Background: Cholesterol metabolism significantly impacts leukemia pathophysiology, affecting tumor cell survival, proliferation, and treatment resistance. This study employs bibliometric analysis and visualization techniques to investigate research trends regarding cholesterol in leukemia and identify key hotspots. Methods: A systematic search of the Web of Science Core Collection was performed for literature published from 1980 to 2024 using the keywords "cholesterol" and "leukemia," yielding 1,220 articles. Bibliometric tools like VOSviewer and CiteSpace were utilized for visualizing citation networks and thematic clusters. Results: The analysis comprised 1,220 publications produced by 6,771 researchers across 1,756 institutions in 68 countries, published in 576 journals with 5,903 unique keywords. Publication output demonstrated a significant rise from 1980 to 2024, peaking in 2022. The United States led in total publications (381) and citations (40,462), followed by China (137 articles) and Japan (102). Notably, U.S. publications had lower average citations than those from Germany and Brazil. Key institutions included the University of São Paulo, Medical College of Wisconsin, and National Cancer Institute, with prominent authors such as Maranhao Raul C. and Girotti Albert W. The journal Cancer Research was the most prolific, while Blood had the highest citation frequency. Major research areas encompassed molecular biology, immunology, and medicine, focusing on the cholesterol-leukemia link. Keyword co-occurrence and co-citation analyses reveal increasing interest in topics like STAT3, multidrug resistance, and treatment interactions. These insights suggest crucial areas for further research. Discussion: Our findings emphasize cholesterol's significance in leukemia, indicating its potential as a therapeutic target. Further exploration at the intersection of cholesterol metabolism and leukemia requires multidisciplinary collaboration. Background: Recent years, the use of optical molecular imaging (OMI) techniques guided nerve imaging has made significant progress. However, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis in this field is currently lacking. In this study, we aim to shed light on the current status, identify the emerging hot topics, and provide valuable insights for researchers within this field. Methods: In this study, we collected 414 research via the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) from 2009 to 2023. CiteSpace, VOSviewer and R package "bibliometrix" were used for analysis of countries, institutions, journals, etc., to evaluate the trends. Results: The amounts of publications in relation to OMI guided nerve imaging has been increasing. United States and China contributed to over 60% of the publications. The Shanghai Jiao Tong University contributed the highest number of publications. Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science is considered the most prestigious and prolific journal in the field. It is also widely regarded as the most cited journal. Among the top 10 authors in terms of output, Hehir CAT has the highest number of citations. The "neurosciences neurology," "science technology other topics," and "ophthalmology" are representative research areas. The main cluster of keywords in this field includes "axonal regeneration," "mouse," and "optical coherence tomography." Conclusion: This bibliometric investigation offers a comprehensive portrayal of the structure of knowledge and the progression patterns, presents an all-encompassing synthesis of findings, discerns and illustrates the forefront within OMI guided nerve imaging for the first time. Oil and gas pipeline safety analyses aim to enhance the integrity management and operational safety of pipelines to prevent major incidents. This study seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the evolution of research hotspots and knowledge frontiers in global oil and gas pipeline safety. A bibliometric data mining method was adopted to systematically sort out 2,582 studies in the field of oil and gas pipeline safety retrieved from the core database of Web of Science from 2000 to 2023. A bibliometric network analysis was conducted to investigate the distribution of papers in terms of time, geographic region, organization, main author, journal cocitation, and literature cocitation, and to identify the research hotspots and frontiers. The findings revealed that the number of papers on oil and gas pipeline safety has surged from 10 in 2000 to 327 in 2023, reflecting an overall exponential growth trend. Key research contributions in this field predominantly originate from institutions such as the China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Southwest Petroleum University, and China University of Petroleum (East China). These institutions, located primarily in China, have had a significant impact on the field. Notable researchers, including Li Yuxing, Faisal Khan, and Zhang Hong, have made substantial contributions. Leading journals, such as Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries, Process Safety and Environmental Protection, and Energies, have published the highest number of influential papers in this area. The research indicates that although a foundational theory and research framework for oil and gas pipeline safety have been established, numerous research directions and cutting-edge branches continue to emerge. Prominent among these are studies focusing on pipeline reliability analysis, risk assessment, failure prediction, leakage, and multiphase flow assurance, using numerical simulations and machine learning techniques. Failure analysis is a vital technique that is intended to strengthen the integrity management of oil and gas pipelines. The significance is to reduce economic losses and avoid or minimize major failure incidents. The aim of this study is to use bibliometric methods to research 2,533 papers retrieved from the Web of Science database spanning from 2004 to 2023. The analysis conducted using VOSviewer, focused on temporal trends, geographic distribution, major organizations, leading authors, journal co-citations, and literature co-citations. The objective is to uncover research hotspots and frontiers, providing insights to advance failure analysis and prevention techniques. The findings revealed a substantial surge in the number of papers related to failure analysis, escalating from 16 in 2004 to 190 in 2023, indicating an overall exponential growth trend. This growth has been most pronounced over the past 8 years. Noteworthy contributors to this field include China, the USA, Canada, England, and Iran, with Iran, Australia, and Italy exerting significant impact. In addition, the top three research producers are all from institutions or universities located in China. The journals Engineering Failure Analysis, International Journal of Pressure Vessels and Piping, and Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries exhibit the highest publication numbers. Significantly, Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries and Gas Science and Engineering emerge as influential and highly regarded publications within this field. The study revealed that while the foundational theory and research framework in oil and gas pipeline failure have crystallized, a plethora of research directions and cutting-edge branches continue to emerge. Notably, the study of failure possibilities and behavior through Bayesian networks, failure characterization analysis, and finite element methods have emerged as the primary development directions and research hotspots. In terms of innovation, the application of bibliometric methods has enhanced the capacity to handle extensive literature databases and conduct network analyses. BACKGROUND: The development of artificial intelligence in the medical field is rapidly advancing, with increasing research on its applications in the field of bone trauma. Through bibliometric analysis, this paper analyzed the research hotspots of artificial intelligence in the field of bone trauma in recent years, and predicted the future research trend. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the development history, research status, hot spots, and future development trends of artificial intelligence technology in the field of bone trauma to provide new insights for future research. METHODS: This study selected relevant literature from the Web of Science core database, covering the period from the inception to August 2023, and retrieved 420 articles related to the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning in the field of bone trauma. After manual screening, 202 articles related to this article were exported, and Citespace software was used for visual analysis of cooperation of countries, institutions, cited journals, citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence, and other aspects. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The overall number of publications from the 202 selected articles showed an upward trend, indicating significant research potential for future studies. The country with the highest centrality and the highest publication volume was the United States. The University of California (USA) was the most prolific research institution. (2) The top five most commonly used keywords in bone trauma research using artificial intelligence were deep learning, artificial intelligence, bone density, machine learning, and diagnosis. The keyword with the highest centrality was bone density, and the keyword with the highest frequency was deep learning. (3) The top 10 most cited reference papers provided comprehensive insights into the feasibility of applying artificial intelligence techniques to the diagnosis of bone trauma from various perspectives. Among them, eight papers focused on bone and joint injuries and deep convolutional neural networks. One paper discussed the use of deep learning in detecting osteoporosis in CT scans to prevent fragility fractures, while another paper explored the correlation between the application of artificial intelligence in identifying changes in skin texture and the recognition of bone characteristics. (4) In the future, the research hotspots of artificial intelligence will mainly focus on the specific study of fractures caused by bone and joint trauma and osteoporosis. The research trend mainly focuses on improving the performance of artificial intelligence algorithms, using new artificial intelligence technologies to accurately classify and quickly and efficiently diagnose bone injuries, especially for the diagnosis of complex and hidden fractures. Background: Childhood is a critical developmental stage, especially for children with special educational needs (SEN), as it can profoundly affect their development and future well-being. Purpose: To assess the state of research on inclusive education for children with SEN over the last 10 years, 1,024 documents from the Web of Science (WoS) core collection were analyzed. Methods: Using CiteSpace, a comprehensive analysis included an overview of the field, keyword distribution, research foci, and emerging trends. Results and conclusions: This study identified that research in inclusive education for children with SEN primarily concentrates on education, psychology, and the development of children with SEN. Furthermore, future research must involve education, psychology, sociology, medicine, rehabilitation, public policy and law, neuroscience, and family studies. Primary research questions should address the effectiveness of education and learning outcomes for children with SEN, their social and emotional development, family support and participation in education, educational policy and practice, and professional development and training for inclusive education teachers. We expect that the future development of research on children with SEN will become more multidimensional and comprehensive. The research focus should shift toward comparative studies of the developmental history of special children and their peers. Methodologically, the integration of quantitative and qualitative approaches is essential. From a research perspective, a stronger emphasis should be on cross-national comparative studies. Moreover, interdisciplinary research and collaboration should be increased to enrich the theoretical and knowledge system of inclusive education for special children, thereby providing a more robust evidence base for inclusive practices. Background and objectives: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have demonstrated significant potential in pain medicine research, including mechanisms, diagnosis, and therapy. However, no relative bibliometric analysis has been performed to summarize the progress in this area quantitatively. Methods: Literature was retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection online database. A total of 1,295 papers were retrieved between January 1, 2000 and September 21, 2023 and underwent visualization and analysis using R software [Library [bibliometrix] and biblioshiny packages], VOSviewer (version 1.6.18), CiteSpace software (version 6.2.R4), and the bibliometrics website (http://bibliometric.com). Results: Publications in this field have increased annually since 2000, demonstrating growing research interest. China emerged as the most productive country, followed by the United States and Germany. Keyword analysis identified "expression," "neuropathic pain," and "microRNAs" as the most relevant keywords. Extensive collaboration among countries and institutions was also observed. Conclusion: The bibliometric analysis revealed a rapid growth of publications related to miRNAs and pain in the past 2 decades. Keywords analysis indicates that "expression," "neuropathic pain," and "microRNA" are the most frequently used words in this research field. This study employs Web of Science as the data retrieval platform and selects 391 English-language journal articles on "Gastronomy Tourism" published between 2007 and 2022. Using CiteSpace, a visual bibliometric tool, the article constructs a knowledge map of keyword co-occurrence and collaboration networks to explore the current state, research hotspots, and emerging trends in international food tourism studies. The findings reveal that research in this field has evolved through two phases: a period of slow exploration followed by a phase of rapid development, and is currently transitioning into a stage of more balanced and rational growth. The analysis shows that the networks of authors and their affiliations remain loosely connected. Key contributors include Fuste-Forne Francesc and Okumus Bendegul, with major institutions being University of Cordoba and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The main research hotspots include topics such as experience, motivation, behavioral intention, and satisfaction, while emerging areas of interest may include place attachment and tourism reception. The Herbivore Induced Plant Volatiles (HIPVs) are low molecular weight compounds and mostly belong to terpenoids, phenylpropanoids/benzenoids, Green Leaf Volatiles (GLVs) and amino acid derivatives. Volatile phytochemicals function as airborne indirect defense communication signals that specifically attract natural enemies. This case study discusses in detail metrics of publication on Herbivore Induced Plant Volatiles and pest management in the last two decades as listed on the Web of Science collection. Out of a total of 207 research publications, India and other countries contributed eight and 199 publications respectively, with a publication percentage of 3.86 and 96.13. Globally, the impact factor (JIF) ranged from 0.22 (Journal of the Kansas Entomological Society) to 10.151 (New Phytologist). Similarly for Indian publications, the range was from 0.208 to 4.223. Web of Science citation of all papers published on this topic totaled 4,302 excluding self-citation. The average h-index was 35 and the average citation per year was 245.16. If the research progress through these years is monitored, it was explicit that the research picked up during the last decade and around 87 percent of total publications made were from 2010 to 2021. The tourism literature on corporate social responsibility has significantly expanded in the last decade due to the increased practices of tourism businesses. Tourism companies have implemented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to promote economic and environmental benefits while demonstrating socially responsible behavior. Tourism companies generally have CSR initiatives that enhance environmental, economic, and social sustainability, involving strategies to promote positive impacts and prevent negative ones. This study aims to analyze the content of studies on CSR in the tourism sector from 2018 to 2023 in the Web of Science (Wos) database. Recent research on CSR has focused on organizational and stakeholder themes. Recent CSR research has shifted its focus from financial to customer-related concerns. Practitioners are urged to assess past corporate social responsibility efforts and create new initiatives in their respective fields. Academics should explore under-researched areas within the field to contribute to advancing CSR research. Seven potential research areas in the tourism sector have been suggested, including secondary stakeholders like residents, government, media, and activists; consequences and antecedents of corporate social responsibility practices; negative aspects of CSR; communication strategies; less explored contexts and topics; and innovative analytical approaches. Aim: Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a complex clinical condition caused by the compression of neurovascular structures in the thoracic outlet. Over the past few decades, research on TOS has expanded significantly. This study aims to analyze the literature on TOS using bibliometric methods to identify critical trends, influential authors, prominent themes, and emerging topics in the field. Material and Method: A comprehensive literature search was conducted using the Web of Science (WoS) database for articles on TOS published between 1980 and 2023, employing the keyword 'thoracic outlet syndrome.' The collected data were analyzed using bibliometric methods. VOSviewer software was utilized to visualize bibliometric networks and map critical findings. Citation analysis was performed to identify influential journals and significant articles in the field. Additionally, keyword clustering and trend analyses were conducted to explore the thematic landscape of TOS research. Results: In a literature search on TOS, 2248 publications were found, with 1509 journal articles (67.13%) included in the bibliometric summary. The most common research area was surgery (633 articles, 41.94%), and the United States had the highest publication productivity (684 articles, 45.32%). The University of California System had the highest number of publications among institutions (62 articles, 4.1%). These 1509 articles received 7831 citations (6596 excluding self-citations), averaging 13.1 citations per article and with an h-index of 57. 'Annals of Vascular Surgery' published the most articles (71, 4.7%), while 'Journal of Vascular Surgery' had the highest number of cited articles (65, 4.3%), accumulating 2563 citations. Conclusion: This bibliometric analysis provides valuable insights into the evolution and trends of research on TOS. The keyword analysis offers a roadmap for researchers to design new studies. Additionally, the study highlights the influence of economic size and development levels on academic productivity in TOS, underscoring the importance of promoting multidisciplinary studies, especially in less developed countries. Background: Malignant tumors of the digestive system pose a serious threat to human health due to their highly malignant nature. Depression, as the most common psychiatric symptom of digestive system tumors, has attracted much attention regarding its potential relationship with these tumors. A thorough investigation into the connection between digestive system tumors and depression is extremely important for strengthening patients' quality of life and treatment outcomes. Methods: From 2014 to 2023, we conducted a literature search using specific keywords in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) and performed visual analysis of the selected literature using Microsoft Excel, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer software. In this study, we analyzed countries, institutions, authors, journals, and keywords. Results: A total of 384 research articles on the relationship between digestive system tumors and depression were identified. The number of publications showed a gradual increase over time. In terms of disciplinary distribution, Oncology, Health Care Sciences Services, and Medicine General Internal ranked top in terms of publication volume. In terms of geographical distribution, China and the United States were the countries contributing the most publications. Additionally, Maastricht University contributed the most publications. Regarding authors, Beekman, Aartjan T.F. and Dekker, Joost had the highest number of publications, while Zigmond, A.S. had the most citations. It is worth mentioning that Supportive Care in Cancer was the journal with the most publications in this field. In terms of keyword analysis, research mainly focused on mechanisms and treatment strategies related to the relationship between digestive system tumors and depression. Conclusion: The relationship between digestive system tumors and depression has become a new research hotspot in recent years, offering new directions for future research. Objectives: To conduct a comprehensive review of the literature pertaining to the broader autism phenotype, the paper endeavors to delineate the key research directions and topics, document the current research trends, and furnish insightful analyses and novel perspectives to foster future advancements in the field, with the aid of CiteSpace and VOS viewer. Methods: CiteSpace and VOS viewer are two kinds of software for visualizing citations that is intended to examine academic literature and identify possible sources of knowledge. The Web of Science Core Collection database was used to retrieve articles from 1994 to 2024 that discussed the autism phenotype in general. Following data collection, analyses were conducted using CiteSpace V.6.2.R4 (64-bit) on a number of topics, such as annual publication output, highly cited journals, affiliations with countries and institutions, eminent authors, cited references, and keywords. Knowledge maps, collaborative network analysis, cluster analysis, and strongest citation burst analysis were among the tools used to visualize the data. Results: A total of 1,075 articles about the broader autism phenotype were found. Roughly speaking, the annual number of publications is rising. With 546 articles on the subject, the United States is the nation with the greatest amount of authority and influence (centrality of 0.32), with England (218 articles) and Canada (115 articles) coming in second and third, respectively. The cited journals and institutions are mainly from the United States. The research consistently emphasizes the academic achievement and engagement of broader autism phenotype when analyzing the most cited references and authors. Conclusion: This study used CiteSpace to analyze the state of the larger autism phenotype field and then identified research frontiers and hotspots.
