- The article presents Linux, the single integrated embedded operating system that is expected to dominate the Internet of Things (IoT). Topics discussed include the concept of the IoT, the three tiers of an IoT solution which are edge, gateway, and data center, and the capabilities and technical attributes of Linux in meeting essential device requirements.
