The function of preparing the internal environment for kindergartens is to provide a stable, organized, and rich internal space that encourages learning, kindergartens must achieve the needs of childhood. All its parts must be planned so that the child can learn and discover his abilities and tendencies. At the age of 4-6 years, the child is full of energy and curious; He has a strong desire to test his environment and explore his surroundings with no regard for safety.When choosing interior design materials and components for kindergartens, it is essential to pay attention to the physical integrity and safety of the child in this stage. Which requires the provision of materials characterized by durability and reliability to suit the activities carried out, and in a manner that does not conflict with the achievement of other economic and environmental aspects.The research problem was that all the materials and components of the interior design deteriorate over time, which requires checks and detection of defects to treatment or maintenance, a process that may be difficult and expensive. The maintenance process consumes a lot of time, effort, money, resources, and it may need to stop the activities that are performed in the place until it is completed. Also, delaying or neglecting the place maintenance negatively affects the child physically and morally.scientists began to search for materials that can sense the defect, work to stop it and then start the process of self-healing or repairing itself as quickly as possible, which is called self-healing materials.This research aims to raise the efficiency of kindergartens by using self- healing materials to achieve educational, aesthetic, health, environmental, and economic aspects.The research follows the descriptive and analytical approach, as it presents some of the reasons for the deterioration of materials in kindergartens, along with analyzing the damages resulting from the deterioration of materials, then the concept of self-healing materials, their mechanisms, some possible examples for use self-healing materials instead of traditional materials and analyze the benefit of their use in kindergartens.

Abstract: Inflatable/deployable structures are under consideration as habitats for future Lunar surface science operations. The use of non-traditional structural materials combined with the need to maintain a safe working environment for extended periods in a harsh environment has led to the consideration of an integrated structural health management system for future habitats, to ensure their integrity. This article describes recent efforts to develop prototype sensing technologies and new self-healing materials that address the unique requirements of habitats comprised mainly of soft goods. A new approach to detecting impact damage is discussed, using addressable flexible capacitive sensing elements and thin film electronics in a matrixed array. Also, the use of passive wireless sensor tags for distributed sensing is discussed, wherein the need for on-board power through batteries or hardwired interconnects is eliminated. Finally, the development of a novel, microencapuslated self-healing elastomer with applications for inflatable/deployable habitats is reviewed. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The center of excellence (COE) titled ‘The Creation of Nature-Guided Materials Processing’ has been established in Nagoya University as the 21st Century COE Program supported by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. In the Nature COE, various activities on the education and research are being performed through learning the laws of nature, namely, methods of attaining ‘appearance of the maximum function under the minimum substance and energy consumption’, which the nature and living organisms have acquired through their evolution in long period. Together with such educational programs for PhD students as research incentive, oversea training, and external evaluation programs, an ‘Open-Cluster Program’ was originated for promoting researches proposed by research groups consisting of young researchers in and out of the university and also for fostering them.The researches are being advanced on materials used for living bodies, mimicking structures which nature or living bodies are forming, and producing materials by mimicking processes to form the structures observed in the nature or the living bodies. In this COE, these researches are conducted by four groups to extend the processes observed in the natural world to a new type of processing, that is, thoroughly examined and rationalized by plunging a scalpel of engineering and to establish a new academic field of materials science and engineering. Repair of physically separated thermoplastic polymers containing γ-Fe2 O3 nanoparticles without sacrificing their mechanical properties is achieved by applying an oscillating magnetic field.
