Abstract

The article explores the improvements in imaging and corneal biomechanics in refractive eye surgery in the U.S. as of December 2014. It discusses the clinicians' increasing dependence on optical coherence tomography (OCT) in refractive surgery, the emergence of corneal biomechanics tools such as the Reichert Ocular Response Analyzer and Corvis ST from Oculus and the upgrades in several diagnostic tools such as the IOLMaster from Carl Zeiss Meditec and the Lenstar LS900 from Haag-Streit.
