The digital era is transforming the way we preserve, publish and research our cultural heritage: archives and libraries are being reorganized, heritage collections are being resurrected in new forms. This volume presents the output of the "Proyecto Humboldt Digital" (Havana/Berlin) and the results of a 2022 conference which brought together librarians, archivists, academics and heritage institutions from the Cuban and Ibero-American context.

Las humanidades digitales han cambiado la forma de investigar la literatura en lengua española, pero su impacto no ha llegado a la enseñanza. En este libro se aborda, mediante un recorrido sistemático y detallado, con ejemplos y ejercicios prácticos, diferentes metodologías digitales que nos llevan desde la búsqueda de textos en lengua española en repositorios, su almacenaje, su preparación para el análisis y su análisis con diferentes técnicas. Se busca facilitar la integración de las metodologías digitales en las aulas universitarias y su posterior aplicación en el estudio de la literatura escrita en lengua española. El fin último es la revisión de cánones e historias de la literatura estancadas y que nuevas generaciones de investigadores e investigadoras se asomen a otra forma de concebir las disciplinas, propongan nuevas aperturas del canon, pongan a disposición del público general obras olvidadas y las integren en sus estudios cuantitativos aprovechando los trabajos de digitalización previos y emprendiendo otros nuevos para ampliar los límites de la investigación literaria.

In Photography After Capitalism, Ben Burbridge makes the case for a radically expanded conception of photography, encompassing the types of labor too often obscured by black-boxed technologies, slick platform interfaces, and the compulsion to display lives to others. His lively and polemical analysis of today's vernacular photographic cultures shines new light on the hidden work of smartphone assembly teams, digital content moderators, Street View car drivers, Google “Scan-Ops,” low-paid gallery interns, homeless participant photographers, and the photo-sharing masses. Bringing together cultural criticism, social history, and political philosophy, Burbridge examines how representations of our photographic lives—in advertising, journalism, scholarship and, particularly, contemporary art—shape a sense of what photography is and the social relations that comprise it. More precisely, he focuses on how different critical and creative strategies—from the appropriation of social media imagery to performative traversals of the network, from documentaries about secretive manual labor to science fiction fantasies of future sabotage—affect our understanding of photography's interactions with political and economic systems.

The journal "Mitteilungen aus dem Brenner-Archiv" has been published regularly since the early 1980s (No. 1/1982). It provides information on the activities of the research institute Brenner-Archiv: on new estates, research projects and on current publications. In addition, scolarly contributions from international authors are included, whose research areas range from literary studies to philosophy and (cultural) history. The papers mainly refer to topics related to the "Brenner", the "Brenner"-circle or the more than 300 estates of the institute (especially from "Brenner" employees and Tyrolean authors of the 19th and 20th Century).

The book identifies the characteristics of comparative method in the social sciences and its applications in library and information science, analyzing aims, methodological problems, phases and approaches of comparative librarianship. It is a disciplinary field, still little explored in the Italian context, which aims to examine structures, services, practices and functions of libraries to highlight aspects and peculiarities in a defined context, relating different realities, analyzing causes and effects of emerged specificities and evaluating factors that influence their development. The reflection is enriched by a critical analysis of Italian and foreign comparative researches and by the proposal of a work outline to approach comparative librarianship.

The Royal Institute of Signore Montalve alla Quiete was born between 1885 and 1886, by the union of the two congregations founded by the venerable Eleonora Ramirez de Montalvo: the Montalve di Ripoli and the Montalve alla Quiete. From them inherits the principles and the educational action carried out for over two centuries, bringing them to the threshold of the new millennium. In this analytical inventory are described the papers produced by the new Institute. The core relating to female education is only one of the subjects that this archive can offer: architectural and social transformations, the two world wars, customs and traditions of population are just some examples of the researchs offered and the Tuscan historical frame that the cards draw in a well-defined way.

Eleonora Ramirez de Montalvo is one of the most important historical figures of woman’s assistance and education during the seventeenth century. She is the founder of two lay congregations: the Minime Ancille of the Divine Incarnation (1647) and the Minime Ancille of the Holy Trinity (1650). This volume lists and describes in an analytical way the papers produced and preserved by the second of these, also known Montalve alla Quiete, which for over two centuries carried out an intense activity and exerted a considerable influence in Tuscany. The study of this archive provides a unique range of information both on the economic and political events, and on the relationships maintained by the Montalve with society growing its prestige and heritage. It also offers the opportunity to undertake countless historical research on facts that concern Florentine territory and the rest of Tuscany.

During the past 50 years, theological libraries have confronted secularisation and religious pluralism, along with revolutionary technological developments that brought not only significant challenges but also unexpected opportunities to adopt new instruments for the transfer of knowledge through the automation and computerisation of libraries. This book shows how European theological libraries tackled these challenges; how they survived by redefining their task, by participating in the renewal of scholarly librarianship, and by networking internationally. Since 1972, BETH, the Association of European Theological Libraries, has stimulated this process by enabling contacts among a growing number of national library associations all over Europe.

Das vorliegende reich illustrierte Inventar erfasst die im Landeshauptarchiv überlieferten Akten, Karten, Baubeschreibungen, Pläne und Abbildungen zu Gutshäusern, ihren Wirtschaftsgebäuden und den ausgedehnten Garten- und Parkanlagen. Unter den 5.000 Einträgen zu über 800 brandenburgischen Gütern finden sich die bekannten Hohenzollernschlösser in Potsdam und Oranienburg ebenso wie die Herrensitze in Boitzenburg, Neuhardenberg, Wiepersdorf, Bad Muskau oder Branitz.
