Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 55-year-old gentleman with duct-type intra-ductal papillary mucinous neoplasm at the pancreatic tail. Topics discussed include diagnosis of a well circumscribed lobulated cystic lesion in the tail of pancreas, use of robot-assisted laparoscopic spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy, and emphasis on spleen preservation for reducing the lifetime risk of post-splenectomy.
