The main objective of the present research was to know the variables of the game in padel determining in the sport performance in men's category in the season 2022–2023 in World Padel Tour. The independent variables considered in this study were: court side, laterality, stroke type, origin of the ball, net distance, shot direction and trajectory. The dependent variable was the effectiveness of the game actions. Four thousand five hundred and five game actions were analysed during the finals of the four masters (Marbella, Valladolid, Madrid, Buenos Aires) and the final master (Barcelona) of the 2022–2023 season of the World Padel Tour were analysed. The multinomial logistic regression applied showed that, the variables that predict the effectiveness of the game actions are: stroke type, net distance, shot direction and trajectory (level of statistical significance was p <.05). Specifically, our results show us that the stroke type that we must use to be more effective and score points is the smash, we must hit down the line, from areas close to the net and with a downward trajectory. These results show the characteristics of the game actions that determine the performance with the aim that they can help guide coaches in the training process of padel players. Sugarcane is the world's largest cultivated crop by biomass and is the main source of sugar and biofuel. Sucrose phosphate synthase (SPS) enzymes are directly involved in the synthesis of sucrose. Here, we analyzed and compared one of the important gene families involved in sucrose metabolism in a high and low sucrose sugarcane cultivar. A comprehensive in silico analysis of the SoSPS family displayed their phylogenetic relationship, gene and protein structure, miRNA targets, protein interaction network (PPI), gene ontology and collinearity. This was followed by a spatial expression analysis in two different sugarcane varieties. The phylogenetic reconstruction distributed AtSPS, ZmSPS, OsSPS, SoSPS and SbSPS into three main groups (A, B, C). The regulatory region of SoSPS genes carries ABRE, ARE, G-box, and MYC as the most dominant cis-regulatory elements. The PPI analysis predicted a total of 14 unique proteins interacting with SPS. The predominant expression of SPS in chloroplast clearly indicates that they are the most active in the organelle which is the hub of photosynthesis. Similarly, gene ontology attributed SPS to sucrose phosphate synthase and glucosyl transferase molecular functions, as well as sucrose biosynthetic and disaccharide biological processes. Overall, the expression of SPS in CPF252 (high sucrose variety) was higher in leaf and culm as compared to that of CPF 251 (low sucrose variety). In brief, this study adds to the present literature about sugarcane, sucrose metabolism and role of SPS in sucrose metabolism thereby opening up further avenues of research in crop improvement. Traditional physical chemistry experiments, including heat of combustion, transference number determination using the moving-boundary method, and critical micelle concentration, are discussed by means of a case study. This case study is a necessary supplement and improvement of the experimental content and dataanalysis process for meeting the requirements of high-level innovation and competency. Practice showed that the enrichment and strengthening of the experimental theories and models effectively improved the academic levels of experimental teaching. Optimizing the allocation of university resources to improve the efficiency of inputs and outputs is an important issue for the high-quality development of universities. In recent years, China has become an important growth pole for the development of global higher education. In particular, Chinese agricultural universities, with their distinctive disciplinary characteristics and outstanding professional advantages, have made important contributions to the sustainable development of agricultural education around the world. In contrast, academic research on the efficiency of resource allocation in Chinese agricultural universities is very limited. To fill this gap, this study was guided by econometrics and took high-level agricultural universities in China as the research object to measure the effects of financial investment, disciplinary differences, and development level on the level of resource allocation efficiency of universities. With the help of a data envelopment model (DEA) and a Malmquist index decomposition model, we found that the overall level of resource allocation efficiency in the sample universities was high, but there were great disparities in resource input–output effectiveness between universities. In many universities, marginal inputs exceeded marginal outputs, resulting in input redundancy and resource wastage. In addition, this study shows that for high-level agricultural universities, the regression of capital input technology is preventing a sustained increase in productivity, which places the total factor productivity of resource allocation in a diminishing state. Methods for measuring the acoustic characteristics of orifices have been reviewed. Comparison of three methods for evaluating of oscillation velocity in the neck of the Helmholtz resonator are presented. The first method is measurements in an impedance tube with the two-microphone method, the second is based on measuring the sound pressure in the resonator chamber, and the third is based on direct measurements of bias flow with a Pitot tube. The results of measuring the oscillation velocity in the neck of the Helmholtz resonator are presented, and show that these methods are in good agreement only within linear acoustics, but they lead to different results in nonlinear regimes characterized by high sound pressure levels.

The aim of the current study was to analyse offensive pass tactics in Olympic Games finals in 2000 and 2021. The authors of the study were interested how the game of volleyball has developed in 20 years, whether it has become faster or even slower. We were also interested whether setters' game tactics had changed in 20 years. Therefore, we undertook three tasks: to compare offensive pass tactics according to types of sets; to compare the distribution of offensive passes between zones and to compare the ball flight phase times of offensive passes. Based on videos of two Olympic finals (eight sets), a total of 327 offensive passes were analysed, which were divided into different types of sets, and the ball flight phase time of each offensive pass was fixed. It was also taken into account whether the setter had had an excellent, good or bad reception or first touch before performing the set. The videos were analysed using the Kinovea program; the quality of the first video was 360p and of the second 1080p. The first final studied was played in Sydney, Australia, on 1 October 2000 between the men's volleyball teams of Yugoslavia and Russia, and the second on 7 August in Tokyo, Japan, between the men's teams of France and Russia. To find statistically significant differences in data, Student's t-test, p < 0.05, was used. The results revealed that in 20 years setters' offensive pass tactics had changed; new offensive pass types had been introduced in both back and front zones. As a result of comparison of mean times of ball flight phases, the authors state that in one case the flight phase speed increased, namely in the case of offensive pass into zone 4; in another case, it became slower - in the case of offensive pass tempo forward. In addition to offensive passes played in 2000, new types of offensive pass were played in 2021, such as back line set between zones 6 and 1, back line set between zones 5 and 6, and the shoot set. The tandem combination played in 2000 was not performed once in 2021. The five most popular offensive passes turned out to be sharp sets into zone 4, sharp sets into zone 2, tempo sets forward, sharp back line sets into zone 2, high sets into zone 4. The difference of 2021 compared to 2000 was that the shoot combination was played on the frontline (6% of all the sets), and the back line attack was used 5% more often. The comparison of ball flight phase times revealed that the mean time of the flight phase decreased only in the case of the sharp set into zone 4. Namely, the mean time of the ball flight phase in 2000 was 1.12 seconds, in 2021, however, 0.97 seconds. This can be explained by sharper and faster sets into zone 4. But in the case of the tempo set forward, the mean time of the ball flight phase increased from 0.40 to 0.49 seconds by 2021. The authors' explanation is that tempo sets were not hit from so near to the setter but, to make blocking more difficult, tempo sets were set longer, or somewhat higher tempo set was used. With the development of science and technology, the design of integrated circuit becomes more and more complex.In the design process, the division of hardware and software also produces more choices. In order to meet the complex design requirements for integrated circuits, the development and design of SystemC, which inherits the C + + extension library, came into being. SytemC can meet the requirements of hardware and software codesign, and can be quickly simulated and verified in the design process. In this paper, the communication protocol(ISO/IEC 18000-6C) is modeled and designed at a higher level. The protocol communication between interrogator and tag is realized by function call. For UHF RFID(Ultra High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification)communication protocol, from system level design to behavior level design, the top-down design of the protocol is realized, and the design of tag identification layer and baseband communication link layer is completed. Finally, the source code of this systemc is transformed into Verilog and other hardware description languages by using Vivado HLS synthesis software, and the software description of system level is synthesized into RTL code. This paper focuses on label baseband link encode_T module, after FM0 / Miller coding simulation of data "1001001001011001" in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, the waveform verification is completed in Modelsim, and it is transformed into RTL level circuit by Vivado HLS integrated software.

This research aims to describe about the profile of climber students’ self efficacy to the problem solving skills of high level mathematics problems. It is including form of descriptive research with qualitative approach. The research subjects are 13 climber students in class XI MIPA 8 of SMA Negeri 1 Jember, were tested by Adversity Response Profile (ARP) questionnaire. The method of data collection use a test of problem solving skills of high level mathematics problems, adversity response profile (ARP) questionnaire and interviews. The results of this research showed that the climber students are tend to have high self efficacy and able to by every Polya’s stages.

BackgroundTo investigate the clinical efficacy of percutaneous endoscopic transforaminal discectomy (PETD) in the treatment of upper lumbar disc herniation (LDH).MethodsTwenty-two patients, 14 males and 8 females with ages ranging from 23 to 76 years, who had upper LDH and were treated with PETD from April 2015 to April 2020 in the Department of Neurosurgery of Xuanwu Hospital, were selected to evaluate the surgical efficacy by the visual analog scale (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI).ResultsAll patients underwent successful completion of PETD surgery. The operation time was 80.4 ± 18.0 min; intraoperative fluoroscopy was used 17.1 ± 8.7 times; and the hospital stay was 3.2 ± 0.6 days. The VAS scores were 7.9 ± 1.2, 2.3 ± 1.5, 2.2 ± 1.3, and 2.1 ± 1.0 before the operation, 1 day and 3 months after the operation, and during the last follow-up, respectively. Aim: High radial nerve palsy is defined as an injury to the proximal elbow. The most common indication for upper limb tendon transfer procedures is peripheral nerve injury with no potential for recovery. The results of the tendon transfers we performed in highlevel radial nerve palsy cases who lost the chance of primary treatment and applied to us very late after the trauma were evaluated. Material and Method: Fourteen patients who lost the chance of primary treatment due to high-level radial nerve injury and who underwent tendon transfer between 2013-2019 were included in the study. The patient's dominant hand, job, expectation and sociocultural level were taken into consideration. For evaluation, range of motion and muscle strength were measured. Functional evaluation was made according to Tajima criteria. Results: In the evaluation of muscle strength of our 14 patients; average wrist extension 3.85; finger extension 3.78; thumb was found to be 3.5 power. The average wrist range of motion is 40.35°; extension was measured as 16.78° (10°-70°), flexion 23.57° (15°-50°). The mean metacarpophalangeal joint extension was 1.92° (1°-10°), interphalangeal joint extension was 9.64° (0°-30°), and thumb abduction was 29.64° (30°-55°). Functional average was evaluated as medium-good according to Tajima criteria. Conclusion: Successful and sufficient functional results can be obtained with tendon transfers by choosing the right tendon and suture material in the late reconstruction of high-level radial nerve palsy that lost the chance of primary treatment. The study sample consisted of 4.113 gaming actions (1.371 serve actions, 1.371 reception actions, and 1.371 set actions), corresponding to the observation of four matches for each of the 12 best ranked teams in the Volleyball World Championship - a total of 23 matches. The criteria were: in-game role of the server, serve zone, type of serve, striking technique and serve direction; receiver player, reception zone, and reception efficacy; setting zone, type of set, setting technique, setting efficacy, a set’s area, and set tempo. Multinomial logistic regression showed that criteria related to reception (reception efficacy) and to set (setting zone, type of set, a set’s area, and set tempo) determined set efficacy. Specifically, positive and negative receptions and settings from acceptable and non-acceptable zones reduced perfect setting. In contrast, the jump set toward zones three and six and the first and second tempo increased perfect setting. Serve criteria did not determine set efficacy. This study can guide trainers and players in the training process.

The new coronavirus pandemic not only brings a great test to the global health security system, but also brings new challenges to the global governance structure and pattern. At the same time, it also exposes the deficiencies in the strengthening of public health emergency system and biosafety system in China. Biosafety is an important part of national security and has become the new frontier of national security. Among them, high-level biological laboratories are the core platform to carry out scientific research on biosafety and reflect national security capability. Therefore, China needs to further implement the construction system planning of high-level biosafety laboratories, form a national system of high-level biosafety laboratories with reasonable layout, clear positioning, full functions, division and cooperation and network operation, and build a national biosafety cooperation center integrating clinical, production and scientific research activities, and finally improve the national security capacity. Introduction. In volleyball, setting is a critical skill from a technical and tactical point of view, as it affects attack directly: the better the quality of the setter's performance, the more excellent attack actions are carried out by men and women attackers. Aim of Study. This study aimed to assess the spatial and temporal characteristics of the setting choices made by junior male volleyball setters and their performance concerning the game complex per match rotation. Material and Methods. A three-member group of experienced coaches assessed the setting zones choices, the setting tempo, and the performance of junior male setters from 20 volleyball games of teams competing in the final phase of the 2016 Greek Junior Championship. A five-level ordinal scale was used to evaluate the setting. The test of independence for the categorical variables was carried out using the chi-square test (?2). Following the overall independence test, the difference in proportions among all levels of variables was tested. Results. Results showed that zone 4 was the junior setters' first choice irrespective of the game complex. More detailed, in Complex II, the most preferable setting zones were 4 and 6, while zone 3 was the primary selection in Complex I. The setting in the first tempo was the most favorite option in Complex I, although second slow tempo was the most frequently used setting option in Complex II. As for the quality of the setting, the dominant value for both complexes was quality level 2. Conclusions. In conclusion, the junior male setters directed the ball mainly to position 4 by using the slow 2nd tempo settings irrespective of the game rotation. Moreover, they showed a higher proportion of excellent setting actions and used fast settings (first tempo) more frequently in Complex I than in Complex II. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nowadays there is a rapid growth in female handball but little research data. This study aimed to rate, evaluate and classify the goalkeepers according to the number of games, participation time and effectiveness of 33 female goalkeepers during Women's European Championship (2018). The variables were the throws received by the goalkeepers and the saves they made. Based on criteria goalkeepers were categorised into three categories of performance: Class A, Class B and Class C. The method applied was descriptive and inferential statistics. The Kruskal–Wallis test was used to compare the differences among the three performance classes. The Mann–Whitney U test was applied to compare the differences among the three performance classes for the aforementioned variables. The final ranking of the 33 goalkeepers, differed from the official ranking. Kruskal–Wallis analysis revealed significant differences among the classes A, B and C (p < 05). Mann–Whitney U test revealed that Class A differed significantly from B and C classes (p < 05). Class B differed significantly from Class C (p < 05). In conclusion, in order to rate goalkeeper's performance, not only the effectiveness should be measured, but also the number of games and the exact playing time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A nonlinear vibroacoustic absorber (Nonlinear Energy Sink: NES), involving a clamped thin membrane made in Latex, is assessed in the acoustic domain. This NES is here considered as an one-port acoustic system, analyzed at low frequencies and for increasing excitation levels. This dynamic and frequency range requires a suitable experimental technique, which is presented first. It involves a specific impedance tube able to deal with samples of sufficient size, and reaching high sound levels with a guaranteed linear response thank's to a specific acoustic source. The identification method presented here requires a single pressure measurement, and is calibrated from a set of known acoustic loads. The NES reflection coefficient is then estimated at increasing source levels, showing its strong level dependency. This is presented as a mean to understand energy dissipation. The results of the experimental tests are first compared to a nonlinear viscoelastic model of the membrane absorber. In a second step, a family of one degree of freedom models, treated as equivalent Helmholtz resonators is identified from the measurements, allowing a parametric description of the NES behavior over a wide range of levels. As an important base for cultivating students' practical ability and innovative spirit, the construction of professional laboratory in civil engineering is of great significance. Under the background of construction of high-level local universities, the teaching evaluation results of the undergraduate program in civil engineering in our department was summarized, and the existing experimental conditions were combed. A comprehensive comparison on the laboratory construction in civil engineering in all Shanghai municipal universities was also conducted. The necessity to construct a high-level professional laboratory in civil engineering in our university was illustrated, and the laboratory construction idea was elaborated from four aspects, i. e., laboratory construction direction, teaching system composition, technical team building and construction planning, so as to promote the characteristic construction in civil engineering and provide a solid foundation for the personnel training in the strategic area of the country and Shanghai. Prolonged visual exposure, or ‘adaptation’, to thin (wide) bodies causes a perceptual aftereffect such that subsequently seen bodies appear wider (thinner) than they actually are. Here, we conducted two experiments investigating the effect of rotating the orientation of the test stimuli by 90° from that of the adaptor. Aftereffects were maximal when adapting and test bodies had the same orientation. When they differed, the axis of the perceived distortion changed with the orientation of the body. Experiment 1 demonstrated a 58% transfer of the aftereffect across orientations. Experiment 2 demonstrated an even greater degree of aftereffect transfer when the influence of low-level mechanisms was reduced further by using adaptation and test stimuli with different sizes. These results indicate that the body aftereffect is mediated primarily by high-level object-based processes, with low-level retinotopic mechanisms playing only a minor role. The influence of these low-level processes is further reduced when test stimuli differ in size from adaptation stimuli.

Aims and objectives To report on a study investigating questioning skills of clinical facilitators who support the learning of undergraduate nursing students. Background The ability to think critically is integral to decision-making and the provision of safe and quality patient care. Developing students' critical thinking skills is expected of those who supervise and facilitate student learning in the clinical setting. Models used to facilitate student learning in the clinical setting have changed over the years with clinicians having dual responsibility for patient care and facilitating student learning. Many of these nurses have no preparation for the educative role. This study adapted a comparative study conducted over fifteen years ago. Design Descriptive online survey including three acute care patient scenarios involving an undergraduate nursing student. Participants were required to identify the questions they would ask the student in relation to the scenario. Methods A total of 133 clinical facilitators including clinical teachers, clinical educators and preceptors from five large partner healthcare organisations of one Australian university participated. Results The majority of questions asked were knowledge questions, the lowest category in the cognitive domain requiring only simple recall of information. Facilitators who had undertaken an education-related course/workshop or formal qualification asked significantly more questions from the higher cognitive level. Conclusion The study provides some evidence that nursing facilitators in the clinical setting ask students predominantly low-level questions. Further research is needed to identify strategies that develop the capacity of facilitators to ask higher level cognitive questions. Relevance to clinical practice Clinical facilitators should undertake targeted education that focuses on how to frame questions for students that demand application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Increasing awareness over the limitation and extreme fragility of natural rights, which once were considered as unlimited, clearly evidenced the necessity of a greater and more effective protection of human life because always the threats against human dignity and life and international terrorism are growing. In this context, the protection and improvement of human dignity remains a priority for centuries as being of paramount importance, as they are a prerequisite for the well-being of nations and the development of the whole world in general. We can mention that human society is fulfilled with a bitter story regarding victims of those times of human society which in her bosom today counts millions of victims as a result of wars and violence directed against humanity, by dictators and different statesmen which the world today recognizes through a special story fixed on the number of victims of the time. The central problem of most Content Based Image Retrieval approaches is poor quality in terms of sensitivity (recall) and specificity (precision). To overcome this problem, the semantic gap between high-level concepts and low-level features has been acknowledged. In this paper we introduce an approach to reduce the impact of the semantic gap by integrating high-level (semantic) and low-level features to improve the quality of Image Retrieval queries. Our experiments have been carried out by applying two hierarchical procedures. The first approach is called keyword-content, and the second content-keyword. Our proposed approaches show better results compared to a single method (keyword or content based) in term of recall and precision. The average precision has increased by up to 50%.

In this research two databases have been created using daily observations of seven climatic variables during 1965-1995 and amounts daily observations of 500 hpa during 1974-2004. On the first database a principal component analyses have been applied and five major components recognized. A cluster analyses applied on these major components and eleven synoptic types obtained for Sanandaj station. Then on second database a PCA have been applied too, and eleven major components recognized. A cluster analyses applied on these eleven major components and eight circulation patterns recognized that the third circulation pattern for some reasons distracted to ten sub-circulation patterns. Statistical characteristic of these synoptic types have been calculated and covariance of these synoptic types with circulation patterns of 500 hpa have been studied. We find a weak relationship between the circulation patterns and synoptic types. It seems reasonable to find weak relationship between circulation patterns and synoptic types. Because circulation patterns only represent the dynamic aspect of the atmosphere but synoptic types have a thermodynamic nature.

This study focuses on the teaching and learning of reading in French as developed in the school textbook of the first year of learning French as a foreign language. It is the only textbook in Algeria for that level and for that discipline, since 2008. This paper compares the contents of this teaching support to recent research findings on learning to read in cognitive sciences and psychology. Relying on an analytical grid comprising ten (10) questions whose answers are distributed on a Likert -type scale. We conclude that the main principles and recommendations resulting from researches in psychology and cognitive sciences are not taken into account for the teaching of reading in this textbook.

Objective: (1) To investigate outcomes in language competence and self-reported satisfaction with social relationships in long-term survivors of childhood traumatic brain injury (TBI); and (2) to establish whether language competence contributes to self-reported satisfaction with social relationships decades after sustaining childhood TBI. Participants: Twelve females and 8 males aged 30 to 55 (mean = 39.80, standard deviation = 7.54) years who sustained a TBI during childhood and were on average 31 years postinjury (standard deviation = 9.69). An additional 20 participants matched for age, sex, handedness, years of education, and socioeconomic status constituted a control group. Main Measures: Test of Language Competence--Expanded Edition and the Quality of Life in Brain Injury questionnaire. Results: Individuals with a history of childhood TBI performed significantly poorer than their non-injured peers on 2 (Ambiguous Sentences and Oral Expression: Recreating Sentences) out of the 4 Test of Language Competence--Expanded Edition subtests used and on the Quality of Life in Brain Injury subscale assessing satisfaction with social relationships. In the TBI group, scores obtained on the Ambiguous Sentences subtest were found to be a significant predictor of satisfaction with social relationships, explaining 25% of the variance observed. Conclusions: The implication of high-level language skills to self-reported satisfaction with social relationships many decades post-childhood TBI suggests that ongoing monitoring of emerging language skills and support throughout the school years and into adulthood may be warranted if adult survivors of childhood TBI are to experience satisfying social relationships. In this paper, a novel methodology for high-level modeling of bus communication in embedded systems is introduced. It allows the dynamic evaluation of their signal integrity (SI) characteristics at the virtual prototyping step (i.e., before physical realization). The method is based on the association of functional and nonfunctional modules. Functional modules represent the ideal behavior of the system, while nonfunctional modules use neural networks to model SI effects. This approach was implemented in SystemC-AMS, using the timed data flow model of computation. The method is illustrated by a Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.0 application, where modular and parameterizable models are introduced. The method achieved good accuracy (<5%) while allowing significant simulation speedup (up to 2000 times), compared with SPICE-based reference models. In day-to-day practice pediatric orthopedic surgeons often come up against the question of sport. The aim of the present study was to analyze the relationship between sport and childhood, with 3 questions: (1) What are the benefits of sport for children? (2) How to manage high-level child athletes? And (3) What sports are possible after major orthopedic surgery? Sports provide many benefits for children, and are to be encouraged. Sixty minutes' moderate to intense physical activity per day benefits motor development and bone mineralization and reduces the risk of obesity. On the other hand, excessive sports activity, as encountered in high-level sport, can be harmful for the child's development. The amount of training should not exceed a certain threshold in terms of hours per week according to age. Surgical treatment of sport-related traumatic lesions does not necessarily accelerate return to sport: indications need to be reasonable, despite pressure from the patient's circle. A new approach Procedure for Investigating Categories of Vibrations (PICVib) for estimating vibrational frequencies of selected modes using only the structure and energy calculations at a more demanding computational level is presented and explored. The PICVib has an excellent performance at only a small fraction of the computational demand required for a complete analytical calculation. The errors are smaller than ca. 0.5% when DFT functionals are combined with high level ab initio methods. The approach is general because it can use any quantum chemical program and electronic structure method. It is very robust because it was validated for a wide range of frequency values ( ca. 20-4800 cm-1) and systems: XH3 (D3h) with X = B, Al, Ga, N, P, As, O, S, and Se, YH4 (D4h) with Y = C, Si, and Ge, conformers of RDX, SN2 and E2 reactions, [W(dppe)2(NNC5H10)] complex, carbon nanotubes, and hydrogen-bonded complexes including guanine-cytosine pair. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In 1998, the Festina scandal at the Tour de France provided the first proof of widespread doping in professional cycling. This doping scandal marked the end of team-organized doping in professional cycling and ushered in a new period marked by the increasing implementation of anti-doping measures. This article evaluates the impact of the anti-doping rules and tests instituted since the Festina scandal. We adopt a psychosocial approach to analyze the organization of doping and the development of doping attitudes and practices in high-level cycling. Sixteen cyclists were interviewed, of which eight were young, current cyclists and eight were former cyclists who became professionals before the Festina scandal. Our results show that although the fight against doping in the last decade has reduced doping use in high-level cycling, anti-doping measures have also had unexpected effects.
