MSMEs in Indonesia face fundamental problems in developing business strategies. This research explores the impact of strategic orientation (SO) on business performance. SO involves the integrated role of entrepreneurial orientation (EO), market orientation (MO), and collective orientation (CO) in improving performance. This research also examines the mediating role of CO, MO and the moderating role of EO. Demographic variables are used as control variables. Data obtained from 192 creative industries in Malang Raya with a response rate of 65 percent (124 MSMEs). This study utilizes PLS-SEM methodology to investigate target relationships. The results show that MSME performance is significantly influenced by SO, both EO and MO, but not CO. This confirms the direct influence of EO and MO on performance, as well as the indirect influence of MO on the EO-performance relationship. In addition, this research reveals that the performance of MSMEs managed by women tends to be lower than MSMEs managed by men. This is because the EO characteristics of men are greater than those of women. The implication of these findings is that MSMEs must improve EO and MO. Effective CO needs to be strengthened so that it can make a major contribution to sustainability of MSMEs.

MSMEs that previously only relied on human resources are now forced to keep up with the times by utilizing IT in every process, from raw material procurement, production processes to distribution processes in order to remain competitive in facing a business world full of challenges. Information Technology, which is closely related to digitalization, can help companies gain sustainable competitiveness in the supply chain by improving certain asset relationships, facilitating information exchange, and building long-term cooperative relationships as a form of implementing Supply Chain Digitalization. The ability of MSMEs to implement green supply chain management is a unique ability to improve company performance. For example, a company can reduce production costs by involving its suppliers in several green initiatives, such as material recycling, environmentally friendly packaging, and efficient use of energy. Companies with high supply chain resilience will be strong and grow significantly in the face of crises, thereby minimizing losses. Therefore, companies with good supply chain resilience will have a competitive edge so they can grow faster and win the competition from their competitors. For this reason, this study aimed to examine the effect of supply chain digitization, green supply chain, and supply chain resilience on competitiveness. This research is Explanatory Research. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The total sample was 400 MSMEs Managers in Pamekasan Regency, and used data analysis, namely Structural Equation Model (SEM) with AMOS software. The results highlighted that Supply Chain Digitalization, Green Supply Chain and Supply Chain Resilience has a direct and significant influence on MSMEs Performance. Moreover, Competitiveness partially mediates the relationship between Supply Chain Digitalization, Green Supply Chain and Supply Chain Resilience and MSMEs Performance. The findings of this study suggest that managers should be made aware that Supply Chain Digitalization, Green Supply Chain, Supply Chain Resilience can be an important driver for Competitiveness which in turn would enhance MSMEs Performance.

The Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector is critical pillars of the Indonesian economy. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on MSMEs. The existence of activity violation policies, namely lockdown and social distancing, needs to be anticipated by MSME actors because it has changed consumer behavior and business competition. Digital transformation is a solution for MSMEs to survive the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of access to finance on MSME performance moderated by digitalization. This study utilized 83 MSMEs as a sample. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to MSME owners who were selected as research samples. Data analysis was performed using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method. The results of the study indicated that digitization significantly strengthens the relationship between financial access and MSME performance. For MSME actors, digitization will also make it simpler to introduce products, boost turnover, and assist with recording and producing financial reports.

AbstractThe utilization of cloud computing technology by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) businesses has become increasingly widespread. The reason for this trend is the relatively low cost in comparison to the benefits derived, which has led to a continued adoption of cloud computing. Consistent with this, the objective of this study is to investigate the factors that influence the adoption of cloud computing and its impact on MSMEs performance. An integrated model was developed based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, which combines the elements of cloud computing adoption and micro and small business enterprise performance into a single model. The data for this study was obtained through a structured survey questionnaire administered to 197 owners/managers of MSMEs in Indonesia. The results obtained through SEM-PLS analysis indicate that factors such as relative advantage, organizational readiness, bandwagon effect, competitor pressure, computer self-efficacy, and computer anxiety significantly influence the adoption of cloud computing. However, the factors of complexity and top management support were found to have no significant effect on cloud computing adoption. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the expansion of the TOE Framework.

- Abstract
The development of halal tourism in Indonesia is the focus of the Indonesian government and MSMEs have an important role in supporting the development of halal tourism in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the relationship between marketing communication and Islamic financial literacy on Islamic financial inclusion and MSME performance in the halal-tourism sector. A covariance-based SEM technique utilizing LISREL software was used to analyze the data from this investigation. Nonprobability sampling was employed to collect the data, and the sample consists of 152 halal-tourism entrepreneurs. This study found a positive and significant association between Islamic financial inclusion and business performance. This study also found that there is a positive and significant association between Islamic financial literacy and Islamic financial inclusion. Marketing communication and Islamic financial inclusion have a positive relationship, but it is insignificant. This study implies that to establish a halal-tourist ecosystem for long-term development in Indonesia, commercial actors must lend their full support. This study demonstrates that they can thrive when MSMEs in the halal-tourist ecosystem are backed by Islamic banking and Islamic rural banks. As a result, a more accommodating approach from Islamic banking is required to provide access to halal finance for business actors in Indonesia's halal-tourism ecosystem. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Effective managerial skills can play a key role in the internal governance of micro and small businesses in Africa, enabling them to survive, compete and thrive in a dynamic business environment. However, due to the low absorption capacity, many micro and small entrepreneurs and managers lack the necessary managerial skills. We collected data from MSMEs owners and managers in Tanzania to examine the managerial skills required and their effect on business performance based on thematic content analysis and regression analysis. The results show that the managerial skills of MSMEs owners and managers have a significantly positive effect on MSMEs performance, in particular, financial management, marketing, human relations, and entrepreneurial skills were crucial skills in running small businesses successfully. However, financial management, marketing and entrepreneurial skills were the main skills gaps for many MSMEs owners and managers, suggesting that education, mentoring, and training in these areas for MSMEs owners and managers need to be strengthened. This study argues that since young people form the majority of the stakeholders running small businesses, targeted policies and strategies to promote entrepreneurship among young people through entrepreneurial learning and experiences can help instil an entrepreneurial mindset, one of the crucial skills in small business management. - Abstract
The role of fintech may pose a good impact on MSMEs and society in carrying out financial transactions and services digitally, easily and quickly. This requires improving inadequate financial literacy to encourage inappropriate financial decisions and avoid fraud or loss of funds from using fintech. This condition can play a big role for MSME players and society in economic growth which is able to apply digital technology well. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine whether financial technology influences MSME players' financial literacy and performance, as well as how financial technology affects MSMEs' performance indirectly through financial literacy. This research sample was taken using purposive sampling, with the criteria being MSMEs that sell food and beverage products and those that have used financial technology products. There were 100 MSME units used as samples in the research obtained from the Surabaya City Cooperatives, SMEs and Trade Department. Research data collection uses a questionnaire and the data analysis technique for this research uses path analysis. The findings of the research indicate that financial literacy may moderate the impact of financial technology on the performance of food and beverage MSMEs in Surabaya and has a noticeable beneficial impact on MSMEs' performance. This explains that increasing adaptation to the use of financial technology needs to be supported by increasing financial literacy by MSME players to have the ability to enhance MSMEs' performance.

MSME is a significant determinant of economic growth, has an enormous contribution to national GDP, and help in creating jobs, and also played a critical role in a time of economic crisis. MSMEs is demanded to be able to compete in marketing their business. The writing of this article tries to explain how to measure performance in MSMEs with the size and assessment of existing performance. This study uses a literature research approach with secondary data collected through books, research reports, scientific journals, official agency documentation such as the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency. The empowerment of MSMEs becomes very strategic because of its high potential in driving the economic activities, and at the same time, becoming the source of income for most people in improving their welfare. The creation and development of local business that create jobs and potential economic opportunities are essential for the rural economy. The region can gain competitiveness and, in turn, can increase the local income and employment. The benefits of performance appraisal can be felt by the owner with a measure of business success that can be seen from the increased level of sales, increased capital, increasing the number of workers, increased levels of income and profits, and sales or a wider market. The evaluation of MSME's performance is carried out on the internal and external parties of MSMEs. Thus, the MSME's performance will be known from inside and outside MSME in order to achieve a successful business and be able to compete in national and international markets.

As a result, a more accommodating approach from Islamic banking is required to provide access to halal finance for business actors in Indonesia’s halal-tourism ecosystem.
