- Reports that the Welch Foundation has selected Columbia University's Ronald Breslow as the recipient of its Welch Award in Chemistry. Recognition of Breslow's lifetime achievements in basic chemical research and contributions to the scientific community; Other recipients of the award who happen to be the colleagues of the former; Appreciation expressed by Breslow for being an honoree.
