Este artigo propõe uma genealogia das visões maquínicas da gestualidade. O texto está estruturado em três partes. A primeira descreve como a reprodutibilidade técnica da imagem é posta a serviço da reduplicação do gesto, de sua abstração e de sua apropriação em diversos domínios. A segunda parte demonstra que a matriz do modelo técnico contemporâneo, voltada para a predição dos comportamentos, já estava parcialmente definida pela cibernética. Finalmente, a última parte analisa os dispositivos de visão computacional baseados na detecção automática de gestos e movimentos voltados para a predição e o controle da conduta. Esse percurso genealógico evidencia dois vetores de transformação: uma progressiva abstração e expropriação dos gestos pela imagem técnica e um relativo apagamento da identidade e da subjetividade à medida que o viés preditivo da imagem técnica é reforçado.

This article discusses a study that introduces an interval method for evaluating Armenia's export dynamics in uncertain economic contexts. This article analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labor market in Armenia. It reveals that the pandemic has led to significant job losses in the country, and existing labor market policies were inadequate in addressing the challenges. Similar studies conducted in different countries also show negative effects on employment, with government assistance programs not effectively mitigating the impact. For a long time, the classification of central nervous system (CNS) tumors has been based on histological findings supported by complementary tests, such as immunohistochemistry, established in tissues. The fifth edition of the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System, published in 2021 (CNS-5), incorporates numerous molecular markers with clinical-pathological utility that are important for a more accurate classification of CNS neoplasms. These markers help to define adult diffuse gliomas, including IDH-mutant oligodendroglioma with 1p/19q codeletion (grades 2-3), IDH-mutant astrocytoma without 1p/19q codeletion (grades 2-4), and wild-type IDH glioblastoma (GBM). The median survival in patients with GBM is only 14.6 months, primarily due to resistance to the most widely used treatment protocol worldwide, which involves surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy with temozolomide (TMZ), a potent genotoxic alkylating agent. The selection criteria for treatment and the estimation of prognosis in patients with this disease are predominantly based on clinical and pathological factors. In recent years, numerous molecular alterations have been reported, expanding our understanding on the biology of these tumors. However, only a few of these molecular alterations serve as biomarkers that influence clinical decision-making and treatment strategies. This article reviews the molecular alterations reported in peripheral blood for high-grade gliomas and emphasizes the importance of standardizing new biomarkers alongside histological findings to enhance our knowledge of these tumors. The study predicted chicken meat production in 2019-2025 period for the leading chicken-producing countries with the help of the 1961-2018 Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) data since chicken meat consumption is so high worldwide. The USA ranks the first place while Brazil and China take second and third places, respectively. The analysis of the pioneer chicken meat-producing countries indicates that while the portion of the USA in world production decreases, the share, particularly Brazil and China, will approach that of the USA. World chicken meat production, which was 7.56 million tons in 1961, will increase to 139.19 million tons in 2025, and this production per capita is predicted to increase to 17.0 kg in 2025 from 2.4, 5.35, 9.80, and 15.0 kg in 1961, 1981, 2001, and 2018, respectively. Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Japan, and India will run the highest increases in production. However, the share of countries in chicken meat production will decrease from 61% to 60% in 2019-2025 compared to the 2012-2018 periods. This condition showed that apart from some leading countries, the production will keep a rapid increase in production. The increase in chicken meat production and chicken meat import worldwide will improve human nutrition, especially in developing and underdeveloped countries. Countries that run cost advantages and high-quality life standards in line with technological innovations produce processed chicken products, strengthen animal health, hygiene, and transportation standards, and attach importance to advertising activities that increase consumer demand will be more advantageous in this market. Decreasing student attrition rates is one of the main objectives of most higher education institutions. However, to achieve this goal, universities need to accurately identify and focus their efforts on students most likely to quit their studies before they graduate. This has given rise to a need to implement forecasting models to predict which students will eventually drop out. In this paper, we present an early warning system to automatically identify first-semester students at high risk of dropping out. The system is based on a machine learning model trained from historical data on first-semester students. The results show that the system can predict "at-risk" students with a sensitivity of 61.97%, which allows early intervention for those students, thereby reducing the student attrition rate. Eu mostro neste artigo que Schopenhauer e Bergson, mesmo abordando o problema da ação livre a partir de pontos de vista filosóficos opostos, concordam em caracterizar as ações humanas de um modo que não é nem determinista, nem compatível com a tese do liberum arbitrium. Schopenhauer, embora equivocadamente tente demonstrar a necessidade de tais ações, é obrigado a reconhecê-las como grundlos e imprevisíveis, enquanto Bergson, embora pretenda mostrá-las como sendo livres, ao final admite que elas não são objeto de uma escolha através da razão. Essa coincidência inesperada entre ambos os filósofos, a respeito do problema da liberdade da ação humana, será explorada neste texto.

This paper investigates the phenomenon of judicial reorganization in Brazil between the years 2013 to 2018, identifying key factors that explain the process of judicial reorganization. Specifically, this research answers to the following question: for the Brazilian case, what are the relevant variables to forecast judicial reorganization? Thus, it seeks to put down an existing gap, since no work has been found in the literature dealing with the forecast of judicial reorganization in Brazil. This research is justified by the following factors: relevance and growth of judicial reorganization, seen from the perspective of the Brazilian reorganization law; the scarce empirical literature that deals with judicial reorganization in Brazil; the importance of the existence of quantitative models that explain with high precision the judicial reorganization of companies in Brazil. This research advances the frontier on judicial recovery in Brazil and increases the empirical knowledge about the applicability of Brazilian Law 11.101/2005. To answer the question above, two predictive models were developed, comparing them, a Cox model and a logistic model. The results show the use and effectiveness of both methods, although highlights the superiority of the logistic model as the predictive method of judicial reorganization in Brazil, based in indicators of liquidity, profitability, indebtedness and rotativity. This paper studies monthly precipitation time series in Viçosa MG, Brazil. We aimed to detect serial patterns in precipitation like trend and seasonality and make predictions for the 2019 year. The idea was to understand water shortage events that occur in Viçosa as well as the challenges regarding water supply for human consumption and agricultural production faced by urban and rural citizens. We used time series and SARIMA (1,0,0) x (0,1,1) model approaches selected based on Bayesian and Akaike Information criteria values (BIC and AIC, respectively). In addition, the ARCH (2) model, selected through AIC, was used to fit SARIMA (1,0,0) x (0,1,1) residues with heteroscedasticity. Our results reveal no changes in precipitation for Viçosa, MG, Brazil, with large variations observed only for specific periods.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo modelar e prever a concentração de Material Particulado Inalável (PM10), a fim de analisar a capacidade preditiva dos modelos de séries temporais: ARMAX, ARIMA, Alisamento Exponencial Simples, Biparamétrico e Holt-Winters. Os dados que compõem as séries analisadas pertencem a Fundação Estadual de Proteção Ambiental (FEPAM), referente ao município de Canoas-RS, no ano de 2014. Os modelos foram ajustados com auxílio do software RStudio. Como resultados, constatou-se que o modelo ARMAX, com a inclusão de variáveis exógenas (Monóxido de carbono (CO) e Dióxido de enxofre (SO2)), produziu melhores resultados de previsão em relação aos seus concorrentes para a variável PM10. Também, verificou-se que modelos de séries temporais da Classe ARMA e ARMAX podem ser utilizados para previsão da PM10, entretanto os modelos da classe de Alisamento Exponencial não são recomendados, pois não se ajustaram adequadamente as séries em estudo. a previsão de demanda é uma metodologia da administração de empresas para estimar um valor futuro de uma grandeza de interesse. Realizar previsões de demanda significa reconhecer padrões de comportamento em séries históricas e predizer o comportamento futuro ou, ainda, identificar fatores causais que afetam o comportamento e extrapolá-lo. Este artigo tem por objetivo realizar uma revisão da literatura dos métodos de previsão de demanda com o propósito de reunir os métodos e os modelos disponíveis acerca dos conceitos utilizados atualmente na administração de empresas relacionados ao consumo e à produção de produtos e serviços. A metodologia utilizada é a revisão da literatura com abordagem qualitativa, com o propósito de dar uma visão descritiva geral dos métodos dominantes utilizados em previsão de demanda. Foi realizado o mapeamento da literatura para identificar o estado da ciência por meio da produção científica disponível nos bancos de dados Scopus e Google Scholar. Os métodos qualitativos e os causais estão mais bem associados a previsões de médio e longo prazos. A análise de séries temporais bem como os métodos dos diversos tipos de médias e de suavização exponencial são indicados como os mais adequados para previsões de curto prazo. Um recurso utilizado em diversas realidades é a construção de um modelo próprio de previsão de demanda, o qual utilize técnicas, aspectos, conceitos e características de diferentes métodos e modelos. É fundamental monitorar o modelo adotado, manter os dados de campo e de previsão sob controle e, se houver desvios, corrigir o modelo.

This study aimed to quantify the participation of male master swimmers during ten seasons (2008/2009 - 2018/2019) in the national master swimmers and predict the results for the 2020/2021 season in the events of 50 100, 200 and 400 m freestyle. Eight age groups were considered, namely, A to H with a total of 5368 participants, in the four events analysed 50, 100, 200 and 400m freestyle. The best time of each race was recorded in the selected age groups that took place in the last decade of the National Summer Championship, through the specific website "Swimrakings" (https://www.swimrankings.net/). The resulting equation for the calculation was y = (-)ax² - bx + c, y being the rate of increase or decrease in swimming performance and the x variation depending on the year of events that one intends to estimate for 2021, x = 13. The results showed an increase in the number of participations in middle age groups (35-49 years) and a prediction of improvements in the results of 21 events for all the swimming races studied. In conclusion, we can verify that prediction becomes essential for the definition of new objectives and evolutionary trends in swimming. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Resumo: A previsão dos prêmios do seguro agrícola tem impacto relevante no dimensionamento orçamentário do Programa de Subvenção ao Prêmio do Seguro Rural (PSR). Pela ótica da responsabilidade e do planejamento do gasto público, é preciso estimar com relativa precisão quanto se pretende despender com o Programa no curto e médio prazo (Emenda Constitucional nº 95, de 2016). O presente estudo faz uma comparação de métodos para a projeção do prêmio do seguro agrícola por região. Foram utilizados os modelos SARIMA e os algoritmos NNAR, TBATS, MAPA e ELM, com e sem a covariável de subsídio. As metodologias foram aplicadas aos dados mensais do volume de prêmio do seguro agrícola das regiões Sul, Sudeste, Centro-Oeste e Nordeste do Brasil de 2006 a 2018. Foi observado que o modelo SARIMA univariado mostrou o melhor resultado nas regiões Centro-Oeste e Nordeste, ao passo que o SARIMA e o ELM com a covariável foram superiores na região Sul e Sudeste, respectivamente. A partir desses resultados, foi possível discutir a relevância da subvenção para a ampliação do seguro nas regiões analisadas.

Este artigo objetivou estimar a previsão para a arrecadação mensal do ICMS do estado do Ceará para o período entre novembro de 2018 e outubro de 2019, a partir dos dados coletados no site da Secretaria da Fazenda do Governo do Estado do Ceará no período entre janeiro de 1998 a outubro de 2018. O método utilizado foi a análise de séries temporais por meio da família Box-Jenkins, a partir dos modelos SARIMA com drift, corroborando com achados anteriores. Os resultados destacam que a previsão mantém o padrão cíclico e sazonal da série histórica, destacando, dentre outros aspectos, a acurácia da previsão pelo modelo SARIMA (1,1,1), cujo MAPE (Média Percentual Absoluta do Erro) foi de 4,72%, ficando evidente a importância do componente sazonal na definição da dinâmica da série e que a decomposição se mostra bem ajustada, o que é detido pela característica de ruído branco da variação residual.

Atualmente a dengue é considerada um dos maiores problemas de saúde pública no Brasil e no mundo, especialmente em regiões tropicais, onde as condições ambientais (temperatura, precipitação pluviométrica, processo de urbanização, etc.) favorecem a presença de criadouros, que permitem o desenvolvimento e a proliferação do mosquito Aedes Aegypti, o vetor da doença. O aumento do número de casos de dengue é resultado de vários fatores, que facilitam a introdução, a transmissão e a dispersão do vírus, tais como: a utilização de meios de transportes cada vez mais rápidos; o aumento do processo de migração humana; a urbanização desordenada; a fragilidade da estrutura e planejamento, principalmente das periferias; o acréscimo do uso de recipientes descartáveis e a falta de saneamento ambiental. Assim, o objetivo geral deste trabalho foi analisar a incidência de dengue em municípios da região da Alta Paulista. Especificamente, foram ajustados modelos fixos de séries temporais para séries históricas de incidência de dengue nos seis principais municípios da referida região e foram obtidas previsões de incidência, usando as modelagens que proporcionaram melhores ajustes aos dados. Os resultados mostraram que os modelos de alisamento exponencial são os mais robustos para ajustar os dados de incidência de dengue e, consequentemente, para realizar previsões.

Introdução: A COVID-19 teve início em dezembro de 2019 na China e em fevereiro de 2020 no Brasil. Até 29 de agosto de 2020, o Brasil possuía 3.717.156 casos confirmados (60,6% do total da América e 15,0% do total mundial) e 117.665 óbitos (59,4% do total da América e 14,0% do total mundial), ocupando o segundo lugar no mundo. Objetivo: Estimar limites máximos para os quantitativos de casos confirmados e óbitos por COVID-19 no Brasil. Método: A estimativa dos máximos de casos confirmados e óbitos foi realizada através da aplicação de regressão não linear com ajuste da função Gompertz aos dados de COVID-19 registrados até final de agosto de 2020. Resultados: Como resultados foram obtidos máximo de 7.189.300 casos confirmados, com 95,0% do máximo atingidos em fevereiro 2021 e 164.810 óbitos, com 95,0% do máximo atingidos em dezembro 2020. Conclusões: Essas previsões expressam a tendência da evolução temporal dos dados notificados de COVID-19 pelo Our World in Data. Eles não consideram a subnotificação no número de contaminados e de óbitos, tendo em conta a limitada capacidade de testagem da população e a existência de contaminados assintomáticos não contabilizados. Estes fatores somados ao relaxamento descontrolado das medidas preventivas individuais e do distanciamento social poderão ter um efeito significativos nas previsões do modelo matemático usado neste trabalho e no entendimento da transmissão do vírus no Brasil.

O seguro agrícola tem ganho maior atenção no Brasil desde o início da década passada, com a implementação do Programa de Subvenção ao Prêmio do Seguro Rural. O presente estudo testou o desempenho de algoritmos de Machine Learning para as seguradoras anteciparem a ocorrência de sinistro, elaborando previsões por meio de dados de apólices e bases de dados climáticas entre os anos de 2006 e 2017. Foram testados os algoritmos Random Forest, Support Vector Machine e k-Nearest Neighbours. O segundo mostrou melhor performance preditiva de sinistros. No entanto, todos os métodos apresentaram baixa capacidade preditiva para a ocorrência de sinistros.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar um modelo de previsão, com diferentes níveis de severidade, para o controle da mancha bacteriana do tomateiro, comparando-o à pulverização convencional. Realizaram-se os regimes de pulverização com severidade estimada (SE) de 0,05, 0,15 e 0,25, com base no modelo descrito por Marcuzzo et al. (2008), e no sistema convencional com pulverizações a cada 5 e 7 dias. Não houve diferença significativa para produtividade e frutos com sintomas (P < 0,05). Na área abaixo da curva de progresso da doença (AACPD), constatou-se redução de 25,71% na SE = 0,15 para o mesmo número de pulverizações realizadas semanalmente, o qual não diferiu na AACPD da SE =0,05. Para SE = 0,25 houve redução de 54,1% e 35,3% no número de pulverizações e de 9,83% a 19,66% para AACPD quando comparado a cada 5 e 7 dias, respectivamente. O sistema de previsão SE = 0,15 reduziu pulverizações em relação ao sistema convencional de controle.

A anemia infecciosa equina (AIE), doença infecciosa viral que acomete os equídeos, é caracterizada clinicamente por causar febre intermitente, anemia, depressão, emaciação e edema. Com o objetivo de elucidar a dinâmica dessa doença no estado do Tocantins, foi realizada a análise da série temporal dos casos de AIE em equídeos entre 2007 e 2019 para descrever o padrão de sua ocorrência, além de definir o modelo autorregressivo integrado por média móvel (Autoregressive Integrated by Moving Average - ARIMA) mais adequado para se realizar previsões dos casos dessa doença para os anos de 2020 e 2021. A modelagem e análise estatística da série temporal em estudo foi realizada por meio do software R. O modelo preditivo ARIMA(2,1,1) foi avaliado por meio da validação cruzada utilizando a técnica de Holdout, em que os dados de 2007 a 2017 foram utilizados como treino e os dados de 2018 e 2019 foram utilizados como teste. As análises mostraram que a AIE é endêmica no estado do Tocantins e sem padrão de sazonalidade. O modelo ARIMA(2,1,1) apresentou boa capacidade preditiva ajustada para a série temporal em estudo. Porém, a previsão aproximada de 276 casos de AIE em equídeos para os anos de 2020 e 2021 no estado do Tocantins pode variar em decorrência da demanda por exames dessa doença para o trânsito dos equídeos, bem como do saneamento de propriedades consideradas foco. A modelagem ARIMA pode ser utilizada na previsão dos casos de AIE em equídeos no estado do Tocantins o que permite melhorar o planejamento para a execução das ações de controle dessa doença por parte do Serviço Veterinário Oficial.

The Vector Autoregressive Moving Average (VARMA) model is one of the models that is often used in modeling multivariate time series data. In time-series data of economics, especially data return, they usually have high fluctuations in some periods, so the return volatility is unstable. In modeling data return of share prices ADRO and ITMG, the behavior of high volatility will be considered. This study aims to find the best model that fits the data return of share price of the energy companies of PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) and PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG), to analyze the behavior of impulse response of the variables data return ADRO and ITMG, to analyze the granger causality test, and to forecast the next 12 periods. Based on the selection of the best model using the criteria of AICC, HQC, AIC, and SBC, it was found that the VARMA (2.2) -GARCH (1.1) model is the best one for the data in this study. The model VARMA(2,2)-GARCH (1,1) is then written as a univariate model. For the univariate ADRO model, the test statistics F=4,73 and P-value =0,0084, which indicates the model is very significant; and for the univariate ITMG model, the test statistics is F= 5,82 and P-value < 0,0001, which indicates the model is significant. The objective of this research was to forecast the Brazilian national production of agricultural and road machinery in the short term by BOX & JENKINS methodology and determine the persistence effect. Data were obtained at National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (ANFAVEA) from January 1960 to October 2019, totaling 718 monthly observations. The Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH) methodology were used. The ARIMA (2,1,1)-ARCH (2) model was fitted and persistence of 0.60 was determined, showing that the instability in the series will be for a long period of time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The growing consumption of electrical energy, climate change and the development of new technologies demand improvements for efficient energy management. An adequate forecast of the energy consumption is relevant for the sustainable development of any country. This article proposes a systematic review of selected literature based on search chains formed by the terms forecasting, energy and consumption applied to the scientific databases. In the article are compared mostly the models/techniques used, the considered variables and the error metrics used for obtaining knowledge on each one of the proposals, relieve its features and thus highlight the void in the literature that might be determinant for new research work. As conclusions are made evident the continuous use of neural networks for forecasting the energy consumption, the importance of determining the input variables and the error measuring for evaluating the precision of the models. Finally, the development of a model for the CEE short term forecast of a Latin-American developing country based on the comparison and evaluation of different techniques/models, variables and already existing tools is proposed as a new line of research. O presente artigo delineia-se sobre estratégia conhecida no atual mercado competitivo, estando diretamente ligada ao sucesso de empresas. Há algumas décadas as indústrias enxergavam como essencial a fabricação máxima de produtos acabados ou bens de consumo para atender previamente a demanda. Entretanto a estratégia de fabricar em larga escala foi modificada ao longo do tempo, sendo necessária a inclusão da previsão de demanda a fim de evitar o desperdício em geral e ainda atender e satisfazer os clientes, reduzindo os custos extras. Atualmente a empresa que investe e realiza suas previsões obtém excelentes ganhos tanto na sua área de atuação como na logística de armazenagem e movimentação empregadas, reduzindo o orçamento empresarial. A utilização de previsão de demanda possibilita definir o direcionamento da empresa por meio de cálculos simples até os mais complexos, intencionando manter a sua competitividade no mercado e evitar desperdício de mão de obra e de insumos.

Anemia Infecciosa Equina (AIE) é uma doença causada por infecção cosmopolita cujo agente etiológico é um Lentivirus que atinge os equídeos em geral. Esse trabalho tem como objetivos fazer um levantamento da AIE no Estado do Rio de Janeiro por meio de uma série temporal de 2007 a 2011, alem de estimar um modelo para ocorrência dos casos em anos subsequentes, fornecendo informações aos profissionais da área, para que medidas sanitárias mais eficazes possam ser adotadas no controle e erradicação. A ocorrência da AIE no Estado é baixa (0,43%), sendo a maior (0,63%) no ano de 2007. As Regionais que apresentaram maior prevalência da doença foram Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, Cordeiro e Três Rios. As Regionais de Barra Mansa, Itaocara e Campos dos Goytacazes, obtiveram o menor número de exames realizados, assim como apresentaram os menores valores de prevalência da doença.
