Abstract
- The article discusses the initiatives of enterprises in China's polyvinyl chloride (PVC) market to cut costs in the midst of constant decline of the price of PVC in 2014. Enterprises increase investment and explore new processes, such as the introduction of foreign technology an ethylene-based PVC unit by Qingdao Haijing Chemical (Group) Co. Ltd. Shandong Hengtong Chemical Co. Ltd. uses methanol to produce PVC while Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co. Ltd. improves its production processes.
