Public libraries have become one of the biggest powerhouses for the production of knowledge and information by having various sources and references that their effective and efficient management can have a significant impact on the development of users' information literacy. The aim of the current research was to investigate the role of knowledge management in improving the information literacy of public library users and providing a suitable model. The research method was a combined method using the metacomposite technique, content analysis and Delphi to identify and categorize the components of management-knowledge and information literacy, and then the survey method. The statistical population included 284 librarians and 45582 users, 181 librarians and 497 users were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. The data collection tool included two researcher-made questionnaires for knowledge management and information literacy, derived from the theoretical and experimental background of the research, which was approved by the expert team. The method of data analysis was structural equation modeling. The findings of the research showed that the level of establishment of four components of knowledge management in public libraries of Khuzestan province is higher than average. Also, the level of users' enjoyment of the eight components of information literacy is also higher than average. As a result, a proposed model, while confirming the main and sub-hypotheses of the research, showed that the implementation and establishment of knowledge management has been effective in improving the information literacy of public library users in Khuzestan province.

The purpose of the present study was to create a semantic network of concepts in the field of education with the help of folksonomy. The research was applied in terms of purpose and in terms of method it was a co-lexical analysis. This analysis means creating a word-concept in the design of the thesaurus and its conversion to the ontology. This means that first, the texts, the proposed links, as well as the terms and words inserted by the users were turned into the words - concepts. Then, at the same time with this process; 10 experts in the field were interviewed, based on the purposive sampling. Six Primary school Fārsi text books were the main part and the demands of this study from the research population, participating in the folksonomy. The related users were 240 experts of the Organization for Educational Research and Planning and among them 148 people were selected as the sample, based on the Morgan table. The results of this project were run in Fārsi parser and Rover matrices software for the lexical analysis and then they were inserted in the Protégé version5.5 and they were represented with OWLViz and OntoGraf plugins. The desired relationship was categorized into seven general categories, as well as 24 subcategories, and 122 (sample). The hierarchy and relationships among them were determined by extracting the concepts, and the semantic knowledge and repetitive words used by the users and the experts in the folksonomy were identified. Using this method is effective in systematizing the primary school textbooks, so that students and teachers could access the resources in the web environment. Also, it facilitates the storage and retrieval of information.

Purpose: The main purpose of the present research is to recognize the most appropriate type of planning for designing cultural activities of public libraries in Iran, from the perspective of their librarians and experts. Identifying and understanding the views of librarians and experts in selecting the most appropriate type of planning, as well as prioritizing the use of various plans to design the cultural activities are among the other aims of this research. Methodology: This study is an applied research that was conducted by the survey method. A researcher-made questionnaire is selected as the tool for data collection. Content validity was calculated using two coefficients, content validity relative and content validity index. To measure the reliability of the questionnaire, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used. The research population consisted of two groups: public library librarians and the provisional and staff experts working in the Cultural affairs division of Iran Public Libraries Foundation. In selecting the librarians group, cluster sampling was used to maintain the distribution of samples. For this purpose, Iran was divided into five parts: east, west, center, north and south. Sampling was performed according to the size and volume of each region. 357 librarians were randomly selected 38 experts were selected by random sampling, from whom 29 individuals completed the questionnaires. To analyze the data, Friedman test was applied using the SPSS 22 platform. Findings: The results showed that among the five types of planning, participatory planning from the viewpoint of librarians, and logical planning from the viewpoint of experts ranks first. Moreover, the results of Friedman test showed that ranking of different types of planning for designing cultural activities are significant from the viewpoint of both groups. From the librarians' viewpoint, logical, strategic, extension, cultural and participatory planning ranked first to fifth respectively, while from the experts' viewpoint, logical, strategic, promotional, cultural and participatory planning ranked first to fifth respectively. Originality/value: The present research is the first research that has reviewed the opinions of experts and librarians in selecting the most appropriate type of planning in public libraries. Identifying and understanding the differences between staff and line experts in the type of planning help to promote convergence between them and also help to strengthen the planning. This research can be used as a basis for designing cultural activities. Applying this basis will assist planners and managers of public libraries in making decisions about cultural activities.

Research Objective: Feasibility study of the Family and Women’s Studies Thesaurus considering the expansion of information in the field of women and family studies, as well as the wide span of related vocabulary and the development of vocabulary lists and bibliographies, the Family and Women’s Studies Thesaurus can be a professional tool for indexing and retrieval of women’s information in databases, library collections, archives and documentation centers as well as the Internet. Using this thesaurus, an indexing system will be developed which can be used for indexing, storage and retrieval of family and women’s databases. Methodology: The research method used in this study is documentary-based and the data gathering method was through library search in printed and electronic resources as well as interviewing professionals in the field of family and Women’s Studies. Through building a concept network between the terms, first the main structure of the thesaurus was determined using the inductive method and then the detailed structure was developed. Using this concept network, terms of the field were determined in a specific system and their interrelations were clarified. Findings: By studying resources including books, theses and articles in the field of women and family studies, and using ISO 25964-1 standard, the following 13 major categories were determined for the Family and Women’s Studies Thesaurus : 1. Religion; 2. Health and Hygiene; 3. Politics; 4. Economics; 5.Social Sciences; 6. Education; 7. Psychology; 8. History; 9. Culture and Literature; 10. International Relations; 11. Law; 12. Science and Technology; 13. Sports. There exists a rich vocabulary pool in the above categories; in fact around 6000 terms were identified. Conclusion: Based upon the collected vocabulary and after building the references and scope notes, 243 keywords including 160 preferred terms, 124 related terms, 83 scope notes and 82 non-preferred terms were identified and entered into the Thesaurus Builder software. The alphabetical index, tree index, rotated index and the English-Persian index were developed as a model for the main thesaurus. As a result, the Family and Women’s Studies Thesaurus can be developed based upon the vocabulary and the model at hand.
