Background: In recent years, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has increased worldwide. The launch of the ChatGPT-3 posed great challenges for higher education, given its popularity among university students. The present study aimed to analyze the attitudes of university students toward the use of ChatGPTs in their academic activities. Method: This study was oriented toward a quantitative approach and had a nonexperimental design. An online survey was administered to the 499 participants. Results: The findings of this study revealed a significant association between various factors and attitudes toward the use of the ChatGPT. The higher beta coefficients for responsible use (β=0.806***), the intention to use frequently (β=0.509***), and acceptance (β=0.441***) suggested that these are the strongest predictors of a positive attitude toward ChatGPT. The presence of positive emotions (β=0.418***) also plays a significant role. Conversely, risk (β=-0.104**) and boredom (β=-0.145**) demonstrate a negative yet less decisive influence. These results provide an enhanced understanding of how students perceive and utilize ChatGPTs, supporting a unified theory of user behavior in educational technology contexts. Conclusion: Ease of use, intention to use frequently, acceptance, and intention to verify information influenced the behavioral intention to use ChatGPT responsibly. On the one hand, this study provides suggestions for HEIs to improve their educational curricula to take advantage of the potential benefits of AI and contribute to AI literacy. Based on the diffusion technology, many scientists and specialists have conducted research on obtaining materials that are fundamentally different in electrical and photo-thermal parameters from the original material by introducing various input atoms into semiconductor materials and creating deep energy levels in their band gap. The electrical, photoelectric, optical, and magnetic properties of these semiconductor materials have been extensively studied with metal group elements, isovalent elements, and rare earth elements added to silicon through the process of growth, ion implantation, or diffusion from the gaseous state. The technology of introducing impurity atoms into silicon by the diffusion method is distinguished from other methods in its simplicity, energy efficiency, and low cost. Up-to-date, the technology of changing the resistivity and conductivity of the initial sample by diffusion of manganese atoms into single-crystal silicon is studied insufficiently. In the article, it was determined that when manganese atoms diffuse into silicon, a high-manganese silicide is formed on its surface and in the near-surface layer. Based on the analysis of the experimental results, the thermal EMF (electromotive force) in Mn4Si7-Si --Mn4Si7 structures in a certain temperature range and under illumination (with monochromatic or integrated light) is explained by the fact that it based on the Pelte effect, observed in semiconductors.The volt-ampere characteristics (VAC) of the obtained structures were measured at various temperatures, in the dark and in the light. Formation of a boundary layer with high resistivity at the boundary of the higher manganese-silicon transition, the transition from higher manganese silicide to the base of the structure due to the effect of ionization of pores during illumination of structures and external influence. The applied field was clarified based on VAC results. The manganese high silicide layer formed on the silicon surface has the properties of a semiconductor, and the formation of a heterojunction upon transition to silicon is shown on the basis of the sphere diagram.

Abstract The aim of this study was to determine whether the pandemic has reinforced the choice of pursuing health-related bachelor’s degrees, and to identify underlying factors that could contribute to that impact. This is a cross-sectional study using an online survey of 2,344 students of nursing, physiotherapy, medicine, psychology and podiatry who started health-related bachelor’s degrees after the COVID-19 outbreak in Spanish higher education institutions. The pandemic influenced the choice of these studies by increasing the desire to help others (33.2%), by increasing citizenship values (28.4%), and by increasing the desire to contribute to improving the situation of the country (27.5%). Women had a significantly greater influence on the increase in social values related to the practice of the profession produced by the pandemic, whereas men and the bachelor’s degree in podiatry were more influenced by salary prospects. An increased desire to help others was significantly higher among women and nursing and medical students. Podiatry and psychology were the degrees were most influenced by the pandemic, as more students decided to pursue them, something they had previously doubted, while in nursing, psychology, and medicine the pandemic reinforced their interest in pursuing the degree the most. Students personally affected by COVID-19 reported being more influenced in reconsidering their professional path and in reinforcing their desire to pursue the health-related studies.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the social representations about sexually transmitted infections elaborated by undergraduate students. Methods: a descriptive, qualitative study, in the light of the structural approach of Social Representation Theory, carried out with 160 young undergraduate students, in the second half of 2019, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Data were collected using a sociodemographic characterization questionnaire, knowledge and practices for preventing sexually transmitted infections, analyzed using descriptive statistics and a form of free evocations with the inducing term STD, analyzed using prototypical and similarity analysis. Results: the representation’s possible central nucleus is composed of lexicons aids, disease and HIV; the peripheral system by syphilis, sex, condoms, gonorrhea, prevention, infection, carelessness, HPV, herpes, ignorance, treatment, fear, unprotected-sex and danger. Final considerations: social thinking about sexually transmitted infections is characterized by their recognition as diseases, which require barrier prevention measures, associating with unsafe sexual practices that arouse fear.

A community is a collection of individuals who are related to one another and are aware of their membership. Relationships among the community members are based on shared beliefs, goals, activities, or interests. This article traces the development of ideas about Christian community in the Scriptures, in the views of the Church fathers, theologians, and in the Church documents. Inspiration from the Scriptures is used to fi nd the Christian vision of a community that can shape the evangelisation. The views of the Church fathers and of the later theologians are selected to provide an overview of the development of ideas about Christian communities that are more connected with the actual life of the faithful, especially the young generation. Pope Francis' Postsynodal Apostolic Exhortation Christus Vivit (2019) is referred to in order to provide a picture of a Christian community that is more suited to the young people. Finally, the development of ideas about a Christian community will be correlated with the actual experiences of Catholic students at "Student Church" (Gema) in the Bandung Diocese, Indonesia. From this correlation, theological inspirations on the aspects of the Christian communities are further (re)interpreted from time to time by the moderator priests of Gema and are contextualised and lived in everydayness by the young Catholics studying in the city of Bandung. This document explores the reality that the teachers of the Bachelor of Languages experience as workers at the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco, considering that there are factors that limit their growth and stagnate them in spaces stigmatized by gender roles. They are violated by what is known as the glass ceiling and walls, that is, invisible rules that hinder their vertical and horizontal promotion; as well as the belief that they can only develop in lower positions, tying them to a sticky ground. In-depth interviews were conducted with teachers -men and women- from a higher institution located in the Mexican southeast. It was identified that the work of women has promoted the opening of spaces to develop professionally, for which they have had to overcome limitations caused by the patriarchal system so deeply rooted in educational centers, however, work with a gender perspective is necessary to promote spaces and opportunities for growth under equal conditions. Holographic technology might change the way of creation and sharing knowledge. Using Holographic Technology in learning is still new to the education industry but it has the potential to revolutionize aspects of teaching and learning experience. One of the most recent improvements in educational system is the introduction of mixed reality holograms, which is a platform combining augmented and virtual reality to provide a real-world experience with virtual objects. In this paper, the researchers present basic concepts about Holographic Technology, in order to understand the importance of this technology in our life and whether learners would perceive this technology positively. The researchers identifying the strengths and weaknesses of Holographic Technology as a teaching tool, in order to evaluate its effectiveness in higher educational system and whether it helps in the enhancement of the teaching-learning process and recommend the educational institutes to start make some changes to accommodate the Hologram Technology. This is a descriptive-correlational study that determined the extent of workplace spirituality and proactive behavior among elementary school teachers of MBHTESulu. Adopting weighted mean, standard deviation, t-Test for independent samples, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson's r test of correlation, this study reveals the following findings: 1) On demographic profile, out of 200 teacher-respondents, majority are female, within 26-30 and 31-40 years old of age brackets, mostly are married teachers, have only bachelor's degree, and have been in teaching profession for about 5 years & below. 2) Generally, elementary school teachers at MBHTE-Sulu manifest high workplace spirituality. 3) Generally, elementary school teachers at MBHTE-Sulu are indulged with high proactive behavior towards their teaching jobs. 4) Variables gender, age, civil status, length of service, and educational attainment do not intervene in ways how teachers' perceive the extent of workplace spirituality. 5) Variables gender, age, civil status, length of service, and educational attainment do not intervene in ways how teachers' perceive the extent of proactive behavior. 6) Workplace spirituality and proactive behavior of elementary school teachers at MBHTE-Sulu are highly correlated. 7) This study tends to support the Workplace Spirituality Model developed by Petchsawang and Duchon (2009 in Petchsawang and Mclean, 2017) and Proactive Behavior Model developed by Crant and Kraimer (1999 in Delle and Amadu, 2016). Objective: To describe the perceptions and experiences of nursing graduation professors regarding the teaching of patient safety. Method: Cross-sectional, descriptive, quali-quantitative study, carried out with nursing professors from a federal university from September to November 2018. Data was collected using an electronic form and processed using simple descriptive analysis aided by the software Interface de R pour Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionneires. Results: The sample was formed by 21 professors, and three classes were generated: First steps and encouragement for the teaching of patient safety in the nursing course (42.5%); Actions towards patient safety teaching in graduation (26.4%); and Actors of change in the teaching of patient safety in nursing graduation (31.1%). Teaching in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) has been gradually introduced in undergraduate courses in the health area. This article assesses the offer of teaching CAM in undergraduate health courses through an exploratory documentary study of 17 undergraduate courses in the area of Health in two public Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the Northeast of Brazil. The course, the offer, the disciplines, the workload and the therapeutic modality of the taught CAM were characterized. In the HEI, 30 disciplines were observed, twelve mandatory subjects and 18 optional subjects were listed, with 17 subjects with a workload of 30-32 hours. The most offered modalities are Phytotherapy, Homeopathy and Acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine and the courses with the greatest availability of subjects were Nursing, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy. It is concluded that the inclusion of teaching CAM in health courses in the two HEI, although comprehensive, is fragmented and isolated in specific subjects, mainly in the optional format, leaving many students without knowledge of CAM, their theoretical assumptions and therapeutic practices. INTRODUCTION: The new student profile has required new formats of teaching and learning, with interconnected knowledge based on a pedagogical practice founded on reflection OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to analyze how students evaluate what they learned using the of the Concept Map associated with the Inverted Classroom in the teaching, learning and assessment process compared to the Traditional Classroom. METHODS AND MATERIALS: A cross-sectional study carried out with 90 students at a public university in Brazil in the years of 2016 to 2018. For data collection the authors used a high reliability tool based on the Likert scale of 4 points containing questions regarding the competences to be developed by the students. In the light of growing concerns regarding the quality of higher education after a period of rapid expansion, in 2003, the Chinese government launched the Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation (UTE), the first nation-wide evaluation of universities. In 2008, the UTE was replaced by the Quality Project, which signalled a change in its quality assurance approach, with a move from evaluations to the issuing of awards. In order to investigate the impact of the two national quality assurance policies, along with the impact of two long-standing internal quality assurance mechanisms employed by universities - class observation and student evaluation of teachers - on teaching, the researcher adopted policy analysis and a case study approach. Three different universities in the same region were selected as cases. Semi-structured interviews with 56 heads of department and teachers across three departments at each university were conducted. National and university policy documents, as well as interview data, were analysed thematically in the light of concepts derived from the political sciences, namely Knoepfel et al.'s (2007; 2011) framework for policy analysis and Schneider and Ingram's (1990) classification of policy tools. University policies and interview data revealed the patterns of impact of these two quality assurance policies. Faced with the UTE inspection, universities shifted their focus from assuring the quality of teaching to achieving good results in the exercise and therefore engaging in 'game-playing'. In order to ensure good UTE results, universities even resorted to the manipulation of data. University policies resulting from the UTE required teachers to produce standardised documents and to follow particular procedures. The majority of interviewed teachers regarded the impact of the UTE with cynicism, seeing it as a waste of time and effort, an interference with academic freedom, and believing it had the effect of undermining ethics. However, some teachers reported as positive impact of the fact that the UTE helped to keep teachers disciplined, and that it provided an impetus for ensuring teaching quality. Interview data showed that the Quality Project awards only had an impact on the award winners, who perceived the incentives on offer to be substantial. These award winners considered the acknowledgement given by the awards and the information obtained through reflection and good examples as valuable impacts. However, the Quality Project awards did not have impact on non-award winners, i.e. the majority of teachers. This study revealed that in order to have impact the institutional practices of class observation and the student evaluation of teachers relied on a number of conditions being in place. These practices had impact when the stakes were high or when university teachers received valid and reliable feedback. Whilst high stakes were found to lead to mixed impact, valid and reliable feedback contributed to the improvement of teaching. This study contributes to the understanding of the impact of quality assurance policies and mechanisms on teaching in Chinese higher education, an area that has not yet been the subject of significant empirical research. Covering the two major quality assurance policies in recent years, and also the institutional mechanisms teachers face, this research was able to capture the interdependence between these policies. No such research has previously been conducted in the context of Chinese higher education. In regard to the theoretical aspect of the research, the empirical evidence that was collected and a comprehensive review of other empirical research enabled the development of an Impact Framework. The Impact Framework identified patterns in the impact of various quality assurance policy tools and revealed their inherent strengths and weaknesses. Hence, the Impact Framework can serve in the future as an important reference for policy-makers who are seeking to design and implement effective quality assurance policy tools.

This study focuses on the partial results of the National Education Plan 2014-2024 with regard to the goals for Higher Education, demonstrating in which aspects and on what scale they have been developed, assessing the trend for the coming years and the possibility of effective compliance. The analysis is based on bibliographic data and a quantitative survey of the numbers presented in official documents about the fulfillment of PNE goals. The results point to the partial or total accomplishment of the goals numerically, but not of its objectives in a complete way.Proposals aimed at social inclusion and data related to this scenario are brought up in this study, which aims to help understand the progress of policies and actions aimed at the expansion and quality of Higher Education in Brazil and social inclusion at this level of education in this decade.

This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of stress and Burnout Syndrome (BS) and associated factors among dentists teaching at a private college. In this field research, observational and analytical, cross-sectional, with a quantitative approach, all 43 teaching dentists were interviewed, using a self-administered questionnaire involving biodemographic and professional issues and the Lipp Inventory (ISSL) and Burnout Maslach - General Survey. There were obtained 40 valid answered questionnaires. Most professors felt overwhelmed (67.5%), stressed (72.5%) and exhausted (57.5%). Stress was confirmed by ISSL in 40.0% of the participants, being the predominant resistance phase (35.0%). SB has not been identified. The main stressing factors were work outside classroom and issues related to students. It is concluded that stress, in the resistance phase, was present in the teaching practice of dentists, associated with the female gender and with self-perception of stress, overload and exhaustion. Introduction: Given the need to restructure healthcare education institutions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, hybrid education has been identified as an alternative to reorganize educational activities. The objective of this study is to describe hybrid education development in healthcare education. Materials and Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted based on the PRISMA (preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses) guideline. A peerreviewed search was conducted across four electronic databases between July and September 2020. Descriptors used were "distance education", "learning", "health", "nursing", "medicine", "dentistry", "physical therapy" and "hybrid education". Selected articles were classified based on their level of evidence. Results: 49 articles were selected, including quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods studies. Experiences in the development of hybrid education in multiple healthcare courses were found. Hybrid education has been implemented based on the rotation model, a la carte model and Flex model. Discussion: Hybrid education has been gaining more and more importance in the academic scenario of healthcare education. Based on this, students manage to stand out in their learning process as they become the main agent of this process by actively learning using multiple education tools provided by their teachers. Conclusions: Successful hybrid education can be related to its innovative, flexible, cost-effective nature and the ability to turn students into key players in their teaching-learning process, which ends up influencing their own academic performance. Objective: to describe the sociodemographic profile, academic activities, and behaviors of college students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative study, which had data collected between August and September 2020, via Google forms, in Rio Grande de Sul, Brazil. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: of 536 students in the optional discipline of Mental Health in Humanitarian Emergencies, offered by the Federal University of Pelotas, in the alternate semester in 2020, 464 participated. Of these, 53.45% were in isolation and social withdrawal, 40.73% had worsening financial situation, 66.59% sought family support, and 85.96% followed distance activities. Conclusion: the distancing and social isolation were fundamental for the control of the infection by COVID-19, but presented negative factors, such as worsening of the financial situation, and positive, the adaptation to the new approaches for the continuity of the remote classes. Background: Effective leadership in nursing practice is associated with students' preparation during their academic training. Objective: To identify leadership content in Portuguese undergraduate nursing programs. Methodology: Online consultation of course unit syllabuses of 17 undergraduate nursing programs from 39 higher education institutions, whose content was available, conducted between - December September-December 2018. Data were organized using Excel software to characterize the course units, and content analysis was performed using IRAMUTEQ 0.6 alpha 3 software. Results: Leadership content was identified in course units that present the terms "management" and/ or "administration," associated with "nursing" and/or "health," and other related terms, particularly "health care organization." Conclusion: Leadership education is present as content in all programs, although it is not taught as a specific course unit in any undergraduate nursing degrees studied. Leadership education is recognized as essential for developing students' abilities and skills. No links between leadership education and clinical practice were found in the course units. To study the awareness and knowledge of members of the academic community and their perceptions related to accessibility in higher education institutions (HEI). This is a descriptive, exploratory study. A total of 500 participants from the academic community, including students, professors, and technical-administrative personnel, were invited to respond to a semi-structured questionnaire regarding concepts and information related to people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility, assistive technology, and the broad concepts of accessibility. The participants ranged from 18 to 71 years of age, and there were higher prevalences of females (79.4%), singles (72.2%), and graduate students (73.6%). Based on the questionnaire responses, most participants felt capable of explaining issues regarding accessibility and persons with disabilities/reduced mobility; however, the principles of assistive technology remained relatively unknown. Participants were reasonably informed about persons with disabilities, those with reduced mobility, and accessibility concerns; however, the majority could not explain the key elements of assistive technology. This suggests that additional training and disability awareness programmes are necessary. The access to the higher education, through the assistive technology resources enables the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities in academic activities. Teacher training is primordial to providing quality and equitable education. The lack of knowledge on this matter can be a barrier to access for rehabilitation, advances in assistive technology, inclusive education and the public policies from people with disabilities. Objective: To identify and analyze the influence of demand, control, and support levels on self-reported stress among professors in Accountancy programs at Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Method: A survey addressed the biopsychosocial condition of 614 professors, including stress perception measured by the Teacher Stress Inventory and demand, control, and emotional support measured by the Job Demand-Control-Support. Results: Support and Control significantly (p<0.01) contribute to decreasing professors' perceived stress. The demands imposed by HEIs increase (p<0.01) stress levels though. Additionally, age, positive perception of mental health, and general satisfaction with the job and students are factors that negatively modulate professors' stress levels (p<0.01). Being a woman, teaching in the morning shift, and being a professor in a public HEI, on the other hand, increase the respondents' stress levels (p<0.01). Contributions: Considering that an individual's ability to adapt is limited, this study enables unveiling the circumstances that can aggravate the effects caused by stress, considering increased physical and emotional demands, possibly leading to psychosomatic diseases. The analysis of academic expectations and level of commitment to the study program allows us to determine to what extent university students are capable of carrying out generally subjective self-assessments of the probability of achieving good academic outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the incidence that academic commitment has on self-efficacy beliefs and performance expectations of undergraduate university students. The sample consisted of 502 students who were in the first and second year of bachelor's degree programs at the Faculty of Education of the University of La Laguna, Spain. The validated Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17) was administered to the students to measure their academic commitment. To assess their expectations for academic performance, the students were asked what grades they expected to obtain at the end of the first semester. The results revealed that students who had favorable beliefs regarding the achievement of good grades in the subjects obtained better scores on the academic engagement scale. The incidence that academic commitment has on the expectations of outcomes of university students opens an important line of action in higher education aimed at achieving better adaptation, perseverance and academic success. In 2010, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education released, “Sustainability curriculum in higher education: A call to action,” encouraging infusion of sustainability topics into universities' teaching and research. Since then, academic programs and research related to social, economic, and environmental sustainability have enriched university curricula. An exploratory study was conducted to determine the position and engagements of academic libraries and information science schools in their contributions to scholarly sustainability activities and curricular initiatives. This article presents the results of the study which reveals a number of engagements by library professionals in the areas of sustainability, such as increasing open access to research, building sustainability-related collections and research guides, and incorporating sustainability content into information literacy. While academic libraries and information science schools are engaged in a broad spectrum of initiatives that support their institutions' sustainability research and curricular functions, this study indicates that such activities require a more targeted approach.

- Abstract
To report the teaching experience of using the Singular Therapeutic Project in a hospital environment during the supervised internship of the 10th semester of the Bachelor of Nursing Course. It is an account of the experience of professors at a University in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul from the practical experience of using PTS in a hospital setting. The request to perform the PTS occurred in the discipline of Nursing Assistance to Adult and Hospitalized Elderly, from the Nursing Undergraduate Course. The PTS enabled the student to better organize his ideas and care propositions based on scientific evidence, culminating in a greater theoretical and practical association. The PTS is a technology capable of assisting in the interpretation of the health-disease process, it strengthens the academic autonomy and preparation to carry out case discussions and propositions of solutions to problems relevant to the care practice, strengthening their criticalreflective thinking in nursing care.
