- Abstract
This research examines the potential for developing health tourism in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. The region's geographical location, mountainous terrain, and abundant natural resources make it well-suited for this purpose. The main goal is to identify the therapeutic water resources and assess their potential to attract tourists. The analysis used data from the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use to map the therapeutic water resources across Almaty. While not all districts have such resources, the Alban-Arasan springs with the largest reserves are particularly notable. The Alban-Arasan springs have significant potential for health tourism. They could become a top destination for Kazakhstani and international visitors. Successful development would require supporting infrastructure, quality health services, tourist routes, marketing, and government support. The article urges the government to support health tourism in Almaty by offering benefits and incentives to investors, and creating favorable conditions. Efforts to establish a tourism cluster of industry entities would also contribute to positive outcomes and better tourist satisfaction. The research confirms the significant potential for health tourism in southeastern Kazakhstan, especially at the Alban-Arasan springs. Realizing this potential will need collaboration between the government and private investors to build modern infrastructure and integrated projects to attract tourists and enhance services. The concept of attitude towards objects of immovable cultural heritage, formed more than a century ago, is relevant today, based on the premises that these material objects form an objective value in the perception and understanding of any individual, any society, any civilization. The purpose of the article is to conduct a preliminary analysis of the problems that form the understanding of the value of cultural heritage, preservation and careful treatment of it in the modes of restoration activities and restoration work. Achieving the goal can be the solution of a number of problems regarding the proper state protection of objects of immovable cultural heritage and the necessary assistance from the state, public institutions and international organizations, as well as taking into account the assigned status of the object in the matter of rescue, restoration and gentle scientific restoration. Currently existing directions and developments in a comprehensive assessment of architectural monuments of the past, observation methods, active comparative studies, and statistical measurements are considered as methodological and instrumental approaches to solving emerging problems. The results obtained by the authors included a study of the complex interaction and isolated influence on the category of value of such significant features-factors as evaluation criteria such as cultural and collective memory, historical reputation in their meaning for the self-identification of society and in the development of strategies in the field of preservation of cultural heritage objects and their use in the exploitation of the recreational potential of the destination by the tourism business. Examples from domestic restoration and construction practice and Western European experience, used to minimize the negative consequences of the increasing anthropogenic load on the territory, are discussed. At the end of the material, prospects for further research are indicated and the necessary conclusions are drawn.

This article focuses on the typology of countryside architectonical forms in the region of South-Moravia in southeastern Czechia and on the expression of village identity through architecture in case study villages. Original folk architecture has been altered by new types of constructions built in rural areas since the 1950s, followed by a more recent wave of new architectural forms that have developed since the 1990s. The number of architectural types in case study villages was predominantly calculated using the panoramic sceneries on mapy.cz. The coefficients of countryside identity were allocated to architectural types based on basic folk house features. The value of countryside identity is higher in smaller villages except for suburbanized settlements of the regional capital of Brno. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

OUTDOOR recreation , *NATURE parks , *RECREATION - Abstract
After the 19th century industrial revolution, people were squeezed into big cities as a result of intensified work life and population growth. This congestion has negatively affected individuals mentally and physically. As a result of this negative impact, the interest of individuals in outdoor recreation activities has increased and the interest in national parks and nature parks has increased. Today, these areas are visited by many people for recreational or touristic activities. In this context, recreational activities in these areas are gradually developing, diversifying and occupying an important place in recreational or touristic activities. As a result of this situation, it becomes very important to protect the existing natural areas and to use them in a sustainable manner for the benefit of the society. In this context, our research was conducted to evaluate the sportive recreation potential of Poyrazlar Lake Nature Park in Sakarya. The sportive recreation potential evaluation method developed by Gülez' in 1990 and modeled by Çalık in 2006 was used as a method in the research. Introduction. The development of the sub-regions of the Republic of Crimea is characterized by a difference in the performance indicators of the enterprises of the tourism industry. The paper examines the differences in the efficiency of the activities of tourism enterprises in the Crimean subregions. Resource asymmetry in the region is considered as such reasons. Methodology. As a correlation with the territorial concentration of resources, the return on total capital is used, which characterizes the efficiency of the use of all assets of the enterprise. The study used methods of correlation analysis to establish this relationship, where the factor (cause) indicator is the resource asymmetry of the region. Other methods of statistical research (sampling, data grouping) and general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, systematization) were also used. Results. As a result of the study, one can note a higher efficiency of enterprises in subregions with a greater concentration of potential. Territorial concentration of potential characterizes unequal conditions for the development of enterprises in subregions. As a result, Greater Yalta, Greater Alushta and Feodosia are developing at a faster pace than other sub-regions of the Republic of Crimea. It has been established that subregions with a high level of concentration of natural and historical and cultural potential are characterized by a higher efficiency of tourism enterprises in the subregions. The result of assessing the dependence of the return on total capital and the level of territorial concentration of natural and historical and cultural potential turned out to be 0.73, which indicates a close connection between the indicators, assessed on the Chaddock scale. Conclusions. The results of the study can be used in planning the development of areas of activity and types of recreation in the Crimean territory in accordance with its resource asymmetry. This study is necessary to assess the prospects for the development of the tourism industry in the region as a whole. ДЛЯ ЦИТИРОВАНИЯ: Pavlenko I.G., Bukreev I.A. Aim. Study of a group of biochemical parameters of the hepatopancreas and gills of the Black Sea mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam. and the functional indicator of cardiac system adaptivity of mussels from Sevastopol bays with different levels of recreational and anthropogenic impact.Methods. Mussels were collected from four Sevastopol water areas (Kruglaya Bay, Kazachya Bay, Matyushenko Bay and Cape Khrustalnii) in autumn 2018. The bioindication methods used were based on application of functional (cardiac system adaptability) and biochemical indicators (antioxidant enzymes activity [AEA], aminotransferases, the alkaline phosphatase [AP], and products of the lipid peroxidation [LPO] and protein oxidation [PO]) of mussel tissues. The hydrochemical parameters of the investigated areas were determined.Results. The anthropogenic impact on a complex of biochemical indicators of mussels at the sampling sites was shown. At the same time, low values of mussel heart rate (HR) recovery time (Trec) (less than 60 min.) in all sampling sites demonstrated the efficiency of biochemical changes in mussels and the possible use of all tested bays as recreational areas.Conclusion. Results of the present research allow the characterization of the ecological status of these Sevastopol sea water areas and to make recommendations about their rational use. Matyushenko and Kazachya Bays are most suitable for beach recreation and recreational fishery. Kazachya Bay also has favourable conditions for the development of water sports. Kruglaya Bay and Cape Khrustalnii are less ecologically safe and require a series of actions to improve water quality.

The article analyzes the recreational resources of Kharkiv region. It is noted that its recreational resources due to the territory, geographical position, presence of a combination of natural, anthropogenic, technical, socio-economic complexes should be effectively used for tourism development in order to develop and restore the spiritual and physical forces of a person, to help increase both labor efficiency and the level of satisfaction with life. A detailed analysis of all types of natural recreation resources shows the possibility of development of thematic tourist areas by the districts of Kharkiv region. 70% of the natural reserve fund of Kharkiv region consists of different-profile wildlife preserves: botanical, entomological, hydrological, ornithological, forest, general zoological, hunting – of both local and national significance. It is noted that in the Kharkiv region there is a significant recreational potential, which is not limited by objects that have received the official status of national or regional importance, but still can lead to interest from potential users of tourist services. Analyzing the recreational resources of Kharkiv region leads to the conclusions, that in the region are fully present all types of natural and cultural-historical recreational resources for development of all types of tourism. There are favorable geographical conditions for creation of thematic tourist areas and directions by the districts of Kharkiv region. Registering, elaborating programs for preservation and development by the State institutions of different levels of wildlife preserves, protected nature areas, historical monuments, architecture, monumental art, etc. provide for their existence, but lack of financing inhibits the restoration, along with creation of appropriate infrastructure. Therefore, for the development of tourism in the region it is necessary to attract investments from enterprises and individuals.

Among all the natural resources available in Odesa Region vacationists prefer beaches and associated entertainments. Quality and general ecological condition of the beaches in addition to the potential and actual beach capacity are key factors for tourist flow to Odesa Region and its socio-economic development. In order to substantiate the recreational and tourist development of the territory an economic and logistic evaluation of its resource base should be carried out. This will make it possible to determine an input tourist flow which dictates the volumes of required tourist infrastructure and material and technical facilities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate recreational potential of Odesa Region’s beach zones. To achieve this, all main natural and anthropogenic factors determining the recreational potential of the coastal zone were analyzed. The study is also based on scientific researches in the field of recreational and tourist activities made by well-known experts, on the existing regulatory frameworks and results of the authors' own research works. For the first time, recreational capacity and logistic potential of Odesa Region’s beach zones were estimated. Based on this estimation multiple conclusions about the most promising areas for future development of the recreation sector were made. It was determined that favorable climatic conditions, considerable length of beaches and other natural and recreational resources allow us to speak about good prospects of the Odesa Region’s coastal zone for various forms of recreation including thalassotherapy. In fact, thalassotherapy opportunity (first of all, beach recreation) is a very important factor of attractiveness for vacationists visiting the Odesa Region’s coastal zone. According to our research, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Tatarbunarskyi and Lymanskyi districts are the most promising ones for recreational development. The total capacity of the beaches here even exceeds the districts' own population. Conducted recreational zoning of the Odesa’s Black Sea coast established that, based on the natural recreational factors, out of 9 recreational microdistricts only 3 of them may be classified as favorable, with 5 being relatively favorable and 1 – completely unfavorable. But, from the perspective of sea water quality, some microdistricts (Luzanivskyi and Arkadiyskyi) do not meet sanitary standards during the period of intense precipitation. It was found that there is a need for expansion of beach areas as well as a need for regulation and redistribution of the recreational and tourist flow. In order to increase recreational attractiveness of Odesa Region, regional and city administrations should pay more attention to the ecological conditions of beach areas of the Black Sea coast. The obtained results may be used by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Odesa Regional State Administration, divisions of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine in order to assess the recreational potential of the Odesa Region’s beach areas.

- Abstract
This article reveals the essence of the importance of involving modern youth in recreational activities, aspects of the formation of physical recreation in Ukraine, the concepts, forms, means and methods of physical recreation are characterized; features of use of motor activity within the limits of physical recreation are specified. Socio- economic changes in Ukraine have affected the health of the population. In addition to positive changes, there are negative phenomena in people's lives, in particular a decrease in life expectancy. Every year the number of students enrolled in special medical groups increases. Factors that negatively affect health should include the deterioration of socio-economic indicators, sanitary- epidemiological and environmental situation in our country, psycho-emotional overload, etc. Probably one of the main reasons for the deterioration of the health situation is the lack of financial and material support from the state to the recreational and health sphere, which leads to a certain physical inactivity. Most young people have a low level of physical activity and low interest in participating in recreational activities and fitness programs. The main reasons that prevent young people from engaging in physical activity are: lack of time, lack of interesting forms, financial problems, no friends for joint exercise, no knowledge for independent training, lack of desire, no sportswear, lack of reasoning for exercise. Most young people have severe hypokinesia, despite daily physical activity. Thus, it can be argued that in Ukraine, recreational and health activities have not become widespread and popular. Intensification of work in the direction of recreational and health activities of young people is extremely important, because the health of Ukrainians is getting worse, and the number of people involved in regular exercise and physical activity is getting smaller and smaller every year. Today, successful mastering of education is possible only with a sufficiently high level of health, and therefore taking into account the peculiarities of lifestyle, namely physical activity and a positive attitude to physical activity, is an important element of physical education for young people. The Republic of Mordovia is a multinational region of the Russian Federation. For centuries, Russians, Mordovians (Moksha and Erzya), Tatars, and others coexist peacefully on its territory. This necessitates the development of ethnic tourism, the area of tourism with a pronounced ethnic identity in the Republic. It can be distinguished as internal and external ethnic tourism. For the research of the development of ethnic tourism in Mordovia, the authors employed general research analytical methods (comparative, functional, natural history, etc.) and a survey as a tool for collecting primary sociological information. The survey was conducted in all municipal districts of the Republic in September 2017. The most famous objects of ethnic tourism are the ethnographic Museum complex “Mordovian Courtyard” and the Museum of Mordovian folk culture; they are the most visited sites. The percentage of people who know about the Center for National Culture in Old Terizmorga village and Podlesno-Tavlinskoy Children’s Experimental Art School is quite high. The prospects for the development of ethnic tourism can be assessed as favorable, since there is a high percentage of those who would like to visit other objects of ethnic tourism as well. The conclusion is made about further development of internal and external ethnic tourism in Mordovia.

Urban forests established from natural forests or artificial plantations to support urban life in a positive way are becoming increasingly important. This attracts attention not only from landscape and ecology view-points, but also because local populations need recreation for a healthy life-style. Sustainable development of urban and peri-urban forests should be ensured by a set of scientifically justified measures and by creating a system for the research of natural objects. This requires forest monitoring, and an important part of this geographic and ecological monitoring is the assessment of forests for their recreational potential. Monitoring will also provide the set of properties needed to determine possibilities for recreational use. This article presents the methods used in researching recreational potential and the application of one possibility in practice.

The influence of tourism on the economy of Ternopil region is investigated. Throughout its economic history, tourism decisivly has the reputation of the specific sector dynamically developing in the service industries and is increasingly becoming the prominent one in the world economy in terms of capital turnover, employment, exports of services, and as a source of income for national budgets.Tourist services consumption level is one of the important indicators of life qualityf. The impact of tourism on the economy of Ukraine and the economy of Ternopil region is quite noticeable, since while travelling the tourists consume various goods, use services supporting the pumping up local budgets. It is proved that Ternopil region has favorable geopolitical location, historical and cultural resources, has considerable recreational potential, has developed tourist infrastructure, despite the fact that the region is one of the smallest in Ukraine, with an extremely large number of cultural heritage monuments and nature conservation fund. The basic approaches to the process of analyzing the tourist services market are generalized. At present, the tourist services market has decreased its activity, so advertising is becoming one of the factors that contribute to balance the situation and become the mechanism for tourist flows growth resulting in intensive development of domestic and foreign tourism, as Ukraine has sufficient natural potential for tourism and recreational resources and is able to become a country with developed tourism industry. But the lack of monitoring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns or individual media in many tourism enterprises, decentralized management methods weaken the creativity of advertising and its addressing to the target consumer, resulting in lack of the enterprise planned growth in particular and slow down the development of tourism industry as a whole. Çünkü incelenen alanlar içinde yalnızca Huzurpark’ın yüksek rekreasyon potansiyeline sahip olmasını ve diğer alanlardan daha fazla puan almasını sağlayan unsurlar, “peyzaj değeri” ve “ulaşılabilirlik” olmuştur., It’s aimed in this study to evaluate existing recreational potential of recreation areas in the city center of Usak as a outdoor recreation resource and for this purpose, the “Forest Interior Recreation Potential Evaluation” method developed by Gülez (1990) was implemented. Between these areas the most known and visited ones are chosen. It has been determined that Huzurpark has the highest; Korupark has the lowest recreational potential among the examined areas. The elements that have the greatest weight in the formula forming the Gülez (1990) method are landscape value and accessibility. The determination that these two factors are the most important factors affecting the recreational potential of an area has been confirmed by the results of this study. Because, among the examined areas, only the factors that make Huzurpark has a high recreational potential and get more points than other areas are the “landscape value” and “accessibility”.

- Abstract
It has been noticed that the increasing citizens' interest in active recreation in nature has an influence on the number growth of protected areas' visitors. The aim of the study is to contribute to the improvement of informative tourism conditions in protected areas. In order to reveal advantages and disadvantages of recreational activities' organization in state parks of Lithuania, territories of two suburban regional parks - Neris and Nemunas loops - were selected as an object of this research. To compare recreational potential of selected regional parks, the assessment was made by using spatial analysis based on these criteria: expression of relief, recreational attractiveness of forests (consisting of forests' type and age), features of hydrographic network, development of recreational infrastructure, quantity of recreational services. Then a comparison of investigation data was made. The results of the assessment showed, that recreational potential is not realized at full scale in both regional parks. A visitor questionnaire has revealed valuable information about recreational environment functioning in both regional parks. Results of the research have shown high recreational potential level of Neris and Nemunas loops regional parks, though used very differently. The main reason of this phenomenon is the difference of administration which causes recreational infrastructure functioning and public image of protected areas. Neris regional park can be treated as the example but further actions should be made to realize recreational potential of Nemunas loops regional park more efficiently. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background. Due to the growing interest in leisure time spent in forests, it is important to set the limit of visits to forests to ensure protection of the natural environment. The aim of the study was to specify the permissible level of the negative effect of recreation on the environment of selected forests in the Łosie Forest District. This factor is a determinant of the recreational potential, expressed as a recreation carrying capacity. Material and methods. The study was conducted in 257 forest units, covering a total area of 8,627 ha, i.e. 51% of the forest district area. The recreation carrying potential of the forests was assessed with the recreational valorisation method developed for areas with varied orography. A chi-squared test was applied to examine whether there was a relationship between the recreational usefulness of tree stands and the main assessment criteria: the terrain inclination and the age of the tree stand. The strength of the relation was examined with Cramer's V. Results. The tree stands of very high usefulness for recreation occupy 5% of the area under study. 16% of the tree stands was characterised by high usefulness, 34% - moderate, 34% - low, while 11% of the stands was not useful for recreation. The mean recreation carrying capacity amounts to 1.68 man-hour per 1 ha during a day. The statistical analysis showed a weak relationship between the terrain inclination and the level of recreational usefulness, and a moderate relationship between the age of tree stands and the level of recreational usefulness. Conclusions. The study determined the threshold value of the negative impact of recreation on the forest environment. The permissible rate of visits to the area under study is 1.68 man-hour per 1 ha during a day. If this threshold value is exceeded, mass tourism may pose hazard to the stability of the forest ecosystem. Forest administrators should plan tourist traffic reasonably and control it adequately. The tree stands which were found to be useless or of poor usefulness for recreation (45%) should be excluded from this form of use. Recreational traffic should mostly be directed to older tree stands, classified as level II-IV of recreational usefulness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In recent years, natural areas have become a preferred recreation area for people looking to escape their busy urban lives. The world has become so complicated that people now seek solace in areas of nature. Recreational activities conducted in natural areas, such as Ilgaz Mountain National Park, should be respectful of the environment to ensure balance and no negative environmental impact. This balance should safeguard environmental protection and only be used with the right to establish recreation planning. National parks are protected areas where the most beautiful wonders of nature exist. Thus, urban planning for recreation, and demand for recreation areas, must demonstrate both the potential of recreation resources and the protection of Ilgaz Mountain National Park. Urban open and green spaces have an important function, and in this study, it has been looked at Ilgaz Mountain National Park to examine the current situation. The aim of this study is to ensure the sustainability of natural and cultural resources via an evaluation to reveal the necessary practices and precautions regarding the area’s recreational potential. As a result, Ilgaz Mountain National Park’s recreation potential was found to be 72 %, and thus, it is considered to be an area of high recreation potential. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
