This article aims to use three quantitatively stated hypotheses to determine the reasons for the rise of microbreweries in the Czech Republic, whose numbers have been growing constantly since 1991. The explanations defined by the hypotheses are concentration growth, and thus the fall in the number of units of production in the industrial brewery segment, the quantitative impact of beer consumption, and finally again a quantitatively-defined demographic aspect. The results are summarised and elaborated on in the conclusion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The main objective was to find out consumers' view of the brewing industry and microbreweries. In recent years, the trend of small and domestic breweries has increased in the Czech republic and their numbers are growing by dozens each year. It differs a lot from large industrial breweries, because the smaller amount of production makes possible to produce special types of beer. This is tempting at microbreweries, specialty beers and their possible flavors, other beer brewing technologies and a homely approach.

With the very turbulent evolution of the brewery market, caused in few past years mostly by the fact that there was and still is a huge growth of microbreweries in The Czech Republic, the whole industry is changing and specifically the segment of microbreweries is becoming more and more competitive. That is why the minibreweries should focus on their strategy, it´s formulation and analysis. At the same time, they should be well aware of the evolution of customer preferences that are undergoing a huge change as well as the brewery industry, and adjust their strategy to these changes. Nowadays, when the beer market disposes of big; supply and the consumers demand and make beer-buying or beer-drinking decisions based on different criteria than they used to in past, it is crucial for the microbreweries to realise the actual trends in beer consumer behavior. For these reasons, this thesis focuses on strategy analysis of the segment of microbreweries in The Czech Republic, by means of qualitative research, and learning the changes in customer preferences, by means of a quantitative research. For reaching the main goal of this thesis two research questions were formulated, one dealing with the microbreweries´ strategy analysis and second dealing with the customer preferences changes. For answering these questions, both secondary (Ministry of Agriculture, Ceskomoravsky svaz minipivovaru, etc.) and primary (gained from the quantitative and qualitative research) data were used. Based on the research results from the literature research in the theoretical part of this thesis, and the conducted research in analytical part of this thesis it is obvious, that tiday customers of microbreweries are not focused on the price criteria as well as they used to in past, but more importantly they demand a high-quality product for which they are willing to pay higher prices. This trend was noticed by microbreweries that set their strategy on producing a queality product and selling it for higher price. That means their strategy is the strategy of diferentiation, in some cases even focal diferentiation. This strategy, taking into account the current customer preferences and needs, seems to be very effective. Microbreweries, even though not conducting any researches of customer preferences, know the changes in this area and take them into account while choosing and formulating their strategy, which means they kind of include the customer into setting their strategy.

Znepokojující přístavba z 90. let tedy dostala modernistní výraz, byla odlehčena, měřítko zlidštěno režnými cihlami a nechala vzniknout terase s výhledem k zámku. Parter komunikuje s okolím a láká kolemjdoucí k návštěvě nového minipivovaru. Kulturní vyžití nabízí také literární kavárna s malou galerií a to fyzické nám poskytne cyklopůjčovna. Horní podlaží skýtají ubytování v podobě pensionu a hostelu., The aim of the thesis was to create documentation for building permit and a part of building design documentation, based on architectural study prepared in subject named AG34 – Architectural Design Studio IV. Main content of the study was reconstruction of the former Zlín county court building and finding a new function for the object that is situated near Zlín castle, Míru square and Svobody park. Basic idea of the project was to utilize as large part of the prime building as is possible, avoid increasing of the built-up area and design a context-friendly object that will bring some new life in this part of the town. Important was also underlining of the most impressive parts of the building that are baroque vaults in the ground floor and frontage from 1922 in the “Czech Modernism” style. Worrisome extension from the 1990’s got a lighter “Czech Modernism” expression, its scale was humanized using brickwork and a new terrace with a clear shot at the Zlín castle was created. The parterre is now friendlier and invites passers-by to visit the new micro-brewery. A literary café with a small gallery provides some cultural activities and also a bicycle rental is here to provide some physical activities too. Upper floors consist a pension and a hostel.

- Abstract
Celkově návrh polyfunkčního domu propojuje městský život centra Mikulova., This bachelor´s thesis is based on the architectural study made within studio work of subject AG033. The subject of the design is new mixed-use building in a gap site at historic centre of the Mikulov city, right below Mikulov castle and it´s castle walls. In terms of function, mixed-use building is used as an apartment building, which is divided into six apartments with size from 2+k to 4+1, including facility spaces. Next there are commerce services, which includes one commerce unit for rent, beerhouse with microbrewery, and wine bar, which uses existing wine cellar underneath the castle walls. In the back yard, there are located covered parking spaces for residents and commerce employees, which are accessible by passage. Mixed-use building is divided by architecture masses to multi-storey street section, which consist of two houses with different height, which are based on historic plots, and one-storey yard section. Street section is conceived as contemporary adaptation of traditional historic character of the city. Both houses of the street section have pitched roofs, made from ceramic roof tiles, with roof windows, which respects roof character of the Mikulov city. Facades are made of two coloured renders, which are divided by houses of the street section. Detailing of facades is made from coloured contrast lines, which are referring to traditional historical details. Yard section has flat green roofs, which helps to relieve mass from build-up area. Facades are made of brick strip tiling, which helps to fuse building with castle walls. The most prominent space is space of a wine bar, which is made on square floor plan, and it has big Czech vaulting with significant centre skylight. Whole design of mixed-use building connects city life in Mikulov city.

Stavba není památkově chráněna, skrývá však barokní klenby z původního pivovaru v 1. podlaží a má charakteristickou lisenovou fasádu a členěná okna. Navržená přístavba a úprava stávajících přístaveb se snaží vhodně funkčně a esteticky doplnit původní stavbu., The aim of the bachelor thesis was to produce project documentation for building permission and part of the detail building documentation. The project was based on an architectural study made during the course AG34 Architectural Design Studio in 2015. The topic of the study was reconstruction and finding a new function for a building of the former seat of the district court of Zlín. The building is situated in an attractive location in the centre of Zlín, at the edge of park Sad svobody, near the Zlín palace and on the walking path between the main city square and the main bus station. The former court building is currently the city’s property and is in a decrepit state, conserved without any function. During it’s life, it has undergone several structural adjustments and has got several extensions. It is not protected by law for it’s historical significance, however, there are baroque vaults on the ground floor from the time the building served as a brewery, characteristic facade with lesenes and divided windows. The new main function of the building is connected to its original purpose, there is designed a new restaurant with a minibrewery, beer spa, short term accommodation of two categories – hotel garni and hostel, and a small shop with spa cosmetics. The aim of the new function was to make use of the building location lucratively considering the resources needed for reconstruction, to emphasise its interesting historical points and bring new life in the vicinity of the building. The newly designed extensions and adjustment of the former ones are meant to functionally and aesthetically complement the current building in an appropriate way.

Bakalářská práce řeší rekonstrukci a obnovu objektu areálu Vlněny v Brně. Neměl by však sloužit jako obraz minulosti, ale především nabídnout možnosti pro maximální možné využití zachované části a doplnit sídlo o funkce, jenž byly dříve eliminovány na úkor efektivnosti, The Bachelor thesis deals with the reconstruction and restoration of the building which is part of Vlněna complex in Brno. Location, in which is the object situated, is undergoing an extensive/large modernisation. Almost all historic buildings of this industrial complex are being replaced with high-rise administration blocks which deviate from historical context of the area. One of those exceptions, is also the object of this thesis. It is a former heating building that supplied energy to a mentioned complex. The attempt of the design was maximal purification from contemporary and purely functional interventions in order to support the historical footprint which is a fundamental factor for revitalization of the remaining parts of the area. The building is, in its own way, a manifestation of its surroundings. The object was cleansed to its visible structure made of bricks and wooden beam ceilings. This is refering to a time when these materials were understood as an essential costruction of every building, until they were replaced with structures from reinforced concrete and transparent facades with purely functional approach, which is visible in this new vision of Vlněna complex. Considering the administration aspect of the rest of the area, the building with its functional usage is trying to stimulate life and by that add space for social facilities. The object poetically named “the centre of regeneration“ includes many ways of relaxation which is an integral element to a monotone activities of administration buildings. The lower parts of the building contain a social function in the form of mini-brewery with beer hall/cellar, and restaurant in second floor. The other floors then offer regeneration, mental and physical, from massages to yoga practice. The result of this thesis is a revitalizational boost of the area. The object, in its function and form, is an opposite of new modern part of the complex. However, the object should not be unders
