- Abstract
In current histories of psychoanalysis, Melitta Schmideberg still lives under the shadow of her mother, Melanie Klein. If Schmideberg's name is mentioned at all, it is in the context of the so-called Controversial Discussions that took place at the British Psychoanalytical Society in the early 1940s, in which Schmideberg directly questioned Klein's views. In terms of psychoanalytic contributions, Schmideberg's decades-long work with juvenile and adult offenders is barely mentioned. This article attempts to correct this imbalance by looking at Schmideberg's innovations in offender therapy. Schmideberg understood that the available methods of psychoanalytic therapy (whether Freudian or Kleinian) would not suit patients she engaged with (antisocial, borderline and psychotic patients) and developed her own methodology of working with these groups. The article explores Schmideberg's methods, while focusing specifically on the flexibility of the time, money and spatial frame, the role of reassurance, questions of transference as well as what she called 'group therapy in reverse'. It also presents her virtually unknown work at the Association for the Psychiatric Treatment of Offenders, an institution she founded in the USA, and her thoughts on the role of class in the care system. Recently, quaternionic Fourier analysis has received increasing attention due to its applications in signal analysis and image processing. This paper addresses quaternionic generalized phase retrieval (QGPR) problem in quaternion Euclidean spaces ℍM$$ {\mathrm{\mathbb{H}}}^M $$. We introduce the concept of QGPR which aims to reconstruct a signal f$$ f $$ in ℍM$$ {\mathrm{\mathbb{H}}}^M $$ from the quadratic measurements {fFlf∗}l=0N−1$$ {\left\{f{F}_l{f}^{\ast}\right\}}_{l=0}^{N-1} $$, where each Fl$$ {F}_l $$ is an M×M$$ M\times M $$ self‐adjoint quaternion matrix. We characterize QGPR sequences in terms of their real Jacobian matrices, prove that the set of QGPR sequences is an open set in some sense, and present some phaselift‐based sufficient conditions on QGPR which gives a method to construct QGPR sequences. - Abstract
Quaternionic Hilbert spaces have important applications in quantum physics and the frame theory in quaternionic Hilbert spaces can handle many practical problems in physics. In this paper, we investigate oblique dual and g-dual frames in separable quaternionic Hilbert spaces. We provide a sufficient condition for commutativity of the oblique dual frames in quaternion Hilbert spaces. We present a parametric and algebraic formula for all oblique duals of any given frame in a closed subspace U by utilizing a new (right) pre-frame operator. We prove that the canonical oblique dual has a minimum norm representation of elements in U . We provide a method for constructing an oblique dual frame from two Bessel sequences. We show that g-duality relation is symmetric and get a necessary condition for g-duality of the sum of two g-dual frames. We also present a parametric expression of all g-dual frames of any given frame and show that approximate dual frame pairs form g-dual frames. We study perturbation-stability of g-dual frames. Conventional beam elements ignoring distortion may overestimate the lateral resistance of frames and curved beams made of monosymmetric I-sections. This paper introduces two new distortional modes represented by mechanical couples relative to twisting and shearing of the two flanges that are opposite in directions but unequal in magnitudes. A straight beam element with nine degrees of freedom (DOFs) per node, including the conventional three translations, three rotations, warping and the new two distortions, is newly derived. This allows all the DOFs of the connected elements at a common joint to be easily transformed to the global coordinates for stiffness assembly. As a result, the warping–distortion compatibility problem that occurs in frames and curved beams is resolved. In the numerical examples, the results produced by the present beam element is demonstrated to agree excellently with the shell-element solutions for the lateral-distortional deformation of the angled frame and curved beam. It is observed that the cross-sectional distortion effect becomes extremely significant for angled frames of short unbraced length and for curved beams of high curvature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

RIESZ spaces - Abstract
This paper addresses the dilation problem on (dual) frames for Krein spaces. We characterize Riesz bases for Krein spaces and equivalence ((J1,J2)-unitary equivalence) between frames for Krein spaces; prove that every frame (dual frame pair) for a Krein space can be dilated to a Riesz basis (dual Riesz basis pair) for a larger Krein space, and that the corresponding J-orthogonal complementary frame (J-joint complementary frame) is unique up to equivalence ((J1,J2)-joint equivalence). Also we illustrate that two equivalent Parseval frames for Krein spaces need not be (J1,J2)-unitarily equivalent and that not every Parseval frame can be dilated to a J-orthonormal basis for a larger Krein space, and derive a result on matrices of finite size as application. OPTICAL phase conjugation , *HILBERT space - Abstract
A conjugation on a Hilbert space $ \mathcal {H} $ H means an antilinear bounded operator that the squares to the identity, which generalizes the traditional conjugation on complex Euclidean spaces. In this paper, with the help of normalized conjugation we introduce the notion of conjugate phase retrieval on general Hilbert spaces. We characterize frames that do conjugate phase retrieval; prove that every conjugate phase retrieval frame for $ \mathcal {H} $ H consisting of all real vectors has the complement property in $ \mathcal {H} $ H , and the converse is true if $ dim({\mathcal {H}})\leq ~2 $ dim (H) ≤ 2 ; and also prove that a small perturbation of conjugate phase retrieval frame still gives a conjugate phase retrieval frame if $ dim({\mathcal {H}}) \lt \infty $ dim (H) < ∞ , but it is false if $ dim({\mathcal H})=\infty $ dim (H) = ∞. This article considers the opportunities for learning and inclusive dimensions of role-play based on the reading and interpretation of a canonical text, drawing on a case study involving student-teachers. This exploration of role and learning through drama builds on the foundational work of Bolton and Heathcote. Focusing on students' particular purposes, motivations, and the resources that inform their diverse engagements in drama involves a detailed reflection on the possibilities that role-play offers to support learning in classroom contexts. These findings have implications for a pedagogical approach to teaching texts through drama. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Legal genres are situation-sensitive and one same genre may take different structural and functional patterns according to the historical context within which it is situated. Judicial opinions of ancient China, for example, look like a totally different genre in contrast with the language of modern Chinese judicial documents. It is not uncommon that county magistrates' (ancient Chinese judges) writing considerably downplays the task of reasoning and argumentation and becomes fully devoted to the provision of emotional narratives regarding defendants' wrong-doings and to the meta-communication of imperial ideological values to grassroots. This paper looks into why ideology is a key concern of ancient Chinese judicial writing, what concrete ideological values are actually invoked and how they are interactively disseminated. The analytical framework combines the notion of contextualization (Gumperz, 1982), interactive framing (Tannen, 1993), and footing (Goffman, 1981). Through a nuanced interpretation of the relatedness of imperial ideological values and judicial language structures, the authors attempt to reveal how ancient judicial opinions are built as speech activities of performing identities and activities of presenting ideological stances and beliefs. Quaternion algebra ℍ is a noncommutative associative algebra. In recent years, quaternionic Fourier analysis has received increasing attention due to its applications in signal analysis and image processing. This paper addresses conjugate phase retrieval problem in the quaternion Euclidean space ℍ M with M ≥ 2 . Write ℂ η = { ξ : ξ = ξ 0 + β η , ξ 0 , β ∈ ℝ } for η ∈ { i , j , k } . We remark that not only ℂ η M -vectors cannot allow traditional conjugate phase retrieval in ℍ M , but also ℂ i M ∪ ℂ j M -complex vectors cannot allow phase retrieval in ℍ M . We are devoted to conjugate phase retrieval of ℂ i M ∪ ℂ j M -complex vectors in ℍ M , where "conjugate" is not the traditional conjugate. We introduce the notions of conjugation, maximal commutative subset and conjugate phase retrieval. Using the phase lifting techniques, we present some sufficient conditions on complex vectors allowing conjugate phase retrieval. And some examples are also provided to illustrate the generality of our theory. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a framework for a phenomenology based on pure transcendental phenomenology that examines the nature of both the experience of viewing and creating animation. The technological innovation of film and cinema in general is based upon two overarching principles. The first is the phenomenon of the captured frame and the second is the spectator's phenomenological experience of sequences of such captured frames. It is argued among animation and film theorists alike that the insights offered by the consideration of the phenomenon of the cinematic frame should form the nexus of all film theories. This paper argues that a complete theory of film and cinema should start by explaining this fundamental conceptual bedrock, and that the 'already-created' frame of film restricts insight into the phenomenology of cinema spectatorship. The article also shows how the practice of animation is instrumental to the proposition and elaboration of a phenomenology of animation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CONTINUOUS functions - Abstract
AbstractWe study a variant of extremal disconnectedness in frames, defined by requiring that any two disjoint open sublocales should be separable by disjoint open sublocales each of which is the interior of some zero-sublocale. In spaces, this notion was recently introduced in [1] in order to study some properties of frames of
z -ideals of rings of continuous functions. The point-free approach adopted here brings to the fore some topological results not considered in [1], such as that a densez -embedded subspace of a Tychonoff space has this property if and only if the space containing it has the property. In [1], this was proved only for the embeddingX ⊆βX . We give a ring-theoretic characterization by defining a property off -rings in a transparent manner which shows why the property should be defined the way we do. The property is that if two annihilator ideals meet trivially, then the annihilator of each of the annihilator ideals contains a positive element such that the sum of the two elements is a non-zerodivisor. This study examines the influence of the reinforced-concrete frame topology and crack opening effects on the structural behavior under a column removal scenario. For this purpose, a variant of discretization of the finite element model has been proposed, which takes into account additional rotations during the formation of discrete cracks. As a criterion of the bearing capacity of structures, the equilibrium point at the force-displacement curve was adopted. Verification of the proposed method has been performed using experimental data for a U-shaped frame. The paper provides a comparative analysis of the calculation results for 3-story, 5-story and 9-story reinforced-concrete frames using structural elements and the proposed method. It is found that accounting for the discrete nature of cracks had practically no effect on the magnitudes of axial forces in the elements. However, for bending moments, the proposed method showed a decrease compared to the traditional approach. The increase of axial tensile forces in the support sections of the beam above the zone of local failure has been detected for reinforced-concrete frames with 3 - 5 stories, which can lead to an increase in the influence of buckling for the columns to which such a beam is adjacent. This paper builds on Kohut's creative use of empathy by exploring and delineating the advantages of embracing the concept of permeable boundaries. After describing our theoretical understanding of permeable boundaries, we suggest how its use can facilitate a treatment characterized by an unusual depth, intimacy, and healing. Instead of illustrating the theory using interactions with our patients, we used excerpts from our own therapeutic relationship to capture an experience near understanding of what permeable boundaries looks and feels like in clinical practice. In this way we are proposing a new frame along with a definition which therapists can use to guide and expand their therapeutic work. We then turn to the impact of permeable boundaries on several of the healing processes that occur in many treatments: heightened affective moments, internalization, corrective emotional experiences, the forward edge and interpretative work, and repairing disruptions. Although numerous theoretical references have been made to subliminal stimuli in filmmaking, no quantitative studies to date have sought to specify their temporal limits. Since the 1920s, several filmmakers have aimed to elicit an emotional impact on the viewer through the inclusion of isolated frames, which supposes the minimum possible temporal extension in films. Through two experiments, this study analysed the threshold between subliminal and supraliminal stimuli in films containing potential subliminal stimuli comprising one to four frames, played at frame rates of 25, 30, and 60 frames per second. The first experiment involved asking participants to view a film excerpt, including these stimuli, and then answer a survey. The second required participants to identify potentially subliminal stimuli whilst viewing a film clip. The stimuli analysed could not be defined as subliminal for 100% of viewers for any number of frames per frame rate, but were predominantly unidentified for one-frame stimuli in films played at 24 or 30 frames per second, and one- to three-frame stimuli in films played at 60 frames per second. Furthermore, three- and four-frame stimuli at 24 and 30 frames per second were found to be supraliminal, whilst the results for two-frame stimuli played at 24 or 30 and four-frame stimuli played at 60 frames per second were inconclusive. Future research is needed to analyse the effect of the nature of the image used as a stimulus and its location within a shot or in a cut between shots. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The dissolution (introduced by Isbell in [3], discussed by Johnstone in [5] and later exploited by Plewe in [12, 13]) is here viewed as the relation of the geometry of L with that of the more dispersed T(L) = S(L)
op mediated by the natural embedding and its adjoint localic map γL : T(L) → L. The associated image-preimage adjunction (γL )−1 [−] ⊣ γL [−] between the frames T(L) and TT(L) is shown to coincide with the adjunctionc T(L) ⊣ γT (L) of the second step of the assembly (tower) of L. This helps to explain the role of T(L) = S(L)op as an "almost discrete lift" (sometimes used as a sort of model of the classical discrete lift DL → L) as a dispersion going halfway to Booleanness. Consequent use of the concrete sublocales technique simplifies the reasoning. We illustrate it on the celebrated Plewe's theorem on ultranormality (and ultraparacompactness) of S(L) which becomes (we hope) substantially more transparent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

We offer here a particularly simple and direct construction of the congruence frame of a given frame, aka its assembly, from the bounded meet semilattice of differences of frame elements. The construction enables economical proofs of two of the assembly's known attributes, namely ultranormality and ultraparacompactness, as well as a proof that the assembly is an essential extension of the frame with the same essential closure as the frame. The major new result is that the assembly is free over its meet semilattice of differences. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The impacts of climate change are profound and widespread. Investigating the impact of strategic climate change communication is crucial for informing effective communication strategies and ultimately driving meaningful action toward addressing climate change. This research aims to develop effective climate change communication on Facebook with the objective of fostering sustainable behavior. It seeks to accomplish this by evaluating the influence of strategic climate change frames on sustainable behavior intentions and examining the moderating effect of greenwash awareness. We conducted two experimental studies: A 10 (frames) x 2 (greenwash awareness: high vs. low) between‐subject experiment with 710 responses and a 25 (frames) x 2 (greenwash awareness: high vs. low) between‐subject experiment with 1586 responses. Results indicate that communication framed in natural well‐being, sustainable expertise, and environmental frames encouraged sustainable behavior more than other frames. Multiple frames are more persuasive than single frames in increasing the intention of sustainable action. Greenwash awareness exerts moderating impacts on the framing effects. The current research is the first exploration to shed light on framing strategies of climate change communications by taking non‐climate frames and greenwash awareness into consideration. We offer actionable insights into how enterprises can strategically use frames to improve performance and accountability in sustainable development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The method of association experiment makes it possible to study human cognition and consciousness. The article reviews the particularities of the association experiment and its significance for cognitive sciences. It analyses the methods and principles of association experiment as a method of studying the bonds between psychical processes, cognitive functions, and speech. The author combined standard research methods with those of psycholinguistics to describe various types of association experiments. Association experiments yield important empirical results for the analysis and interpretation of human cognitive structures, thus boosting the development of cognitive sciences. Being interdisciplinary in nature, they provide data about the psychological, cultural, and linguistic personality, i.e., speech and mental operations. Association experiments can be of four types: free, chain, directed, and with continuous reaction. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. As auditory or visual, they can be written-to-written, oral-to-oral, written-to-oral, and oral-to-written. The stimulus can be verbal, nonverbal, or heterosemiotic.

Method. Development of an algorithm for calculating frame buildings of a frame structural system with seismic protection in buildings with flexible connections and with flexible and switchable connections Result. A method for calculating frame buildings of a frame structural system with seismic insulation in the form of flexible connections and flexible and switchable connections has been developed. A computer calculation program for seismically insulated and nonseismically insulated frame buildings in the Delphi 5.0 programming environment in the Object Pascal language using the Runge-Kutta numerical method of the 4th order for solving differential equations has been compiled Conclusion. It is determined that the construction of frame buildings with the seismic insulation methods considered in this paper, namely with flexible connections and with flexible connections and disconnecting connections, is not impractical for territories where long-period fluctuations are possible, due to the fact that excessively high deformations occur.

Introduction: Fire safety in healthcare centers is crucial due to the limited evacuation capacity of the occupants and the necessity of not disrupting the operation in these centers. In this study, the fire risk of a public hospital was evaluated using the Fire Risk Assessment Method for Engineering (FRAME). Additionally, the factors affecting fire safety in the hospital were analyzed quantitavely, and fire control strategies were presented. Material and Methods: First, the fire risk assessment checklist was filled in all the hospital departments. Then, the values of the factors affecting fire safety were obtained. In the next step, the fire risk for the building, occupants and activities were estimated using Excel software-FRAME. Finally, control strategies and intervention measures were presented based on the value of these factors. Results: In the hospital under study, 22% of the departments posed an undesirable fire risk to the building and its property. On the other hand, 90% of the departments had risk levels that were undesirable for the occupants. The results of the initial risk (R0) showed that a balance between potential fire risk and risk acceptance can be established by implementing manual fire extinguishing systems and automatic detectors in all departments. Conclusion: ased on the condition of the hospital studied, a balance between potential fire risk level and risk acceptance level was not established. Therefore, there is a need for fire control measures, especially fire safety measures for the occupants. The results of this study can be useful for readers and experts in interpreting fire risk assessments and presenting detailed control measures based on the risk assessment and the value of the parameters.

The article deals with frame structures in which the concept战争 / WAR serves as a slot in Chinese media discourse. Given Ukraine’s prolonged state of threat, the study of this concept holds a central position in Ukrainian scholarly research, contrasting with its relatively underexplored status in Chinese discourse. This difference prompts an investigation into the features in Chinese media discourse as the most open type of discourse that exchanges concepts with other discourses. The article identifies the types of basic frames (subject frame, taxonomic or hyponymic frame, associative or, in other words, conceptual metaphor), where the concept战争 / WAR is an integral part. It categorizes the basic frames according to the type of propositions that link the slots and describes the linguistic units of Chinese media discourse that represent the semantics of these frames involving the concept战争 / WAR. The subject frame is represented by 战 争即邪恶 zhànzhēng jí xié’è – WAR IS EVIL, where the second slot gives the first one a strong negative evaluation, being its basic conceptual domain. This is manifested through various lexico-grammatical means: in the negative semantics of the representatives of the concept 战争 / WAR, as well as their collocations. The taxonomic (hyponymic) frame is exemplified by 战争即政治 zhànzhēng jí zhèngzhì – WAR IS POLITICS, where the second concept is superordinate to the subordinate first concept. Additionally, the second concept serves as a means of resolving war, thus striving towards the concept和平 hépíng / PEACE. Finally, the third type of frame structures (associative frames) includes these frames: 战争即赌博 zhànzhēng jí dǔbó – WAR IS A GAME, whose main characteristic is unpredictability; 战争即灾难 zhànzhēng jí zāinàn – WAR IS A DISASTER, specifically fire, which can be further specified as 战争即火焰 zhànzhēng jí huǒyàn – WAR IS FIRE; and 战争即戏剧 zhànzhēng jí xìjù – WAR IS A PLAY.

In this paper, we delve into frame theory to create an innovative iterative method for resolving the operator equation $ Lu=f $. In this case, $ L:H\rightarrow H $, a bounded, invertible, and self-adjoint linear operator, operates within a separable Hilbert space denoted by $H$. Our methodology, which is based on the GMRES projective method, introduces an alternate search space, which brings another dimension to the problem-solving process. Our investigation continues with the assessment of convergence, where we look at the corresponding convergence rate. This rate is intricately influenced by the frame bounds, shedding light on the effectiveness of our approach. Furthermore, we investigate the ideal scenario in which the equation finds an exact solution, providing useful insights into the practical implications of our work.

In this paper, an approach is developed to account for the effect of discrete cracks on the response of reinforced concrete building frames under a column failure scenario. The approach implies the introduction of traditional finite element models of discrete ties that take into account the relationship between moments and rotations, considering the specifics of the performance of materials, sections, and structures under conditions of redistribution of forces as a result of initial local failure in the structural system of a building. Validation of the proposed approach is performed on the experimental data. Also, it is compared with the modeling results of the existing approaches. The effect of discrete cracking on the deformed state of reinforced concrete building frames under the scenario of column failure is established. The discrete cracks practically did not affect the values of axial forces in the elements. However, for bending moments within the proposed method, a decrease was observed in comparison with the traditional approach. The analysis of the diagrams shows that for reinforced concrete frames with 3 and 5 stories, there is an excess of tensile axial forces in the beam over the values according to the traditional calculation method.

The effect of service life of a reinforced concrete building frame on its robustness parameters in the case of sudden failure of the outermost column has been investigated. The reinforced concrete frame of a philharmonic hall was chosen as the study subject. In order to evaluate its robustness, a relative robustness index, which is related to the parameters of the failure load for a system with and without initial local failure, has been utilized. Quasi-static modeling using the finite element method taking into account physical and geometric nonlinearity was performed as a part of the study. The physical nonlinearity of concrete, considering long-term operation of the structure, was accounted for by modified bilinear constitutive models of the material. Such models differed for elements with different stress-strain states in long-term operation. The parameters of the constitutive models were obtained using the integral deformation modulus proposed by Bondarenko. This approach has been employed to analyze the deformations and forces in the elements of the load-bearing system in the scenario of the outermost column failure. The curves for the percentage of destroyed elements of the load-bearing structure versus the parameters of the failure load have been plotted for the models with and without initial local failure of the outermost column, as well as for short-term and long-term operation. It is shown that the values of the failure load parameter and the relative robustness index decrease when the service life of the structure is accounted for.

The study is devoted to the explication of the frame LOVE AFFAIR in the lexico-semantic system of the Russian language and speech itself. The research is based on the data from Russian etymological, explanatory dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms, and modern podcasts. The urgency of the research is determined by the undying interest of scientists to the words that reflect stereotypes of people’s social interaction, which is explained by the importance of looking into ethical categories such as human acts. The lexemes that are examined in the study are selected from dictionaries with the help of the definitional analysis. The method of frame modelling is also used in the study to organize the data into a structure. In order to create a frame model of the act the following procedures are involved: the analysis of the semantics of the words that represent the situation of a love affair, the analysis of the synonyms and the combinability of the words. These procedures help to reconstruct the frame of the object in study. The next step is to verify the frame in modern speech. This paper is the first study of the concept LOVE AFFAIR in modern public communication such as podcasts. The choice of the material is explained by the fact that podcasts look at the most important questions from all angles. The research identifies the most important characteristics of all the elements of the situation «love affair», shows the interrelation of these elements, determines the peculiarities of the explication of the model in the language system and modern speech, marks the prototypical meanings of the structural elements. As a result, the conclusion about semantic broadening of the word affair is made, as well as reinterpretation of traditional negative evaluation of the act «love affair».

Objective The international standards adopted in metro vehicle design and verification in China do not fully align with the actual vehicle operating conditions, resulting in the phenomenon of fatigue cracks in some metro vehicle bogie frames before reaching the specified service mileage. It is therefore necessary to study the load characteristics of metro vehicle bogie frames under actual operating conditions. Method Based on long-term tracking test data of B-type metro vehicles, a combination of statistical calculation and STFT (short-time Fourier transform) analysis is used to study the variation law of bogie frame loads from three aspects of line condition, vehicle operation state and passenger load. Result & Conclusion The main load of the bogie frame is highly correlated with line conditions, while local load of the frame are closely related to the vehicle operation state. There is a significant negative linear correlation between damper load and passenger load, while other bogie frame loads, except for lateral rolling loads, show a positive linear correlation with passenger load.

Power comes not only as conventional Compulsory Power but also as Institutional, Structural, or Productive Power. We focus on under-explored Productive Power (the ability to produce and give meaning to social identities and capacities through discursive processes and practices) and the related strategy of rhetorical framing (using particular words or terms to characterise an issue and imply appropriate actions in line with that characterisation). Spotlighting the strategy's dual offensive/defensive utility and relatively low resource requirements, we expect the strategy of rhetorical framing (and counter-framing) to be: (1) prevalent in inter-governmental negotiations, and (2) used even by conventionally 'very weak' states. Employing text analysis on over 5000 observations from the World Trade Organization's (WTO) negotiation transcripts between 1995 and 2020, we confirm that states 'weak' in Compulsory Power are nevertheless wielding Productive Power and its related strategy of rhetorical framing. Whilst conventionally strong states emphasise a Reciprocation Frame (mutual concessions between states), conventionally weak states emphasise a Redistribution Frame (one-way concessions from some states to other states). Such findings make two important contributions: we exhibit the mechanics of an under-explored type of power and show what happens in international institutions when no single rhetorical frame dominates. - Abstract
We develop a hierarchy of semilattice bases (S-bases) for frames. For a given (unbounded) meet-semilattice A, we analyze the interval in the coframe of sublocales of the frame of downsets of A formed by all frames with the S-base A. We study various degrees of completeness of A, which generalize the concepts of extremally disconnected and basically disconnected frames. We introduce the concepts of D-bases and L-bases, as well as their bounded counterparts, and show how our results specialize and sharpen in these cases. Classic examples that are covered by our approach include zero-dimensional, completely regular, and coherent frames, allowing us to provide a new perspective on these well-studied classes of frames, as well as their spatial counterparts. The N-star compactifications of frames are the frame-theoretic counterpart of the N-point compactifications of locally compact Hausdorff spaces. A π -compactification of a frame L is a compactification constructed using a special type of a basis called a π -compact basis; the Freudenthal compactification is the largest π -compactification of a rim-compact frame. As one of the main results, we show that the Freudenthal compactification of a regular continuous frame is the least upper bound for the set of all N-star compactifications. A compactification whose right adjoint preserves disjoint binary joins is called perfect. We establish a class of frames for which N-star compactifications are always perfect. For the class of zero-dimensional frames, we construct a compactification which is isomorphic to the Banaschewski compactification and the Freudenthal compactification; in some special case, this compactification is isomorphic to the Stone–Čech compactification. A quantum injective frame is a frame capable of differentiating states based on their respective frame measurements, whereas the quantum-detection problem associated with frames endeavors to delineate all such frames. In the present paper, the concept of injective frames in infinite dimensional quaternionic Hilbert spaces is introduced. Further, some properties of injective frames such as the invariance of injective frames under invertible operators are discussed and several solutions to the frame quantum-detection problem are given. Finally, by employing operator theory and frames theory in quaternionic Hilbert spaces, some characterizations and classifications of frames for solving the injectivity problem are given. MEETING facilities , *REGRESSION analysis - Abstract
Introduction: The Data‐informed Stepped Care (DiSC) study is a cluster‐randomized trial implemented in 24 HIV care clinics in Kenya, aimed at improving retention in care for adolescents and youth living with HIV (AYLHIV). DiSC is a multi‐component intervention that assigns AYLHIV to different intensity (steps) of services according to risk. We used the Framework for Reporting Adaptations and Modifications‐Expanded (FRAME) to characterize provider‐identified adaptations to the implementation of DiSC to optimize uptake and delivery, and determine the influence on implementation outcomes. Methods: Between May and December 2022, we conducted continuous quality improvement (CQI) meetings with providers to optimize DiSC implementation at 12 intervention sites. The meetings were guided by plan‐do‐study‐act processes to identify challenges during early phase implementation and propose targeted adaptations. Meetings were audio‐recorded and analysed using FRAME to categorize the level, context and content of planned adaptations and determine if adaptations were fidelity consistent. Providers completed surveys to quantify perceptions of DiSC acceptability, appropriateness and feasibility. Mixed effects linear regression models were used to evaluate these implementation outcomes over time. Results: Providers participated in eight CQI meetings per facility over a 6‐month period. A total of 65 adaptations were included in the analysis. The majority focused on optimizing the integration of DiSC within the clinic (83%, n = 54), and consisted of improving documentation, addressing scheduling challenges and improving clinic workflow. Primary reasons for adaptation were to align delivery with AYLHIV needs and preferences and to increase reach among AYLHIV: with reminder calls to AYLHIV, collaborating with schools to ensure AYLHIV attended clinic appointments and addressing transportation challenges. All adaptations to optimize DiSC implementation were fidelity‐consistent. Provider perceptions of implementation were consistently high throughout the process, and on average, slightly improved each month for intervention acceptability (β = 0.011, 95% CI: 0.002, 0.020, p = 0.016), appropriateness (β = 0.012, 95% CI: 0.007, 0.027, p<0.001) and feasibility (β = 0.013, 95% CI: 0.004, 0.022, p = 0.005). Conclusions: Provider‐identified adaptations targeted improved integration into routine clinic practices and aimed to reduce barriers to service access unique to AYLHIV. Characterizing types of adaptations and adaptation rationale may enrich our understanding of the implementation context and improve abilities to tailor implementation strategies when scaling to new settings. HAAR integral , *RATIONAL numbers - Abstract
Recently, Gabor analysis on locally compact abelian (LCA) groups has become the focus of an active research. In practice, the time variable cannot be negative. The half real line ℝ + = (0 , ∞) is an LCA group under multiplication and the usual topology, with the Haar measure d μ = d x x . This paper addresses Gabor frame multipliers and Parseval duals for L 2 (ℝ + , d μ). We introduce and characterize Gabor frame multipliers and Parseval Gabor frame multipliers based on Zak transform matrices. Our Zak transform matrix is essentially different from the conventional Zibulski–Zeevi matrix. It allows us to define Gabor frame generators by designing suitable matrix-valued functions of finite size. We also prove that an arbitrary Gabor frame (g , a , b) admits a Parseval dual frame/tight dual frame whenever ln a ⋅ ln b are rational numbers not greater than 1 2 . [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Frontline workers engaged in enabling employment and activist entrepreneurs strive to reframe disability as they facilitate work inclusion. They do so in an organisational and societal context that emphasises labour-market participation. Frontline workers facilitate this inclusion when they implement and construct disability employment policies at the street level, while activist entrepreneurs do so when they privilege hiring disabled people. Based on interviews in this study within a Norwegian welfare context, I show how both groups of actors strive to abolish a deficit approach in distinct yet overlapping ways. They do so by framing disabled people in terms of their assets and contributions rather than foregrounding their needs and challenges. While the entrepreneurs brought up ways in which disability can be a central part of identity that should be recognised and talked about, the frontline workers promoted assets in an individualised manner. Nevertheless, the deficit approach is maintained in subtle ways. The social political context that emphasises employment for all encourages key stakeholders to abolish the deficit approach to disability. Social actors use different angles or perspectives to understand complex social phenomena, such as disability. Both frontline workers and activist entrepreneurs provide perspectives that highlight disabled people's assets and contributions rather than foregrounding their needs and challenges. Despite engagement in highlighting disabled people's assets, the deficit approach is still maintained in subtle ways. Activist entrepreneurs could provide input into the design of disability employment policies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we delve into frame theory to create an in- novative iterative method for resolving the operator equation Lu = f. In this case, L : H ! H, a bounded, invertible, and self-adjoint lin- ear operator, operates within a separable Hilbert space denoted by H. Our methodology, which is based on the GMRES projective method, in- troduces an alternate search space, which brings another dimension to the problem-solving process. Our investigation continues with the assess- ment of convergence, where we look at the corresponding convergence rate. This rate is intricately in uenced by the frame bounds, shedding light on the eflectiveness of our approach. Furthermore, we investigate the ideal scenario in which the equation finds an exact solution, providing useful insights into the practical implications of our work. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A general structure for space-time that preserves the classical notion of absolute time, and to which we refer as Proto-Galilean space-time, is presented. In this setting, space-time is modeled as a general fiber bundle over the time axis. The motion of a particle is a section of the fiber bundle. A recent framework for continuum mechanics, where configurations are represented by sections of a fiber bundle over the body manifold, is used to formulate the dynamics of a particle and the dynamics of a continuous body in a Proto-Galilean space-time. Authors carried out a theoretical study of the force impact during emergency braking on the strength of the frame of a truck tractor as a part of a road train with a semi-trailer in order to build a model of the dependence of the safety factor index of the frame on the geometric and weight parameters of the car, semi-trailer, transported cargo and the type of the pavement. Using D'Alembert's principle, a generalized calculation scheme of the frame of the semi-trailer and the truck unit after reaching a steady deceleration during emergency braking while maintaining straight-line movement and adhesion of all wheels to pavement was made. Through a static calculation, the dependences for the unknown reactions of the car frame constraints were obtained, its dangerous cross-section was established, and the condition for the static strength of the longeron was determined. Using this condition and the obtained ratios for active and reactive loads, a model of the dependence of the safety margin coefficient of the car frame on the road train parameters was built. By the example of a road train consisting of a KrAZ-6446 truck tractor and a VARZ-6006 semi-trailer the application of the constructed model for evaluating the strength of the car frame and determining the permissible safe zone location of the center of gravity of different weights cargo in the plane of the road train is demonstrated. The method proposed in this work and the built model can be used to study the strength of the frames of truck tractors and semi-trailers of other manufacturers and types and to establish safe schemes for the placement and fastening of loads to ensure the operational reliability of the vehicle and the safety and security of cargo transportation. The present study is aimed at upgrading the passenger car's front inner bumper. The dynamic explicit time-stepping method IMPACT was used to conduct the impact analysis. The programme was first evaluated against experimental findings for beams subjected to impacts at low loads. The deviation between the simulated and experimental findings of the deflected beam ranged from 1.6% to 9.5%. The genuine bumper was subjected to two different kinds of impact simulations. The data were used as a standard against which to compare future bumper improvements. Internal energy absorption is much higher in all the conditions. All three designs are able to absorb more energy without changing their overall performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of sources, actors, and frames on development issues in Ethiopia’s faith media. The quantitative method compares the contents of two Ethiopian religious magazines to this end (Hamer and Hintset). SPSS software was used for data analysis, and both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were used for data presentation. The findings revealed that social development stories were the most frequently found in both magazines. Furthermore, binary logistic regression analysis revealed that story actors and frame types influenced the selection of economic, historical, and moral development stories. The selection of cultural development stories in Hamer magazine, on the other hand, was influenced solely by frame types. The choice of economic, historical, and moral development frames in Hintset magazine was influenced by frame types. Peace development stories in both magazines were influenced by story actors and frame types, and frame types influenced the choice of social development stories in both magazines (Wald = 86, df = 10, p = .000) and (Wald = 57.6, df = 10, p = .000) in Hamer and Hintset magazines consecutively. Finally, the sources, story actors, and frame types of both magazines had no influence on natural resource and political development stories.
