Abstract This study aimed to assess the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Quiet Quitting Scale (QQS) among healthcare workers. After completing the language validation, the psychometric properties of the QQS were tested on a sample of 542 healthcare workers from two hospitals in Turkey. Convergent validity was examined using the Burnout Measure-Short Version (BMS). The reliability of the scale was evaluated through internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and split-half reliability. Factor analysis confirmed the one-dimensional structure of the QQS with its seven items. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.81, the intraclass correlation coefficient for the total score was 0.91, and the Spearman-Brown coefficient for split-half reliability was 0.80. Additionally, the test-retest reliability was found to be high. A correlation coefficient of 0.79 between the QQS and BMS confirmed the scale’s convergent validity. These results suggest that the Turkish version of the QQS is a valid and reliable tool for measuring quiet quitting behavior in healthcare workers. Further research with different sample groups is recommended.

IntroductionWhile studies on version adaptation, validity, and reliability are common, no tools exist in Turkish literature to assess exercise preferences in stroke patients. This research aimed to translate the Stroke Exercise Preference Inventory (SEPI) into Turkish and evaluate its validity and reliability in stroke patients.MethodsNinety stroke patients completed the SEPI, Exercise Benefits/ Barriers Scale (EBBS), Behavioral Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire (BREQ-2), Stroke-Specific Quality of Life Scale (SSQoLS), and Frenchay Activities Index (FAI). The SEPI was translated into Turkish using a standard forward-backward translation process. Psychometric properties such as structural and construct validity, test–retest reliability, and internal consistency were assessed.ResultsReliability analysis demonstrated high internal consistency for SEPI-13, with Cronbach’s α values of 0.931. Aim: Determining the occurrence of oral parafunctional behaviors is essential for the clinical management of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs). For this reason, the evaluation of parafunctional behaviors in patients with TMDs is highly important. Methods: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Oral Behaviours Checklist (OBC‐T) in patients with TMDs. To determine the reliability of the questionnaire, it was applied in 142 patients with TMDs twice at a 2‐week interval. For concurrent validity of the OBC, Spearman correlation analysis was performed with Fonseca Anamnestic Index (FAI), Patient Health Questionnaire‐9 (PHQ‐9), Jaw Function Limitation Scale‐20 (JFLS‐20), and Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia for TMDs (TSK‐TMDs). Results: Items had good to excellent test–retest reliability. The OBC‐T score was correlated with FAI, JFLS‐20, PHQ‐9, and TSK‐TMDs scores. Context: Exercise-induced leg pain (EILP) is a chronic condition that generally arises in elite and recreational athletes' lower quarter of the legs. Objectives: The study aimed to translate and culturally adapt the EILP questionnaire into Turkish (T-EILP) and evaluate its reliability and validity. Design: A cross-sectional study. Methods: Established guidelines were preferred for translation and adaptation. T-EILP was filled twice with a 1-week interval. In the first assessment, patients were also evaluated with Short Form-36 and Visual Analog Scale, both for preexercise and postexercise. Test-retest reliability and internal consistency of the T-EILP were measured with the intraclass correlation coefficient and Cronbach a coefficient, respectively. The construct validity was demonstrated with the Pearson correlation coefficient (r). Further, the minimum detectable change and standard error of measurement with 95% confidence were calculated. Results: A total of 121 participants (23.0 [3.59] y) were included in the study. The test-retest reliability was excellent and internal consistency was acceptable (intraclass correlation coefficient = .821, α = .808). T-EILP was highly correlated with the physical function subscore of the Short Form-36 (r =.509, P < .01). There was a moderate correlation between T-EILP with the bodily pain subscore of the Short Form-36 and Visual Analog Scale (postexercise; r1 = .436, r2 = .355, P < .01). The standard error of measurement and minimum detectable change with 95% confidence were 3.54 and 9.81, respectively. Conclusion: T-EILP is a reliable and valid tool in Turkish-speaking participants. AbstractA multidimensional scale to measure family resilience, which focuses on facilitating positive adaptation and strengthening the family unit when affected by high-stressful events, does not exist in Turkish. The aim of this study was to adapt the Family Resilience Scale into Turkish and to conduct a validity and reliability study. The Family Resilience Scale was translated into Turkish and back-translated. Simple random sampling was used to create a representative sample of adults from 321 families selected in Turkey in 2022. The reliability of the scale as a whole and of the subscales was examined using Cronbach’s alpha. Test-retest reliability, the scale was administered to 30 individuals two weeks apart to determine reliability using the test-retest method. Cronbach alpha coefficients were greater than 0.70 for all scales. The test-retest reliability for the General Family Resilience Scale score was found to be .725. According to the results of the confirmatory factor analysis, chi-square χ2 = 2.598; RMSEA= 0.071; SRMR= 0.06; IFI= 0.90; CFI= 0.90; GFI= 0.89; TLI= 0.88. This study provides evidence that the Family Resilience Scale has good validity, reliability and test-retest reliability for Turkish families. Further testing, including construct validity and testing in different contexts, will strengthen the evidence. This scale will find application in resilience research, clinical settings, and facilitate the development and evaluation of intervention programmes to build resilience in Turkish families. Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Premenstrual Change Coping Inventory (PMS‐Cope). Methods: A total of 170 women who met the inclusion criteria were included in the methodological study. Data were collected between the dates of November 5, 2018 and May 5, 2019 with personal information form, PMS‐Cope Turkish version, and Premenstrual Syndrome Scale. Results: The PMS‐Cope was obtained through the translation‐back translation method and the content validity was obtained according to expert opinions. After the factor analysis, the Turkish version of the PMS‐Cope consisted of three sub‐dimensions as in the original scale. The factor loadings of the three‐dimensional scale ranged from 0.46 to 0.84, and the explained variance (60.329%) was at the desired level. As a result of structural equation modeling; ×2/SD values of the scale were found to be 4.19, GFI 0.93, AGFI 0.91, CFI 0.95, RMSEA 0.079, and SRMR 0.082, and this scale was acceptable. The Cronbach alpha coefficient of the PMS‐Cope was 0.86. It was determined that item‐total score correlations were higher than 0.30 in all items of PMS‐Cope and there was no need to remove items from the scale. When the mean scores of the lower 27% and upper 27% of the scale were compared, a statistically significant difference was found between the groups (p < 0.05). The PMS‐Cope score was 41.04 ± 8.99. The purpose of this work is to validate and test for measurement invariance of the Motivation Scale for Sport Consumption (MSSC) across two samples of football fans from different countries (Turkey and Spain). A confirmatory factorial analysis (CFA) was carried out on a sample of 668 respondents from Turkey and Spain, and on the two samples separately, followed by a measurement invariance of the MSSC across countries. Convergent validity was calculated by composite reliability and average variance extracted (AVE) values and discriminant validity by the square roots of the AVE values and its comparison with MSSC and SSIS dimensions' cross-correlations. The CFAs showed a good fit. The progressive country invariance test stated that configural, metric and scalar invariance across country produced a good model fit. CFI change between configural and metric invariance tests and between metric and scalar invariance tests is within the threshold of 0.01. This scale proves a robust instrument to measure the motivation to consume sport in the two studied samples. The article provides validated instruments for assessing fans' motivations in the Turkish and Spanish populations. This study was conducted to examine the validity and reliability of the Postpartum Stressor Scale (PPSS) in Turkish.177 women were included in the methodological study. The data were collected between 24 September 2018 and 24 January 2019. The validity and validity of PPSS according to the language validity and expert opinions was provided by the translation-back translation method. It was determined that the Turkish form of the PPSS did not occur in three sub-dimensions such as the original structure. Therefore, the factor loadings of the PPSS one-dimensional scale ranged from 0.481 to 0.678, and the explained variance (35.3%) was sufficient. According to the results of CFA, factor loadings of the model ranged from 0.40 to 0.64, and t values of all substances were above 1.96. As a result of structural equation modeling. The obtained fit index values of the scale were found to be x2/SD 1.88, GFI 0.93, AGFI 0.88, CFI 0.95, RMSEA 0.071 and SRMR 0.065, and the model was acceptable. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of PPSS was 0.76. In all items of PPSS, item total score correlations were found to be over 0.30 and there was no need to exclude item from the scale. PPSS was determined as a reliable and valid tool for Turkish society. There was a positive significant correlation between PPSS and PSS (p = 0.000). When the mean scores of lower 27% and upper 27% were compared, statistically significant difference was found between the groups (p = 0.000). The mean score of PPSS was 16.67 ± 5.74. There are no published studies on the cross-cultural adaptation of the modified Gait Efficacy Scale (mGES) to Turkish and investigated its reliability and validity. The aim of the study was to cross-culturally adapt the mGES to Turkish (T-mGES) and to prove its psychometric properties in community-dwelling older adults. International translation strategies and cultural adaptation procedures were used. A total of 103 community-dwelling older adults (73 women, 30 men) have participated in psychometric property analysis. Participants were assessed using the T-mGES, Activity Specific Balance Confidence Scale (ABC) and the Falls Efficacy Scale–International (FES-I). T-mGES was recompleted one week later. The mean age of the individuals was 67.8 ± 4.8 years. The T-mGES had strong test-retest reliability (ICC: 0.835, CI 95%: 0.72–0.90). The T-mGES' overall score had strong internal consistency (Cronbach's α: 0.961). The SEM95 and MDC95 values for the total score were 6.62 and 18.34, respectively. T-mGES had a strong relationship with ABC and FES-I (r1: 0.899, r2: −0.707, p <.01), indicating a high (r > 0.50) construct validity. On the other hand, factor analysis results proved a one-dimensioned structure of the T-mGES. T-mGES is a reliable and valid questionnaire for assessing gait efficacy in Turkish speaking community-dwelling older adults. T-mGES provides a straightforward measure due to its unidimensional form. Background: The clinical evaluation of a patient complaining of excessive daytime sleepiness is of crucial importance for the diagnosis of narcolepsy. The Swiss Narcolepsy Scale (SNS) was developed in 2004 as a screening tool for patients with narcolepsy and shown in three different studies to have a high sensitivity and specificity for narcolepsy type 1 (NT1). The aim of this study was to assess the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of SNS (SNS-TR). Patients and Methods: Twenty-one healthy controls, 26 patients with idiopathic hypersomnia, and 27 patients with narcolepsy were recruited from five accredited sleep centers in Turkey. Pearson's correlation coefficient and degree of freedom were used to determine the validity of each question. Cronbach's alpha was calculated to assess the internal consistency or reliability of Likert-type questions. The inter-rater reliability was tested using Cohen's kappa analysis, and the intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to evaluate the validity and reliability between two evaluations with a one-month interval. Results: Sensitivity and specificity of SNS-TR were 90.5% and 100%, respectively, for diagnosing NT1. Cronbach's alpha was 0.976, showing a highly reliable level of internal consistency. The inter-rater reliability of the questions and the validity and reliability between two evaluations were moderate or above. Conclusion: This study provides evidence for the validity and reliability of SNS-TR in diagnosing and discriminating NT1 from other disorders of hypersomnolence with a very high sensitivity and specificity. Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic adversely affected the physical and mental health of individuals. Measures required to prevent the spread of the virus, such as isolation, hygiene, mask use, and lockdown, led individuals to develop obsessive thoughts and behaviors. This study aims to adapt the obsession with COVID-19 scale (OCS) to Turkish culture. This four-item scale aims at measuring obsessive thoughts related to COVID-19. The study group consisted of 870 participants from seven regions of Turkey. Data from different groups were collected for exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Data for the exploratory factor analysis were collected from 296 (71.5%) females and 118 (28.5%) males (n = 414). For the confirmatory factor analysis, data were collected from 301 (66.0%) females and 155 (34.0%) males (n = 456). As a result of the analysis, the one-dimensional structure of the TR-OCS was confirmed in the Turkish sample. It was revealed that TR-OCS scores had a positive relationship with depression, anxiety, and stress but a negative relationship with resilience. The findings confirmed that the TR-OCS was valid and reliable. This scale is a short and effective tool for measuring obsessive thoughts related to COVID-19.

Purpose: The purpose of the current study is to adapt the Keele Assessment of Participation into Turkish to assess the participation of individuals aged 50 and over and to conduct its validity and reliability studies Method: The study included 150 individuals between the ages of 50 and 78 who came to Izmir Palmiye Shopping Center between February 2018 and April 2018, who could read and write in Turkish. All the participants were administered the Turkish version of Keele Assessment of Participation, Socio-demographic Questionnaire Form, Impact on Participation and Autonomy, Reintegration to Normal Living Index and Short Form 36 Quality of Life Questionnaire. For the reliability, test-retest reliability, item-total correlation coefficient, Kuder Richradson-20 and Cronbach’s Alpha (α) analyses were conducted. For the construct validity, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted and for the concurrent validity, its correlations with Impact on Participation and Autonomy, Reintegration to Normal Living Index and Short Form 36 Quality of Life Questionnaire were examined. Results: For the reliability, the test-retest correlation coefficient was found to be r=0.631; p lt;0.01, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was found to be 0.655, Kuder Richardson-20 coefficient was found to be 0.655 and item-total score correlation coefficients were found to be ranging from 0.232 to 0.506. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that the questionnaire has a single factor. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed that the factor loadings of the questionnaire are suitable. In the concurrent validity, the highest correlation with the Turkish version of Keele Assessment of Participation was found for, Impact on Participation and Autonomy’s sub-group of Impact on Participation and Autonomy 1.5 (r=-0.467; p lt;0.001). Conclusion: Turkish version of Keele Assessment of Participation was found to be valid and reliable measurement tool to be used to assess the social participation of individuals aged 50 and over.

Purpose: The Health Promoting Activities Scale (HPAS) is a short scale designed to question activities that may be beneficial for the mental and physical health of the mother and to evaluate mothers in this sense. The aim of the study was to cross-culturally adapt the Turkish version of the Health Promoting Activities Scale (HPAS-T) and to assess its reliability and validity. Material and Methods: Eighty mothers of disabled children who received physiotherapy in a rehabilitation center were recruited in the study. HPAS-T was administered to mothers twice, one-week apart. Internal consistency of HPAS-T was assessed with Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Additionally, test-retest reliability was analyzed using intra-class correlation coefficient. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to evaluate the construct validity. Besides, known-group validity in terms of body mass index was conducted to reveal the discriminant capacity of the HPAS-T. Results: The mean age of the mothers and their children was 37.4±6.3 years and 8.1±4.1 years, respectively. The internal consistency and reproducibility of the HPAS-T total score was excellent (a>0.80, ICC>0.80). SEM95 and MDC95 of the HPAS-T values were 0.58 and 1.61, respectively. HPAS-T, all items were loaded into a single component (0.470-0.833). According to the results of known-group validity model, the HPAS-T score of the mothers in the group whose children's body mass index was =18 was significantly lower (p<0.05). Conclusion: HPAS-T is a valid and reliable questionnaire in mothers of disabled children population. The study was aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Apraxia Screen of TULIA (T-AST). A total of 112 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) were included in the study. T-AST tasks were performed once while recording with a video camera. Two physiotherapists scored T-AST, independently. Rater(1) performed a second assessment of apraxia with AST one week later. The disability was evaluated by Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS). Cognitive assessment was carried out with Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Depression was evaluated with Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D). Multiple Sclerosis International Quality of Life (MusiQoL) was used to assess the quality of life. In addition, fatigue was evaluated with Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS). The mean age of the patients was 42.3 ± 11.0 years. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the rater(1)'s and rater(2)'s evaluation was 0.820 and 0.800, respectively. ICC score of the intra-rater reliability was 0.960. ICC score of the inter-rater reliability was 0.971. The Spearman correlation coefficients between T-AST and MMSE, EDSS, MusiQoL, HAM-D, FSS were low to excellent, respectively (r = 0.863; p < 0.001, r = −0.768; p < 0.001, r = −0.560; p < 0.001, r = −0.393, p < 0.001, r = −0.324, p < 0.001). The Turkish version of the AST is a reliable and valid tool for assessing upper limb apraxia in patients with MS. The Turkish version of the Apraxia Screen of TULIA (T-AST) is a reliable and valid test for assessing apraxia in patients with multiple sclerosis. Purpose: The aim of the study was to translate and adapt the Self‐Regulatory Fatigue Scale (SRF‐18) into Turkish and also demonstrate its reliability and validity in young adults. Design and Methods: A total of 181 participants completed SRF‐18, Life Orientation Test‐Revised (LOT‐R), Brief Self‐Control Scale (BSCS), and Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory (MFI). One week later 30 participants refilled SRF‐18. Findings: The internal consistency of SRF‐18 was good (α = 0.710). The intraclass correlation coefficient value of the SRF‐18 total score was 0.608. SRF‐18 was strongly related to MFI and LOT‐R (r1 = −0.632, r2 = 0.557, p < 0.001). Besides, there was a moderate relationship between SRF‐18 and BSCS (r = 0.439, p < 0.001). Objective: The aim of the study was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the Telehealth Usability Questionnaire (TUQ) and the Telemedicine Satisfaction Questionnaire (TSQ) into Turkish and also to analyze the reliability and validity of both questionnaires. Materials and Methods: A total of 107 multiple sclerosis (MS) patients were recruited. The department clinician monitored all participants with telemedicine for 4 years. Internal consistency was evaluated with Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The test–retest reliability was calculated with intraclass correlation coefficient by analyzing the scores of retested 52 patients 1 week later. The construct validity was examined by Pearson's correlation coefficient (r). Besides, the internal consistency for the subscores of the TUQ and exploratory factor analysis of the TSQ was analyzed. Results: The mean age was 40.5 ± 11.0 years. Internal consistency of all items and the total score of the TUQ were excellent (>0.80; ranged: 0.976–0.979). On the other hand, the internal consistency of all items and total score of the TSQ was excellent, either (>0.80; ranged: 0.969–0.973). The reproducibility of the total score for the TUQ was excellent (>0.80). The test–retest reliability of all items and the total score of the TSQ were within limits ranging from acceptable to excellent (0.617–0.860). The reliability of the total score for the TSQ was excellent (>0.80). The internal consistency of all subscales of the TUQ was excellent (>0.80). The correlation between TUQ and TSQ was strong (r = 0.882, P < 0.001). The factor loading scores of the TSQ were high (0.814–0.919). Conclusions: The Turkish version of the TUQ and the TSQ are valid and reliable in MS patients.

To translate and cross-culturally adapt the Multiple Sclerosis Questionnaire for Physiotherapists (MSQPT) into Turkish, to evaluate its psychometric properties, including reliability and validity. All participants have completed the Turkish version of MSQPT and the Multiple Sclerosis International Quality of Life (MusiQoL). Fifteen days later, 30 patients refilled the Turkish MSQPT. Reproducibility and internal consistency were analyzed by the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Cronbach's α coefficient, respectively. Validity was evaluated by the Spearman correlation coefficient calculated by the association of the MSQPT score with the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) and MusiQoL scores. Also, the standard error of measurement (SEM95) and the minimum detectable change (MDC95) were calculated. The global internal consistency was excellent (>0.90). The Cronbach's alpha coefficients of the activity, participation, and balance subscores were 0.931,0.829, and 0.508, respectively. The ICC value calculated for the total score and all three subscores were excellent (>0.80). SEM95 and MDC95 for the total score were 75.5 and 209.4, respectively. The correlation between the total score of MSQPT and the total score of MusiQoL was excellent (r = 0.776, p < 0.001). All scores of the Turkish MSQPT were highly correlated with the EDSS score, except participation subscore (r > 0.70, p < 0.001). The Turkish version of the MSQPT is a reliable and valid assessment tool for multiple sclerosis patients. The Multiple Sclerosis Questionnaire for Physiotherapists (MSQPT) was successfully translated and cross-culturally adapted into Turkish. The purpose of the current study was to examine the validity and reliability of the fifteen‐item Systemic Clinical Outcome and Routine Evaluation (SCORE‐15) Turkish version. The suggested three‐factor structure was confirmed with a total sample of 327 participants including both community and clinical samples. The results of factorial invariance tests demonstrated that the structure of the scale was consistent across both gender and community/clinical groups. Furthermore, discriminant validity was supported by negative correlations with marital satisfaction, life satisfaction and general family functioning as lower scores in SCORE‐15 reflect better adjustment. Furthermore, results showed that SCORE‐15 has good internal consistency reliability and significantly differentiates between community and clinical samples. Overall, these findings indicate that the Turkish version of SCORE‐15 is a valid and reliable instrument that can be used for assessing family functioning in routine clinical practice and family therapy research. Objective: The study was aimed to translate and adapt the Telemedicine Satisfaction and Usefulness Questionnaire (TSUQ) and Telemedicine Patient Questionnaire (TPQ) into Turkish, thereafter to analyze the psychometric properties of both questionnaires. Methods: A total of 149 multiple sclerosis (MS) patients were recruited in the study. For 4 years, all patients were supervised by a department clinician using telemedicine. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to assess internal consistency. By evaluating the scores of 41 retested patients 1 week later, the test-retest reliability was determined using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to assess the construct validity (r). Results: A total of 149 patients (103 women, 46 men) with a mean age of 40.9±10.9 years were included in the study. MS duration of the patients was 9.15±6.24 years. Internal consistency of all items and the total score of the TSUQ were excellent (>0.80; ranged 0.971–0.974). On the other hand, the internal consistency of all items and total score of the TPQ was excellent, either (>0.80; ranged 0.878–0.890). The ICC of the TSUQ's and TPQ's total score was excellent (>0.80). The correlation between TSUQ and TPQ was strong (r=0.734, p<0.01). In addition, there was moderate relationship between the TSUQ and the Beck Depression Scale (BDS) (r=−0.363, p<0.01). On the other hand, there was low correlation between TPQ and BDS (r=−0.217, p<0.05). Conclusion: The Turkish version of the TSUQ and the TPQ is valid and reliable in individuals with MS. The European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire was translated into Turkish following a validity and reliability study, but there is no comprehensive short form available. We aimed to suggest a short form of the 47-item Turkish version of European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire in this study. Data were obtained from a cross-sectional study that included a total of 686 students, 345 male and 341 female, conducted in nine different faculties of a university using the Turkish version of European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire. The development process of the short form was conducted using principal component analysis with exploratory factor analysis, and correlation and regression analyses. The validation process was done using confirmatory factor analysis and regression analysis. Based on the results, a 12-item short form was developed, retaining the conceptual framework of the European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire. The short form was shown to have adequate psychometric properties with high reliability, good validity, a high and moderate level of correlation, and a good model fit with the independent dataset in this cross-sectional study. To translate and cross-culturally adapt the Turkish version of the Facial Disability Index (FDI) and evaluate its psychometric properties, including reliability and validity. Translation of the original FDI was followed by international guidelines. Paralysis classification was evaluated with House-Brackman Rating System (HBGS). Patients completed Short Form-36 (SF-36) along with the Turkish version of the FDI and refilled the Turkish FDI one week later. Internal consistency and test–retest reliability were analyzed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), respectively. Construct validity was assessed by calculating the Spearman's correlation coefficient. Also, exploratory factor analysis was carried out by identifying the factor structure of the scale. After the pre-test of the Turkish FDI, there was no need for linguistic and cultural adaptation. The internal consistency of the physical function subscale was high (0.82). The social/well-being subscale's Cronbach alpha (0.63) was within the acceptable range. Test–retest reliability was excellent (ICC of physical function = 0.91 and social/well-being = 0.93, p < 0.05). The physical function subscale was correlated with the PF subscale of SF-36 and HBGS (r = −0.837 and 0.292, respectively; p < 0.05). Besides, the social/well-being function subscale was correlated with HBGS and all subscales of SF-36, except RP (p < 0.05). Factor analysis results of the Turkish FDI were similar to the other version studies. The Turkish version of the FDI is a valid and reliable questionnaire in patients with peripheral facial paralysis. The Turkish version FDI is the first Turkish tool translated cross-culturally adapted for specific assessment of facial paralysis. The Turkish version of the FDI is a valid and reliable questionnaire and can be used in all native Turkish speaking patients in peripheral facial paralysis. Introduction. Shoulder dysfunction is one of the most important upper extremity problems that limit the quality of life of individuals. Munich Shoulder Questionnaire (MSQ) is a self-assessment tool that allows an easy follow-up and evaluation for clinicians. The aim of this study was to describe the process applied to translate MSQ into Turkish and to test its validity and reliability. Methods. The questionnaire involves socio-demographic data, as well as objective and subjective items for shoulder dysfunction. The study investigated 180 patients with shoulder dysfunction. Cronbach's alpha was used to assess internal consistency. Test-retest reliability was evaluated by the intra-class correlation coefficient. Pearson's correlation coefficient served to examine the convergent validity. The SPSS 23.0 software was used for the statistical analysis. Results. The patients' average age equalled 44.3 ± 11.6 years. In most cases (76.7%), the diagnosis was shoulder impingement syndrome. The Cronbach's alpha coefficients of the MSQ objective and subjective sections were 0.73 and 0.96, respectively. The MSQ total score was positively correlated with the Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand questionnaire total score (r = 0.70; p < 0.01) and the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index total score (r = 0.65; p < 0.01). Conclusions. The Turkish version of MSQ is a valid, reliable, and responsive instrument for evaluating shoulder dysfunctions. Background/aim: Obesity is one of the main public health issues in many countries including Turkey. The aim of the study is to test cross-cultural adaptation, reliability, and validity of QOLOD rating scale in the Turkish language. Materials and methods: This methodological study was conducted among the overweight and obesity people between February-March, 2018 in Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. The data was collected through self-report and face to face interviews. The QOLOD rating scale has 36 items, a 5-point Likert scale (1–5) is used for each question. Results: In the study, of the 180 participants, 101 (56.1%) were female, 79 (43.9%) were male, and the mean age was 43.36 ± 14.28 (minmax 18–87) years. According to the CFA, the Turkish version of QOLOD rating scale shows a multidimensional structure consisting of 34 items. Two items (item 11 and item 35) were excluded from the scale according to the CFA. Cronbach’s Alpha value changes between 0.927–0.930. Conclusion: Finding shows that the Turkish version of QOLOD rating scale had sufficient validity and reliability for Turkish population, had strong psychometric characteristics. Purpose: To translate and cross-culturally adapt the Turkish version of the Graded Chronic Pain Scale-Revised (GCPS-R) and to evaluate its reliability and validity. Methods: The prospective and cross-sectional study was performed with 102 low back pain patients (67 women, 35 men). Patients were asked to complete the GCPS-R twice, one week apart. Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ), Short Form-36 (SF-36), Fear Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire (FABQ) were filled only in the first evaluation. Test–retest reliability was analyzed with intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Internal consistency was measured using Cronbach's α. The minimal detectable change (MDC95) was calculated based on the standard error of measurement (SEM95). The construct validity was analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Exploratory factor analysis was calculated to explore the factor structure of GCPS-R. Results: The mean age of the patients was 45.2 ± 13.1 years. The internal consistency was acceptable, and test–retest reliability was excellent (α = 0.933, ICC = 0.972). SEM95 and MDC95 for the total score were 2.07 and 5.73, respectively. VAS measured for both rest and activity were strongly correlated with GCPS-R (r > 0.50). The correlation between the total score of GCPS-R and RMDQ was excellent (r = 0.677, p < 0.001). SF-36's; physical function, role physical, bodily pain and social function subscores were strongly correlated with GCPS-R (r > 0.50). There was moderate correlation between GCPS-R and the physical activity subscore of the FABQ (r = 0.494, p < 0.001). GCPS-R had a single factor structure as expected. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı gebe kadınlarda Pelvik Kuşak Anketi'ni (PKA) Türkçe'ye çevirmek ve test-tekrar test güvenilirliği ve geçerliğini değerlendirmekti. Materyal ve Metot: Çalışmaya pelvik kuşak ağrısı olan 135 gebe alındı. Ağrı şiddetini değerlendirmek için görsel analog skalası, duruma özel sağlık ile ilgili yaşam kalitesine için PKA, sağlıkla ilgili yaşam kalitesi için Nottingham Sağlık Profili, özürlülük düzeyi için Oswestry Özürlülük İndeksi, PKA'da kültürlerarası uyum için kılavuzlar kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya yaş ortalaması 30 ± 4,77 olan 135 gebe dahil edildi. Test-tekrar test güvenirliği için sınıflar arası korelasyon katsayısı puanı, PKA aktivite alt boyutu için 0,972 (% 95 CI = 0,968-0,977), PKA semptom alt boyutu için 0,910 (% 95 CI = 0,905-0,915) ve PKA toplam için 0,979 (% 95 CI = 0,905-0,915) olarak bulundu. Sonuç: Çalışma, pelvik kuşak ağrısı olan Türkçe konuşan gebelerde PKA'nin Türkçe versiyonunun hem sakatlığı hem de semptomu ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğunu ve iyi psikometrik özelliklere sahip olduğunu göstermiştir.

Objective:Athlete sleep behavior questionnaire (ASBQ) is a new, valid and reliable questionnaire for evaluating the sleep behaviors of elite athletes. The main objective of the current study was to provide evidence for the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the ASBQ (ASBQ-TR).Materials and Methods:Ninety-seven athletes and eighty-three nonathletes were included in the current study and asked to complete the 18-item ASBQ-TR. A sub-group of athletes (n=50) completed the ASBQ-TR twice, 7 days apart. The ASBQ was translated into English twice and then back-translated to Turkish after the permission of the author was received. Firstly, we aimed to establish the Turkish version of the Fat Preference Questionnaire© and secondly to evaluate the relevant factors with dietary fat preference including body mass index (BMI); sex; and subscales of the Three‐Factor Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ). The study was conducted with 261 participants among the academic staff of Yeditepe University. The Fat Preference Questionnaire© and TFEQ were applied. After the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Fat Preference Questionnaire©, Pearson's correlation coefficients were calculated to reveal the relationship between the scores of the Fat Preference Questionnaire©, BMI, and the four subscales of TFEQ. Weakly or moderately correlated variables were selected to perform two sets of hierarchical regression analyses. Turkish version of the Fat Preference Questionnaire© had statistically acceptable validity and reliability. Fat preference did not correlate with BMI (p >.05). Women showed a lower preference for high‐fat foods and a higher dietary fat restriction (p <.05). The two subscales of TFEQ, the Disinhibition of Eating Control and the Susceptibility to Hunger, contributed to explain the variances in fat preference and dietary fat restriction (ΔR2 =.04, p <.05). Fat preference correlates with Disinhibition of Eating Control and Susceptibility to Hunger, while fat restriction correlates only with Disinhibition of Eating Control although none correlates with BMI. Aim: To test the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the General Work Stress Scale. Background: Nursing is one of the most stressful professions. The primary measure that should be taken to ensure that nurses can cope with stress is determining their stress levels. Method: The General Work Stress Scale was translated into Turkish via back‐translation. Its reliability and validity were analysed via item analyses, content and construct validities, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, Cronbach's alpha and Spearman–Brown reliability coefficients. Average and standard deviations of the scale items and the overall scale were calculated. Results: The study was conducted with 276 nurses. The Cronbach's alpha of the whole scale was 0.91, and the Spearman–Brown reliability coefficient was 0.89. According to the resulting one‐dimensional structure, the factor loadings of the scale items were between 0.67 and 0.82, and this structure alone explained 58.72% of the total variance. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed perfect and good‐fit indices (χ2/df = 1.96; RMSA = 0.06; CFI = 0.99; IFI = 0.99; GFI = 0.97; RMR = 0.04; NFI = 0.99). The mean total score was 2.55 ± 0.87, while the items' means ranged from 2.10 ± 1.15 to 3.33 ± 1.13. Conclusion: The Turkish version of the General Work Stress Scale is a valid and reliable tool for assessing nurses' general work stress. Nurses largely feel that their work makes them so stressed that they wish they had a different job. The items with high means suggest opportunities for improvement. Implications for practice: The nurses or nursing services and units with low or high stress levels can be determined with the General Work Stress Scale. If necessary, measures aimed at eliminating or reducing the negative effects of those nurses or nursing services and units with high stress levels can be taken in a timely manner. Aim: This study aims to adapt the London Measure of Unplanned Pregnancy (LMUP) developed by Barrett et al. to Turkish by checking its validity and reliability. Method: The sample of this methodological study consisted of 596 pregnant women who were referred to the antenatal outpatient clinics of a public hospital in eastern Turkey. Data were collected from those who agreed to participate in the study, by using a personal information form and the six‐item LMUP. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0 statistical package programs, and statistically assessed using descriptive statistics such as number, percentage, mean and SD, language and content validity, explanatory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), Cronbach's α reliability coefficient, and test–retest analysis. Results: The EFA revealed that the Turkish version of the LMUP consisted of five items and one factor. The items' factor loadings were above 0.30, and explained 68.89% of the total variance. The CFA supported the one‐factor structure of the scale, which was revealed by the EFA. As a result of the CFA, the fit indices were found to be very good. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was determined as 0.90. Conclusion: The Turkish version of the LMUP is a valid and reliable instrument to evaluate unplanned pregnancy. There is no widely accepted instrument for the assessment of frailty and most of the current ones evaluate only physical features. The Tilburg Frailty Indicator (TFI) is a valid and reliable instrument which enables multidimensional assessment of frailty. We aimed to adapt and evaluate the Turkish version of the TFI.Methods: We translated and culturally adapted the English version of the TFI into Turkish using standard guidelines. We enrolled consecutive patients who were 70 years old or older and were admitted to our outpatient geriatrics clinic. We used Cronbach’s alpha values to evaluate the internal consistency and also assessed inter-observer and test–retest variability using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC).Results: The Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients of the instrument ranged from 0.65 to 0.72 and item-total correlation ranged between -0.05 and 0.57. There was a good agreement between two assessments (ICC=0.99) and between two observers (ICC=0.99).Conclusion: We have shown the reliability of the Turkish version of the TFI as a tool to evaluate frailty in a multidimensional manner among the Turkish outpatient population. Objective: To determine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale. Methodology: The cross sectional study was composed of patients who were followed up in cardiology clinics of a university hospital in Malatya. Consecutive patients were enrolled in the study. Data were collected using Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale, along with a questionnaire regarding demographic properties. The scale consisted of 15 items, and every item was scored as either 0 or 1. Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis were applied to assessed the Scale validity. Results: Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale reliability was assessed with Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient, item-total score correlation, and test-retest analysis, which ranged between 0.70-0.82, 0.54-0.86, and 0.30-0.52, respectively. Conclusion: The results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis supported the single factor scale structure and Confirmatory Factor Analysis yielded good fit indices. Aim: The aim of this study was to translate and adapt the Mouth Handicap in Systemic Sclerosis (MHISS) Questionnaire into the Turkish language and evaluate its validity and reliability in Turkish systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients. Method: The MHISS was translated according to Beaton guidelines. Patients being diagnosed with SSc, being between 18‐65 years old and receiving no treatment between test‐retest assessments were included to study. Test‐retest reliability was evaluated, comparing the results of two administrations, with Spearman's correlation. Internal consistency was assessed by Cronbach's α. Validity of the questionnaire was assessed by comparison with mouth opening, total scores of Disabilities of Arm, Shoulder and Hand Questionnaire (DASH) and Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ). Construct validity was tested by factor analysis. Results: Forty‐five SSc patients were included in the study. The Turkish version of the MHISS (MHISS‐T) met set criteria of reliability and validity. Internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.863) and test‐retest reliability were excellent (r =.88). The correlations between MHISS‐T and inter‐incisor distance, MHISS‐T and HAQ and MHISS‐T and DASH were negatively and statistically significant (r = −0.739, P <.001), very good and statistically significant (r =.664, P <.001), good and statistically significant (r =.570, P <.001), respectively. Regarding factor analysis, MHISS‐T has three subscales. Conclusion: Our results demonstrated that the Turkish version of the MHISS‐T has excellent test‐retest reliability and very good validity. Objective: Breast cancer related lymphedema (BCRL) is a drastic situation that affects patients who have undergone breast cancer surgery. The impact of this condition on individuals’ quality of life should be investigated in more detail to obtain better treatment results.Materials and Methods: In total, 65 patients with BCRL participated in this study. Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) was used to evaluate the validity of associated domains in Lymphedema Quality of Life Tool (LYMQoL). Both the LYMQoL and NHP were filled out by BCRL patients. To evaluate its test-retest reliability, the LYMQoL was subsequently performed seven days following its initial application. Measurement properties such as internal consistency, test-retest reliability, criterion validity and factor structure were tested. The internal consistency was assessed via Cronbach’s alpha; test-retest reliability was assessed by the intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC).Results: Cronbach’s alpha values ranged from 0.74 to 0.91 for the LYMQoL total and domain scores. Study Design: Cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric analysis.Objective: The aim of this study wad to develop "Fremantle Neck Awareness Questionnaire Turkish (FreNAQ-T)" and to investigate the validity, reliability, and psychometric properties of FreNAQ-T in the Turkish population with chronic neck pain (CNP).Summary Of Background Data: As the different beliefs about the nature of the problem in chronic pain (CP) and its future consequences lead to mis-stimulated neuroplastic changes, the perceptual level and proprioceptive-awareness should be examined in CP. The perceptual level and propriceptive awareness in individuals with chronic low back pain and in knee osteoarthritis were evaluated, whereas the neck version has not been studied.Methods: The neck version was conducted using forward-backward method to translate the FreBAQ from English to Turkish. The number of the included patients was 111. The FreNAQ-T was applied to 37 patients after 3 days for test-retest reliability. Validity of the FreNAQ-T was assessed using Rasch analysis and Spearman correlation coefficient. Reliability of the FreNAQ-T's internal consistency was tested by Person Separation Index (PSI) and Cronbach Alpha. Test-retest reliability was tested by differential item functioning (DIF) by time.Results: All items of FreNAQ-T were found to fit Rasch Model (given Bonferroni adjustment fit level of 0.006 and χ: 6 (df = 9), P = 0.739). Internal construct validity evaluation was good, overall mean item fit residual was 0.141 (SD 1.089), and mean person fit residual was -0.211 (SD 1.173). In reliability evaluation, the PSI was 0.69 (good) and Cronbach alpha was 0.70 (acceptable). When the test-retest was examined via DIF by time, none of the items showed DIF.Conclusion: The FreNAQ-T is a valid, reliable, unidimensional scale in CNP and suitable for the assessment of neck-specified awareness-perception in Turkish population with CNP.Level Of Evidence: 3.
