2. Knee pain in young sports players aged 6–15 years: a cross-sectional study in Japan

Abstract Background Knee is the most commonly injured part of the body in young athletes. Knee pain in several studies have been seen to be more prevalent in active adolescents compared to inactive, although common in both groups. Nevertheless, few studies with large sample size have been published reporting the difference of the prevalence of knee pain for each sport among young sports players. This study investigated the point prevalence of knee pain among young sports players aged 6–15 years old according to age, sex, and sports discipline. Furthermore, this study investigated the association between knee pain and sports discipline among young sports players. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted using a self-reported questionnaire on young sports players aged 6–15 years from the Miyagi Amateur Sports Association. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to examine the association between knee pain and sports discipline and were adjusted for age, sex, body mass index (BMI), training days per week, and training hours per weekday and weekend. Results A total of 7234 young sports players were included. The point prevalence of knee pain was 10.9%. Females (13.3%) had more knee pain than males (9.8%). Young, 13-year-old sports players had the highest prevalence of knee pain (19.1%). The multivariable analysis showed that the highest odds ratio [95% confidence interval] was observed for handball players (2.42 [1.01–5.81]). In addition, hand ball, mini-basketball (odds ratio 1.85; 95% CI 1.38–2.47), and basketball (odds ratio 1.66; 95% CI 1.23–2.26) were significantly associated with knee pain, compared with football. The lowest odds ratio was observed for swimming (0.34 [0.05–2.54]), followed by karate (odds ratio 0.38; 95% CI 0.16–0.89) and baseball (odds ratio 0.47; 95% CI 0.35–0.64). Conclusion The prevalence of knee pain among young athletes differed according to age, sex, and sports discipline. Their parents and clinicians should recognize this information to manage knee pain among young sports players.

Facing the future, pursuing excellence, and accelerating the construction of first-class sports disciplines and universities are the common vision of sports universities and colleges to promote the high-quality development of sports higher education in China. To achieve this common vision, it is necessary to scientifically grasp the mission direction, key strategies, and action paths for the high-quality development of China's sports higher education based on practical experience and combined with academic theory. It is proposed that we should have a deeply understanding of the "triple relationship" of the development of sports higher education in the broad process of China's economic and social development, establish a high-quality development strategy that is open to the modernization, the future forefront, the social values and the world, and form action paths such as interdisciplinary, integration, innovation, placing sport at the service of the harmonious development of humankind, organized scientific research, and open development patterns, for exploring a new situation of high-quality development in China's sports higher education. 6. Research Progress and Enlightenment of Knowledge Flow in Sports Discipline from Perspective of Interdisciplinary.

- Abstract
Through literature, comparative analysis and other research methods, this paper summarized the relevant researches on the knowledge flow of the sports discipline at home and abroad in the recent years from the perspective of interdisciplinary research. The results showed that researches abroad focused on the use of literature measurement and social network analysis to explore the knowledge flow network, knowledge integration and relationship change characteristics between sports discipline and other disciplines, and advocated the application of sports discipline knowledge flow in the sports practice. The researches at on the knowledge flow of sports discipline in China had transited from sports knowledge to sports knowledge flow, various research methods were used to study and judge the knowledge types of sports discipline from the perspective of knowledge input and knowledge output, and to identify the relationship between sports discipline and other disciplines based on the amount of knowledge flow. In the future, researches on the knowledge flow of sports disciplines should focus on the dynamic changes and knowledge integration of target disciplines, attach importance to the utilization and organization of knowledge flow content and core knowledge, strengthen the exploration of theoretical issues such as knowledge flow mechanisms and systems, clarify the relationship between knowledge flow and knowledge regeneration, explore their implementation paths, expand the exploration of knowledge introduction to disciplines abroad and to contribute to the construction of world-class discipline of sports. 7. The Innovative Development of Digital Sport in Constructing the "Three Systems" of Sports Discipline with Chinese Characteristics.

- Abstract
Digital sport, as a new model of sports development in the digital era, plays an important role in the construction and innovation of the "Three Systems" of sports discipline with Chinese characteristics. This paper, using the methods of literature research, comparative analysis and logical reasoning, probes into the practical significance, theoretical value and practical approach of digital sport in constructing the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of sports discipline with Chinese characteristics. The research holds that digital sport has expanded the research domain of sports humanities and sociology, activated the vitality of sports education and training research, enhanced the necessity of traditional sports science research in the contemporary times, and promoted the application level of sports human science research, and is a time proposition in perfecting the discipline system of sports discipline with Chinese characteristics ; digital sport innovates sports knowledge system, sports academic theory system and sports research method system, and is the key support to the construction of sports discipline with Chinese characteristics; digital sport has enriched and expressed the ideological discourse, platform discourse and value discourse of sports discipline, and is an important field to build the discourse system of sports discipline with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, we should make continuous and accurate efforts in defining the position of digital sport discipline, promoting the academic innovation of digital sport and seizing the highland of digital sport discourse, so as to transform China's comparative advantage in the global digital competition into the digital sport governance efficiency, and make the due contribution to the construction of the "Three Systems" of sports discipline with Chinese characteristics. 13. Discipline (and reversibility) in the training space of school football: a case study

Sports initiation takes place at a crossroads of sports, pedagogical and psychological interests. The monitoring of school sports requires the construction of a training discipline that underlines the promoted values in which the school-age child is formed. This study is interested in understanding the coordinates in which discipline is established in football, because it is one of the most important school sports, and the implications it has for the young athlete. A participant observation research design is used, in which 10 under 8 football teams participate during two school courses. Five qualitative categories emerge on the results: respect for an authority, commitment to an activity, preparatory routines, fissure in peer learning and behavior modeling. In the categories there are divergences between the coercive leadership of some coaches and the learning that schoolchildren build in their horizontal interaction. Families are an indispensable figure for the consolidation of the preparatory routines of the activity. The study concludes with the invitation to a reflection that converges in the educational interests of sports activity, whose purpose is to enhance its formative value and establish internal coherence., La iniciación deportiva se desarrolla en una encrucijada de intereses deportivos, pedagógicos y psicológicos. La monitorización del deporte escolar requiere la construcción de una disciplina formativa que subraya los valores promovidos en los que se forma el escolar. Este estudio tiene por interés describir las coordenadas en las que se establece la disciplina en el fútbol, en tanto que uno de los deportes escolares por excelencia, y las implicaciones que tiene para el joven deportista. Se utiliza un diseño de investigación observacional participante, en el que participan 10 equipos de fútbol prebenjamín durante dos cursos escolares. Sobre los resultados emergen cinco categorías cualitativas: respeto a una autoridad, compromiso con una actividad, rutinas preparatorias, fisura en el aprendizaje por pares y modelado de conducta. En ellas se observan divergencias entre el sentido coercitivo del ejercicio del liderazgo de algunos entrenadores y el aprendizaje que los escolares construyen en su interacción. Las familias consolidan las rutinas preparatorias de la actividad. El estudio concluye con la reflexión que confluye intereses formativos de la actividad deportiva, su valor formativo y coherencia interna., A iniciação esportiva ocorre em uma encruzilhada de interesses esportivos, pedagógicos e psicológicos. O acompanhamento do desporto escolar requer a construção de uma disciplina de formação que reforce os valores promovidos nos quais a escola é formada. O interesse deste estudo é descrever as coordenadas em que a disciplina se estabelece no futebol, como um dos esportes escolares por excelência, e as implicações que isso tem para o jovem atleta. Um projeto de pesquisa observacional participante é usado, no qual 10 times de futebol juniores participam durante dois anos letivos. Cinco categorias qualitativas emergem dos resultados: respeito por uma autoridade, compromisso com uma atividade, rotinas preparatórias, lacuna na aprendizagem entre pares e modelagem de comportamento. Neles, observam-se divergências entre o sentido coercitivo do exercício da liderança de alguns treinadores e o aprendizado que os alunos constroem em sua interação. As famílias consolidam as rotinas preparatórias da atividade. O estudo conclui com a reflexão que converge os interesses educacionais da atividade esportiva, seu valor educativo e coerência interna.

Останнім часом карате, як спортивна дисципліна, набуває все більшу популярність. На Олімпійських іграх 2020 українські спортсмени здобули 2 медалі – срібну і бронзову. Виникнення карате-до пов’язують з монастирем Шаолінь і відносять до ІІ ст. н.е. Звідти цей вид єдиноборств потрапив на острів Окінава, Японія, де почав швидко розвиватися під назвою "Рука Окінави". В 30-х роках ХХ ст. цей вид отримав назву карате-до. Засновником сучасного карате-до вважається Гічін Фунакоші (1869–1957 р.р.). Сучасне карате об’єднує прийоми єдиноборств, фізичне та духовне самовдосконалення і спорт. У різних країнах Європи сформувалися власні стилі, що додатково включали в себе значну частину національних одноборств з їх специфічними традиціями і розумінням. У наш час, серед майстрів східних єдиноборств сформувався подвійний підхід до карате, як виду спорту. Перший підхід визначає карате, як спортивну діяльність, що потребує розвитку силових і інших рухових якостей [1] . Другий підхід – як засіб гармонійного всебічного розвитку людини, що представляє єдину систему фізичних вправ і філософських структур. Складність карате-до полягає у великій різноманітності прийомів і способів ведення поєдинків, незвичності та неординарності вправ, що використовуються, в зв’язку з чим ускладняється систематизація специфічного складу тренувальних та змагальних вправ каратистів [2]. У цьому треба чітко розуміти, що, якщо теоретична, психологічна, фізична, і технічна підготовка спортсмена – його перевага, то вміле використання цих навичок і вмінь – тактична майстерність, яка, в свою чергу, вимагає чіткого виконання раніше розроблених тактичних схем на змагання чи поєдинок. Мета дослідження – висвітлити основні аспекти формування тактичної майстерності, як складової частини базової підготовки спортсмена-каратиста.

19. Chinese Tactics of World Class Sports Discipline Construction.

Building a world class sports discipline is the content and important support for the construction of a great power of higher education. The purpose of this study is to promote the development of sports discipline through grasping the time opportunity of construction of a great power of higher education. By the methods of literature review and case analysis, this study analyzes the subjects of ARWU/QS World University Ranking and the subjects of international well-known sports university, explores the construction of world class sports discipline with the clue of "what is the world class sports discipline, what to build and how to build". The results show that the world class sports discipline is a subject with the first class sports research and the first class sports talents. The construction of world class sports discipline mainly includes good discipline direction, appropriate discipline organization, outstanding student source and suitable discipline system. In order to build a world-class sports discipline in our country, we should take the formation of the national top academic team as the starting point, upgrade and refine discipline, strengthen the top leadership and grass-roots practice of sports discipline direction, implement the integrated construction of subject, specialty and curriculum to strengthen academic personnel training, focus on self-organizing ability construction of the grass-roots sports academic organization in the university to enhance academic output capacity of academic organizations, and take "four studies" as the main theme to strengthen the system innovation of building the world class sports discipline. O acompanhamento do desporto escolar requer a construção de uma disciplina de formação que reforce os valores promovidos nos quais a escola é formada. O interesse deste estudo é descrever as coordenadas em que a disciplina se estabelece no futebol, como um dos esportes escolares por excelência, e as implicações que isso tem para o jovem atleta. Um projeto de pesquisa observacional participante é usado, no qual 10 times de futebol juniores participam durante dois anos letivos. Cinco categorias qualitativas emergem dos resultados: respeito por uma autoridade, compromisso com uma atividade, rotinas preparatórias, lacuna na aprendizagem entre pares e modelagem de comportamento. Neles, observam-se divergências entre o sentido coercitivo do exercício da liderança de alguns treinadores e o aprendizado que os alunos constroem em sua interação. As famílias consolidam as rotinas preparatórias da atividade. O estudo conclui com a reflexão que converge os interesses educacionais da atividade esportiva, seu valor educativo e coerência interna., La iniciación deportiva se desarrolla en una encrucijada de intereses deportivos, pedagógicos y psicológicos. La monitorización del deporte escolar requiere la construcción de una disciplina formativa que subraya los valores promovidos en los que se forma el escolar. Este estudio tiene por interés describir las coordenadas en las que se establece la disciplina en el fútbol, en tanto que uno de los deportes escolares por excelencia, y las implicaciones que tiene para el joven deportista. Se utiliza un diseño de investigación observacional participante, en el que participan 10 equipos de fútbol prebenjamín durante dos cursos escolares. Sobre los resultados emergen cinco categorías cualitativas: respeto a una autoridad, compromiso con una actividad, rutinas preparatorias, fisura en el aprendizaje por pares y modelado de conducta. En ellas se observan divergencias entre el sentido coercitivo del ejercicio del liderazgo de algunos entrenadores y el aprendizaje que los escolares construyen en su interacción. Las familias consolidan las rutinas preparatorias de la actividad. El estudio concluye con la reflexión que confluye intereses formativos de la actividad deportiva, su valor formativo y coherencia interna.

Исследовать морфофункциональные характеристики спортсменов-подводников, специализирующихся в плавании на стайерских, спринтерских и подводных дисциплинах. Материалы и методы. В исследовании принимали участие спортсмены-подводники в возрасте от 18 до 25 лет (15 юношей и 15 девушек). Каждый спортсмен входит в состав сборной команды Красноярского края и имеет спортивное звание не ниже мастера спорта России. В работе использованы следующие методы: метод оценки антропометрических показателей, метод оценки морфофункциональных показателей, метод математической статистики. Результаты. Спортсмены-подводники, специализирующиеся в стайерских дисциплинах, подходят под второй морфофункциональный тип физического развития (МФТФР) (по О.Н. Московченко). Этим спортсменам присуще атлетическое телосложение, рост выше среднего и небольшой вес. Это способствует более легкому преодолению поверхности водной среды. Спортсменов-подводников, специализирующихся в спринтерских и подводных дисциплинах, относят к третьему МФТФР. Пловцы имеют высокие показатели длины и массы тела, это позволяет им выполнять работу скоростно-силовой направленности на высоком уровне. Заключение. Данные, полученные в ходе исследования, могут служить действенным педагогическим инструментарием в подготовке пловцов-подводников. Взаимосвязь спортивной специализации и морфофункциональных характеристик служит научной основой при организации тренировочного процесса. Динамика изменений морфофункциональных параметров в зависимости от специализации обеспечивает возможность обоснования выбора подводной дисциплины, что позволяет прогнозировать высокий результат спортсмена и индивидуализировать тренировочный процесс. Aim. The paper aims to identify the morphological and functional characteristics of shortdistance, long-distance, and underwater swimmers. Materials and methods. The study involved underwater swimmers aged from 18 to 25 years (15 males and 15 females). Each athlete is a member of the national team of the Krasnoyarsk Krai and has a sports rank of not less than master of sports. The following methods were used for the study: anthropometric measurements, assessment of morphological and functional indicators, mathematical statistics. Results. Longdistance underwater swimmers corresponded to the second type of physical development in terms of their morphological and functional characteristics (by O. Moskovchenko). These athletes are characterized by an athletic build, above average height and light weight, which allow them to move with less efforts. Short-distance underwater swimmers belonged to the third type of physical development. They have high values of body length and weight, which improve their speedstrength performance. Conclusion. The data obtained can be used as an effective pedagogical tool in underwater swimming. The relationship between swimming distance and morphological and functional characteristics serves as a scientific foundation for training. The dynamics of morphofunctional indicators depending on swimming distance allows to justify the choice of sports discipline, to predict athletic performance and to improve the training process in general.

Oral health status may affect physical and sports performance. The purpose of this study was to assess the oral health status and oral health habits of elite athletes according to the performed sports type. A sample of 186 elite athletes divided into individual sports (n = 74; 53 men and 21 women; 24.9 ± 9.3 years) and team sports (n = 112; 97 men and 15 women; 24.5 ± 4.8 years) participated in the study. The decayed, missing, and filled teeth index (DMFT), the oral health impact profile (OHIP), and the diet assessment of caries risk (DACR) were evaluated to assess their oral health status. Athletes in individual modalities had a lower number in total teeth, healthy teeth, and restoration index (p < 0.05). Furthermore, this group showed a greater number of missing (p < 0.001) and decayed teeth (p < 0.05) and a greater DMFT index (p < 0.001). A relationship between sports modality and prevalence of malocclusions (p < 0.01), periodontal plaque (p < 0.05), and the habit of consuming energy drinks (p < 0.05) was also highlighted. Elite athletes who compete in individual sports presented a worse oral situation.

В настоящее время спортивные единоборства приобрели широкую популяр-ность в мире, причем как и в современной спортивной практике характерной особенностьюдля современных единоборств является быстрое освоение женщинами тех спортивных дис-циплин, которые еще до недавнего времени считались исключительно мужскими (Л. Серова (2019)).Одним из видов единоборств, где наметились поступательные тенденции развития жен-ского направления является рукопашный бой. На сегодняшний день наблюдается резкийвсплеск увеличения количества юных спортсменок в организациях осуществляющих подго-товку по данному виду спорта.По мнению специалистов, подготовка спортсменов в рукопашном бое должна осуществ-ляться с учетом специфических особенностей вида спорта (комплексного применения техни-ческого арсенала ударной и борцовской техник), что в свою очередь предполагает использо-вание частных (эксклюзивных) методик подготовки спортсменов на всех этапах тренировки(С. В Понкратов (2015)).Однако, как показывает практика, в большинстве своем на начальном этапе подготов-ки девочек в рукопашном бое осуществляется перенос существующих методик трениров-ки спортсменов мужского пола, либо используются методики смежных видов единоборств.Проведенный анализ является частью комплексного исследования по научно теорети-ческому обоснованию многолетней спортивной тренировки спортсменок в рукопашномбое и направлен на изучение содержания федеральных стандартов спортивной подготовкикак нормативно-правового акта регламентирующего ее организацию.Сравнительный анализ требований федеральных стандартов спортивной подготовкипо виду спорта рукопашный бой с единоборствами схожими по учебно-тренировочной и со-ревновательной деятельности, а так же результаты опроса специалистов на предмет их акту-альности и эффективности позволили выявить специфические особенности этапа начальнойподготовки девушек и на этой основе сформулировать предположения по корректировки не-которых положений.Данные полученные по результатам исследования позволят в дальнейшей нашей рабо-те выставить максимально точные указатели к подготовке юных спортсменок специализи-рующихся в виде спорта «рукопашный бой» и послужат ориентиром при построение моде-ли их спортивной тренировки., At present, martial arts have gained wide popularity in the World, and as in modernsports practice, a characteristic feature of modern martial arts is the rapid development by womenof those sports disciplines that until recently were considered exclusively male (L. Today there is a sharp surge in the increase in thenumber of young athletes in organizations providing training in this sport.According to experts, the training of athletes in hand-to-hand combat should be carried out takinginto account the specific features of the sport (the integrated use of the technical arsenal of shockand wrestling techniques), which in turn involves the use of private (exclusive) training techniquesfor athletes at all stages of training (S. A. Astakhov (2002), I. A. Bushin (2005), A. S. Baraboshkin(2005), A. V. Glazistov (2008), M. A. Fakeev (2011), I. I. Sakharevich (2012), Kh. K. Alzhanov (2015),A. V. Ponkratov (2015)).However, as practice shows, for the most part at the initial stage of training girls in hand-to-handcombat, existing methods of training male athletes are transferred, or methods of related martial artsare used.The analysis is part of a comprehensive study on the scientific and theoretical justification of thelong-term sports training of athletes in hand-to-hand combat and is aimed at studying the contentof federal standards for sports training as a legal act regulating its organization.A comparative analysis of the requirements of the federal standards of sports training in the sportof hand-to-hand combat with martial arts similar in educational and competitive activities, as well asthe results of a survey of specialists regarding their relevance and effectiveness, allowed us to identifyspecific features of the stage of initial training of girls and on this basis to formulate assumptions onadjustments to certain provisions.The data obtained from the results of the study will allow us to set the most accurate indicatorsfor the preparation of young athletes specializing in the sport of “hand-to-hand combat” in our futurework and serve as a guide when building a model of their sports training.

Despite the fact that hand-to-hand combat is a fairly young sport, today it is officially practiced (according to Rosstat) in Russia by about 200 thousand people (unofficially more than 600 thousand) in more than seventy regions. This sport is also developing intensively in the international arena, in 40 countries of the world training of high-class athletes and a sports reserve is carried out, world, European and Asian championships are held among men and women, juniors and juniors, boys and girls. Practice shows that today in the preparation of hand-to-hand combat athletes, the experience of training athletes in “complex” martial arts is mainly used, which in turn is based on the general principles and laws of sports training (boxing, kick-boxing, sambo, judo, freestyle and Greek – Roman wrestling). According to experts, the training of hand-to-hand combat athletes should be carried out taking into account the specific features of this sport, which involves the search for private (exclusive) techniques through their scientific and theoretical justification. The analysis of scientific publications on the problems of training hand-to-hand athletes has shown that there is a theoretical basis for a scientific approach to training athletes of both a high class and a sports reserve, but there are a number of issues that require immediate scientific and theoretical justification. In particular, the technology of constructing the training of hand-to-hand combat athletes at various stages of long-term improvement has not been fully studied; gender features have not been studied, (there is no scientific activity in the field of training female athletes); single works consecrate biomedical aspects of training athletes of various qualifications, age and gender. This analytical review concerns research only in the field of hand-to-hand combat (OFBM), is part of a general analysis aimed at identifying current trends and priority areas of scientific research in the subject area, which, in our opinion, should be taken into account when forming the subject of scientific research in the sports discipline "Hand-to-hand fighting" the fight"., Несмотря на то, что рукопашный бой достаточно молодой вид спорта, в настоящее время в России официально им занимаются примерно 200 тысяч человек согласно данным Росстата, а неофициально – более 600 тысяч спортсменов почти во всех регионах страны. Этот вид спорта интенсивно развивается и на международной арене. В 40 государствах мира осуществляется подготовка спортсменов высокого класса и спортивного резерва, проводятся чемпионаты мира, Европы, Азии среди мужчин и женщин, юношей и девушек. Практика показывает, что на сегодняшний день при подготовке спортсменов рукопашного боя используется преимущественно опыт подготовки спортсменов в «комплексных» единоборствах, которые в свою очередь базируются на общих принципах и закономерностях спортивной тренировки в боксе, кик-боксинге, самбо, дзюдо, вольной и греко-римской борьбе. По мнению специалистов, подготовка спортсменов рукопашного боя должна осуществляться с учетом специфических особенностей данного вида спорта, что предполагает поиск частных (эксклюзивных) методик с помощью их научно-теоретического обоснования. Анализ научных публикаций по проблемам подготовки спортсменов рукопашного боя показал, что существует теоретическая база, позволяющая с научной точки подойти к подготовке как спортсменов высокого класса, так и спортивного резерва, однако есть ряд вопросов, требующих незамедлительного научно-теоретического обоснования. В частности, не до конца изучена технология построения подготовки спортсменов рукопашного боя на различных этапах многолетнего совершенствования; не исследованы гендерные особенности; единичные работы освящают медико-биологические аспекты подготовки спортсменов различной квалификации, возраста и пола. Данный аналитический обзор касается исследований только в сфере рукопашного боя (Общероссийская федерация рукопашного боя), является частью общего анализа, направленного на определение современных тенденций и приоритетных направлений научных исследований в предметной области, что должно учитываться при формировании тематики научно-исследовательских работ по спортивной дисциплине «Рукопашный бой».

El diseño es de tipo bibliográfico. Se conoce que los niños y jóvenes realizan actividad física en muchos casos porque el maestro obliga a la ejecución de un solo tipo de ejercicio o algún juego que no despierta mayor interés, sin divertirse ni relajarse y peor aún sentirse parte del grupo o preocuparse por su salud. Se debe tener en cuenta que la motivación es fundamental dentro de los espacios académicos, la utilización de estrategias favorables pueden generar cambios en la conducta del estudiantado, de lo contrario el tratamiento de esta disciplina deportiva será solo por cumplir con el pensum y el horario establecido, como se da en la mayoría de centros educativos, que en muchos casos no trabaja un profesional de la rama sino docentes que no tienen la formación científica y que únicamente improvisan, lo que genera en el estudiantado la apatía y el desinterés por la asignatura.

- Abstract
The article presents a study on the classification of sports based on macro, medium, and micro perspectives. The authors relate that scientific, standards and complete disciplinary system of sports science are not good for the development and flexibility of sports discipline as well as in sports talents' cultivation. It also notes the parameters of the study that uses the different levels of perspectives to analyze the development of sports disciplinary system.

Prva i jedina značajna diskriminativna funkcija sportova u prostoru konativnih obilježja, značajna na razini pogreške tipa I od 0.05 bila je definirana disregulacijom organskih funkcija i nešto povišenim nivoom aktiviteta na jednom polu, te poremećajima reakcije obrane i homeostatičkom disregulacjom na drugom polu. Na konverzivnom polu ove diskriminativne funkcije najveće prosječne vrijednosti postigli su strijelci, odbojkaši i rukometaši, a na anksiozno-disocijativnom polu biciklisti, stolnotenisači i judaši. većina ostaih kategorija ispitanika smjestila se oko ishodišta diskriminativne varijable, a naročito kategorija nesportaša, nogometaši i košarkaši. Predložena su tri alternativna objašnjenja ovakve konfiguracije sportaša različitih sportskih disciplina na diskrimnativnoj varijabli., The sample for this study involved 761 healthy male subjects aged 19 to 27, objectively literate and possessing a good knowledge of either Croato-Serbian to Serbo-Croatian. Among the subjects there was a certain proportion of those that do not engage in sports and those who go in for the sports which 0.9% Yugoslavs of his age and sex engage in. The sample was tested by means of six instruments for the assessment of basic conative dimensions. The first and only significant discriminative function of the sports in the space of conative characteristics, significant on the level of error of type I (0.05), was defined by disregulation of organic functions and somewhat higher activity level on one pole, as well as by disorders in defensive reactions and homeostatic disregulation on the other pole. On the conversive pole of this disciminative functions, the greatest average values were achieved by the shooters, volleyballers handballers, whereas on the anxiety-dissociative pole were the bicyclists, judoists and table tennis players. Most of the other categories of subjects were located around the origin of the discirminative variable, particularly the non-sportists, footballers and basketballers. Three alternative interpretations are proposed for this configuration of sportists from different sports disciplines on the discriminative variable: - the assumption concerning the effect of the level of stability in physical functioning on the type of sport, - the assumption concerning the differential effect of individual conative systems on various sports disciplines, and of different sports disciplines on the discriminative function. However, since the canonic correlation between the conative dimensions and the type of sport was very low (0.236), it is generally possible to conclude that the differential effect of the structure of conative dimensions on the processes of orientation and selection of the sport studied, was rather weak. Since it is not very likely that the personality structure is irrelevant in selecting a sport, this result also signifies that in the selection of a sport our people do not respect the principle of congruency between the structure of conative characteristics and the features of sports activities, harming thus the sport as well as the sportists.
