Pendahuluan : Menyusui adalah suatu proses yang alamiah, namun kenyataanya tidak semua ibu dapat menyusui bayinya dengan teknik yang benar. Kegagalan laktasi yang disebabkan teknik menyusui yang tidak tepat dapat berdampak buruk pada ibu dan bayi. Tujuan Penelitian: menganalisis pengaruh edukasi teknik menyusui terhadap keberhasilan laktasi. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan dengan one group pretest dan posttest design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara consecutive sampling. Stunting is currently still included as a national problem in Indonesia, as well as in West Bandung Regency (KBB). Lactation is one of the factors that affect stunting conditions. This community service activity (PKM) aims to give knowledge and techniques for implementing good lactation management for empowerment and family health (PKK) cadres at KBB. This PKM method is carried out by providing education and training to 173 PKK cadres, providing teaching materials, and creating online groups consisting of a service team and PKK cadres with the WhatsApp application. This PKM event was held at Bale Gempungan, 4th floor, KBB Regional Government Complex, on 15 - 16 September 2022. The cadres are all female, 97.69% of the participants are in the adult age group (26- 45 years), and the last education of the participants is generally SMA/SMK (70.93%). However, there is one participant who did not finish elementary school. Most participants (84.3%) were housewives, and 83.33% had incomes below the minimum wage. This service activity gave the knowledge and skills of cadre mothers in educating breastfeeding mothers to hopefully increase their knowledge and skill to improve the health of mothers and children towards zero stunting in the West Bandung Regency area. Mineral mikro Seng (Zn) berperan penting dalam proses reproduksi ternak. Namun demikian, penggunaan pakan mengandung serat tinggi dapat mempengaruhi absorbsi Zn. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh level suplementasi Zn pada ransum yang mengandung ampas teh 30% terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik, serta absorpsi mineral Zn pada kelinci periode laktasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 4 bulan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola searah. Dua puluh ekor kelinci dara New Zealand White siap kawin (BB 1,85 ± 0,03 kg) dibagi ke dalam 4 perlakuan pakan, yaitu: R1: ransum komersial (control), R2: ransum ampas the 30%, R3: R2 + Zn 50 ppm, R4: R2 + Zn 100 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level suplementasi dalam ransum mengandung 30% ampas teh sangat nyata meningkatkan (P0,05) pada kecernaan bahan kering, bahan organik, dan absorpsi Zn kelinci periode laktasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa level suplementasi Zn dalam ransum mengandung ampas teh 30% tidak mempengaruhi kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik, serta absorpsi Zn pada kelinci periode laktasi sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti ransum komersial.

ABSTRACT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pelet mengandung tepung daun Indigofera terhadap produktivitas kambing Boerka periode bunting dan laktasi. Ternak yang digunakan adalah kambing Boerka bunting bulan keempat sebanyak 60 ekor dengan variasi paritas ke 2 dan 3 dan rataan bobot badan saat dikawinkan adalah 32,63±5,29 kg. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 perlakuan pakan dengan 20 kali ulangan: rumput lapang + Pelet komersil (R1); rumput lapang + pelet Indigofera 10% (R2); rumput lapang + pelet Indigofera 20% (R3). Parameter yang diukur adalah bobot badan anak lahir dan bobot badan anak prasapih (umur 3 bulan). Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA ) satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun Indigofera 10% memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot lahir anak kambing betina dan tidak berbeda nyata terhadap parameter lainnya namun cenderung menurun pada pemberian tepung daun Indigofera 20%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun Indigofera dalam pelet sampai 20% memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata terhadap produktivitas kambing Boerka periode bunting dan laktasi. (Effect of dietary pellet containing indigofera leaf meal on productivity of Boerka goat at pregnancy and lactating period) ABSTRAK. The research was aimed to investigate effect of dietary pellet containing Indigofera leaf meal on productivity of Boerka goat at pregnancy and lactating period. A total of 60 heads of Boerka goat who were pregnant at 4th, parity of 2nd and 3rd and average of body weight when mated were 32,63±5,29 kg. Research used randomized block design with 3 feed treatments and 20 replicated: native grass + commercial pellet (R1); native grass + Indigofera’s pellet 10% (R2); native grass + Indigofera’s pellet 20%. The parameter measured were body weight of lamb born and body weight of lamb at pre-weaning (3 month aged). Data were analyzed used Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) one way dan continued with Multiple’s Range Test of Duncan. The result of statistical analysis showed that dietary Indigofera leaf meal 10% gave significant effect on birth weight of female lamb and non significant effect on other parameters but tends to decreased in dietary Indigofera leaf meal 20%. It could be conclude that utilization of Indigofera leaf meal until 20% in pellet gave not significant effect on productivity of Boerka goat at pregnancy and lactating period.

Pendahuluan: Laktasi merupakan periode penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Salah satu faktor risiko yang menyebabkan penurunan densitas tulang mandibula adalah konsumsi kopi berlebih selama masa laktasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konsumsi kopi Arabika selama masa laktasi terhadap densitas tulang mandibula anak tikus Wistar. Metode: Penelitian eksperimental laboratoris dilakukan terhadap 12 ekor tikus Wistar betina yang sedang menyusui. Penghitungan besar sampel berdasarkan jumlah kelompok penelitian (tiga kelompok), yaitu dengan rumus Arifin, dan didapatkan hasil empat ekor tikus untuk setiap kelompok penelitian, sehingga total jumlah sampel adalah 12 ekor tikus. Tiga kelompok penelitian terdiri dari kelompok kontrol (K) yang diberi akuades, kelompok perlakuan yang diberi kopi dosis normal (P1), dan kelompok perlakuan yang diberi kopi dosis berlebih (P2). Akuades dan kopi diberikan selama 21 hari sejak tikus mulai menyusui anaknya. Masing-masing induk tikus diambil satu anaknya untuk di-euthanasia pada hari ke-22. Kemudian dilakukan pengambilan sampel tulang mandibula dan dilakukan pengambilan rontgen foto periapikal. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran densitas tulang mandibula menggunakan densitometer. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji one-way ANOVA dan LSD. Hasil: Hasil dari uji one-way ANOVA dari densitas tulang mandibula anak tikus menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan (p=0,0001) diantara seluruh kelompok penelitian. Hasil uji LSD menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,0001) antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok yang diberi kopi dosis normal maupun dengan kelompok kopi dosis berlebih, demikian juga antara kelompok yang diberi dosis normal dengan dosis berlebih. Simpulan: Konsumsi kopi Arabika dalam dosis berlebih selama masa laktasi pada tikus Wistar dapat menurunkan densitas tulang mandibula anak tikus Wistar. One of the risk factors that cause a decrease in mandibular bone density is excessive coffee consumption during lactation. This study was aimed to analyse the effect of coffee consumption, especially Arabica coffee, during lactation period on the rats’ mandibular bone density. Methods: This study was an experimental laboratory study of 12 lactating female Wistar rats. The sample size calculation was based on the number of research groups (three groups), the Arifin formula, and the results were four rats for each research group, so the total number of samples was 12 rats. The three research groups consisted of control group (K) which was given aquadest, treatment group that was given a normal dose of coffee (P1), and a treatment group that was given an excessive dose of coffee (P2). Aquadest and coffee were given for 21 days since the initial lactation period. One offspring of each female rat was taken to be euthanised on the 22nd day. Afterwards, the mandibular bone samples were taken from the young rats, and then the periapical x-rays was performed. Furthermore, the mandibular bone density measurement was carried out using a densitometer. Data was analysed using the one-way ANOVA and LSD tests. Results: The one-way ANOVA test of the mandibular bone density of the rats’ offspring showed a significant difference (p = 0.0001) between all study groups. The LSD test results showed a significant difference (p = 0.0001) between the control group and the group was given the normal dose of coffee and the group with an excessive dose of coffee and between the group that was given the normal and the excessive dose. Conclusion: Consumption of Arabica coffee in excessive dose during lactation of female Wistar rats can reduce the mandibular bone density of the offspring. Sebagian besar penyebab kegagalan menyusui berasal dari ketidakpercayadirian ibu. Salah satu intervensi yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu keberhasilan menyusui adalah melalui autogenic training untuk mengurangi kecemasan dan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri ibu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh relaksasi autogenic training terhadap durasi menyusui. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental posttest only – non equivalent control group design. Sampel sebanyak 30 diambil dari populasi yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, dibagi menjadi kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan. Intervensi autogenic training dilakukan ibu di rumah selama 3 minggu. Post-test dilakukan home visite pada bulan pertama, ketiga dan keenam. Data dianalisis menggunakan one tailed independen t test dengan α < 0,05. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kelompok perlakuan dapat memberikan ASI lebih lama dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (p= 0,005). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa relaksasi autogenic training berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan durasi pemberian ASI. Penerapan hasil penelitian ini dapat dilakukan untuk membantu ibu untuk keberhasilan menyusui eksklusif. Abstract Increased Duration of Breastfeeding on Postpartum Mothers through Autogenic Training Relaxation. The failures of breastfeeding are mostly caused by mothers’ inconfidence. Nurses can give psychological support by autogenic training relaxation which strengthens mothers` confidence to breastfeed exclusively. This method teaches mothers in building a positive intention and motivation to help the process of breastfeeding. This study aims to prove that autogenic training relaxation may expend the duration of breastfeeding. By using an experimental, posttest only - non equivalent control group design, 30 subjects are taken based on the criteria and divided into two groups. After providing autogenic training for 3 weeks, post-test conducted on the first, third and sixth months. Data were analyzed using one-tailed independent t test with α= 0.05. The analysis showed that the intervention group could breastfeed longer than control group (p= 0.005). It can be concluded that autogenic training affected the duration of breastfeeding. These results can be considered that autogenic training as an intervention in support for exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: autogenic training, breastfeeding, duration, relaxation

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of lactation number and months on milk yield, somatic cell count (SCC) and udder measurements in Holstein cows. In the study, 30 first lactation and 49 second lactation, totally 79 Holstein cows housing in a farm located in Nigde province (Turkey) were used. Somatic cell count and udder measurements were determined at each visit of the farm per months, while lactation milk yield of each animal was calculated using Test Interval Method. It was observed that the effect of lactation number on lactation milk yield (P<0.01) and SCC (P<0.05) was increased significantly. The effect of lactation number on udder measurements was significant (P<0.01) except front teat length (FTD). Influence of lactation months on milk yield and SCC was increased and statistically significant (P<0.01). The effect of lactation months on distance between front teats (DFT), distance between rear teats (DRT), front teat diameter (FTD), rear teat diameter (RTD) was significant (P<0.01). A negative correlation was found between SCC and milk yield, front teat clearance from ground (FTC) and rear teat clearance from ground (RTC). On the other hand, a positive correlation was also evident between RTD and distance between front and rear teats. Furthermore, there were positive correlation between milk yield and DFT, DFR, DRT, and FTD, whereas a negative correlation was observed between milk yield and FTC. In conclusion, cows in second lactation showed importantly increased milk yield and SCC as compared to cows in first lactation, whereas FTC and RTC decreased and other udder measurements increased. The aims of this study were to evaluate the effect of vitamin E (vit E) and black tea extract (BTE) as antioxidant sources in high poly-unsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) rations on blood malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations and the performance of reproduction and lactation of Garut ewes. Twelve ewes on late pregnancy periods were divided into completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments were control: basal diet without antioxidant, vit E: basal diet supplemented with vit E, and BTE: basal diet supplemented with BTE. The results showed that vit E and BTE supplementation did not affect blood MDA concentration of ewes on late pregnancy, lactation periods, and weaning periods. Antioxidant sources supplementation had no effect on ewe's nutrient intake, pre-lambing live weight change (LWC), and post-lambing average daily gain (ADG). Vit E supplementation had decreased the milk production, but both of antioxidant sources give positive effect on the milk composition. Nevertheless, the supplementation of vit E and BTE increased the twin type of birth. The vit E supplementation resulted higher lambing rate than BTE, although it had the highest mortality rate of twin lamb. BTE also had better lamb weaning weight than vit E. BTE and vit E gave similar results in ewes productivity on lactation period. In conclusion, this study confirmed that BTE was more effective used as antioxidant source than vit E to prevent the oxidative reaction of PUFA. Vit E supplementation on high PUFA ration reduced ewes milk production but it had similar reproduction performance with BTE. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
