Background Children globally, including in Bangladesh, are facing various forms of online sexual abuse including sextortion, exploitation, body shaming, and blackmail. They are also coerced into engaging in intimate activities, harassed through the sending of sexual content, among other forms of abuse. We aimed to explore the root cause of online child sexual abuse (OCSA) in Bangladesh. Methods This qualitative research design utilized in-depth interviews (IDIs) and key informant interviews (KIIs) between February and April 2022. The study sample comprised 21 school-going children aged 13−17 years, selected from two different geographical settings (10 from rural areas and 11 from urban areas) in Bangladesh using purposive sampling techniques. They participated in in-depth interviews (IDIs) while additional data was obtained through key informant interviews (KIIs) with 11 multidisciplinary stakeholders. Results Children from both rural and urban areas reported facing abuse in various ways, such as being asked to send naked photos, being invited to be naked in video calls, and being invited to have virtual sex, among others, over the internet. Conclusions The government should consider integrating OCSA education into secondary levels. Additionally, there should be efforts to ensure a safe online environment through content scrutiny, promotion of outdoor activities, and community campaigns. An anonymous reporting system must be implemented, and strict measures under the Children's Act must be enforced against perpetrators. Further intervention studies are needed to ensure effective child protection measures in Bangladesh.

The ship breaking industry flourished in Bangladesh after the liberation war in 1971. Since then Bangladesh is leading in this ship breaking sector around the globe. The rapid growth of this industry is specially driven by national iron demands, income generation, and the easy opportunity of employment for the poor people. As most of the workers working here are poor and hail from underdeveloped regions of the country hence this study was designed to find out the obstacles and opportunities that need to encounter when they leave this industry after extensive working years. The instrument used for this research was semi close ended questionnaires, in depth interviews, ethnographic analysis and secondary research. The respondents are from southern and northern parts of Bangladesh, aged 18 years and above. This study revealed that a majority portion of the out migrant workers are sufferings from numerous challenges such as health issue, social stigma, psychological trauma, restricted employment opportunities, limited geographical mobility and so on. Conversely, only a minority of the out migrators are benefited from this industry, specifically those employed in technical or supervisory roles. Water is one of the most important resource among all natural resources on earth. We depend on water for drinking, irrigation and industrial needs as well as for disposal of wastes. More than 70% of the earth's surface is covered by water but availability and quality of water is a major concern. The safety of drinking water is affected by various physio-chemical and microbiological characteristics, which causes serious health problems if exceed the permissible limits. The present study has been carried out with the objective to examine the suitability of ground water in industrial belt of Bhagwanpur Block in District Haridwar (Uttarakhand). Ion Chromatography (IC) technique has been used for the analysis of samples. During the study, it was found that most of the physical and chemical parameters of ground water were within the acceptable and permissible limits as prescribed for drinking water (BIS, 2012). However, continuous discharge of domestic wastes and industrial effluents from various industries may contaminate the ground water in future and cause serious health problems. In places that are highly populated, heavily industrialised and have shallow ground water levels, the problem of ground water quality degradation is quite common. It is therefore recommended to monitor the quality of ground water regularly to ascertain the suitability of ground water for drinking and other domestic needs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study analyzed the current status of care policies and senior citizen issues in Korea, which has entered a super-aging society, and attempted to suggest improvement measures for desirable convergence policies. The problems of the elderly in Korea have emerged as health problems, poverty problems, loss of roles, and care problems due to changes in the concept of family, values, and socioeconomic structure. In addition, poor seniors need jobs and employment policies, and healthy middle-class seniors need policy development to enable leisure activities and volunteer activities. In particular, it is necessary to establish policies to enable people to spend the rest of their lives in elderly care facilities and elderly care hospitals through community care policies. The super-aging society accounts for more than 20% of the total population among those aged 65 or older, and according to the National Statistical Office, it is expected to become a super-aging society by 2025. Elderly welfare policies must provide various programs and the needs and services of elderly care, and in the future, a super-aging society will need to secure a lot of financial resources and maintain a productive population to cover the financial resources. In other words, the human life cycle is from birth to death, and when the ratio of natural deaths of the elderly and infants born is appropriate, the society and the country can be seen as stable, vibrant, and healthy societies. Introduction: Malnutrition is a critical health problem in many countries, including India. The main reason for this is incorrect dietary habits that lead to illness and infections in early childhood. Inadequate food intake can hinder the growth and development of children. Childhood malnutrition can impair psychological and intellectual development, which can subsequently result in low school performance and behavioural disturbances. Therefore, child nutrition is of utmost importance. The knowledge and feeding practices of mothers can significantly influence child nutrition. Hence, it is essential to study the knowledge, feeding practices, and nutritional status of children as influenced by their mothers. Aim: To was to determine the correlation between the knowledge of mothers regarding child nutrition, their feeding practices, and the nutritional status of children. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional correlational study was conducted in a 1050-bed multispecialty tertiary care hospital in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India, from December 30, 2021, to August 30, 2022. A total of 150 children under the age of five, visiting the hospital accompanied by their mothers, were selected as study participants using a non probability convenience sampling technique. Data was collected using a demographic proforma, a structured knowledge questionnaire on child nutrition, a structured checklist on feeding practices, and anthropometric measurements of children, which were taken using a digital weighing scale and stadiometer. Descriptive statistics including mean, frequency, percentage, Karl Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and World Health Organisation (WHO) Anthro software were used for statistical analysis. Results: The majority of the study participants, 96 (64%), had average knowledge regarding child nutrition, while all of them had good child feeding practices. Regarding the nutritional status of the children, the majority fell under the normal category based on weight for height (123, 82%), weight for age (118, 78.67%), and height for age (104, 69.33%). This study examines how gender interacts with polyvictimization patterns in survivors' health problems using 8,587 survivors of intimate partner violence from the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, a nationally representative sample collected in 2010. Polyvictimization included six categories that were created in our previous work: sexual violence, physical and psychological violence, coercive control, multiple violence, stalking, and psychological aggression. Multiple violence was associated with chronic pain, headache, difficulty sleeping, and poor health perception. Females experiencing coercive control were more likely to have chronic pain than males. Health problems have always been an inevitable aspect in the daily activities of society. In the context of Indonesia's health care system, the government is trying to revitalize primary care programs that are believed to be able to improve public health status in general. However, medical and health workers who are in primary health care often face difficult obstacles, especially in carrying out therapeutic services to patients. This research aims to examine thee rights, obligations, and authorities of medical and health personnel in primary health services. The method used is normative research. Therefore, the research conducted is prescriptive analytical, namely describing, analyzing, concluding the problems that become the object of research. The approach in this writing is a statute approach and conceptual approach. An adequate understanding of the rights, obligations and limits of authority as mandated in Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health will undoubtedly ensure that all Medical and Health Workers who perform primary health services are guaranteed protection by law as long as in carrying out their practice they are obliged to provide Health Services in accordance with professional standards, professional service standards, standard operating procedures, and professional ethics and obtain approval from Patients. Scorpion sting accidents are a public health problem in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The increasing and high incidence of cases in urban areas reveals the importance of studies to determine the epidemiological profile and the spatial distribution of these accidents. This is a retrospective study that describes and analyzes the cases of scorpion stings in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Northeast Brazil, from 2007 to 2018. Data from the Information System database of Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) were obtained from the Secretary of Health of Rio Grande do Norte. 31,368 accidents due to scorpion stings were reported, more frequently in urban areas of Natal, whose Human Development Index is low. The cases occurred predominantly in hot and humid regions, mainly affecting women aged between 30 and 60 years. Most individuals sought medical attention within 3 h of the incident. The severity and mortality of the injured individuals varied according to the area of occurrence, age of the patient, and the local and systemic symptoms presented. Pain, numbness, and edema were the most frequent local symptoms, and systemic symptoms were frequently described as headache, hyperthermia and sweating. Orofacial pain represents one of the most common health problems that negatively affects the activities of daily living. However, the mechanisms underlying these conditions are still unclear, and their comprehensive management is often lacking. Moreover, even if pain is a common symptom in dentistry, differential diagnostic procedures are needed to exclude other pain origins. Misinterpretation of the pain origin, in fact, can lead to misdiagnosis and to subsequent mismanagement. Pain in the orofacial area is the most common reason for patients to visit the dentist, but this area is complex, and the pain could be associated with the hard and soft tissues of the head, face, oral cavity, or to a dysfunction of the nervous system. Considering that the origins of orofacial pain can be many and varied, a thorough assessment of the situation is necessary to enable the most appropriate diagnostic pathway to be followed to achieve optimal clinical and therapeutic management. With the progressive lengthening of the average age of the population, especially in some countries such as Italy, vaccination of the elderly is a fixed point on which most of the public health efforts are concentrating as epidemic infectious diseases, especially those of the winter, have a major impact on the progression of severe disease, hospitalization, and death. The protection of the elderly against acute infectious diseases should not only limit mortality but also have a positive impact on the fragility of these people in terms of less disability and fewer care needs. However, vaccination of the elderly population differs in efficacy and safety compared to that of other population categories since aging and the consequent loss of efficiency of the immune system lead to a reduction in the immunogenicity of vaccines without achieving a lasting antibody coverage. There are various strategies to avoid the failure of immunization by vaccines such as resorting to supplementary doses with adjuvant vaccines, increasing the dosage of the antigen used, or choosing to inoculate the serum relying on various routes of administration of the vaccine. Vaccination in the elderly is also an important factor in light of growing antibiotic resistance because it can indirectly contribute to combating antibiotic resistance, reducing theoretically the use of those agents. Furthermore, vaccination in old age reduces mortality from infectious diseases preventable with vaccines and reduces the same rate of resistance to antibiotics. Given the importance and complexity of the topic, in this review, we will deal with the main aspects of vaccination in the elderly and how it can influence mortality and healthcare costs, especially in those countries where population aging is more evident. The regulation of Nursing Practice increasingly encourages nurses to carry out independent practice legally. 447 practitioners in mid-2021 provide health care in Lampung, but there is no data about services available. This study aims to get an overview of the health problems served by practitioners. The research was held with a descriptive design. Data was collected by internet through a consecutive sampling of the population and gaining a sample of as many as 178 respondents. They were obtained and spread over 227 sub-districts throughout Lampung Province. The data is processed through cleaning and editing stages, equating terms, and then calculating the frequency. The results showed most cases are respiratory tract disorders (infections) with 167 cases. But non-communicable health problems become dominant such as gastrointestinal disorders and hypertension. Suggestions are given to professional organizations related to problem management in interprofessional collaboration, forming clinical pathways, and planning to increase understanding and application of standard diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions with a uniform nursing language in Indonesia.

PURPOSE This study aimed to provide evidence for improving the working environment by exploring the phenomenon of presenteeism experienced by coaches. METHODS Ten coaches experiencing presenteeism were selected as participants of the study using the snowball sampling method, and in-depth interviews were conducted. The in-depth interviews were conducted for about 50 to 60 min using semi-structured questions organized through pre-expert meetings, and inductive content analysis was conducted. RESULTS First, the health problems that developed while coaching were categorized into two detailed areas (physical and psychological symptoms). Second, the causes of presenteeism were categorized into four general areas (policy and institutional problems, poor job environment, athlete problems, and human relations). Third, performance loss due to presenteeism was categorized into two general areas (coach-athlete relationship damage and poor training performance). Finally, coping with presenteeism was categorized into three detailed areas (private time spending, joining acquaintances, and changing training methods). CONCLUSIONS The result of this study confirmed that coaches are currently experiencing the phenomenon of presenteeism for various reasons, and the symptoms and coping method for this differ with each individual. However, the phenomenon of presenteeism experienced by coaches requires further future research since it is not easily observed and the coping method is not efficient.

The World Health Organization (WHO) states that rabies is a disease neglected in its management and has become a problem, especially in poor areas. It is estimated that 55,000 rabies deaths occurred worldwide in 2018. From 2015 to 2019, there were 404,306 cases of rabigenic wounds inflicted by animal bites in Indonesia, with 544 deaths. West Kalimantan Province is one of the areas endemic to rabies and one of the five provinces with the highest number of deaths due to rabies. Methods This was a case-control study of patients who presented to the health service for potentiallyrabigenic wounds inflicted by animal bites and being diagnosed with rabies exposure. The post-mortem examination was carried out to support the diagnosis of exposure to rabies. Cases were defined as those who had experienced dog bites from the health services medical register from 2015 to 2019. Controls were defined as those who lived in the same area as patients from the cases group and were owners of potentially rabigenic animals. The research was performed in Landak and Sanggau Regencies, West Kalimantan. Results The results showed an association between the following risk factors and the incidence of rabies: animal care (p=0.033), rabies vaccine (p=0.006), and behavior (p=0.011), while other risk factors were knowledge (p=1.000) and attitude (p=0.840). Conclusions The study's findings inform rabies prevention and eradication, particularly in the province of West Kalimantan, which has experienced issues related to the population power of rabiestransmitting animals, as well as the process of vaccinating rabies-transmitting animals and a lack of public awareness. Epidemiological data is a valuable source for decision-making in a clinical setting or from a public health perspective. It serves not only direct purposes by supporting evidence-based treatment but also indirectly contributes to guidelines and policies in healthcare services. Currently, there remains a pressing need for further epidemiological or population-based studies to be conducted in Indonesia. The availability of health data and information specifically from the Indonesian population is still limited and highly sought after. It is common for us to depend on epidemiological data from foreign countries, but this practice can introduce bias into our decision-making process due to the disparities between their conditions and our own. Indonesia possesses a distinct socio-demographic and health landscape, setting it apart from other countries. The diverse range of diseases, risk factors, healthcare access, health equity, and geographical characteristics all contribute to the uniqueness and variability of health problems within the nation. Specific regions across the Indonesian archipelago encounter health issues that are distinct to their locations. Infectious diseases, particularly tropical diseases, and nutrient deficiencies continue to present significant challenges in numerous provinces throughout Indonesia. Variations are observed across different areas and timeframes of study. These dynamic and variable factors make population studies particularly intriguing. It is the responsibility of clinicians, researchers, and epidemiologists to delve into the intricacies of the population and study its health problems comprehensively.

The most common treatment for resident's health problems is pharmacological. Little research has been done on how an intervention with a non-pharmacological method, such as a weighted blanket, Through the nursing staff view, we can learn how weighted blankets influence resident's health in nursing homes. The aim of this study was to explore nursing staff's experiences of how an intervention with weighted blankets influenced resident's expressions of health. The study had a descriptive qualitative design with semi-structured interviews with 20 nursing staff working in nursing homes, and an inductive content analysis was applied. The nursing staff expressed that the weighted blanket positively influenced resident's health in the areas of sleep, physical activity, and psychological behaviour. The weighted blanket made them fall asleep faster, sleep was uninterrupted andthey felt more rested in the morning. The nursing staff observed an increased level of activity as the resident became more energetic. The nursing staff also experienced reduced negative psychological behaviours like anxiety and worrying. This study indicated that the weighted blanket changed the health expression of resident in several crucial areas. Conclusions The study's findings inform rabies prevention and eradication, particularly in the province of West Kalimantan, which has experienced issues related to the population power of rabiestransmitting animals, as well as the process of vaccinating rabies-transmitting animals and a lack of public awareness. Introduction: The Indonesian government has adopted a policy of implementing Work From Home (WFH) to prevent the increasing number of Covid-19 transmissions. The enforcement of WFH has an impact on the health of female workers. Health problem was the certain health disorders that arise in a person are caused by certain situations. The purpose of this study was to examine the prevalence of health problems and related factors in female workers during the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia. Methods: We applied to the online survey during the second year of pandemic COVID-19 in Indonesia, between April and June 2021. This cross-sectional study is data acquired from an online survey by 102 female workers. We classify female workers into several groups based on their health problems, such as age, education level, occupation, and marital status. We collected the data, then examined it statistically. Results: From the total of female workers respondents, the prevalence of health problems was 54%. Furthermore, after statistical examination, we found out that the occupation factor has a correlation with health problems, and the teachers/lecturers had the biggest percentage of health problems, as much as 61.2%. Conclusion: There were a lot of female workers who had health problems during the COVID-19 pandemic, which related to her occupation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Orofacial pain represents one of the most common health problems that negatively affects the activities of daily living. However, the mechanisms underlying these conditions are still unclear, and their comprehensive management is often lacking. Moreover, even if pain is a common symptom in dentistry, differential diagnostic procedures are needed to exclude other pain origins. Misinterpretation of the pain origin, in fact, can lead to misdiagnosis and to subsequent mismanagement. Pain in the orofacial area is the most common reason for patients to visit the dentist, but this area is complex, and the pain could be associated with the hard and soft tissues of the head, face, oral cavity, or to a dysfunction of the nervous system. Considering that the origins of orofacial pain can be many and varied, a thorough assessment of the situation is necessary to enable the most appropriate diagnostic pathway to be followed to achieve optimal clinical and therapeutic management.

With the progressive lengthening of the average age of the population, especially in some countries such as Italy, vaccination of the elderly is a fixed point on which most of the public health efforts are concentrating as epidemic infectious diseases, especially those of the winter, have a major impact on the progression of severe disease, hospitalization, and death. The protection of the elderly against acute infectious diseases should not only limit mortality but also have a positive impact on the fragility of these people in terms of less disability and fewer care needs. However, vaccination of the elderly population differs in efficacy and safety compared to that of other population categories since aging and the consequent loss of efficiency of the immune system lead to a reduction in the immunogenicity of vaccines without achieving a lasting antibody coverage. There are various strategies to avoid the failure of immunization by vaccines such as resorting to supplementary doses with adjuvant vaccines, increasing the dosage of the antigen used, or choosing to inoculate the serum relying on various routes of administration of the vaccine. Vaccination in the elderly is also an important factor in light of growing antibiotic resistance because it can indirectly contribute to combating antibiotic resistance, reducing theoretically the use of those agents. Furthermore, vaccination in old age reduces mortality from infectious diseases preventable with vaccines and reduces the same rate of resistance to antibiotics. Given the importance and complexity of the topic, in this review, we will deal with the main aspects of vaccination in the elderly and how it can influence mortality and healthcare costs, especially in those countries where population aging is more evident. Therefore, we conducted a systematic literature search in PubMed to identify all types of studies published up to 31 May 2023 that examined the association between vaccination and the elderly. Data extraction and quality assessment were conducted by two reviewers (PC and TC) who independently extracted the following data and assessed the quality of each study.

Purpose The most common treatment for resident’s health problems is pharmacological. Little research has been done on how an intervention with a non-pharmacological method, such as a weighted blanket, Through the nursing staff view, we can learn how weighted blankets influence resident’s health in nursing homes. The aim of this study was to explore nursing staff’s experiences of how an intervention with weighted blankets influenced resident’s expressions of health. Methods The study had a descriptive qualitative design with semi-structured interviews with 20 nursing staff working in nursing homes, and an inductive content analysis was applied. Results The nursing staff expressed that the weighted blanket positively influenced resident’s health in the areas of sleep, physical activity, and psychological behaviour. The weighted blanket made them fall asleep faster, sleep was uninterrupted andthey felt more rested in the morning. The nursing staff observed an increased level of activity as the resident became more energetic . The nursing staff also experienced reduced negative psychological behaviours like anxiety and worrying. Conclusion This study indicated that the weighted blanket changed the health expression of resident in several crucial areas. Deep pressure treatment indicates an alternative health-improved treatment for resident in nursing homes.

BackgroundChildhood cancer survivors (CCSs) have a lifelong increased risk of chronic health problems, most of which are associated with the curative therapies. Recent studies have suggested that prospective active screening using comprehensive assessments for CCSs is superior in identifying undiagnosed chronic health problems.MethodsTo assess the significance of active screening using comprehensive medical examinations for detecting chronic health problems in multiple organ systems in CCSs, we retrospectively compared the frequency and severity of health problems between two different cohorts of CCSs in a single institution: 110 CCSs who visited the outpatient clinic for regular follow-ups between December 2010 and December 2015 (regular follow-up group) vs. 58 CCSs who underwent comprehensive medical examinations between February 2016 and September 2019 (active screening group). CCSs were defined as patients aged ≥ 18 years who had been diagnosed as having childhood cancer ≥ 10 years before and had survived without cancer for ≥ 5 years.ResultsPatient characteristics were similar between the two groups except for primary diagnosis (more brain tumors and embryonal tumors in the active screening group) and treatment history (more alkylating agents used and surgical interventions performed in the active screening group). The prevalence and the median number of health problems were significantly higher in the active screening group than in the regular follow-up group: 93% vs. 67% and 1.0 [0.0–8.0] vs. 2.0 [0.0–7.0] respectively. In term of organ-specific health problems, pulmonary dysfunction, neurocognitive impairment, ocular abnormalities, and dental abnormalities were identified more in the active screening group, partly because these problems had not been assessed in the regular follow-up group. Nevertheless, the prevalence of grade 3–5 health problems was similar between the two groups, except for pulmonary dysfunction.ConclusionActive screening using comprehensive medical examinations was effective for identifying health problems in CCSs. Although the prevalence of severe problems identified by both approaches was similar, comprehensive medical examinations could detect overlooked problems such as severe pulmonary dysfunction, dental maldevelopment, and borderline intellectual functioning, which might have an impact on quality of life in CCSs.

Although the nutritional and health benefits of buckwheat foods have been widely discussed and evaluated, studies on consumer perceptions of the health benefits of buckwheat functional foods and how these perceived benefits influence their consumption are scarce. On the basis of the theory of planned behavior, this study aimed to explore consumers' purchase intention and behavior toward buckwheat functional foods while assessing the impact of their perceived susceptibility and severity of health concerns on the purchase decisions for such foods. Using data from 1077 participants collected in person from Southwest China, we compared the influencing factors between consumer groups based on whether they were aware of the nutritive and health benefits of buckwheat. The results indicated that, apart from consumers' perceived behavioral control, their perceived susceptibility and perceived severity of three selected common health problems, perceived value and efficacy of buckwheat, and subjective norms were strong predictors of consumers' purchase decisions. Moreover, perceived susceptibility and severity were effective antecedents of the perceived value and efficacy of buckwheat, respectively. Consumers aware of buckwheat's nutritive and health benefits of buckwheat were less affected by perceived efficacy. This study highlights that the higher the susceptibility to the three selected common health problems, the greater the internal and behavioral changes toward the purchase of buckwheat functional foods. These findings reveal factors affecting consumers' healthy eating beliefs, which can be beneficial for both policymakers and marketers in formulating healthy diet policies and strategies in developing countries.

ObjectiveThe study aimed to understand the distribution of health problems of a general practice clinic to provide guidance on how to develop primary care in Shenzhen, China.Study designThis is a cross-sectional study.MethodsPatients' sociodemographic data and diagnoses were recorded from the electronic medical record system of the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital from Jan 2014 to Dec 2020 and coded using the International Classification of Primary Care-2. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the distribution of health problems.ResultsA total of 368,167 health problems were recorded. Respiratory, digestive, musculoskeletal, general, and cardiovascular were the top five categories, which accounted for 67.71% of the total in this study. Acute upper respiratory tract infection (AURTI) was the most common health problem (6.67%). Chronic diseases, including hypertension and diabetes mellitus, accounted for about 7% of all health problems. The proportion of cardiovascular problems increased significantly with age (r = 0.96, P < 0.05). The proportion of consultations for mental health problems was low in all age groups.ConclusionsThe results represent an understanding of the common health problems of patients in Shenzhen city, which can provide a reference for preventing diseases and developing primary care.

The macroeconomic effect of the obesity epidemic on environmental degradation was examined for panel data from thirty-one European countries from 1991 to 2016. The quantile via moments model (QVM) was used to realize our empirical investigation. The empirical results indicate that the obesity epidemic, electricity consumption, and urbanisation encourage environmental degradation by increasing CO2 emissions, while economic growth decreases them. Moreover, we identify that the obesity epidemic raises the environmental degradation problem in three ways. First, the obesity epidemic is caused by the increased consumption of processed foods from multinational food corporations. The increase in food production will positively impact energy consumption from non-renewable energy sources. Second, obesity reduces physical and outdoor activities, increasing the intensive use of home appliances and motorized transportation and screen-viewing leisure activities, consequently increasing energy consumption from non-renewable energy sources. A third possible way can be related indirectly to economic growth, globalization, and urbanisation. This empirical investigation will contribute to the literature and for policymakers and governments. Therefore, this investigation will encourage the development of initiatives to mitigate the obesity problem in European countries and accelerate the energy transition process. Abstract Background Today,. most people use the Internet to seek online health-related information from general public health-related websites and discussion groups. However, there are no Internet-based analyses of health information needs pertaining to diabetes in China until now. With the development of artificial intelligence,we can analyzed these online health-related information and provide references for health providers to improve their health service. Methods We have done a study of statistically analyzing the questions about diabetes collected from 39 health website, the number of which is 151,589. We have divided these questions into 9 categories using a convolutional neural network. Results The diabetes problems of consumer are presented as follows, diagnosis: 34.95%, treatment: 25.17%, lifestyle: 21.09%, complication: 8.00%, maternity-related:5.00%, prognosis: 2.59%, health provider choosing: 1.40%, prevention: 1.23%, others: 0.58%, The elderly are more concerned about the treatment and complications of diabetes, while the young are more concerned about the maternity-related and prognosis of diabetes. The diabetes drugs most frequently mentioned by consumers are insulin, metformin and Xiaoke pills, The most concerned complication is caidiovascular disease and diabetic eye disease. Conclusion Diabetes health education should focus on how to prevent diabetes and the contents of health education should be different for differernt age groups;on diabetes treatment, the use of insulin and oral hypoglycemic drugs education should be strengthened.

INCREASING THE ABILITY IN OVERCOMING STUNTING AND HEALTH PROBLEM BY COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT IN SUKOGIDRI VILLAGE, JEMBER. Indonesia has a high prevalence of stunting, and Jember is one of the six districts in East Java province that contribute to stunting prevalence. To overcome the stunting problem, it needs a holistic strategy including health, education and economic aspects, therefore the community empowerment is an important approach. The purpose of this public service program was to increase the awareness and capability of the community to overcome stunting and health problem by community empowerment. Several activities were conducted in this community service program, i.e. by examining the health status of the children, pregnant woman, and high risk people, counseling and education about stunting and the effect on health status and also the effect for the next generation, education about the efforts to prevent stunting, provide training to prepare a healthy food and specific training for the cadres who responsible for the stunting-alleviation program. The impact of the activity was an increase the knowledge and awareness of the community about stunting. And there were several trained-cadres about stunting and its prevention.

Introduction: There is no clear consensus as to what constitutes an obstructive ventilatory impairment (OVI) in pediatric populations., Aim: To determine the percentage of children/adolescents having an OVI among those addressed for spirometry after taking into account the definitions advanced by some international scholarly societies [British Columbia (BC), British thoracic-society (BTS), Canadian thoracic society (CTS), European respiratory society and American thoracic society (ERS-ATS), global initiative for asthma (GINA), Irish college of general practitioners (ICGP), national asthma council (NAC), national institute of clinical excellence (NICE), Société de pneumologie de langue française, Société pédiatrique de pneumologie et allergologie (SPLF-SP2A), and South African thoracic society (SATS)]., Methods: This bi-centric cross-sectional study involves two medical structures in Sousse/Tunisia, and will encompass children/adolescents aged 6-18 years. A medical questionnaire will be administered, clinical and anthropometric data will be collected, and the spirometric data will be measured by two spirometers. The following six definitions of OVI will be applied: i) GINA: Forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) < 80% and a FEV1/forced vital capacity (FVC) ≤ 0.90; ii) ICGP: FEV1/FVC < 0.70; iii) ERS-ATS or BTS or SATS or SPLF-SP2A or NAC: FEV1/FVC z-score < -1.645; iv) NICE: FEV1/FVC < 0.70 or FEV1/FVC z-score < -1.645; v) CTS: FEV1/FVC < 0.80 or a FEV1/FVC z-score < -1.645; and vi) ERS: "FEV1 z-score or FEV1/FVC z-score" < -1.645 or "FEV1 or FEV1/FVC" < 0.80., Expected Results: The percentage of children/adolescents having an OVI will significantly vary between the six definitions., Conclusion: The frequency of OVI in a pediatric population will depend on the definition chosen.

Objective: Adequate training and protective measures are some of the effective ways to preventi latex allergy. This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge about latex allergy, behavioral patterns and the incidence of latex allergy. Methods: Four hundred ten healthcare workers (HCWs) were invited to participate in a survey and answer a questionnaire on the level of knowledge and protective methods of latex allergy. A second supplemental questionnaire was applied to 53 HCWs who were diagnosed with latex allergy or had symptoms of latex exposure. Results: The study population consisted of 410 HCWs; 240 (61.9%) were female and had a median working duration of 5 (IQR: 0.13-38) years. 74 (18%) HCWs described symptoms after latex exposure with a median working time of 34.5 (IQR: 21-50) years. Despite the symptoms, skin test was not performed 41 (78.8%) of 74 patients. When the knowledge levels of protection methods from the latex allergen were compared, research assistants and nurses were found to be more than the technicians (p=0.047, p=0.016, respectively). When the anxiety level was compared between occupational groups, it was significantly higher in nurses and technicians compared to research assistants (p=0.012, p=0.001, respectively). Conclusion: The data indicated that HCWs are not adequately informed about latex allergy, and comparing the occupational groups, this fact was more remarkable among technicians. Continuing education of HCWs regarding latex allergy, appropriate diagnostic tests in the presence of symptoms, and taking effective protective measures are essential steps in the fight against latex allergy. Background: Obesity is a common health problem and it is increasing around the world. Herbal drugs are the most commonly used alternative treatment for weight reduction. The aim of this study was to identify the most commonly used plants for the treatment of obesity or to reduce the weight of patients with obesity and to determine the usage rate of herbal drugs in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on people who were overweight and obese in Dammam (Eastern Region), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by using pretested questionnaire. Participants were randomly selected for this questionnaire study. P value was calculated by using chi-square test. Results: A total of 500 participants were selected, of which 355 participants completed the questionnaire-based study and the remaining 145 were excluded from the study. The majority (n = 190, 53.52%, P > 0.05) used herbal drugs to reduce weight. The most commonly used herbal drugs included green tea (53.52%, P > 0.05), ginger (31.54%, P < 0.01), and flax seed (17.46%, P < 0.01). However, nearly 35% of participants stated that they had unwanted effects; therefore, majority of the participants stated they would use herbal drugs in future to reduce weight. Conclusion: This investigation showed that the treatment to reduce weight of those who were overweight or obese by herbal drugs and the usage rate of herbal drugs/fruits/vegetables were high in Dammam. Further investigations are required to prove the efficacy of herbal drugs and their side effects for the treatment of obesity. A community awareness program is essential to explain the positive and adverse effects of herbal drugs.
