The article is devoted to one of the modern media trends in social networks – reels, short vertical explanatory videos created to inform the audience that receives information from mobile devices. The article emphasizes the popularity of this format of information provision and its demand, which is confirmed by the data from various sociological surveys. A preliminary analysis of scientific sources has shown a lack of research on media’s reels. Authors characterize the few works of scholars, mostly foreign researchers, which partially reveal this object. It was found that most of the articles about the reels were written by practitioners, particularly in the marketing field. The publication aims to analyze reels’ genre specifics and characterize the legal rules for their creation. The task is to reveal reels as a popular media video format on Instagram, their genre features, and compliance with legal norms. Adequate research methods have been used: analysis, observation, description, comparative analysis, analytical and synthetic information processing, induction, deduction, generalization, and systematization. The paper emphasizes the active use of media, particularly BBC News Ukraine, in social networks of a new genre of short vertical videos, i.e., reels that are explanatory and well-received by the audience. Reels are characterized by specific editing, with previews, information hooks at the beginning, dynamic narration against the background of rapid image changes, and encouragement of the audience to comment and go to the media’s website as their mandatory components. Captions and audio play an important role in their composition. The studied videos comply with the current international legislation on freedom of speech, particularly Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights. They also comply with the national norms of the laws «On Information» and «On Media», as well as with the bylaws on limiting the dissemination of information about the war. The BBC complies with copyright law when using audiovisual content from other sources. It is summarized that reels are a powerful media tool for informing the audience on Instagram and explaining complex issues, which is specific in terms of editing and composition, and it meets current legal standards. The author emphasizes the prospect of further comparative studies of media reels.

YouTube videos on shoulder arthroplasty cover a broad range of topics, from patient testimonials to surgical techniques. Inherent to this platform, there are no quality control measures to monitor this content. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality and popularity of videos on shoulder arthroplasty on YouTube, using both previously described scores and a proposed novel shoulder arthroplasty–specific score assessing educational content. A search was performed using the keywords "shoulder arthroplasty" and "shoulder replacement" on YouTube. Videos were sorted by relevance and the first 50 videos for each keyword were included in a playlist. The videos in the playlist were then sorted by popularity and the first 50 were included for analysis. Videos in a non-English language, duplicate videos, or those lacking audio were excluded. Video source, content, time since upload, duration, like and dislike count, were inputted for analysis. The view ratio and video power index were used to assess for popularity. Quality, reliability and educational content were evaluated with the Global Quality Score (GQS), Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and the novel Shoulder Arthroplasty Video Content (SAVC) score, respectively. The 50 videos had an average of 285,375 views and a mean duration of 10.8 minutes. Video content was comprised of primarily surgical technique (46%) and patient experience (44%), with most of the videos uploaded from university-affiliated physicians (30%), non-affiliated physicians (28%), and medical (i.e., animations from health websites) (26%) sources. Mean GQS (i.e., quality) and JAMA (i.e., reliability) scores for all videos were 3.2 ± 1.2 out of 5 and 2.4 ± 1.4 out of 4, respectively. Median GQS was comparable across sources, content, and procedure type. Although median JAMA scores were similar among procedure and content type, academic and medical sources showed significantly higher scores among video source categories (P =.04). The mean SAVC score was 19.5 ± 10.7 out of 45 possible points. While there was no significant difference in SAVC scores when categorized by procedure type, a significant difference was observed when assessed by source (P =.02) and content (P =.01). Specifically, medical sources had the highest median score for video source and patient experience for content. Shoulder arthroplasty videos on YouTube reach a considerable audience, but the educational content and reliability are low. Understanding this can help caution patients on the limitations of educational content on YouTube. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article is devoted to the study of current issues of Internet communication related to the video format of information presentation and intertitles. The aim of the paper is to study intertitles in short videos in modern Internet communication which is achieved by using a set of methods: lexical and stylistic analysis, grammatical and stylistic analysis, linguasemiotic analysis, elements of content and discursive analysis, as well as diachronic and interpretive analysis. The article proposed and confirmed the hypothesis of returning intertitles to the content structure of short videos using the example of publications of TikTok, VKontakte, Telegram and other services. A tendency towards a decrease in the duration of video content has been proven, caused by a decrease in the ability of society to critical assessment and analysis, fragmentation, and discontinuity in information perception. The novelty is to establish the fact that with the same roles in video content, modern intertitles differ from silent movie intertitles: (a) by location (modern intertitles are placed right inside the scene, not between scenes); (b) by a conscious rejection of the voiceover text (in case of silent movies, the connection of voiceover and video sequence was impossible, whereas in modern video content, sound is deliberately excluded, providing the opportunity to watch the video in the “no sound” mode). Due to the time limit and accelerated pace of life, the addressee (viewer) often cannot turn on the soundtrack of videos, while a smartphone with this content is his constant companion: viewing of the studied video formats can take place in places unsuitable for their full perception (in transport, in queues, at meetings, etc.) – where extraneous sound will create inconvenience for others. The work contributes to the development of discursive linguistics, media linguistics, Internet linguistics, linguasemiotics, is useful in the practical activities of journalists, editors, philologists, public relations specialists. The article defines the prospect for researchers of media and psycholinguistic addictions, since the forced compression of film text at the beginning of the 20th century prompted society to develop technical capabilities for the formation of high-quality full-length cinema with modern sound and text design, which became familiar to the addressee at the beginning of the 21st century. At the same time, the accelerating pace of life in information flows returns to society the need for information compression, like the one that was at the beginning of the 20th century, returning the viewer de facto to the era of silent cinema.

COMPUTERS , *INTERNET protocols , *USER experience , *QUALITY of service , *VIDEO processing , *VIDEO coding - Abstract
Nowadays, most content creators focus on distributing rich media at the highest possible resolution. Currently, the majority of sold consoles, media players, computer hardware, as well as displays and TVs are advertised as 4K-compatible. The same trend is observed in the case of popular online streaming services and terrestrial TV broadcasts. Generally speaking, it is assumed that higher bitrates provide higher subjective judgements. In this paper, we present the results of a user experience (UX) evaluation study on the quality of video content coded and transmitted in different resolutions in the internet protocol (IP) environment. The image resolutions include 1K (1920x1080 pixels; full-HD), 2K (2560x1440 pixels; wide-QHD), and 4K (3840x2160 pixels; ultra-HD) content that are processed in the H.265/HEVC (high-efficiency video coding) format. A subjective evaluation is carried out in a laboratory consisting of 20 iMacs with a 21.5-inch 4K Retina (4096x2304 pixels) display. The group of viewers included 28 individuals aged between 21-35 years old, comprising people with and without visual impairments. The obtained UX results are compared with previous experiments, including both objective quality of service (QoS) and subjective quality of experience (QoE), as well as the impact of downscaling to 1K from 2K and 4K. The outcomes of this study may be of particular interest to any party interested in video content processing and distribution, as well as consumption and storage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Creating videos as an extension tool is a part of many projects. However, what makes a video successful? What performance metrics define success? In this paper, the authors review the process of creation and promotion of 15 videos for beef producers with a focus on achieving adoption of specific management practices. The videos, created for the previous FutureBeef project, involved ~70 people across Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory, including a professional film crew. The videos feature beef producers, veterinarians, extension officers and researchers. The authors share key learnings from the planning, filming and editing process, through to content performance. The greatest learnings included invest time into consultation with a broader project team to create a clear definition of a 'successful video' and identify methods so that created video content can be integrated into ongoing broader extension delivery. Doing this extends the 'successful' lifetime of the product. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The emergence of beauty vloggers is currently a trend in the world of beauty because they can influence skincare or make-up products through video content that is shared. This study intends to find out the information seeking behavior of beauty vloggers in the Trenggalek Regency area to meet information needs in the process of creating video content, as well as the obstacles faced by beauty vloggers in searching for information as an effort to meet information needs in the process of creating video content and how to overcome them. The type of approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used was interviews with three beauty vloggers, observation and documentation. As well as data analysis used, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the information seeking behavior model used by beauty vloggers in the Trenggalek Regency area is in accordance with the theory put forward by David Ellis which is divided into 8 stages including Starting, Chaining, Browsing, Differenting, Monitoring, Extracting, Verifying, Ending via whatsapp, tick tock, instagram and google. The results of the study also show the obstacles faced by beauty vloggers which are divided into 2 factors including internal factors in the form of lack of information availability and external factors in the form of inadequate internet networks. However, the constraints from these internal factors can be handled by re-searching information, while external factors can be handled by postponing information search activities and looking for a place that has network access that supports it.

Background Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) has evolved continuously over recent years, with expanded indications and better outcomes. YouTube is one of the most popular sources for health-related information available to patients. Evaluating the quality of YouTube videos concerning RSA is important to ensure proper patient education. Methods YouTube was queried for the term “reverse shoulder replacement.” The first 50 videos were evaluated using three different scores: Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmark criteria, the global quality score (GQS), and the reverse shoulder arthroplasty-specific score (RSAS). Multivariate linear regression analyses were conducted to determine the presence of a relationship between video characteristics and quality scores. Results The average number of views was 64,645.78±264,160.9 per video, and the average number of likes was 414 per video. Mean JAMA, GQS, and RSAS scores were 2.32±0.64, 2.31±0.82, and 5.53±2.43, respectively. Academic centers uploaded the highest number of videos, and surgical techniques/approach videos was the most common video content. Videos with lecture content predicted higher JAMA scores whereas videos uploaded by industry predicted lower RSAS scores. Conclusions Despite its massive popularity, YouTube videos provide a low quality of information on RSA. Introducing a new editorial review process or developing a new platform for patients’ medical education may be necessary. Level of evidenceNot applicable.

Introduction and hypothesis: The objective of the study is to evaluate the reliability and quality of the most-viewed female urinary incontinence-related TikTok and YouTube posts. Our second goal is to analyze the differences in the quality and content of videos between these platforms. Methods: We searched for the keyword "female urinary incontinence" on TikTok and YouTube on 1 March 2023. We sorted the videos that appeared out of searches for this keyword by "top" results on TikTok and by "relevance" on YouTube. We excluded the videos that were not in English, whose narrator was unclear, unrelated videos, advertising videos, and duplicate videos. In this study, we included the top 50 videos on both platforms that were directly related to female urinary incontinence. The characteristics of the videos, such as likes, video duration, views, and type of narrator (patient, physician, nonphysician practitioner, and health care company), and DISCERN scores were analyzed. Results: We observed that the median view count (p<0.001) and the median video duration (p<0.001) were higher and longer respectively on YouTube than on TikTok. In addition, the median DISCERN score of these videos was higher on YouTube than on TikTok (p<0.001). Similarly, the overall quality of videos was higher on YouTube than on TikTok (p=0.002). Only in two TikTok and two YouTube videos have the narrators cited a reference. Conclusions: Our findings emphasize the present lack of high-quality content available on TikTok and YouTube from both health care and nonhealth care experts. To address this lack of information, health care providers, especially urologists, should take an active role in creating video content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This research aims to analyze fraud in depth based on Article 1328 of the Civil Code in agreements that may result in breach of contract, as well as to examine the legal implications of commercial contracts containing elements of fraud based on Article 1328 of the Civil Code, where fraud can be annulled or declared void ab initio. The method used in this research is normative research on legal principles contained in Article 1328 of the Civil Code. The data used in this research are secondary data. The secondary data used in this research consist of primary legal materials that are authoritative, meaning they have authority, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. The research results show that fraud based on Article 1328 of the Civil Code in agreements does not result in breach of contract. This is because breach of contract and fraud in civil law have different elements. Breach of contract is regulated in Article 1243 of the Civil Code, while fraud in civil law is regulated in Article 1328 of the Civil Code. Breach of contract (negligence or inadvertence) by a party can take four forms: First, not doing what was promised to be done; Second, performing what was promised but not as promised; Third, performing what was promised but late; Fourth, doing something that, according to the agreement, should not be done. Meanwhile, fraud, as referred to in this research, consists of the concept of fraud found in Article 1328 of the Civil Code, namely, the presence of defects in will. Defects in will are caused by: mistake or negligence, coercion, and fraud. Therefore, to determine when breach of contract occurs and when fraud occurs depends on a person's intention. If there was already a malicious intent before the contract was closed/signed, then this constitutes an act of fraud. If a person's malicious intent arises after the contract is closed/signed, then this is an act of breach of contract. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

INFRASTRUCTURE (Economics) ,VIDEOS - Abstract
The article shows that the level of criticality and relevance of video information, which is used to form decisions in critical and defense infrastructure systems, is increasing. A set of requirements for qualitative and quantitative indicators of video information interaction is dictated. These include the following: reliability; Fullness; integrity; timeliness (efficiency); confidentiality; Stealth. At the same time, there is a need to use wireless telecommunication technologies to ensure information exchange. At the same time, the productivity of such technologies is limited by a significant increase in the information intensity of video information flows. Therefore, there is an urgent scientific and applied problem that concerns the elimination of the imbalance between the productivity of telecommunication technologies and the level of information intensity of video streams. It is argued that the direction of elimination of this imbalance is the improvement and development of new methods of encoding information flows. Here, one of the approaches to improve video encoding technologies concerns the development of new concepts to reduce redundancy in segments and their transformed variants. The method of truncated-positional coding is considered. Based on the use of this method for encoding transformed video segments in an unevenly diagonal format, an additional increase in the compression level is achieved without introducing loss of integrity. This factor creates the potential for the integration of these technological solutions into a standardized video processing platform. Accordingly, conditions are provided to eliminate the imbalance between the level of reduction in the bit volume of video frames and their integrity. Hence, it is necessary to develop a method of truncated-positional decoding of transformants in an unevenly-diagonal format. A system of the decisive rule for determining the additive informative-positional weight, which includes the value of the current major element of the number, has been built. This rule is based on: a mathematical relationship for an approximate estimate of the code value of a number relative to its additive components by the highest element; positional basis properties that allow you to approximate the lower and upper limits of the code value change. Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the content and quality of YouTube videos of zygomatic implants. Methods: According to Google Trends (2021), "zygomatic implant" was the most preferred keyword related to the topic. Therefore, in this study "zygomatic implant" was used as a keyword for the video search. Demographic characteristics such as the number of views, likes/dislikes, comments, video duration, number of days after upload, uploaders, and target audiences of the videos were evaluated. To evaluate the accuracy and content quality of videos (available from YouTube), the video information and quality index (VIQI) and global quality scale (GQS) were used. Statistical analyses were performed using the Kruskal–Wallis test, Mann–Whitney U test, chi‐square test, Fisher's exact chi‐square test, Yates continuity correction, and Spearman correlation analysis (p < 0.05). Results: A total of 151 videos were searched; 90 met all inclusion criteria. According to the video content score, 78.9% of the videos were identified as low content, 20% as moderate, and 1.1% as high content. There was no statistical difference between the groups in video demographic characteristics (p > 0.001). Conversely, information flow, accuracy of information, video quality and precision, and total VIQI scores were statistically different between the groups. The moderate‐content group had a higher GQS score than the low‐content group (p < 0.001). The videos were mainly uploaded (40%) from hospitals and universities. Most videos were targeted toward professionals (46.75%). Low‐content videos had higher ratings than the moderate‐ and high‐content videos. Conclusions: Most YouTube videos on zygomatic implants showed low‐content quality. This implies that YouTube is not a reliable source of information on zygomatic implants. Dentists, prosthodontists, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons should be aware of the content of video‐sharing platforms and take responsibility for enriching video content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

REVERSE total shoulder replacement - Abstract
Background: Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) has evolved continuously over recent years, with expanded indications and better outcomes. YouTube is one of the most popular sources globally for health-related information available to patients. Evaluating the reliability of YouTube videos concerning RSA is important to ensure proper patient education. Methods: YouTube was queried for the term "reverse shoulder replacement." The first 50 videos were evaluated using three different scores: Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmark criteria, the global quality score (GQS), and the reverse shoulder arthroplasty-specific score (RSAS). Multivariate linear regression analyses were conducted to determine the presence of a relationship between video characteristics and quality scores. Results: The average number of views was 64,645.78±264,160.9 per video, and the average number of likes was 414 per video. Conclusions: Despite its massive popularity, YouTube videos provide a low quality of information on RSA. Introducing a new editorial review process or developing a new platform for patients' medical education may be necessary. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SOCIAL media ,UNIVERSITIES & colleges ,ACADEMIC achievement ,PROFESSIONAL education - Abstract
In addition to being an important part of modern public consciousness, social media are seen as the basis of information and educational activities in higher education institutions. However, social media have not only social and academic, but also psychological impact (which is important for foreign students during the acculturation process). Furthermore, the Article states that certain social media (e.g. LinkedIn) contribute to the formation of professional and academic directions because they provide interaction with the teaching staff of an educational institution. Thus, the issue of the practical application of social media by universities as part of their activities is relevant. This allowed us to formulate the purpose of our study, i.e. the theoretical substantiation of social, psychological, professional and academic features and analysis of the practice of using social media in the activities of universities in Ukraine (V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University) and the US (New York University). The Article outlines the criteria for selecting countries and universities for the study as well as the methods used such as analysis (when studying the practical application and concept of social media content), synthesis (to aggregate the data obtained and interpret the Outcome (Competencies) category) and statistical method (aimed at working with information and digital data). Having analysed the content of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, we concluded that the Content category is represented in the selected universities by materials of an informational, socio-educational and lecture nature. It should be emphasised that professional video content of New York University is more effective due to its thematic diversity. In turn, the Outcome (Competencies) category is determined by the professional development of students, building emotional and psychological resilience when adapting to a new social or social and cultural (for foreign students) environment. Background. The study of digital activity correlation with cognitive-emotional features, as well as with other parameters of adolescents’ life-activity in non-capital regions of Russian Federation remains relevant.Objective. The aim of the study is to analyze the digital activity structure in adolescents and its correlation with cognitive-emotional features, school performance and social and age factors.Methods. Participants are secondary school students of the 8th–11th grades. Digital activity was examined via online survey among adolescents. We took into account the use of social media, information search, watching videos on the Internet, using of messengers, playing games with electronic devices. Cognitive features (memory, thinking, executive functions, sensory information procession, reading and speech, understanding of emotions, decision-making) and emotional state of adolescents (anxiety) were evaluated by clinical psychologists via various tests. School performance was determined by the recent results of the school quarters/semester finished by the time of the survey. Social and age factors included regular out-of-school physical activity and family structure (complete/ incomplete).Results. We have examined 438 teenagers. 53 (12%) respondents spend more than 5 hours a day with digital devices on weekdays, 133 (30%) — on weekends, 147 (34%) — during the holidays. Structure of digital activity during weekdays (≥ 1 hour) among adolescents was the following: activity in social media prevailed (63.5% of respondents), fewer teenagers searched for information or watched videos on the Internet (47.3 and 42.9%, respectively), about a third (34.9%) played via electronic devices. Structure of digital activity changed over the weekend and during the holidays. We have revealed differences between the information search activity and the volume of short-time memory, understanding the verbal messages, and verbal-logical operations level. Adolescents with different levels of computer gaming activity have shown diversity in sensomotor reaction speed, visuospatial memorization accuracy, number of errors in high-speed reading, reading pace, and understanding text basic meaning.Conclusion. The greater time of digital activity among 8th–11th grades students is associated with negative results of cognitive activity and school performance.

Online video services are among the most popular ways of content consumption. Video hosting servers have a very high load every day, which we propose to reduce by migrating the application with the video content in demand to the local Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) server of the target. This makes it possible to improve the quality of services (QoS) provided to users by reducing the transmission delay. Therefore, an architecture has been proposed that allows, at times of increased demand for the same video content, to migrate the video service application to the edge servers of the network operator. To evaluate the performance of this approach, a mathematical model was developed in the form of a queuing system. The results of the numerical experiment make it possible to optimize the time of using local MEC servers to provide video content.

The adoption of the EU copyright reform was controversially discussed by the public, leading to protests across Europe, especially against the introduction of upload filters. This interdisciplinary study examines how differently organised uploaders perceive copyright regulation at a time when the reform is being transposed into national law, and what further demands on regulation they have. The analysis combines qualitative interviews (n = 19) with a content analysis of comments submitted on the national draft law (n = 17). Our findings show that uploaders consider state regulations through upload filters to be restrictive toward freedom of expression. They appreciate the intention behind the implementation of the German law to prevent upload filters, but they do not consider the measures effective in practise, and demand more participation and transparency in the legislative process.

Because of the immersive experience provided, 360-degree video is developing rapidly. However, high data volume is needed to create the panoramic video for the end-user, which conflicts with the limited transmission resources. In this paper, we present a novel transmission approach based on video content to guarantee an acceptable objective video quality for end-users by reusing the transmitted video data, in which transmission resources are saved by transmitting part of video data. The approach is designed to address challenges, such as the increment of video data volume from the tile-based encoding and the inconsistency between transmitted tiles and the viewed region using a single mode of tile partition. We also employ public network traces to simulate the network condition in our work. Simulated results show that our proposed approach can save bandwidth of 5 % ∼ 12 % only at the price of slightly eroding the perceived quality measured by SSIM value than transmitting all video data in the viewport. Moreover, the bandwidth saving varies with different video content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study covered by the present paper sought to look into a range of factors affecting the building of trust in brands among social media community groups. For the purpose of the present study, in order to measure the influence of visual content, the authors of the present paper investigated its visual as well as emotional characteristics while factoring in consumer engagement variables. In order to test our hypotheses, two different visual advertisements of an artificial hypothetical apparel brand were created. The robustness of the results was ensured by the findings of the representative consumer survey and a factor and regression analysis. The survey concluded that engagement with the brand-created content by social media community groups may be viewed as a proxy variable when studying the consumer confidence in a brand within consumer groups. The authors of the paper also argue that an image-based content identity does affect the engagement with the content created by a brand within the social network community groups. The difference impact of the cognitive, emotional or behavioral involvement of social media community group members onto the formation of brand trust is revealed.

This study investigates how influencer videos polarize the audience's opinions on promoted products. Based on opinion polarization literature and framing theory, we propose that influencer video content polarizes the audience's opinions towards products, and video type negatively moderates the polarizing effect of video content. We collected information about videos posted by tech influencers on YouTube and applied sentiment analysis and regression analysis to test the related hypotheses. The findings show that comparative advertising video relieves opinion polarization. This study contributes to the IS field from several perspectives: (1) highlights the importance of context in investigating polarization; (2) points out that video content attributes significantly influence viewer engagement and opinion. (3) reveals that content design manipulates the polarizing effects of influencer content; (4) offers a solution to depolarize audience opinions towards products, enriching our understanding of the impact of social media on public opinion polarization and guiding organizations in brand management. Video is extensively used in everyday applications and services by heterogeneous users. High-definition video information corresponds to high-data-rate representation. Video coding scalability has an effect on bitrate requirement and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). However, the spatial information (SI) and temporal information (TI), that are inherent properties of the video, need to be maintained for the full-high-definition videos while performing scalably encoding using high-efficiency video coding (HEVC) standard. In this paper, we have established an empirical relationship of SI, TI, PSNR, and bitrate with quantization parameter (QP). Based on this study, parametric models have been derived that achieve correlation accuracy of at least 99.18 % . An optimization algorithm has been developed to find the best QP to achieve the highest PSNR and the least bitrate while maintaining SI and TI during the scalable transcoding of the video. Furthermore, the algorithmic architecture calculates the optimized QP that meets the heterogeneous user-end specification of minimum PSNR and maximum bitrate. The proposed architecture consumes low power and energy of 147 microwatts and 0.186 picojoules, respectively, and therefore, it can be integrated in an HEVC encoder for portable HEVC-compliant consumer electronic products. The present research feature the content structure of public and extracurricular videolectures compiled by university professors (n=30) and assessed by university students (n=543). The research included such parameters as interaction, presentation, and illustration. The students evaluated videolectures performed by unfamiliar lecturers according to the following parameters: content, professional applicability, interest, and readiness for further independent study. The students’ assessments of the lectures content and usefulness were most sensitive to the way the content was organized. An extracurricular videolecture was rated higher if it was aimed at conveying information and included minimal amount of terminology and references to the lecturer’s own professional experience, while a public videolecture was rated higher if the lecturers saturated it with scientific terminology and examples from their professional experience. The public and extracurricular videolectures were analyzed from the point of view of their applicability for higher education.

The article considers approaches to the state regulation of digital film distribution, evaluates them. The paper generalizes them in the form of proposals for anti-piracy regulation, promotion of original content of online cinemas in international markets, as well as for effective interaction of online cinemas with the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Foundation. This will resolve the issue of serious competition to traditional cinemas, since the viewer has the opportunity to watch their favorite films without leaving home, and also related to the start of work on their own exclusive content of a large number of digital platforms. The state obliges digital platforms to provide information about the number of views of their content in a single automated information system. This information helps to assess the effectiveness of budget support for cinema, since there are examples of films that did not collect a large box office at the box office but were able to gain more than one million views on the Internet.
