Specialists in anaesthesiology and intensive care in Poland are authorized to administer anaesthesia to patients in all age groups. Due to the diverse conditions related to both the patients themselves and the work in facilities providing services for children, a field known as paediatric anaesthesiology has informally emerged. Currently, despite clear recommendations and the availability of dedicated equipment, the popularity of utilizing regional anaesthesia in the paediatric population is lower than in adults, remaining at a level difficult to accept. In order to improve this situation in 2023, the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy branch in the United Kingdom (Regional Anaesthesia UK, RA-UK) has created a list of seven simple, versatile techniques of regional anaesthesia that every anaesthesiologist should be able to provide to patients in facilities at every level of referral. This paper will discuss the basic conditions related to paediatric regional anaesthesia as well as the individual techniques proposed by RA-UK. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
