitrat dan fosfat yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan Spektrofotometri Uv-Vis. Analisa data meliputi densitas absolut fitoplankton, indeks keanekaragaman fitoplankton, serta uji regresi untuk mengetahui hubungan nitrat dan fosfat dengan fitoplankton. Konsentrasi nitrat tergolong oligotrofik sedangkan konsentrasi fosfat tergolong mesotrofik. Kelimpahan fitoplankton termasuk dalam kategori oligotrofik. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Hubungan antara nitrat terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton menunjukkan (r) memiliki korelasi lemah, sedangkan hubungan antara fosfat terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton menunjukkan (r) memiliki korelasi cukup.

Abstrak Kajian kemelimpahan fitoplankton di perairan estuari payau Bondan Cilacap telah dipelajari. Perairan Bondan merupakan perairan hutan bakau rusak dan dikoloni oleh semak dan liana bakau, padahal daun pohon bakau adalah sumber input nutrien utama untuk komunitas fitoplankton yang merupakan mata rantai pertama dalam jejaring makanan perairan hutan bakau. Pengambilan sampel fitoplankton dilakukan dengan pencuplikan menggunakan modifikasi van Dorn 5 L dan merupakan komposit 20 L air dengan ulangan 5 kali. Kualitas perairan yang diukur meliputi kecepatan arus dan angin, suhu air dan udara, kelembaban udara, jeluk perairan dan jeluk Secchi, intensitas cahaya, turbiditas, salinitas, pH, NH4+, NO3-, PO43-, dan SO42-. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa cacah spesies dominan adalah fungsional grup diatom, akan tetapi cacah individunya sedikit. Sebaliknya, cacah individu algae koloni melimpah tetapi cacah spesiesnya sedikit, dan terjadi peledakan Aphanocapsa pulchra, 188.260 individu per 100 L. Abstract The abundance of phytoplankton in the brackish estuary of Bondan Cilacap have been studied. Bondan waters are setting in the disturbed mangrove ecosystem, which colonized by mangrove shrubs and lianas, whereas, the mangrove leaves are the main source of nutrient input for the phytoplankton community as the first link in the mangrove aquatic food web. Phytoplankton were sampled using a 5 L modification of van Dorn and a composite of 20 L of water with 5 replications. The water qualities measured include surface current, wind speed, water and air temperatures, air humidity, Secchi depth and water depth, light intensity, turbidity, salinity, pH, NH4+, NO3-, PO43-, dan SO42-. The results showed that the number of the dominant species was diatoms, but the number of the individuals was small. In contrast, the individual number of algae colony was abundant but the species number were few, and Aphanocapsa pulchra was blooming, 188,260 individuals per 100 L. This bloom was due to the waters were dominated by freshwater and the disturbed mangrove trees. The blooming of population of A. pulchra indicated that bad waters quality.

Phytoplankton is an organism that had an effect on life waters and can be used as the parameters in monitoring water quality. Distribution of phytoplankton in the waters can be for biomonitoring which can be used to make protection zone. This study will examine the distribution and composition of phytoplankton in The crab conservation area in Betahwalang Waters, Demak. This research divided into three stations in estuaries and the sea s. Each sampling was done once a month. Samples were taken using a plankton net. The results found three classes of phytoplankton, namely Bacillariophyceae class, Cyanophyceae class and Dinophyceae class. The number of genera found in the river area (37 genera), at the estuary station as much (38 genera) and the sea station as much (31 genera). Fluctuation in phytoplankton abundance at each station is quite varied. The abundance of phytoplankton in January was 1.030.400 cells/L, in February it was 936.800 cells/L, and in March it was 643.600 cells/L. The highest abundance occurs in the estuary area, then the river and the lowest in the sea. The value of species diversity index (H ') is in the range of 2.57-3.03. Uniformity index values range from 0.86 to 0.94. The dominance index from 0.06 to 0.14. Factors affecting the abundance and dominance of phytoplankton are water conditions and the rainy season. Fitoplankton merupakan organisme yang mempunyai pengaruh besar terhadap kehidupan di suatu perairan baik langsung maupun tidak langsung dan dijadikan sebagai salah satu parameter dalam pemantauan kualitas perairan.Fitoplankton di perairan dapat dijadikan suatu ukuran bahwa Kawasan tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai zona perlindungan biota.Penelitian ini mengkaji fluktuasi fitolankton pada Kawasan konservasi rajungan di Perairan Betahwalang, Demak. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 3 stasiun yang terletak disungai, muara sungai, dan laut. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan setiap bulan selama tiga bulan menggunakan planktonnet. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 3 kelas yaitu kelas Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae dan Dinophyceae.Jumlah genus yang ditemukan pada area sungai, muara sungai dan laut berturut-turut 37 genus, 38 genus dan 31 genus. Fluktuasi kelimpahan fitoplankton di setiap stasiun cukup bervariasi.Kelimpahan fitoplankton pada bulan Januari sebesar 1.030.400 sel/L, pada bulan Februari sebesar 936.800 sel/L, dan pada bulan Maret sebesar 643.600 sel/L. Kelimpahan tertinggi terjadi pada daerah muara, kemudian sungai dan terendah di laut. Sedangkan nilai indeks keanekaragaman jenis (H’) berada pada kisaran 2,57-3,03. Nilai indeks keseragaman berkisar 0,86-0,94. Sedangkan indeks dominasi berkisar 0,06-0,14. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kelimpahan dan dominasi fitoplankton adalah kondisi perairan dan musim hujan.

Air terjun atau curug terbentuk dari aliran air sungai pada jalur dataran tinggi yang hanya sedikit mendapat perhatian mengenai kualitas dan status nutriennya. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui komposisi fitoplankton dan kualitas perairan pada curug Sawer dan Cimanaracun Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Situ Gunung. Parameter kimia-fisik yang diamati berupa suhu, konduktivitas (EC), total padatan terlarut (TDS) dan pH. Sampel fitoplankton diambil sebanyak 4 liter air dialirkan pada jaring plankton berukuran 50 μm hingga 15 ml dan diawetkan dengan Lugol’s iodine 10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 jenis fitoplankton dari kelas Chlorophyceae (100%) pada curug Sawer dan 4 jenis yang berasal dari kelas Chlorophyceae (76%) dan Cyanophyceae (24%) pada curug Cimanaracun. Berdasarkan nilai indeks saprobik, kedua perairan memiliki kategori tercemar sangat ringan dengan masing-masing 1,92 pada curug Sawer dan 1,53 pada curug Cimanaracun. Abstract Waterfalls are formed from river which cascade at a high elevation that had a little attention about its quality and nutrient. The aims of study determined a composition of phytoplankton and the quality of waterfalls in Situ Gunung recreational park region. Physico-chemical was observed such as temperature, electro-conductivity, total dissolved solids, and pH. Phytoplankton sample was taken 4 liters streamed to plankton-net with size 50 μm until 15 ml and preserved by Lugol’s iodine 10%. The result showed there are 3 phytoplankton species belong Chlorophyceae class (100%) in Sawer waterfall and there were 4 phytoplankton species belong Chlorophyceae (76%) and Cyanophyceae (24%) classes in Cimanaracun waterfall. Based on saprobic index value from both of them waters showed has very slight pollution with 1.92 and 1.53, respectively.

Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis fitoplankton apa saja yang terdapat di perairan sekitar Pulau Pusong dan kondisi lingkungan di perairan sekitar Pulau Pusong. Pencuplikan sampel plankton di perairan Pulau Pusong dilakukan sebanyak empat titik sampling. Pengukuran sampel air dilakukan dengan tiga ulangan. Ada 30 jenis fitoplankton yang diperoleh yang terdiri dari genus yaitu Bacillaria, Bacteriastrum, Biddulphia, Ceratium, Chaetoceros, Coscinusdiscus, Dactyliosolen, Dithylum, Eucampia, Leucosolonia, Merismopedia, Navicula, Nitzschia, Odentella, Planktonella, Pseudo-nitzschia, Pyrocystis, Rhizosolenia, dan Thalassionema.

In the present study, phytoplankton composition in relation to mucilage and accompanied physicochemical conditions were investigated in the sea water samples collected from four stations in İzmit-Kocaeli, Fatih-İstanbul, Biga-Çanakkale (in the Marmara Sea), and Rivaİstanbul (in the Black Sea). Samplings were carried out before (i.e., during September 2020) and at the beginning stage of the mucilage formations (i.e., during April 2021) which was observed in the Marmara Sea during spring and summer months of 2021. Seawater temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen levels were measured in situ. Inorganic nitrogen, orthophosphate, and chlorophyll-a concentrations were analyzed spectrophotometrically. In total 83 phytoplankton species (44 Bacillariophyceae-BAC, 36 Dinophyceae-DIN, 2 Dictyochophyceae-DIC, and 1 Chlorophyceae-CHL) were identified during the study. BAC species were generally dominant. Among the 83 phytoplankton taxa identified, Cerataulina pelagica, Cylindrotheca closterium, Pseudo-nitzschia sp., Skeletonema costatum, Thalassiosira rotula, Alexandrium tamarense, Dinophysis acuminata, Dinophysis caudata, Dinophysis fortii, Gonyaulax fragilis, Gonyaulax spinifera, Gymnodinium sp., Gyrodinium sp., and Prorocentrum micans are known as the species associated with mucilage formation. kan Cupang Betta splendens adalah salah satu jenis ikan hias peliharaan yang mempunyai daya tarik pada warna yang dimunculkan dari tubuhnya. Ikan cupang memiliki nilai ekspor US$ 4,911. Kualitas warna ikan hias menentukan nilai ekonomis, tampilan warna yang indah merupakan salah satu indikator yang menjadi daya tarik. Salah satu usaha yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan warna cerah yang merata pada ikan adalah dengan teknik manipulasi pigmen ke dalam pakan. Mikroalga Porphyridium cruentum merupakan mikroalga merah yang memiliki manfaat yang digunakan sebagai sumber pigmen alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan P. cruentum pada pakan terhadap kecerahan warna, dan kelulushidupan ikan cupang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan perlakuan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perbedaan dosis P. cruentum yang berbeda yaitu menggunakan P0 sebagai kontrol dengan pemberian cacing darah, P1 dengan dosis P. cruentum 0%,P2 dosis P. cruentum 1%, P3 dosis P. cruentum 3%, P4 dosis P. cruentum 5%. Kemudian dilakukan ulangan 4 kali. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan P. cruentum berpengaruh terhadap perubahan kecerahan warna ikan cupang. Perubahan kecerahan warna ikan cupang dilihat dari perubahan nilai hue (o). Penambahan P. cruentum tidak berpengaruh terhadap kelulushidupan. Penambahan dosis 1% P. cruentum pada pakan menghasilkan kecerahan warna terbaik selama empat minggu yaitu 8.50, 15.50, 21.00, dan 27.50 sedangkan dosis 0% menghasilkan kecerahan warna terendah yaitu 0.00. Nilai kelulushidupan selama penelitian pada tiap perlakukan tidak berbeda nyata yaitu 100%.

Şubat 2015-Ocak 2016 tarihleri arasında aylık olarak Munzur Çayı’nda belirlenen iki istasyonda gerçekleştirilen çalışmada fitoplankton dağılımı ile fiziko-kimyasal parametreler belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yerüstü Su Kalitesi Yönetmeliği’ne göre suyun kalitesi, sıcaklık, pH, oksijen, amonyum nitrat I. Sınıf özelliği; nitrit ise II. Sınıf özelliği niteliğinde değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca II. İstasyon evsel atık sebebiyle organik kirlenme tehdidi altında olduğu belirlenmiş ve bu duruma markerleri olarak bölgedeki fitoplankton dağılımı incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar göstermiştir ki: Munzur Çayı’nda Chlorophyta (6), Bacillariophyta (54), Cyanobacteria (15), Rhodophyta (1), Ochrophyta (1), Euglenophyta (2), Charophyta (3), Miozoa (2) sınıflarına ait toplam 84 takson tespit edilmiştir. Fitoplanktonda organizma sayısı bakımından iki istasyon içinde Bacillariophyta divizyosunun dominant, Cyanobacteria ise subdominant olduğu gözlenmiştir. Fitoplanktonda Bacillariophyta’dan Ulnaria ulna, Nitzschia palea, Bacillaria paradoxa ,Encyonema sp., Navicula sp. ve Nitzschia acicularis türlerinin çoğunlukla bulunduğu; Cyanobacteria üyelerinden Lyngbya sp., Spirulina labyrinthiformis, Oscillatoria labyrinthiformis ve Oscillatoria mougeotii türlerinin ise önem açısından ikinci sırada yer aldığı raporlanmıştır. Chlorophyta, Charophyta ve Euglenophyta türleri ise önemli sayılara ulaşamamışlardır.

Eutrophication is a regularly faced problem by reservoirs in Indonesia. However, this problem can be solved by technical measures including the conceptual model and numerical solution. In the context of such,objective of this paper had focused on the numerical simulation of reservoir water quality dynamics in controlling eutrophication. The water quality parameters simulated include the parameters as prime causeof eutrophication such as total Nitrogen dan total Phosphorus, whereas eutrophication is indicated by thephytoplankton concentration and chlorophil-a. Dynamic simulation is needed to know the affect of pollutantloading variations to eutrophication dynamics. This study concentrated on the Jatiluhur Reservoir mainly onits morphometry and water quality parameters. Softwares used for this study include the Powersim Constructor and WASP (Water Quality Analysis Simulation Program). Simulation results show that to remedy the eutrophicated Jatiluhur reservoir, an integrated method, that is, reduction of internal and externalloading mainly on Total Nitrogen dan Total Phosphorus loadings can be applied. Internal loading needs 50% nutrient loading reduction, while nutrients from external loading require at least 90% reduction.

This study aims to determine to determine the species composition, abundance and community structure of phytoplankton in shellfish aquaculture ponds blood (Anadara granosa) in Menco, District Wedung, District Demak.Metode used in this study is Diskriptif method, determination of the location of the study is purposive sampling Methods, namely the determination of the sampling locations should be based on consideration, the station I to III of the sampling stations representing keseluruan research area. Marine research station is Blood Shellfish Farming in Hamlet Menco. Station is divided into three stations, with making four periods. Environmental parameters taken include: salinity, temperature, pH, DO, nitrate, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, organic materials. The results of the study, found 19 genera of phytoplankton. Phytoplankton abundance 2596-18844 cells / L. Diversity index (H ') based on the total period ranged from 1.098 to 1.837. On January 18-March 3, 2014, categorized into the diversity index medium. Uniformity index (e) the entire period ranged from 0.616 to 0.999. Fitoplankton atau mikroalga merupakan makanan utama kerang di tambak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis, kelimpahan, dan struktur komunitas fitoplankton pada tambak budidaya kerang darah (Anadara granosa) di Menco, Kecamatan Wedung, Kabupaten Demak. M etode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Deskriptif. Sampel fitoplankton diambil dari Tambak Kerang Darah selama empat periode. Parameter lingkungan sebagai data penunjang adalah salinitas, suhu, pH, DO, nitrat, fosfat, oksigen terlarut, bahan organik. Hasil penelitian menjunjukkan terdapat 19 genus fitoplankton, dengan kelimpahan 2.5-18.8x103sel.L-1. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) berdasarkan total keseluruhan periode berkisar antara 1,098-1,837. Pada tanggal 18 Januari-3 Maret 2014, dikategorikan masuk dalam indeks keanekaragaman sedang. Indeks keseragaman (e) keseluruhan periode berkisar antara 0,616–0,999.

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis kelimpahan fitoplankton penyebab HAB (Harmful Algal Bloom) di Perairan Teluk Lampung pada musim barat dan musim timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi alga yang berpotensi menyebabkan HAB yang berada di Teluk Lampung dan melihat pola hubungan kelimpahan fitoplankton yang bepotensi menyebabkan HAB dengan nutrien yang terkandung di perairan Teluk Lampung, Kab. Pesawaran, Provinsi Lampung. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada musim timur (April) dan musim barat (Oktober) pada tahun 2015. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pada musim timur fitoplankton yang teridentifikasi dan berpotensi menyebabkan HAB adalah Amphora sp., Nitzchia sp., Ceratium sp., Dynophisis sp., Gymnodinium sp., dan Nocticulla scintillans. Pada musim barat fitoplankon yang teridentifikasi dan berpotensi menyebabkan HAB adalah Amphora sp., Nitzchia sp., Pseudonitzchia sp., Alexadrium sp., Ceratium sp ., Cochlodium polykiroides, Dhynophisis sp ., Gambirdiscus toxicus, Gymnodinium sp., Nocticula scintillans, Procentrum sp., Pyrodinium bahamase dan Peridinium sp. Pada musim timur kelimpahan fitoplankton penyebab HAB yang terdapat di perairan Teluk Lampung didominasi oleh spesies Ceratium sp. dengan rata-rata 1,802 ind/L sedangkan pada musim barat kelimpahan fitoplankton di Teluk Lampung didominasi oleh Nitczchia sp ., dengan rata-rata kelimpahan 161,207ind/L.

This research was carried out between August 2016 and September 2016 in 3 glacial lakes located in Tortum/Erzurum. These lakes are covered with ice for about 8-10 months depend on seasons. Throughout the research, phytoplankton specimens were collected with plankton nets (50µ mesh size). Water samples were taken by samples from each lake. In this study, a total of 57 species was identified. From Bacillariophyta 39, Chlorophyta 9, Cryptophyta 2, Cyanobacteria 2, Charophyta 3, Euglenophyta 1 and Ochrophyta 1 species were identified. The lowest and highest values of the dissolved oxygen 5.96-9.56 mgl-1, the pH 7.93-8.5, the water temperature 6.5-19.5 °C, the conductivity 0.030-0.037 mScm-1 were measured. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

34. Kesuburan Perairan dan Komunitas Fitoplankton Danau Toba di Wilayah Kecamatan Ajibata Kabupaten Toba Samosir

In order to determine the waters fertility and Phytoplankton abundance of Lake Toba in the Ajibata District, and to compare them with other sub-districts in Lake Toba, this study was conducted. The research was conducted by in-situ observation and sampling for laboratory analysis according to ISO 5667-6:2014 and ISO 5667-3:2012 procedures. This study revealed that the waters of Lake Toba in the District of Ajibata contain total dissolved inorganic nitrogen (nitrite-N, nitrate-N and NH4-N) dissolved 0.158–0.290 mg/l; and total phosphate 0.040–0.060 mg/l. This indicates that the waters are already included in fertile waters. These waters are inhabited by at least 24 types of phytoplankton which are included in 4 classes, namely Bacillariophyceae (11 sp.), Chlorophyceae (8 sp.), Cyanophyceae (3 sp.) and Dinophyceae (2 sp.). Even though they are fertile waters, when compared to the waters of Lake Toba in other sub-districts, the concentration of inorganic nitrogen and total phosphate is still much lower. This study also revealed that the presence of floating net cage (KJA) greatly affected the concentration of dissolved nitrogen and phosphate as well as the abundance of phytoplankton in the vicinity. This study did not show a positive correlation between nutrient concentration and abundance of phytoplankton where waters with higher nutrient concentrations did not always have a higher abundance of phytoplankton. Keywords: Toba, Water ferlitity, Phytoplankton, Abundance ABSTRAK Dalam rangka mengetahui kesuburan perairan dan komunitas fitoplankton Danau Toba di wilayah Kecamatan Ajibata, dan perbandingannya dengan wilayah kecamatan lain di Danau Toba penelitian ini dilakukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengamatan in-situ dan pengambilan sampel untuk analisis laboratorium sesuai prosedur ISO 5667-6:2014 dan ISO 5667-3:2012. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa perairan Danau Toba di Wilayah Kecamatan Ajibata mengandung total nitrogen anorganik (nitrit-N, nitrat-N dan NH4-N) terlarut 0,158–0,290 mg/l; dan total fosfat 0,040–0,060 mg/l. Hal ini mengisyaratkan bahwa perairan tersebut sudah terasuk perairan yang subur. Perairan tersebut dihuni oleh paling sedikit 24 jenis fitoplankton yang termasuk dalam 4 kelas yakni Bacillariophyceae (11 sp.), Chlorophyceae (8 sp.), Cyanophyceae (3 sp.) dan Dinophyceae (2 sp.). Meskipun termasuk perairan yang subur namun jika dibandingkan dengan perairan Danau Toba di wilayah kecamatan lain konsentrasi nitrogen anorganik dan total fosfat tersebut masih jauh lebih kecil. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa keberadaan keramba jaring apung (KJA) sangat berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi nitrogen dan fosfat terlarut serta kelimpahan fitoplankton disekitarnya. Penelitian ini tidak menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif antara konsentrasi hara dan kelimpahan fitoplankton dimana perairan dengan konsentrasi hara yang lebih tinggi tidak selalu memiliki kelimpahan fitoplankton yang lebih tinggi. Abstrak Indeks saprobik merupakan indeks yang digunakan untuk mengetahui status pencemaran pada perairan dengan menggunakan keberadaan organisme seperti komposisi fitoplankton di perairan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman fitoplankton dan kondisi kualitas perairan danau Situ Gunung, Sukabumi Jawa Barat berdasarkan nilai indeks saprobik. Sampel fitoplankton diambil dengan cara menyaring air danau sebanyak 20 liter dengan plankton net kemudian diawetkan dengan larutan Iodine 10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 32 spesies fitoplankton ditemukan di Situ Gunung yang termasuk ke dalam 5 kelas yaitu, Chlorophyceae (66,58%), Cyanophyceae (25,82%), Bacillariophyceae (6,33%), Dinophyceae (1,01%) dan Cryptophyceae (0,25%). Jenis fitoplankon yang paling banyak ditemukan di Situ Gunung adalah Monoraphidium sp., Chroococcus sp., Gloeocapsa sp., dan Ankistrodesmus sp. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) di stasiun A = 1,02), stasiun B = 0,78, stasiun C = 0,39, stasiun D = 0,83 dan stasiun E = 0,6. Nilai indeks saprobik berkisar antara 1 s.d 1,67, yaitu dengan tingkat pencemaran ringan (β mesosaprobik) hingga sangat ringan (oligosaprobik) oleh bahan organik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, danau Situ Gunung termasuk ke dalam perairan yang belum tercemar. Abstract The saprobic index is an index applies to determine pollution level of water based on the presence of organisms such as phytoplankton. This study was conducted to determine the diversity of phytoplankton and water quality of Situ Gunung, Sukabumi, West Java based on saprobic index values. From this study, 32 species of phytoplankton were found that were members of five major classes: Chlorophyceae (66.58%), Cyanophyceae (25.82%), Bacillariophyceae (6.33%), Dinophyceae (1.01%) and Cryptophyceae (0.25%). The most abundant phytoplankton species found in Situ Gunung were Monoraphidium sp., Chroococcus sp., Gloeocapsa sp., and Ankistrodesmus sp. Diversity index (H') of station A, B, C, D, and E were 1.02, 0.78, 0.39, 0.83, and 0.6, respectively while saprobic index values ranged from 1 to 1.67, with the level of organic contamination ranging from light (β mesosaprobic) to very light (oligo saprobic). Based on these results, it is concluded that Situ Gunung has not been contaminated by pollutants.

This study was performed from March 2004 to February 2005 in 4 stations in Gala Lake, a shallow lake located inside Gala Lake National Park in Meriç Delta. Water samples were taken from the lake in order to determine the phytoplankton present in the lake and to perform physicochemical analysis. A total of 112 taxa from 5 divisio were identified during the study period. Chlorophyta was the most diversed group in the lake with 47 taxa and diatoms were found to have the highest cell counts with a mean value of 670011 cell L-1. The general pattern of seasonal succession in phytoplankton of the lake was represented with Chlorophyta in June and with Cyanophyta in September and Diatoms were the dominant group of the lake in all other months. A spatial heterogeneity was observed in the lake where a slight Microsystis spp. increase occurred in early autumn months. Comparison with former phytoplankton data showed distinct differences in terms of the qualitative and quantitative composition of the phytoplankton community of Lake Gala, which indicates lake deterioration.

This study was carried out between June 2011 and May 2012 at different depths of three stations in Kadıköy Dam Lake in the Turkish Thrace. A total of seventyfour phytoplanktonic algal taxa belonging to Chlorophyta, Ochrophyta (Diatoms), Cyanobacteria, Euglenophyta, Charophyta, and Dinophyta were recorded during the study period. Members of Chlorophyta were found to constitute the dominant group in the lake. Some physical and chemical water quality parameters and trophic state of lake water were determined.

Bu çalışmada Isparta ili Yalvaç ilçesinde bulunan Sücüllü ve Kozluçay Barajlarının planktonik organizmaları belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada her iki gölde de gölün iki farklı noktasından plankton örneklemesi yapılmıştır. Sücüllü Barajında 27 tür fitoplankton ve 24 tür zooplankton, Kozluçay Barajında ise 23 tür fitoplankton ve 17 tür zooplankton belirlenmiştir. Her iki gölde de fitoplanktonda Bacıllarıophyta zooplanktonda Rotifera baskın gruplar olmuştur. Fitoplanktonik organizmalardan Gyrosigma attenuatum, Cocconeis placentula, Cymbella afinis ve Eudorina sp Ceratium hirundinella, Synedra acus, zoooplanktonik organizmalardan Asplanchna priodonta, Euchlanis dilatata, Polyarthra vulgaris yoğun olarak görülen organizmalar olmuştur

Plankton merupakan organisme (tumbuhan atau hewan) yang hidupnya melayang-layang di perairan dan berperan untuk menentukan kualitas suatu perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan zooplankton di Perairan Sungai Minyak Kecamatan Sei Lepan Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dilapangan dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Purvosive sampling yaitu sampel bertujuan. Pengambilan sampel terdiri dari tiga stasiun. Hasil penelitian di Perairan sungai minyak menunjukkan terdapat 48 jenis zooplankton dengan nilai indeks kelimpahan 70,4ind/L dengan kriteria kelimpahan plankton rendah sedangkan nilai Kelimpahan Relatif (KR) menunjukkan 1 % sehingga dinyatakan habitat tidak cocok untuk pertumbuhan plankton.

Bu çalışmada Doğancı Baraj Gölü’nden Ocak 2018-Kasım 2018 tarihleri arasında alınan örneklerde bazı fiziko-kimyasal, ve ağır metal analizleri ile fitoplankton teşhis ve sayımları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Doğancı Baraj Gölü’nün trofik seviyesi belirlenmiştir. Doğancı Baraj Gölü su kalitesi ayrıca İçme Suyu Temin Edilen Suların Kalitesi ve Arıtılması Hakkında Yönetmelik kriterlerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Barajın su kalitesi 1.sınıf su kalitesinde çıkmıştır. Doğancı Baraj Gölü fitoplanktonunda Cyanobacteria’ya ait 14 takson (%17,72), Miozoa’ya ait 4 takson (%5,06), Ochrophyta’ya ait 1 takson (%1,27), Chlorophyta’ya ait 12 takson (%15,19), Charophyta’ya ait 4 takson (%5,06), Bacillariophyta’ya ait 44 takson (%55,70) olmak üzere toplam 79 takson tespit edilmiştir. Doğancı Baraj Gölü’nde tüm çalışma dönemi boyunca her mevsim yayılım gösteren türler Asterionella formosa, Stephanocyclus meneghinianus, Fragilaria crotonensis, Mougeotia sp., Nitzschia acicularis, Planktothrix rubescens, Ulnaria delicatissima ve Ulnaria danica’dır. Doğancı Baraj Gölü’nde en yüksek toplam organizma yoğunluğu 1 825 685 org/L ile Ekim ayında, en düşük toplam organizma yoğunluğu ise 54 org/L ile Ocak ayında görülmüştür. Yapılan siyanotoksin analizleri sonucunda baraj suyunda toksin tespit edilmemiştir. Ancak Dolichospermum planctonicum ve Planktothrix rubescens’in toksin üretme potansiyeli olması nedeniyle baraj gölünün sürekli takip edilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Doğancı Baraj Gölü trofik seviyesi Carlson (1977)’un Trofik Seviye İndeksi (TSI) değerlerine göre hesaplanmıştır. TSI(CHL) değerlerine göre Doğancı Baraj Gölü’nün mezotrofik karakterde olduğu görülürken, TSI(TN) değerlerine göre oligotrofik karakterde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Doğancı baraj gölü suyunda hangi çevresel değişkenlerin önemli olduğunu ortaya koymak için uygulanan açıklayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) sonuçlarına göre veri kümesinde toplam varyansın % 80,752’sini açıklayan üç faktör yükü belirlenmiştir. İlk faktör yükünün havzanın jeolojik yapısı ve iklimsel faktörler ile ilişkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. İkinci ve üçüncü faktör yüklerinde jeolojik yapının yanı sıra besin tuzu, askıda katı madde ve fitoplanktonun önemli olduğu görülmektedir. Türler ile çevresel değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için uygulanan redundancy analizi sonucuna göre hacim (p= 0,002; F= 5,77), pH (p= 0,002; F= 5,73), giren su (p= 0,002; F= 5,29), buharlaşma (p= 0,002; F= 2,65), su sıcaklığı (p= 0,004; F= 2,40), nitrat (p= 0,040; F= 1,58) ve magnezyum’un (p= 0,048; F= 1,65) anlamlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. In this study, some physico-chemical and heavy metal analyses and phytoplankton identification and counting were carried out in the samples taken from Doğancı Dam Lake between January 2018 and November 2018. The trophic level of Doğancı Dam Lake has been determined. The water quality of Doğancı Dam Lake was also evaluated according to the Regulation on the Quality and Treatment of Drinking Water Supply criteria. The water quality of the dam is 1st class water quality. In Doğancı Dam Lake phytoplankton, 14 taxa from Cyanobacteria (17,72%), 4 taxa from Miozoa (5,06%), 1 taxon from Ochrophyta (1,27%), 12 taxa from Chlorophyta (15,19%), 4 taxa (5,06%) from Charophyta, 44 taxa (55,70%) from Bacillariophyta, a total of 79 taxa were identified. In Doğancı Dam Lake, the species that spread every season during the whole study period are Asterionella formosa, Stephanocyclus meneghinianus, Fragilaria crotonensis, Mougeotia sp., Nitzschia acicularis, Planktothrix rubescens, Ulnaria delicatissima and Ulnaria danica. In Doğancı Dam Lake, the highest total organism density was seen in October with 1 825 685 org/L, and the lowest total organism density was observed in January with 54 org/L. As a result of the cyanotoxin analysis, no toxins were detected in the dam water. However, it was concluded that the reservoir should be monitored continuously due to the potential of Dolichospermum planctonicum and Planktothrix rubescens to produce toxins. The trophic level of Doğancı Dam Lake was calculated according to Carlson's (1977) Trophic Level Index (TSI) values. According to TSI(CHL) values, Doğancı Dam Lake was observed to have a mesotrophic character, but for the TSI(TN) values, it was an oligotrophic character. According to the results of the explanatory factor analysis (EFA) applied to reveal which environmental variables are important in Doğancı dam lake water, three factor loads were determined in the dataset, which explain 80,752% of the total variance. It has been determined that the first factor load is related to the geological structure of the basin and climatic factors. In the second and third factor loads, it is seen that besides the geological structure, nutrient salt, suspended solids, and phytoplankton are important. According to the results of the redundancy analysis applied to determine the relationship between species and environmental variables, volume (p= 0.002; F= 5.77), pH (p= 0.002; F= 5.73), water entering (p= 0.002; F= 5, 29), evaporation (p= 0.002; F= 2.65), water temperature (p= 0.004; F= 2.40), nitrate (p= 0.040; F= 1.58) and magnesium (p= 0.048) ; F= 1.65) was found to be significant.

Paper ini membahas mengenaiFitoplankton adalah golongan plankton yang mempunyai klorofil di dalam tubuhnya, biasa hidup di lapisan yang masih dapat terkena sinar matahari. Fitoplankton dapat membuat makanannya sendiri dengan mengubah bahan anorganik menjadi bahan organik melalui proses fotosintesis dengan menggunakan bantuan sinar matahari. Dalam sel tumbuhan ada suatu pigmen aktif yang mempunyai peranan penting didalam proses berlangsungnya fotosintesis di perairan yaitu klorofil-a. Kandungan pigmen ini dapat dilakukan untuk mengetahui kesuburan perairan karna kandungan pigmen fotosintesis ini menggambarkan biomassa fitoplankton dalam suatu perairan. Penelitian mengenai komposisi dan struktur klorofil-a fitoplankton di Danau Singkarak menjadi penting untuk dikaji, disebabkan karena perairannya luas dan dimanfaatkan di berbagai bidang. Kegiatan pemanfaatan ini akan mempengaruhi kualitas perairan yaitu kesuburannya, sehingga penelitian ini dapat menjadi informasi dasar untuk pengelolaan danau. Selain itu, penelitian mengenai hal ini belum banyak dikaji baru-baru ini yang tentunya sudah banyak perubahan yang terjadi terkait dengan struktur komunitas fitoplankton di Danau Singkarak.

42. Baraj Gölü Ekosisteminde Dinoflagellatlardan Peridiniopsis cf. cunningtonii (Lemmermann) Lemmermann Patlaması Üzerine Bir Çalışma

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'nin batı Akdeniz Bölgesi’nde yer alan; enerji, taşkın kontrolü ve sulama amacıyla kurulmuş olan, ayrıca balıkçılık ve turizm faaliyetleri için de yararlanılan Karacaören I Baraj Gölü’nü besleyen iki önemli kaynak olan Isparta Çayı ve Göksu Deresi’nin baraj gölüne karışım noktasında aşırı alg çoğalmaları (fitoplankton patlaması) incelenmiştir. Yoğun algal gelişim, ilkbahar başlarında Isparta Çayı ve Göksu Deresi’nin baraj gölüne karıştığı nehir ağzı bölgesinde kızıl-kahverengi belirgin bir bant olarak gözlemlenmiştir. Görsel olarak, alg patlaması yoğunluğunun nehir ağzı bölgesinden lakustrin bölgeye doğru azaldığı kaydedilmiştir. 18 Mart 2014’de bu ortamdan alınan plankton ve su örneklerinde plankton patlamasına neden olan organizmanın Dinoflagellata’dan Peridiniopsis cf. cunningtonii (Lemmermann) Lemmermann olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu türün en yüksek yoğunluğu Isparta Çayı ağzında 26.997; Göksu Deresi ağzında ise 22.262 hücre/ml olarak belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca alg patlamasının tespit edildiği sırada yoğun balık ölümleri gözlemlenmiştir. Bu sonuçlardan hareketle, özellikle Isparta Çayı’ndan gelen kentsel atıkların ve Göksu Çayı’ndan gelen balık yetiştiriciliği atıklarının baraj gölünde alg patlamalarını tetikleyebileceği ve bu durumun gelecekte de ortaya çıkabileceği öngörülmektedir.

43. Kocaçay’ın (Balıkesir) Fitoplankton Ekolojisi

This study aimed to investigate the phytoplanktonic species from the samples of Kocaçay taken in April 2016 and October 2016, and to determine their seasonal changes and physicochemical parameters. A total of 35 species belonging to the divisions Bacillariophyta (20), Chlorophyta (12), Cyanobacteria (1), Euglenophyta (1) and Charophyta (1) were identified in the research area.The results showed that the dominant division was Bacillariophyta and the subdominant division was Chlorophyta. It was determined that the most common species in April 2018 and October 2018 were Navicula radiosa, Desmodesmus communis and Trachelomonas volvocina. Results showed that the water temperature ranged from 9.5 to 26 ºC, pH from 8.75 to 13.7, electrical conductivity from 320 to 710 μscm-1 and total dissolved solids from 0.019 to 0.033 gl-1., Bu çalışmada Nisan ve Ekim 2018 tarihlerinde Kocaçaydan alınan örneklerden fitoplanktonik türlerinin araştırılması, mevsimsel değişimlerin ve fizikokimyasal parametrelerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma alanında Bacillariophytadan 20, Chlorophytadan 12, Cyanobacteriadan 1, Euglenophytadan 1 ve Charophytadan 1 olmak üzere toplam 35 türün tespiti yapılmıştır.Çalışmanın bulgularında tür sayısı ve yoğunluğuna göre Bacillariophyta divizyosunun dominant, Chlorophyta divizyosunun ise subdominant olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma süresince sık rastlanılan türlerin Navicula radiosa, Desmodesmus communis ve Trachelomonas volvocina olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan ölçümlerde su sıcaklığının (T) 9.5 ile 26 ºC, pH’ın 8.75 ile 13.7, elektriksel iletkenliğin (EC) 320 ile 710 μscm-1 ve toplam çözünmüş maddenin (TDS) 0.019 ile 0.033 gl-1 arasında değiştiği saptanmıştır.

44. Phytoplankton Ecology of Kocavşar Stream (Balıkesir)

Kocaavşar Deresinden Mayıs 2020 ve Ekim 2020 tarihlerinde iki istasyondan su örnekleri alınıp suyun bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal parametreleri ile fitoplanktonik alg florası incelenmiştir. Yapılan analizlerde, su sıcaklığı (T) 10-27°C, pH 8.77-14.70, elektriksel kondüktivite (EK) 322-712 μScm-1, nitrat azotu (NO3-N) 1.8-2.5 mgl-1, toplam azot (TN) 2.8-4 mgl-1, fosfat (PO4-P) 0.2-0.34 mgl-1 ve toplam fosfor (TP) 0.26-0.4 mgl-1 aralıklarında ölçülmüştür. Fitoplankton örneklerinin analizi sonucu, Bacillariophytadan 9, Chlorophytadan 17, Cyanobacteriadan 5 ve Euglenozoadan 1 olmak üzere toplam 32 tür tespit edilmiştir. Bacillariophytadan Fragilaria capucina, Cyclotella glabriuscula, Cymbella affinis , Diatoma vulgaris, Pinnularia major, Ulnaria ulna var. Oxyrhynchus, Navicula minuta, Nitzschia amphibia, Chlorophytadan Pandorina morum ve Euglenozoadan Phacus pleuronectes baskın türler olarak belirlenmiştir. Korelasyon analizleri, Bacillariophyta grubundan baskınlık gösteren F. capucina ‘nın elektriksel kondüktivite (EK) ve toplam azot (TN) ile, P. majör pH ile, N. amphibia TP ile, C. affinis NO3-N ve TN ile, D. vulgaris ve U.ulna fosfat (PO4-P) ve TP ile yüksek korelasyon göstermişlerdir. Chlorophyta grubunda baskın olan P. morum pH ve EK ile, Euglenozoa grubundan P. pleuronectes sadece EK ile yüksek korelasyon göstermiştir. Su Kirliliği Kontrolü Yönetmeliği, kıtaiçi su kütleleri kalite kriterleri ışığında değerlendirildiğinde toplam fosfora göre Kocaavşar Deresinin III. sınıf, nitrat azotuna göre ise I. sınıf su kalitesinde olduğunu göstermiştir. Baskın fitoplankton türlerine göre ise ötrofik karakterli bir su kütlesidir., Some physical and chemical parameters and planktonic algal flora of the water were examined by taking water samples from two stations from Kocaavşar Stream in May 2020 and October 2020. In the analysis, water temperature (T) ranged from 10 to 27°C, pH from 8.77 to14.70, electrical conductivity (EC) from 322 to 712 μScm-1, nitrate nitrogen (NO3-N) from 1.8 to 2.5 mgl-1, total nitrogen (TN) from 2.8 to 4 mgl-1, phosphate (PO4-P) from 0.2 to 0.34 mgl-1 and total phosphorus (TP) from 0.26 to 0.4 mgl-1. Analysis of phytoplankton samples showed that a total of 32 species were identified, 9 from Bacillariophyta, 17 from Chlorophyta, 5 from Cyanobacteria and 1 from Euglenozoa. Fragilaria capucina, Cyclotella glabriuscula, Cymbella affinis , Diatoma vulgaris, Pinnularia major, Ulnaria ulna var. Oxyrhynchus, Navicula minuta, Nitzschia amphibia from Bacillariophyta, Pandorina morum from Chlorophyta and Phacus pleuronectes from Euglenozoa were determined as dominant species. Correlation analysis showed that F. capucina was correlated with electrical conductivity (EC) and total nitrogen (TN), P. major with pH, N. amphibia with TP, C. affinis with NO3-N and TN, D. vulgaris and U. ulna with phosphate (PO4-P) and TP, P. morum with pH and EC, and P. pleuronectes with EC. According to the Water Pollution Control Regulation, inland water resources quality criteria, based on nitrate- nitrogen values, Kocaavşar Stream is classified as first class, but based on total phosphorus values it is classified as 3rd class water quality. According to the dominant phytoplankton species, it is a eutrophic water body.

45. Determination of phytoplankton and water quality of raw water from Doğancı Dam Lake (Bursa) to treatment plant

Bu çalışmada Doğancı Baraj Gölü’nden arıtma tesisine 20 metre derinlikten Ocak 2018-Aralık 2018 tarihleri arasında haftalık alınan örneklerde (ham su) bazı fiziko-kimyasal, ve ağır metal analizleri ile fitoplankton sayımları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ham su örnekleri şehir şebekesine verilen temiz su (çıkış suyu) ile fiziko-kimyasal açıdan karşılaştırılmıştır. Bağımsız örneklem t-testi sonucuna göre tesis çıkış suyunda arıtmadan sonra sodyum, klorür ve çözünmüş oksijen değerlerinin anlamlı şekilde artış gösterdiği, özellikle bazı ağır metallerin derişiminde ise anlamlı azalma olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ham suda hangi çevresel değişkenlerin önemli olduğunu belirlemek için açıklayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Analiz sonunda üç faktör yükü belirlenmiş ve bu faktörler toplam varyansın % 79,66’sını açıklamıştır. İlk faktör yükünün havzanın jeolojik yapısı ile ilişkili olduğu, ikinci ve üçüncü faktörlerin ise göldeki trofik seviye ve organik kirlilikle ilişkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. İnsani Tüketim Amaçlı Sular Yönetmeliği’ne göre değerlendirme yapıldığında Doğancı Baraj Gölü suyunun içme suyu kalitesinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Fitoplankton sayımı sonucu ham suda 17 takson tespit edilmiştir. Türler ile çevresel değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için redundancy analizi uygulanmıştır. Analiz sonucunda su sıcaklığı (p=0,001; F=11,66), nitrat (p=0,001; F=4,93), toplam organik karbon (p=0,011; F=2,67) ve toplam alkalinitenin (p=0,014; F=2,52) anlamlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ham suda en yoğun ve neredeyse tüm çalışma dönemi boyunca baskın türün Planktothrix rubescens olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan siyanotoksin analizleri sonucunda baraj suyunda toksin tespit edilmemiştir. Ancak Planktothrix rubescens’in toksin üretme potansiyeli olan tür olması nedeniyle sürekli takip edilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. In this study, weekly water samples were taken from Doğancı Dam Lake to the treatment plant from 20 meters depth of the reservoir between January 2018 and December 2018. Some physico-chemical, heavy metal analyzes and phytoplankton counts were made on the water samples. Raw water samples were compared with the clean water (output water) supplied to the city network in terms of physico-chemical variables. According to the independent sample t-test results, it was determined that sodium, chloride and dissolved oxygen values increased significantly in the effluent of the plant after treatment, and there was a significant decrease in the concentration of some heavy metals in particular. Explanatory factor analysis was applied to determine which environmental variables are important in raw water. At the end of the analysis, three factor loads were determined and these factors explained 79.66 % of the total variance. It was determined that the first factor load was related to the geological structure of the basin, while the second and third factors were related to the trophic level and organic pollution in the lake. When the evaluation is made according to the Regulation on Water Intended for Human Consumption, it has been determined that the water of the Doğancı Dam Lake is of drinking water quality. As a result of the phytoplankton count, 17 taxa were determined in the raw water samples. Redundancy analysis was applied to determine the relationships between species and environmental variables. As a result of the analysis, water temperature (p=0.001; F=11.66), nitrate (p=0.001; F=4.93), total organic carbon (p=0.011; F=2.67) and total alkalinity ( p=0.014; F=2.52) was found to be significant. It was determined that Planktothrix rubescens was the most intense and dominant species in the raw water during almost the entire study period. As a result of the cyanotoxin analysis, no toxins were detected in the dam water. However, it was concluded that Planktothrix rubescens should be followed continuously because it has the potential to produce toxins.

46. Komunitas fitoplankton di perairan Danau Laut Tawar Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, Provinsi Aceh

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dinamika struktur komunitas dan biomassa fitoplankton berdasarkan stratifikasi kedalaman di Perairan Danau Laut Tawar. Sampling dilakukan pada empat stasiun dengan masing-masing empat kedalaman, yaitu 0,2 m, 3 m, 10 m, dan 15 m. Pengambilan sampling air dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali dengan interval waktu 14 hari, yaitu selama bulan Maret sampai April 2010. Fitoplankton yang tersaring diamati dibawah mikroskop cahaya. Hasil penelitian mendapati sebanyak 43 jenis fitoplankton yang terbagi kedalam lima kelas, dimana klas yang paling dominan adalah kelas Chlorophyceae (20 genera), diikuti oleh Bacillariophyceae (diatom) sebanyak 9 genera, Cyanophyceae sebanyak 10 genera, kelas Dinophyceae (dinoflagellata) dan Euglenophyceae, masing-masing 2 genera. Komposisi jenis fitoplankton tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun II dengan kedalaman 15 m yaitu sebanyak 24 genera. Kelimpahan fitoplankton tertinggi diperoleh pada stasiun I dengan kedalaman 10 m (38900 sel/l), sedangkan kelimpahan terendah diperoleh pada stasiun III di kedalaman 15 m (3355 sel/l). Kelimpahan fitoplankton secara keseluruhan di dominasi oleh kelas Bacillarophyceae. Selain itu, nilai indeks keanekaragaman fitoplankton menunjukkan keanekaragaman yang relatif sedang 2,34. Nilai indeks keseragaman jenisnya bervariasi dan relatif sedang berkisar antara 0,43 - 0,87, ini menunjukkan bahwa penyebaran jumlah individu tiap jenis juga bervariasi namun tidak ada jenis yang mendominansi.

A strong socio-economic development pressure in South Chile will more and more cause an impact to the present lakes and rivers. Nevertheless, our knowledge concerning the ecological structure and the microbial self-purification capabilities of these lacustrine water bodies is scant but essential for a future sustainable development of land and water use. We studied Lake Laja, a lake already heavily impacted by water diversions for hydropower generation and irrigation. Typical for the Andean region Lake Laja is an oligotrophic water body, limited by nitrogen nutrients. Only very low chlorophyll a and particulate organic carbon (POC) concentrations and a small abundance and biomass of bacteria (mainly ultramicrobacteria) and heterotrophic flagellates were encountered. Weak trophic interrelations were derived from a high bacteria-to-heterotrophic flagellate ratio. For the ten investigated extracellular enzymes (alkaline phosphatase, leucine, arginine-, glycine and tyrosine-aminopeptidase, α-, β-D-glucosidase, α-, β-D-galactosidase, N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase), with the exception of α-D-glucosidase, a broad range of organic matter degradation activities was proven. Probably, due to the N-limitation, organic nitrogen hydrolysing extracellular enzymes reached activities on average of 45 % compared to other studies in oligotrophic waters. The possible effect of N-limitation on extracellular enzyme activities was more pronounced by cell specific extracellular enzymatic activity rates, which exceeded those of other oligotrophic water bodies on average by factor 2. The overall activities of all microbial extracellular enzymes studied proved to be dominated by the dissolved free external enzymes (up to 98 %) over the ectoenzymes which are associated with particulate organic matter (bacterial cell walls, particles, and aggregates). It is concluded that future socio-economic changes, dealing with watershed human intervention (accelerating inorganic and organic loads) as well as global change (temperature and precipitation changes) could lead to significant changes in the ecology of Lake Laja.La gran presión generada por el desarrollo socioeconómico del sur de Chile, está causando cada vez más un mayor impacto en los lagos y ríos allí presentes. Sin embargo, el conocimiento de la estructura ecológica y la capacidad microbiana de autodepuración de los cuerpos de agua lacustres es escasa, pero esencial para un futuro uso sostenible de los recursos agua y suelo. Se estudió el lago Laja, por ser un cuerpo de agua muy afectado por la extracción de agua para la generación de energía hidroeléctrica y el riego. Como es característico de la región andina, el lago Laja es oligotrófico limitado por nutrientes nitrogenados. Se encontraron bajas concentraciones de clorofila a y carbono orgánico particulado (POC), así como bajas abundancias y biomasa de bacterias (principalmente ultramicrobacteria) y de flagelados heterotróficos. Interrelaciones tróficas débiles se determinaron de la relación bacterias y flagelados heterotróficos. Para las diez enzimas extracelulares estudiadas (fosfatasa, leucina-, arginina-, glicina- y tirosina-aminopeptidasa, a-, b-D-glucosidasa, a-, b-D-galactosidasa, N-acetyl-b-D-glucosaminidasa), con la excepción de α-β-glucosidase, se analizó un amplio rango de actividad de degradación sobre la materia orgánica. Probablemente, debido a la limitación de nitrógeno, el N-orgánico hidrolizado por enzimas extracelulares alcanzó una actividad promedio de 45 %, comparada con otros estudios en aguas oligotróficas. El posible efecto de la limitación de N en la actividad enzimática extracelular, fue más pronunciado en las tasas de la actividad enzimática extracelular específicas, las cuales excedieron en un factor promedio de dos a las de otros cuerpos de aguas oligotróficos. En general, la actividad de todas las enzimas extracelulares microbianas estudiadas resultaron estar dominadas por enzimas externas disueltas libres (hasta el 98 %), más que por ectoenzimas asociadas a partículas de materia orgánica (paredes celulares de bacterias, partículas y agregados). De esta manera es posible concluir que los futuros cambios socioeconómicos, reflejados en el incremento de cargas orgánicas e inorgánicas, así como el efecto del cambio global (cambios en temperaturas y precipitaciones), podrían provocar cambios significativos en la ecología del lago Laja.

48. Mert Irmağı Su Kalitesi’ndeki Mekansal ve Zamansal Değişimlerin Fitoplankton Topluluğu ve Biyolojik İndeksler Yardımıyla Belirlenmesi

In order to determine the water quality of the Mert Stream, algal indicators and some biological indices (TDI, IDG, PTI, Palmer, DAIpo) based on phytoplankton species were used. Phytoplankton samples were performed monthly from six different sites at a depth of 0.5 meter using a one-litre water sampler between July 2011 and June 2012. After phytoplankton samples were placed in 250-mL dark bottles and fixed with Lugol’s solution until processed in the laboratory, they were identified and counted in the tubular plankton counting chambers using an inverted microscope according to Utermöhl method. Bacillariophyta members became the dominant division in the phytoplankton with an abundance rate of 83.3% and 71 taxa. Lindavia glomerata, Navicula cryptocephala, Cyclotella planctonica, and Navicula veneta were determined as the most dominant species among phytoplanktonic taxa of Mert Stream. Trophic diatom index (TDI) and Generic diatom index (IDG) based on planktonic diatoms were used to determine the trophic status of the Mert Stream. Pollution tolerance index (PTI), Diatom assemblage index (DAIPo) and Palmer index were also included to assess the organic load-based sabrobity level of the Mert Stream. According to the results of mean TDI and IDG (55 and 13, respectively), the trophic status of the Mert Stream is a mesotrophic structure with moderate nutrients and good water transparency. According to the average PTI result (2.7), Mert Stream is in the β-mesosaprobic class, which corresponds to moderate pollution. Considering DAIpo indice, the saprobity of Mert stream is α-oligosaprobic level and the stream is not exposed to a serious organic-based pollution. However, according to the Palmer index, all stations of the Mert Stream except the 6th station are under the threat of high organic pollution. In present study, it was seen that the best biological index that reflects the station-based trophic structure of the stream is IDG, and the best biological index that reflects the station-based organic pollution of the stream is PTI., Mert Irmağı'nın su kalitesini belirlemek için, algal indikatörler ve fitoplankton temelli bazı biyolojik indeksler (TDI, IDG, PTI, Palmer, DAIpo) kullanılmıştır. Fitoplankton örneklemeleri, Temmuz 2011 ile Haziran 2012 arasında bir litrelik su örnekleyici kullanarak altı farklı noktada 0.5 metre derinlikten aylık olarak gerçekleştirildi. Fitoplankton örnekleri 250 mL’lik koyu renkli kaplara konup laboratuvara taşınıncaya kadar Lugol çözeltisi ile fikse edildikten sonra Utermöhl metoduna göre inverted mikroskoba yerletirilen tüpsü plankton sayım çemberlerinde teşhisleri ve sayımları yapıldı. Bacillariophyta üyeleri % 83.3’lük bolluk oranı ve 71 takson ile fitoplanktonun baskın divizyosu olmuştur. Lindavia glomerata, Navicula cryptocephala, Cyclotella planctonica ve Navicula veneta Mert Irmağı’ndaki fitoplanktonik taksonlar arasında en baskın türler olarak belirlenmiştir. Mert Irmağı'nın trofik durumunu belirlemek için planktonik diyatome temelli Trofik diatom indeksi (TDI) ve Genel diatom indeksi (IDG) kullanıldı. Mert Irmağı'nın organik yük temelli sabrobite seviyesini değerlendirmek için ise Kirlilik tolerans indeksi (PTI), Diatom topluluk indeksi (DAIPo) ve Palmer indeksi dahil edildi. Ortalama TDI ve IDG sonuçlarına göre (sırasıyla 55 ve 13), Mert Irmağı trofik durumu, orta düzey besin ve iyi su şeffaflığına sahip mezotrofik bir yapıdır. Ortalama PTI sonucuna göre (2.7), Mert Irmağı orta düzey kirliliğe karşılık gelen β-mezosaprobik sınıftadır. DAIpo indeksi dikkate alındığında, Mert Irmağı’nın saprofikliği α-oligosaprobik düzeyde olup ırmakta organik kaynaklı ciddi bir kirlilik söz konusu değildir. Fakat, Palmer indeksine göre Mert Irmağı’nın 6. istasyon haricinde tüm istasyonları yüksek organik kirlilik tehdidi altındadır. Bu çalışmada, ırmağın istasyon bazlı trofik yapısını en iyi yansıtan biyolojik indeksin IDG, istasyon bazlı organik kirliliği en iyi yansıtan biyolojik indeksin ise PTI olduğu görülmüştür.

Dana 30. studenog 2022. godine djelatnici Instituta "Ruđer Bošković“, dr.sc. Damir Kapetanović, dr.sc. Božidar Kurtović i Karla Orlić, mag.oecol. iz Laboratorija za akvakulturu i patologiju akvatičkih organizama, Zavod za istraživanje mora i okoliša, proveli su uzorkovanje uzoraka za fizikalno-kemijsku analizu vode i sedimenta te uzoraka za kvantitativno određivanje fitoplanktona u uvali Movar, kod Rogoznice. Fizikalno-kemijski parametri vode izmjereni su odmah na uzgajalištu. Sediment je uzet ispod mjesta uzorkovanja vode, a uzrokovao ga je ronilac Naručitelja. Uzorci vode i sedimenta analizirani su i obrađeni u laboratoriju.

Balıkesir Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Biyoloji Ana Bilim Dalı, Balıkesir ili İvrindi ilçesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan Ardıçtepe Baraj Gölü’nde Ekim-2018 ve Ocak-2020 tarihleri arasında alınan örneklerle fitoplankton türleri ve mevsimsel dağılımları tespit edilerek gölün bazı fiziko-kimyasal analizleri yapılmıştır. Ardıçtepe Baraj Gölü çalışmaları sırasında Bacillariophyta grubuna ait 30, Chlorophyta grubuna ait 6, Cyanobacteria grubuna ait 5, Charophyta grubuna ait 4, Euglenophyta grubuna ait 1 tür olmak üzere toplamda 46 tür tanımlanmıştır. Tanımlanan fitoplanktonların %76’sı Bacillariophyta, %11’i Cyanobacteria, % 6’sı Chlorophyta, %4’ü Charophyta ve %3’ü Euglenophyta’dır. Araştırma süresince Bacillariophyta divizyosunun dominant, Cyanobacteria divizyosunun ise subdominant olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu iki divizyoyu sırasıyla Chlorophyta, Charophyta ve Euglenophyta divizyoları takip etmiştir. Her mevsimde görülen Bacillariophyta divizyosuna ait Cyclotella meneghiniana Kützing 1844 baskın tür olarak belirlenmiştir. Diğer sık rastlanılan türler sırasıyla Aulacoseira granulata var. angustissima, Synedra ulna, Aulacoseria granulata’dır. Araştırma süresi boyunca ölçülen su sıcaklığı 7,4-26,2 ºC, kondüktivite değeri 0,475-0,002 ms/cm, TDS değeri 689-0,201 mg/L, pH değeri 10,81-9,58, ORP değeri 73,3/-48 mV, çözünmüş oksijen değeri 6,69-20,35 mg/L, ışık geçirgenliği 100-220 cm, AKM değeri 0,6044- 0,0048 mg/L, klorofil-a değeri 3,51-0,01 μg/L arasında değişmiştir., Phytoplankton species and seasonal distributions were investigated and some physical and chemical analyses of the lake were performed from samples taken between October-2018 and January-2020 in Ardıçtepe Dam Lake, which is located within the borders of Ivrindi district of Balikesir province. During the Ardıçtepe Dam Lake study, a total of 46 species were identified, 30 from Bacillariophyta, 6 from Chlorophyta, 5 from Cyanobacteria, 4 from Charophyta, and 1 from Euglenophyta. Of the phytoplankton identified, 76% were Bacillariophyta, 11% Cyanobacteria, 6% Chlorophyta, 4% Charophyta and 3% Euglenophyta. During the course of the study, it was determined that Bacillariophyta division was dominant and Cyanobacteria division was subdominant. These two divisios were followed by the Chlorophyta, Charophyta and Euglenophyta divisios, respectively. Cyclotella meneghiniana Kützing 1844 from Bacillariophyta, which is seen in all seasons, has been identified as the dominant species. Other common species were Aulacoseira granulata var. angustissima, Synedra ulna, Aulacoseria granulata, respectively. Water temperature measured as 7.4-26.2 ºC, conductivitt as 0,475-0,002 ms/cm, TDS as 689- 0,201 mg/L, pH as 10,81-9,58, ORP as 73,3/-48 mV, dissolved oxygen as 6,69- 20,35 mg/L, transperency as 100-220 cm, SS as 0.6044-0.0048 mg/L, chlorophyll-a ranged from 3.51- 0.01 μg/L during the study period.
