Abstract

The article discusses the research study conducted on Laba Yanshanian Porphyry Molybdenum (- Copper) Deposit in Shangri- La, NorthWest Yunnan, China to examine its alteration, mineralization and its genesis. It mentions that geological background of the deposit including quartz diorite porphyry, granodiorite porphyry and other intermediate-acid magmatic rocks. It also informs about early potassic alteration including skarnization and hornfels, and porphyry type mineralization.
