The electrification of construction machinery is being phased in through the electrification of small compact machines, including mini excavators, small wheel loaders and dumpers. This is because these machines are deployed in urban environments and cities are increasingly looking for solutions to reduce exhaust emissions and noise. In order to make the use of electric machinery as efficient as possible, it is necessary to know the charging infrastructure options on site. The current calculation model for determining the electrical power needs for a construction site does not account for the needs for charging electric construction machinery. However, this component can have a significant impact on the sizing of the electrical connection for the construction site. A possible solution is to generate and store electricity in a battery storage facility on site, which can then provide a given amount of power immediately within its capacity. At the same time, this component can eliminate unstable power draws and the occurrence of unauthorised withdrawals. Because of the system's renewable solar energy source combined with on-site storage, such energy is the most planet-friendly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
