All members of the Athelginae are abdominal parasites of paguroid crabs. Five species of athelgines from the Florida Museum of Natural History are reported here, three from new localities and hosts. Allathelges pakistanensis Kazmi & Markham, 1999 is recorded from Oman, from the type host. Athelges caudalis Barnard, 1955 is recorded from the Philippines from a new host, Calcinus latens (Randall, 1840). Parathelges sp., closely resembling the Atlantic species P. tumidipes Markham, 1972, is recorded from the Federated States of Micronesia from Clibanarius corallinus (H. Milne Edwards, 1848). New specimens of Pseudostegias dulcilacuum Markham, 1982 and Parathelges aniculi (Whitelegge, 1897) are recorded from Thailand and the Philippines from known hosts. Keys to species of Pseudostegias , Parathelges and Athelges are provided, and recorded hosts and localities of all species of Athelges and Parathelges are summarized. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The genera Abaria Mosely 1948 and Drepanocentron Schmid 1982 are recorded in China for the first time. In this study, two new species, Abaria herringbona sp. nov., from Guang-xi, and Drepanocentron fuxiensis sp. nov., from An-hui, are described and illustrated. Male genitalia of these two new species is distinguishable from those of other Abaria and Drepanocentron species. In addition, Melanotrichia attia Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1992 is a new record for the Chinese caddisfly fauna.

A study on fresh-water green coccoid algae was carried out at ponds, swamps, reservoirs, lakes and rivers (290 sites) from May 2011 to January 2014. In this study, 4 genera and 13 taxa of the family Radiococaceae having the remnants of cell wall existing for a long time in the colonial gelatinous envelope are classified and identified from 24 sites. Many taxa of this family, however, have not been recorded in Korea yet. Of these 13 taxa, 5 taxa are newly recorded in Korea by this study: 1) Schizochlamydella solitaria, 2) Thorakochloris planktonica, 3) Radiococcus bavaricus, 4) R. nimbatus, and 5) R. planktonicus.

This study was carried out on freshwater chlorococcal green algae in ponds, swamps, reservoirs, lakes and rivers (290 sites) from May 2012 to January 2014. The family Radiococaceae was identified and classified into 3 genera, 12 species and 1 variety at 23 sites. These taxa were Eutetramorus. nygaardii, E. tetraporus, E. planctonicus, E. fottii, E. globosus, E. polycoccus, Coenocystis planctonica, C. planctonica var. hercynica, C. micrococca, C. subcylindrica, Gloeocystis baneergattensis, G. papuana, and G. polydermatica. These taxa may or not had remnants of the cell wall in the colonial gelatinous envelope for a short time. Of these, 2 taxa are newly recorded in Korea from this study: 1) C. micrococca and 2) G. polydermatica.

The present study summarized the occurrence, distribution and autecology about 31 taxa of the green algae (Chlorophytes) collected from several swamps, reservoir and highland wet-lands in the South Korea from 2010 to 2013. This paper deals with a total 31 taxa including of 26 genera which are recorded for the first time in Korea. Among these algae, 18 genera including Pyrobotrys Arnoldi, Volvulina Playfair, Dicellula Svirenko, Echinocoleum Jao & Lee, Hofmania Chodat, Gloeotila Kützing, Tetrachlorella Korschikov, Botryospherella P.C.Silva etc., were newly recorded in Korean fresh-water algal flora.

A study on Chlorococcal algae was carried out at 21 stations (ponds, swamps, reservoirs, lakes and rivers) from May 2011 to January 2012. The families of Botryococcaceae and Characiaceae of Chlorococcales were investigated to the extent of 8 genera, 20 species. Among them, 10 taxa are newly recorded in algal flora of Korea by Kim and Kim (2012) and this study reviewed about ; 1) Family Botryococcaceae: Dictyosphaerium elegans, D. reniforme, D. simplex, D. elongatum, 2) Family Characiaceae: Characium conicum, Ankyra ancora, A. judayi, A. calcarifera, Schroederia spiralis, S. indica.

A study on Chlorococcal algae was carried out at 33 stations (ponds, swamps, reservoirs, lakes and rivers) from May 2009 to January 2013. The families Hydrodictyaceae and Coelastraceae of order Chlorococcales were investigated, including 5 genera, 29 species, and 17 varieties. Among them, 8 taxa were newly recorded for Korea; 1) Family Hydrodictyaceae: Pediastrum asymmetricum, P. boryanum var. campanulatum, 2) Family Coelastraceae : Actinastrum aciculare, A. hantzschii var. subtile, Coelastrum indicum, C. microporum var. octaedricum, C. morus, C. pulchrum.

Simple Summary: The small family Xiphocentronidae Ross 1949 (186 species and 7 genera) has a wide distribution and high diversity in the Oriental region. Despite the rich biodiversity of Trichoptera in eastern China, only one xiphocentronid genus (Melanotrichia), with three species, is recognized. The status of Xiphocentronidae as an evolutionary lineage distinct from Psychomyiidae has been subject to debate in the past. The specimens in this study provide additional records on the distribution of two genera in China, which are conducive to biological and morphological studies and can also provide molecular data support for further studies.
