Due to continuous conflicts and wars all over the world, peace work in different shapes is necessary. Peacebuilding describes – alongside with peace-making and peace-keeping – a complex conflict resolution strategy within peace promotion processes. Different definitions of “peace” and explanations of peace models are being discussed for the better understanding of peacebuilding. Women’s role in peacebuilding is accentuated, because it is often undervalued, that is why it is the focus in this thesis. Two examples of women’s peacebuilding work in former conflict affected regions in Northern Uganda and Northern Ireland help to showcase their important work. This thesis with the title “Peacebuilding in Social Work” covers the question “How can social work, with the focus on its methods, support peacebuilding interventions of women’s organisations in Northern Uganda and women’s participation in Northern Ireland?” The main focus lies on the use of social work methods in peacebuilding activities. Researching peacebuilding work in the example regions revealed that community work, counselling and restorative justice with reconciliation work are used the most frequently. Additionally, indigenous methods e.g. for reconciliation are also utilized. Further and closer cooperation between social work and peacebuilding would be desirable for the well-being of the people impacted by conflicts and war.

- Abstract
Women’s contribution to innovation in the construction sector in the Arab world is an issue that has not received much attention from researchers. The reason for this is the low number of women in this sector that is caused by several challenges hindering their involvement. This paper seeks to investigate the contribution of women in the construction sector in the United Arab Emirates in terms of enhancing innovation that may encourage others to follow in their footsteps to enter this sector and excel, resulting in a step change in the culture of the sector and the country. Literature surrounding innovation, women in management, construction sector nature, women and innovation, and women in construction is thoroughly reviewed in order to build a conceptual framework wherein each case study is analyzed upon. This research study involves conducting five case studies from five different construction companies in the United Arab Emirates. Interviews and observations are done with women who have brought about innovation. Finally, a summary of the whole paper is presented, followed by a conclusion stating that women can effectively influence the climate of innovation along with its process by working hard to set an example for others to follow, motivating them to innovate as well and make a change. This is done by taking into consideration the five factors: the qualities of the champion of innovation, the team environment, corporate management, stakeholder’s support, and government regulations that affect innovation outcomes.

6. ASEAN RE-gender roadmap: roadmap on accelerating ASEAN renewable energy deployment through gender-responsive energy policy.
- Abstract
The role of the energy-gender nexus in accelerating renewable energy deployment in ASEAN remains underexplored. Current gender disparities severely impede the enhancement of women's roles and opportunities in the renewable energy sector, and hinder women's contributions to the energy transition. In addition to bringing attention to gendered issues and solutions at the renewable energy (RE) policy level, ASEAN is also attempting to support the achievement of its RE targets listed in the ASEAN Plan of Action on Energy Cooperation (APAEC) Phase II: 2021-2025 and to realise an inclusive and just energy transition as agreed at the 39th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) Joint Ministerial Statement in 2021. Hence, ASEAN is developing this regional roadmap in order to incorporate a gender-responsive approach specifically relating to RE policymakers. This roadmap aims to chart a pathway which weaves women's potential contributions into ASEAN's emerging renewables market, creating a positive snowball effect which promotes gender equity, accelerates climate mitigation efforts and bolsters RE investments.
