In this article we analyze the role of trust in the construction of social reality, arguing that it constitutes one of its essential components; namely, one that allows the creation, maintenance and collective recognition of institutions as well as their iteration and organization in subsystems.

Aristotle's Topics capturesthe adventure of arguing. It may be distinguished in them morphologic-constitutive rules that stablish the elements of discussion, on one hand, and morphologic-regulative rules that suggest how must they work, on the other hand. This is very different from inferential-constitutive rules as the ones we find in the Prior and Posterior Analytics. Hence, Topics must be read as inferential-regulative rules, that is, as argumentative strategies or practical considerations and not as principles or axioms. The reception of the Topics from the Christian Scholastic is interested in formalizing this treatise as a pre-logic, “technifying” debates, and, therefore, losing the sense of the adventure of arguing. This systematizing lecture began with Theophrastus and continued with Boetius, Abelard and Peter of Spain until it turned what began as an inventary of argumentative strategies into a defined technique. The thesis here defended is that, because of its contextual, open, and inconsistent features, Topics must be read, in part, as an informal logic or as a regulative logic that offers a criterial, gradual and emphatically personal rule usage.

El presente trabajo, realizado como práctica del Módulo Psicología y Ambiente de la Escuela de Psicología de la Universidad de Costa Rica, pretendió analizar el uso que la comunidad universitaria del campus Rodrigo Facio de la Universidad de Costa Rica le da a un bien común, en este caso paraguas. Asimismo, se enfocó en analizar el tipo de regla a la que mejor responde la comunidad universitaria para el uso de bienes comunes. Para esto, se realizó una práctica, donde durante tres semanas se tuvo el interés de medir el efecto de distintos tipos de reglas: muy específicas, intermedias, y difusas, para la utilización de los paraguas. En total, se colocaron 15 paraguas (5 nuevos por semana). Al finalizar, se obtuvo la totalidad del 40% de los paraguas. Hardin (1968), menciona que las personas se encuentran predispuestas a esperar qué pasará, y hay quienes abusan para sacarle la máxima utilidad individual al bien, refiriéndose a la tragedia de los comunes, sin embargo, los bienes comunes no deben ser una tragedia, deben servir como recursos sostenibles que favorezcan alianzas comunitarias. Este proyecto se considera ser una excelente iniciativa para futuros proyectos, tanto dentro como fuera del campus universitario.
